I’ve been going here for years and couldn’t imagine trying anywhere else. Look no further if you are looking for a personal trainer with individualized service and a results-driven mentality. You will be paired with a trainer who will lead with your goals and concerns for each one-on-one workout session. The programming won’t get stale, as the trainers attend continuing education classes and are always eager to apply their knowledge to progress their clients. The facilities are clean and stocked with all the equipment one would need for success. Location is also a plus, with ample street parking and easy T access. Try a few sessions, you won’t regret it.

Working with Coach Kyle has been one of the best decisions I’ve made for my health (mental and physical) this year. I originally came in to start feeling better about myself as I prepared for my wedding and as a former college athlete, I was missing the heavy lifting and structured training. In just four months, Coach Kyle helped me get back on track in a way that felt sustainable, motivating, and encouraging. It feels so good to be strong, energized, and back to feeling like myself again. What’s great about AER is that both Coach Kyle and Peter supported me with a plan that works best for my body and needs. Everything is uniquely structured based on the goals I shared with them and the routine of my personal life. In the beginning they helped with some nutrition guidance and continuously checked in on how it’s going. Coach Kyle has held me accountable, and encouraged me every step of the way and I couldn’t recommend AER more. It’s great to get back into it!

From the moment I walked into Aer on Newbury for a consult, I felt comfortable and welcomed. Kyle has been absolutely awesome to work with! He's helped me significantly reduce some knee pain I've been struggling with, while helping me gradually level up my fitness routine in a way that works for me. I’ve been training at this gym for a year now, and it’s easily one of the best fitness experiences I’ve had. I'm new to having a personal trainer and I feel like I lucked out and picked a great place on the first try. The level of knowledge here goes far beyond just strength training—Kyle, my trainer, has a background in training collegiate sports teams, so he understands every aspect of training and recovery. His approach is always focused on doing things safely and effectively.
One of the biggest benefits for me is how personalized everything is. Kyle builds a program specifically tailored to my goals, and if I ever have an injury, I just let him know, and he immediately adjusts my stretching routine and recalculates my workouts. He also checks in until the issue is resolved, which means I never have to overthink it—I just show up, train, and know I’m in not going to risk doing anything stupid.
The gym itself is top-notch. You can tell the owners are committed to creating a great neighborhood gym with a strong personal touch. The equipment is high-end, the facility is always clean, and the overall environment is welcoming and positive—no egos, just people focused on improving.
If you’re looking for a gym where the trainers truly care about your progress and well-being, this is the place to be. Highly recommend.

Aer on Newbury is by far the best gym I have ever trained at. Kyle is an excellent trainer and always super patient with me when I have questions or ask him to show me how to do a movement 15 times. He has helped me improve my posture immensely since I've started. Kyle and Peter are extremely professional and are always creating an inviting environment to train in. These guys mean business. I can't recommend this place enough!

In 2021, I was pregnant with my second child and experiencing a lot of discomfort and ligament pain. Towards the final trimester, baby was also transverse so I started exploring options to alleviate the pain and possibly help get this baby in the right position for birth. I worked closely with Dr. Chung who was incredibly knowledgeable and patient. We talked through my goals and what I felt comfortable doing. She suggested a number of exercises and walked me through each exercise, not only demonstrating but also guiding me through it as well. She was calm and reassuring, which was something I really needed navigating the last month of pregnancy.
After our initial session, she continued to check in and follow up. I really appreciated the attentiveness and follow through.
Dr. Chung goes above and beyond with each individual she works with and I’m thankful for her support during my pregnancy.

PJ is an absolute doll. He is knowledgeable, flexible, personable, humorous, and motivating. Absolute love working with him and he genuinely cares about the well-being of his clients.
He loves what he does and sees training others as a medium to generate positivity, and just do good.
His approach is different in a sense that he pays attention to detail in positioning and posture so that small changes can elicit huge changes in physical appearance.

Over the last 6 months, I couldn't have asked for a better trainer than Pete. Working with Pete was the first time I worked with a personal trainer, and was the first time I consistently lifted weights in my life. Though it felt daunting at first, Pete has made the experience a fun one.

I feel very fortunate to be able to train with Pete, despite having many trainers over the years I've never had someone in my corner who is so knowledgable and genuinely dedicated to the task at hand.
For the first time my training and health goals are integrated into my life rather than everything from cardio, diet and strength being a struggle or an uphill battle. This I feel is essential for success - I'm truly enjoying getting my health back and feeling stronger. His workouts aren't easy but they're certainly worth it.
As a trainer Pete is all about paying attention to the nuances of training - even down to the breath work - for years I've had trainers tell me "don't forget to breathe" as a huffed through a set. I've finally learned with Pete the importance of breathing, from a proper exhale to regulating my breath and using it to engage my core. It's something I've been able to take into my cardio work also ... and I've been able to meditate because through proper breathing I can actually focus.
Sessions are varied and never boring - and an hour long - the hour makes a big difference.
I cannot recommend enough.

“Peter is the best trainer I’ve ever worked with. I first reached out to him in the summer of ’21 with the goal of making the gym a regular part of my life again. I was immediately struck by how different he was from trainers I’d worked with in the past. His approach was and remains methodical, intentional, and adaptive. On first meeting, he assessed my joint ranges of motion and immediately began drafting a program that built on my strengths and addressed my weaknesses (mobility issues that kept my neck and back stiff). In the two years since, Peter has kept me accountable to my fitness goals that have since varied. In that time, Peter has adapted my program to a five-day structure when I had more flexibility in my schedule and my goal was to gain muscle; and, when my schedule became hectic and my goals were to lower my body fat, he adapted my program to a two-day split. In both scenarios, I was able to achieve my goals; I both gained substantial muscle mass and lost body fat (nearly 10%) as measured by InBody scans. Peter has helped me achieve results that exceeded all expectation and I believe a big reason is his commitment to continuing education. I don’t think I’ve ever met anyone who truly cares as much about his clients and his craft as Peter; in the time that I’ve worked with him, there has never been a time he hasn’t been enrolled in some kind of course or seminar, and it shows. His application of new knowledge and techniques is evident in how he trains, offers nutritional guidance, and encourages highly effective lifestyle changes. To top it all off, he is always positive and energetic and is just an all around affable guy. There is no one who cares or delivers more; and there is no question that Peter has changed my life and can change yours.”

Accountability is the first word that comes when thinking about Pete. I have such a full schedule between work, school and then my other job. It is hard to make time for myself.
