We absolutely love Aqua-Tots! All of our instructors have been amazing! Currently we take classes with Karen, and she has been the best swim instructor for my daughter, Sophie. You can tell right away how caring and patient she is — she always takes the time to explain what they’re doing and why, which makes such a difference as a parent.

My baby definitely has her moments where she screams or gets overwhelmed, and Karen never makes me feel judged or uncomfortable. She’s so reassuring, calm, and understanding. I always feel like Sophie is safe and supported with her, and I’ve learned so much just by watching how she works with the babies.

If you’re looking for an instructor who truly knows what she’s doing and has a heart of gold, Karen is the one. We’re so grateful for her!

Overall, my experience was just okay. Our instructor, Sydney, was absolutely amazing—very knowledgeable, professional, and friendly. She was definitely the highlight of our time there (Level 1).

Unfortunately, the organization and policies were extremely frustrating. I was charged an unexplainable $25 fee and even billed twice in one month. Although this was eventually corrected, it took multiple attempts to reach someone. Communication with the staff was a nightmare—phone calls, emails, and text messages often went unanswered.

Before a recent holiday weekend, I tried for weeks to get in touch with them. Out of frustration, I finally went in person, only to be greeted rudely by someone who claimed they had “worked there long enough to know how things work.” As a person of color, this interaction left me feeling uncomfortable and ignored.

I ultimately decided to cancel all classes due to lack of progress and because I am moving out of state. However, when I requested cancellation, I was still charged for another month (despite all classes being canceled). I was told management would follow up, but they never did.

Overall, this was an extremely frustrating experience. The only positive was our wonderful instructor—everything else fell short.

Great complex and environment for little ones to learn. Our two year old loved it for a little and lost interest. Repetitive lessons are great for new young learners, however out child got bored eventually. Mixed levels of instructors we had. The good ones make the not so great ones stand out.

Very easy to sign up online and give your credit card info, not very easy to cancel and you need to provide 30 day notice which is silly for private lessons. Was good for the summer, the hoop jumping to end left a bad taste.

Too early to comment on staff however facility is certainly well maintained; also, I was surprised by the $25 registration fee per child on top of already paying monthly tuition in advance. The only explanation given was that it ‘secures your spot,’ which doesn’t make sense since monthly tuition should already do that. Parents deserve a clear and transparent rationale for extra charges beyond tuition.

She was initially very anxious about it, and did cry through her first lesson (which I’m told is normal), but she’s now had 5 lessons and LOVES it. I really like the set up of this facility. Both kids are in the SNAP 1:1 programs; coaches are great so both my kids are happy to come here and learn. Teaching special needs children is tough you will need techniques, patience and compassions as well as understanding. Both our boys recently started at aqua tots Norwood after having been at another institution for swim lessons. It came highly recommended from two of our friends. Changing venues was tough for our three year old because he was comfortable and used to the old pool- so the first lesson was met with a LOT of anxiety and trepidation. He was crying and resisting, and the staff at Aqua tots couldn’t have handled it better! As parents you don’t always know just what to do- but they handled it professionally and quickly intervened, with a senior staff member quickly jumping into the pool and giving him a 1:1 lesson. That extra support really helped. We are now only on our third lesson here and there were no tears today. Importantly he has made more progress in 3 lessons than he had in probably the past year. I really appreciate the leadership and oversight, an owner is on site and very present with a bird’s eye view of everything that’s happening. In addition to the many teachers (all classes have small teacher to student ratios) there are deck leaders, 3+ lifeguards, and multiple other members of leadership around and paying attention. So grateful we made the switch!

I have taken my grandchildren to AquaTots Swim school for the past year and am extremely impressed with the program, management, and in particular, three instructors; Keyan, Molly, and Sydney. These instructors are incredibly kind and patient with the children, ages 3 and 4. They are encouraging and complimentary to the children when they accomplish something new. They have instilled confidence in the children and have a wonderful rapport with them. Sydney was covering for Keyan today and my grandson was very upset, crying, and didn’t want to participate in the class. Sydney was able to calm him down, get him to smile and ultimately enjoy the class. Keyan and Molly are equally kind and have a great relationship with each child in their respective classes. I would highly recommend AquaTots Swim school to any parent of toddlers! My grandchildren have attended a couple of different swim schools and, in my opinion, the AquaTots Swim school program is far superior to the others.

The development of my daughter's swimming skills is owed to her excellent teacher Ambar. We have going for more than two years and like her first teacher Mo, Ambar should be named Teacher of the Year. She does a great job clearly explaining technique and gently coaches the students on how to improve. If the technique isn't great, she will take extra time to bring them back to the start of their swim, clearly talk. to them and then guide them to slowly due the correct swimming movements. Like other great teachers we have worked with before, she should be considered one of the best and named Teacher of the Year. The managers Kim, Scott, Karen and owners Mike (my daughter thinks he is extremely funny), Bashar have created a wonderful family friendly atmosphere, which is still focused on safety and overall swimming development over time. While we have only attended 1 lesson our amazing experience started with the front desk. We attended this swimming school for over a year and initially struggled with frequent coach changes before finding a trainer we loved. Unfortunately, after that trainer left, our experience declined rapidly.

The new coach was unprepared to handle young children effectively. During our first class, our 2-year-old didn’t follow a command, and the coach resorted to yelling instead of adapting her approach. This left our child in tears, and her methods, which included preventing parents from assisting our child, felt inappropriate.

We left the class mid-session and reported the incident to the front desk, hoping for a constructive resolution. However, when I later gave a poor rating in a survey they sent, I was informed they would still charge us a prorated amount for the next month. When someone finally called, they defended the coach, saying she hadn’t yelled but had used a "loud voice" as part of her instruction, and we took it the wrong way, without considering our perspective.

If you’re looking for a swimming school that values consistency and a nurturing approach for young children, this may not be the right fit.

We have been members for a year, and in that time, our child’s instructors have changed three times. Instructors either call out almost twice a month or leave entirely. As a result, my child has a new teacher nearly every week, which disrupts their progress since the instructors don’t get to know them. Today, I received yet another email informing me of another instructor change. Also with each instructor managing three or four kids, they end up spending less than 10 minutes with each child during a half-hour session. Therefore, we have decided to cancel our membership. On a positive note, the front desk employees have always been kind and helpful.

I signed up my three children back in September for a time slot that would have them all in the pool at the same time. I told the person I signed up with I was hesitant because one of my children in the pool (who is anxious with swim lessons) might be upset seeing me in the pool with the baby. He reassured me we could make it work. We went to ONE CLASS and I left knowing this would not work out for our family. I immediately called and asked to cancel. I was told I would receive an email to fill out forms to cancel. Never got the email. I had to call multiple times before I finally received the paperwork, sent it in immediately. I called four times, speaking to different people at the front desk, as to why my card had not been refunded. Every time I was told I needed to speak to the general manager and they would let him know to call me. He never called me. The last time I called, I spoke with Karen who informed me she would make it her mission to have the GM get in touch with me as to being refunded, since I had gone without answers for over TWO MONTHS. Karen called me back to tell me on behalf of the general manager Tyler and Mike the aquatics manager, that they would not be refunding me the $400 for the month of September which we attended ONE CLASS. I am disgusted with the lack of communication from the general manager and aquatics manager, to have no respect to call me back themselves. The fact I was swindled into paying for an entire month worth of lessons for my three children who attended one class is absurd, especially when I was made to believe that if it didn’t work out I could cancel without consequences.

My 3yo twins have been attending Aquatots for the past 3 months and I'm blown away by the progress they have made! One of my boys was terrified of the water (would literally shake and cry) and the coaches were both patient and skilled around pushing him forward. It took several weeks and consistency, but now he regularly asks to go to swim to see Coach Molly and loves it there! While I'm noticing improvements in their swim skills, I think the biggest take-away I have watching each week is the boost in their own self-confidence around it! My husband and I had kept our anxious 3 year old out of swim class since COVID. He didn't like getting his face wet or going under water. We were nervous for his first class, and he entered the pool screaming crying. The manager came and spoke to us and was absolutely incredible. He spoke to my son and gave him googles that seemed to make him feel extra safe! I can't begin to explain how incredible the instructors were. As soon as we walked in we where coldly ignored by the receptionist who decided to stay on the phone and keep us waiting twice for her. We couldn't help but notice that we were the only people of color there and from the cold welcome to the nasty looks from other adults and just plain dirty looks in our direction in general, we decided to leave without setting foot in the water. Upon leaving, the same receptionist noticed we were leaving and didn't even make an attempt to ask why. Terrible customer service. If you are a person of color do not come here. The only suggested improvement would be bigger benches and/or more hooks in the stalls, but that’s minor. There are three bathrooms with changing tables and two larger stalls that can accommodate babies that don’t stand yet.

My family loves going to swim classes with my 18 old baby boy. We enjoy the warm and clean pool and all the installations. The classes are dynamic and really cute, we enjoy the songs and the different techniques when swimming with a child. We can see our baby boy has developed, he is more comfortable with water and to be underwater too. The instructors are really nice and give clear directions. Another thing I really like is the emails I get about the report on how my kid is going and what skills we need to pay more attention to so we can improve on those skills. Friendly, welcoming staff. Knowledgeable swim instructors who are happy and positive with the kids. They have so much patience, even when the kids are having a bad day. Most importantly, your kids will actually learn how to swim.

Absolutely love everything about aqua tots from the faccility, to the staff, and everything in between. Every person you meet is friendly and welcoming making not only my son feel comfortable but also myself and my husband. The class sizes are perfect and designed for optimal learning, my little fish loves the water!

Great decent size place. Changing area are very clean. Plenty of stalls, never have to wait for one. They have warm showers to rinse off. Water temperature is nice and warm. Easy to cancel and reschedule on the apps or calling them directly.

I am really happy that I decided to enroll my son in Aqua-tots. The welcoming atmosphere, friendly faces just makes the whole experience great! My son really enjoys his swimming lessons and the coaches, just everyone are just wonderful to be around.

We love Aqua-Tots!!!! We tried a different swim school and my daughter cried every class. She has not cried once since starting here (could be the dum-dum she gets to choose after class). I love their 4:1 kid to coach ratio. I feel like our kids get more attention with these smaller classes and more tasks accomplished each week. The place is so clean and there is a glass window around the whole pool so you can watch your kid from anywhere inside! Highly recommend!!!!!

The #1 swimming school!

I truly can’t say enough about this school. From the incredible instructors, to the knowledgeable and friendly staff, to the full view pool, and of course the comfiest of seats to watch your little one. If you’ve been thinking about signing your kid up for swimming lessons, this is the place you want to go. Every visit they give you a progress report in the app allows you to see what stars they earned for that day and book your next appointment. We are so happy that aqua tots came to Norwood and I love going every week and seeing my 15 month old son’s face light up every time we say we’re going to swim.

We have been coming for 5 weeks and the staff are so amazing with my two kids. My 3yr old son refused to go in the pool and was kicking and screaming the first session - I was so stressed! The staff were so flexible and kind, they got him in the pool and now he loves it. Both are actually learning to swim (compared to the YMCA which didn’t really teach them much). The facility is clean and comfortable for parents when waiting. It’s really a great place!

Instructors & staff are very welcoming, patient, kind & knowledgeable. My toddler looks forward to swim class & feels comfortable the second he gets there. The changing area, parents lounge & pool area are well kept & very clean. I highly recommended aqua tots!
