absolutely HORRIBLE gym experience never again. In my 10 years of working out i have never experienced more of a disrespectful and uncomfortable environment from the staff ever. especially Nichole she was very rude and judgmental i felt very judged the whole time by her during my whole workout and very insecure about my weight. you could not pay me to go back their unbelievable. the people the also went their were very weird and seemed strange. just not my type of crowd.

I find the previous review extremely disingenuous . I've been frequenting this gym for over 30 years , I've joined and quit at least seven times during that period and I've never been given a hard time whatsoever . It's a 30 day notice to quit , just like everything else that's a monthly subscription in the United States .
As far as the manager refusing to identify herself , that's bogus , she answers the phone " Asylum Fitness , Nicole speaking" ! You can hear her across the gym at times . It's amazing what some people will say in an attempt to evade personal responsibility . In closing ,the gym is phenomenal , no games , no hidden fees , just a clean / state of the art facility .

After a year of being a gym member I went to close my membership. I was on the phone with the supposed manager who actually yelled at me and said that I could try to get out of it but I'll just go to third party collections agencies. When I asked for her name she hung up on me. When I called back no one answered. Good Gym poor management. I never had an issue with the cancelation policy terms, but how the staff treats customers. No customer should be yelled at and hung up on. The owners response clearly shows no intent to correct this behavior. Thats unfortunate.

Some of the nicest people I have seen working there the staff are always cleaning the floors and equipment and will always take the time to answer any questions you have i have been to alot of different gyms in my days this one is very clean and great environment and updated equipment.

It's a nice gym but there too boosie and there just after money bad customer reception and I don't recommend any of my friend to get a membership there .gym closed on public holidays yet more people get time to workout on public holidays, Sunday they close too early, alot of rules in the gym and it more of a family business no respect for customers.

I waited three months to write this review to make sure it is accurate. This is a true workout gym with a packed balance of free weights to machines. It is consistently clean, and patrons always wipe down equipment after use. Trainers and staff are local and professional. I feel great walking in and great walking out.

Place was great, I was visiting where I grew up for the holidays in MA and paid 10 dollars per visit. Everything was there that was needed for a great workout. Military discount would've been great but not expected.

Great gym! Has just about everything one needs to work out. Very clean. The locker rooms are well kept and clean.
The only downfall is that the WiFi isn’t good and there’s very little to no cell services. I wasn’t able to load my workout app. But it’s ok, was able to get what I needed done there.

I will be returning as I come to the area often.

Great work out environment full of adults focusing on their own health and wellness! Clean, safe full gym with Cardio machines, free weights section, 3-5 Squat racks, plenty of flat benches as well as inclined & declined. Machine section as well & Full Sauna and locker rooms with multiple showers!

Ownership and Staff are friendly, positive and always willing to lend a hand, spot or recommendations as needed! Pre workout / post workout products always sold and at reasonably low prices!

Great place overall and a true judgement free gym with Average Joe and Globo-Gym Cobra type gym goers alike!!!

Good solid little gym to go to. This is not a planet fitness style gym however, this is for people who are actually into achieving their goals for their own health and fitness. You will never be judged by anyone however expect to be working out next to people who know what they are doing and are in the gym often. Please don't be threatened by this as these are the people who know what it takes to achieve their goals, feed off of it. If that is the inspiration you need to move forwards then you have found your spot.

Every time I'm back home to visit my family I'm at the Asylum Fitness for my workouts. The gym has everything you need and Gary really takes care of the place and his members. The gym is kept very clean and the equipment well maintained. I get a punch card and easily start working out at an affordable price while I'm there.

My wife and I were visiting from Delaware and I still had a couple of visits left of a punch card I received as a Christmas gift several years ago. When we entered the gym, we were greeted by a kind gentleman, who was very happy to see us as customers coming to his gym. We truly felt welcome at this gym. My wife told me how much she enjoyed this gym and that she wished we had one just like this one down in Delaware where we currently live. I am already looking forward to coming to this gym again the next time we are home.

Love love love my gym! Been going for 5 years which is a miracle in itself but the staff is fun, quirky, and knowledgable. Facility is spotless and has so much in there for guests to use but doesn't feel cramped. Monthly fee is less than a dollar a day and no contract.

My last review was somewhat generic so I decided to update. Gary runs a incredible establishment. Equipment is good and all the staff is friendly. It is not a judgmental place in the least and unless you strike up a conversation no one is going to interrupt your work out. Some would say its crowded at times but what gym doesn't get crowded now and again. I will say I have issues with PTSD and crowds and have never had an issue with the amount of people, the mirrors everywhere give you a good way to be able to watch your back and the entrances. I can not speak to the sauna as i don't use it but I am told by my wife it is nice but not always working. In my opinion its a gym, if you want to sweat before your workout crank the heat in your car on the way in. The showers are good just be advised the water is hot, Do not go over half way early in the morning or you may cook, but the good part is the water is never cold. He has an decent selection of premade drinks and water for purchase if needed and the prices are good. If your looking for a great gym this is your place. If your looking for a spa its not. And his sign holds true, the worst judge of you is yourself. So pay attention to your own workout because if you feel you need to watch everybody elses routine you may shame your self because some of the older crowd kill it in this place, but as i said no one judges you, only you.

Please be careful if you join this gym. I paid with my credit card and the gym was able to access my account each month. After changing the credit card after paying my fees for over a year, I spoke with the owner and explained I did not want to continue the membership. He said it was fine and if I ever wanted to come back, to give him a call and let him know. A month later, I got a Notice from the Western Mass Credit Corp for $201.33!!! I understand you sign a contract, but if this is the way the Asylum gym wants to run it's business then it is not for me!!! They have just contractually sealed the fact that I will NEVER return to this gym and that I will let anyone know that will listen about their poor business practice. This is NOT the way to earn client loyalty or to gain new clients. Highly disappointed.
