I walked in last week to inquire about joining your gym. I'm 65+, never belonged to a gym. The desk attendant looked at me and returned to her gossip with another woman leaving me standing there as if I was invisible. I believe she said the gym was closing as the building had been sold. The front desk attendant tried to sell me on other Answer is Fitness Gyms in the area. No thanks. I'll find one where I'm valued.

Facility is fine but contractually, they are sketchy. You can only cancel in person and even though I am month to month and I gave 30 days, they are trying to say it's a annual contract. Keep in mind mind they're closing at the end of August so likely trying to squeeze every last penny out of everyone.
Edited to add: Mgmt, you need to tell the people who work there you don't have to cancel in person. Month to month w/30 days notice.

The gym it self is okay, but the service sucks. 30 day cancellation cost that makes no sense and you are not told upfront about, even when you ask. They hide it in the terms and agreements then act like it was something you couldn’t miss. The older lady is very rude for absolutely no reason.

I was told that I would have no extra charge and that I could cancel when ever I wanted if I went with the more expensive membership.when I go to cancel, I am told I have to pay an extra month that I am not even here for. Just a warning to others in my situation don’t fall for the bs. Cancel 30 days before hand.

I’ve been a member here for a few years. It has everything you could possibly want in a gym. Really good membership options too. You can get a workout for the price of the cheapest gym chains that have trash equipment but you’ll actually have the equipment you need. For me the extra few bucks a week is worth it for the daycare.

I love this gym and have been a member since 2017. I had moved a little over 30 minutes away, shopped around, but realized that this truly was the best gym and worth the travel. I since upgraded my membership for 24hr access which makes it easier for me to attend and did find they had one branch a little closer to me. I hope to be upgrading to a family VIP membership in the future. Thank you for running an excellent gym, and having the shake bar that I love as well.

The equipment here is pretty decent but the staff and management are terrible.. There's always a catch with EVERYTHING! They make it clear that making a few extra dimes is they're priority over anything else. Everything you think would be easy and reasonable for them to accommodate is a problem and costs money to fix. (UDPATED 3 YEARS LATER)-They've now increased my monthly bill from $19.99 to a flat $30 without any prior notice. Thanks again for confirming my previous 1 star review

There are many great aspects in the AIF gyms. Hay it's a gym. It is my hope going forward that the music represents the majority of a professional, family and diverse groups. I have utilized many of the gyms in the area and it is refreshing to find a gym in the area that has the diversity of equipment needed to carry out varied training principles. Danny, the owner, is knowledgeable and concerned about and with the health of not only his business but the patrons that pass through his doors on a daily basis. Danny makes a concerted effort to be present and visible during business hours, either as a circulating presence chatting with his members or training himself. In addition the gym is constantly being cleaned and sanitized. With a lack of viable gym options in the area, answer is fitness checks the boxes and is clearly the preferred choice.

This gym is not acceptable at all. More than half the equipment is very OLD and does not WORK. Especially in the Women’s area. The benches can’t even be adjusted and there’s only 2 sizes for kettle bells. There is 0 leg day machines in there.

Started coming here because i really liked that they have a suana and a steam room. Sauna works but steam room is always being worked on. Also showers have been down for a week or more. I like the gym equipment and its very spacious area to work out. The only down fall is theres always something breaking down in the locker room or there never enough towels left for the people who come after hours. I was told I could be a guest to my wife and come overnight when they aren’t staffed. I came a few times and then was kicked out saying I was trespassing. They then said we had to pay more money which is ridiculous! They also never ever pick up the phone. They spend all their money on a barber shop, juice bar, and nutrition shop and all of their weights are cracked. The free weight section is the size of my front porch. Just ridiculous

I'd like to also add: I think that review by Bruno was written by a disgruntled employee. Years ago, I signed up for a complimentary personal training session. The trainer I was assigned to, his name was Bruno and he was a total jerk. He brought me to tears and basically told me I was a baby. He was so rude and unprofessional. I did not report this incident to management, because I'm not that way, I'm more than sure if I had, they would have addressed the issue. I continued to have good experience despite Bruno's abuse. I have been a member of this gym for 13 years. I either take a group fitness class or use the cardio and weight equipment 5 mornings a week. The instructors here are FANTASTIC. My kids are older now but they used to attend playcare and I was always confident they were in good hands. I find the staff to be friendly and the gym is cleaned each morning by an independent cleaning company. My hour each morning at AIF is often my favorite part of the day. I have to admit I have never tried to cancel my membership, which seems to be the reason for their negative reviews. If you enjoy group fitness classes this is great gym for all ages.

Where do I begin with this gym? When I first signed up back in February of 2016 the man who signed me up was extremely nice and welcoming. Every time I came in to workout he made it a point to say hello. (He stopped working there shortly after I joined) To start I was impressed with the gym, but after a year I was utterly disgusted with how the place ran. Number one, they raised the prices of their shakes which is a crooked scheme, they act like they are giving you a burner protein but in reality it’s all water mixed with the same junk. They trick you into thinking it’s a fat burner protein but really isn’t. Next, the gym went from being decent on a hygiene level to absolutely disgusting, you can find anything from toe nail clippings on the ground to mildew in the showers. The smell is horrendous. Third, do not bother trying to modify your membership, the “manager” is a rude snobby woman who is quick to talk behind your back. She is half the reason why I left the gym all together. I wanted to downgrade my membership because I was only going part time while going to the new Fit Factory full time. Members pay an annual fee but they have not upgraded one piece of equipment. The equipment is dirty. I have never once seen a staff member going around cleaning. (I have seen this happen at other gyms). Fourth, the general manager, who is making a serious profit off his crooked business practices, is so cheap that he can’t even install a legitimate camera in the parking lot to protect the members who keep his lights on at home. The cameras they have are fake which he personally told me was to throw off people who want to break into the cars. So watch out, your belongings could be taken or your car could be hit in the parking lot and there would be no evidence of it. They’re so unprofessional! So much for caring about the 6,000+ members that belong. Fifth they ran a “special” for the new year. I say this in quotes because it’s a fake special. They raised the price of a membership from $20 to $25 but now there is not a $60 annual fee. Do the math 5 X 12 = $60 so there is the annual fee that they hide. This is not a special, it is the same price everyone else has been paying for years. Finally, there are much better, cleaner gyms in the area with a staff that actually cares about its members.

This is a great gym equipment and class wise , however i moved to Smithfield Rhode Island and tried to cancel my membership and was told I couldn’t because it had to be over 26 miles ? I live at least 21 miles away but still was told it’s too close and can’t cancle. Also have an 18 month old and Work part time so it’s a little hard to think making that long of a trip to the gym would even be worth it when there are others close by. so the 30$ a month fee along with gas is outrageous. I wish they would be more considerate and let me cancel.

So I arrive at the gym in North Attleboro, parked on the left side of the lot, crossing over on to the right side no cars coming as I am making my way to the right side, clearly not going fast enough, a car goes by me like a lunatic to park in a space out front. When she gets out I say " You know this is a parking lot!" She comes at me like a crazy person saying " You got something to say to me come to my office screaming like a crazy person outside and inside of the building all up in my face. Image my face when I realized she worked here😠! I remained calm and said " You were driving like a lunatic in a parking lot! Now have a nice day. She continued her yelling as she stormed off to her office. This is not a good loom for your gym! I find out later after my workout that the ladies name is Cathy Oliveira what shocked me more then anything was that not one of your other employees came over to her and told her to calm down. I love to exercise and am a member of Answer Is Fitness for 4 + years. The gym has excellent maintenance. Very clean , open environment, equipment is in great condition. lots of variety yet consistent and plenty accessibility. I love the classes offered and the room Is so big! The staff and the people that go to workout are respectful, honest and ambitious. Great environment! membership is better then most

This gym is absolutely horribe! Yes, the gym is big and offers a juice bar..but the staff are not that friendly. When i signed up the guy told me i could quit at anytime. HE LIED! I went there today to try to cancel my membership they told me i cannot do that because im on a 1 year term. I never signed a contract! They will also charge you a $30 fee as an enhancement charge every august 1st.. which they dont tell you about either! That fee is so they can remodel things around the gym. If you do decide to go to this gym DO NOT give them a credit card number because if you ask for them to take it off they wont. The guy told me to call customer service. I asked him for the number he said "go on the website and get it." SO I DID..they couldnt help me either. This gym is horrible horrible horrible!!!!!! All they want is money, they dont care if you lost your job or because of other circumstances you cant attend anymore. I regret even signing onto this gym..and so will you! Save yourself the hassle!

Love this place...from excellent and friendly informative staff, too the smoothie bar and all inclusive classes truly a one stop shop for mind body and soul. I have been a member for 2 years now and have never been happier. I have lost 160 pounds and where I have tried other gyms this is the only place that I felt "at home" at and had everything I needed to acquire my goals and people to help me whenever with whatever I needed.

Have been a member here for almost 3 years now. The staff is friendly. The gym and locker rooms are always kept very clean. They've got LOTS of equipment, plus a sauna, steamroom, private showers, classes, lots of natural light, lots of open space for calesthenics, personal trainers (for a fee), and a healthy shake bar. The only thing they don't have is a pool. The only caveat is that the gym (and parking lot) get very crowded from about 4pm- 8pm pm each day. But that's to be expected at any gym, I guess. I paid $100 down and $20 a month, plus a $35 annual fee (which I was made aware of before I joined). Overall a great gym. I'm glad I joined.

Don't Waste Your Money!

Unless you have lots of money to waste don't bother. I went here for almost a year and I thought it was great for while. On the third month there I got a BS $35.00 charge and called up to ask what it was for; apparently they charge an annual fee that I was never informed of. The staff claims that it is for upgraded equipment, however, my boyfriend and his entire family have been members there for years and the place has not changed a bit.

When I moved an hour away, the woman I spoke to on the phone told me I HAD to drive there and sign a paper saying that I wanted to cancel my membership. I got to school full time and have a full time job so I went when I could. When I got there the man at the front told me I could have just written and sent a letter to them instead... Awesome.

I then got a call from the woman who handles cancellations saying that she needed PROOF that I moved more than 25 miles away. I then had to fax her my Comcast bill for her proof; She called and told me I had to come in or send a letter saying I wanted my membership cancelled and I informed her I already did. She called ME because she saw the letter and wanted proof I moved. She then told me she remembered and I thought everything was settled; I did not worry about getting charged again. Big mistake on my part. The NEXT month I got charged another $25.00 for my membership so I called and asked why I was still getting charged. I talked to the SAME woman I talked to the previous month and AGAIN she told me she needed a letter from me saying that I wanted to cancel. Again I told her that she had my letter as well as her proof that I moved away. She looked at her papers and realized she had my stuff and FINALLY put it in the computer that I cancelled my membership but would not reimburse me for the 2 months I have been trying to cancel my membership and was unable to because of their incompetence. I left a voicemail for the General Manager about the issue and HE never called me back. Surprise Surprise. Terrible customer service, terrible gym, completely overpriced and overrated. One star is being too generous.
