Coming here has kept me consistently working out for years, something I could never do myself. Worked with a couple trainers, all were great, and my latest Roberto might be the best. He’s really customized workouts to us, with things like off day workouts tailored to our gym. I especially enjoyed some workouts sets he set up so I could work out at an outdoor park gym so I could let being outside motivate me extra.

The staff is top notch. No bro science. The trainers are knowledgable professionals. They put together a tailored plan, track it, and do a good job with injury prevention, form, and nutrition advice.
Their knowledge and the clientele is broad. I've seen adults of all ages and body types working out here. I'm young and my focus is on muscle building and getting stronger. I've made good gains over the years. Every person's goals are slightly unique and I believe the staff here can handle any goal for any aged adult.
I've shopped for personal training and been quoted 3x the cost of Aum at other gyms. It's hard to imagine those trainers provide more value than this staff. The price is reasonable (for personal training in Boston) to automate my training.

Me and my boyfriend have been coming to AUM for a couple of years for personal training, and we love it. The facilities are well-kept and regularly upgraded, and all the trainers we have worked with are kind and knowledgeable. Shout-out to our current trainer Roberto, who is awesome! My son, Coach Ming, joined AUM last July right after he finished college. I started training with him at AUM last September. By now, I’m totally addicted to the training sessions. I’ve been struggling with mobility issues for the past 30+ years, have tried PT and vestibular therapies many times without much improvement. I’m genuinely amazed that training at AUM for the past few short months has already made a huge difference. My left side atrophy is almost reversed. I built up muscles, gained a lot of strength and mobility, and I’m eating better too adding adequate amount of protein into my diet. The coaches at AUM are very caring, knowledgeable and delightful. Since joining Aum Training in 2022, my fitness journey has completely transformed. My body composition has improved, and my eating and drinking habits have changed for the better. I’m lifting weights I never thought I’d be able to touch, and I feel stronger, more confident, and accountable for my progress. I joined AUM 4 months ago for both strength training and nutrition. I am in my mid 40s and was struggling to lose weight and improve my fitness. I was stuck, doing what I had always known, lots of cardio and some weights. But things change when you hit 40 and I didn't know what to do! I didn’t have a lot of energy or motivation and needed guidance as to what I needed.

I came across AUM which happened to just be up the street from me. I met with Chris for an assessment first, and he really listened and understood what I needed.

He set me up with Ming as my fitness coach who was perfect for me, he has been an absolute pleasure to work with! He sets workouts for me that play to my strengths and is always pushing me to do my best and beyond. And even better, he makes it fun!

Erika has helped me so much with my nutrition, with what is best to eat as well as supplements for my body and needs. Everyone is there to help when you need it with any questions you have.

I have lost 10 pounds in 4 months. I am feeling stronger and have more energy. I am a snowboarder as well and have noticed a huge difference when on the mountain both with energy and movement.

Working with Chris @ Aum Training Center has been a massive game-changer for my overall mental and physical health journey.

Prior to working with Chris, I had tried several different trainers and fitness programs. I was in the gym consistently several days/week but the results were not there. Frustration was mounting and motivation was declining.

I knew the importance of being active but something was missing. I was referred to Chris at AUM Training Center and knew immediately I was in front of the right team! Chris invited me for a 1 on 1 consultation to understand my goals with fitness, work, and wanting to be more effective in my day-to-day life.

Was introduced to Coach Erika & Coach Chris 1.5 months ago & it’s been such a blessing! I initially was exploring the option because I felt aligned with their holistic approach to health.

It had been hard to break my plateau and get closer to my goal weight with some hormone/gut issues that had turned up in my bloodwork & have already made a ton of progress - down 10 pounds so far and have increased my muscle mass too!

The atmosphere at the gym is super friendly and the owner, Chris, is always very helpful and really cares about making the experience a great one, whether that’s staying late to answer all 12 of my questions or checking in on you to see how things are going. To me, it makes all the difference!

Coach Erika has been amazing as my trainer and I always leave our sessions feeling so much stronger. She’s great about not just form, but also progressively challenging you weight-wise & also hands on corrections so you can get the most of out each exercise too. Personally really excited to see where I’ll be in another 1.5 months!

In my opinion this is probably one of the best investments you can make since it’s in yourself - it’s been surprising and rewarding to even see the progress in more ways than I would have thought!

I recently completed the three-month personal training program and I can't speak highly enough about the impact it has had on my overall well-being. I knew this program was going to be different during my first meeting with Chris where he made it clear that while this program was about improving physical fitness, it was also about transforming my mindset around my personal wellness. The coaching staff are all extremely supportive & knowledgeable, tailoring the program to my capabilities and goals. I am a 34F who has been working out at AUM Fitness for approximately 6 months now. Prior to starting at AUM, I would say that my relationship with fitness was inconsistent at best. A lot of starting / stopping and inconsistency, resulting in very little gains or progress. Starting my journey, I had very little knowledge of how to achieve the results I wanted and was intimidated by the overall process. I initially decided to start working out with AUM because their team was knowledgable and the atmosphere was friendly, relaxed and welcoming.

Since joining, I have lost over 25lbs working out with the routine recommended by the trainer I partner with (Skyler) and have had the most consistent and healthy journey with fitness I've ever had. Originally, I joined to lose weight but I now am focused on strength. Starting out I could do no pushups and am now at 13 full send pushups, working now on pullups. I feel amazing and am incredibly proud of what I accomplished under the guidance of Skyler and the AUM team.

My biggest struggle was accountability and consistency. With AUM, I was able to better understand a nutrition plan that worked for me and gave me the protein and nutrients I needed to make fitness gains (via meeting with their nutritionist) - and I was able to work with them to build a plan that worked for me with a heavy work travel schedule. I receive workouts for non-training days via the app to stay consistent, accountable and have guided structure when I'm home. And I have access to my trainer on off days to ask questions / get additional pointers.

It's truly a welcoming, positive environment for all ages and fitness levels. Everyone knows one another by name and builds a really encouraging and comfortable atmosphere. Would recommend to anyone looking to build strength or feel better!

I can’t say enough good things about Aum. I started coming in my second trimester of pregnancy, having worked with another trainer, and was already having a hard time moving as well as exasperated knee pain that I have been dealing with my whole life. At Aum that all changed, I am moving better than I was pre pregnancy,having so much less knee pain and feeling great. I am absolutely stronger than my pre- pregnancy state as well. My physical therapist even commented on my improved state saying “ I’m so impressed, if only all pregnant women had access to such great training through pregnancy” as I am Experiencing little of the pains that are common in pregnancy.

At Aum they are extremely conscious of every movement you make ensuring that not only you and the baby are safe but that you are getting everything you can out of each movement. Everything is completely catered to you to keep you appropriately challenged throughout pregnancy.

I have no doubt that me feeling this great and moving this great late into my third trimester is a direct reflection of training here and am confident it will set me up for an easy recovery and bounce back.

I reached a point this past year where I did not like the changes happening in my body. I was afraid of hurting myself while working out on my own or in a big group at the gym so I just didn’t go. Fear, lack of motivation and lack of confidence prompted my need for a change in my exercise plan and the need for an accountability partner. I spoke with a neighbor and friend who couldn’t say enough good things about Nicole, Chris and the entire AUM Team.

A few of my goals were to build confidence in my ability to consistently exercise without pain as well as to build strength, balance and coordination so I can enjoy movement in my life for many years to come.

I joined AUM in June of 2022. I had graduated college and moved back to the city and really wanted to get better control of my health. I have had personal trainers before that I haven't been able to stay consistent with or I haven't felt were the right for me so I was hesitant to join another gym but as soon as I stepped into AUM it felt like home. During my time there I worked with Skyler and with his and Chris's support I was able to reintroduce strength training in an exercise in a way that I genuinely enjoyed. I was originally drawn to AUM Healing about a year ago when I wanted a major change in my overall health. I count my blessings that I was paired with trainer Nicole to help guide me in my health journey. My fiancée and I have been working with Erika at AUM for over a year and a half and the strides we've made in that time period have been amazing. After decades of neglecting my body, I contacted Aum hoping to lose some weight, increase confidence, and develop healthy and active habits. In helping me to work towards these goals, Aum has exceeded all expectations.

At the start, I was concerned that I was too undisciplined to want to build healthy habits and stick with training. I was also concerned that training might feel like too much and that my trainer would expect more from me than I could deliver at the time. I had confidence issues that made me nervous at the thought of working out in a group of strangers like you would at a gym.

Training at Aum, while not easy, was managed in such a way that each session presents a digestible challenge, so performing increasingly difficult tasks is encouraging and not demoralizing. I’ve never felt especially comfortable in a gym and have always wished I was in better/more functional shape. After a lot of stops and starts with lifting and fitness, I made it a goal to start with personal training in 2022! Researching around, Aum had tons of great reviews and I took a shot at the consultation. Chris was instantly engaging and helpful, he took care to talk through my goals with me and walk me through what I could expect if I started with Aum. I ultimately wanted to work on strength and aesthetics- I’m a skinny dude and my nutrition is adequate so I didn’t need to fully reaudit my diet but these are absolutely the people I’ll go to when I’m ready to upgrade there! I’ve been lucky enough to do a three month session with Nicole who strikes an incredible balance between being knowledgeable, motivating, and fun. My anxiety/embarrassment about not knowing what I was doing was gone in a session and I was EXCITED to come and train twice a week. I learned what it felt like to have a great workout and focused on my form and body awareness which have translated into results and success in my non-Aum workout. Sessions were challenging but never discouraging and I always left in a better mood than when I came in. The facility is well maintained and they’re always trying new/cool equipment, I was almost always the only client in the gym (which I loved since I got to pick the tunes!) and I never felt crowded or rushed. The team is flexible and proactive with session scheduling and the app works really well to track workouts outside of the facility. Highly recommend this place, just be mindful and transparent about your goals and they will work hard to get you there! A+, Aum has really improved my life!

Aum is amazing. I came in after recovering from an ankle sprain, completely out of shape, with the hope of losing pandemic pounds and avoiding more injuries. Coach Nicole tailored workouts for my goals - she is a very skilled trainer and in every session she has adjusted exercises pretty carefully based on where I've been specifically strong or weak or inflexible. The effects of two hours of weekly workouts were very noticeable very quickly, making me more solid on my feet almost right away, and then making me stronger all around over time. At the beginning of the quarantine, as I was about to turn 50, I told my friend that this was a turning point- either we needed to keep ourselves strong & healthy or we’d let ourselves go with no turning back.

Although there were good intentions, I had little motivation to exercise with all the stress of work, childcare, housework etc. 24/7- not to mention a profound loss. I didn’t quite let myself go but it was definitely status quo at a not-so-great status. I had good intentions but couldn’t stay consistent. So much easier to grab a treat for breakfast or takeout for dinner and even more easy to sit on the couch and binge watch a show.

Fast forward one year, with life seemingly going back to normal, I decided that I needed to refocus on myself and my health. At age 51 and running around after an 8 year old, I also need to keep myself fit for her and set a better example.

I came across an IG ad from Aum Training Center and started an inquiry about their training services. Coach Chris called me soon after and had such a kind and engaging manner, I decided to meet with him to get more info and check out the studio. I immediately felt at home. Chris was completely down to earth, the studio had the warm energy of a yoga studio and none of the pretension of a gym. We had a great conversation about my experience with weight, fitness, yoga and running, then set realistic and attainable goals. Chris matched me up with Coach Ozzy who I immediately connected with because I got a very familial vibe from him. He was very flexible in scheduling as I had a very limited time window. He also provided me with delicious healthy recipes and reminded me that, rather than “dieting”, actually eating healthy meals is the key to success. Ozzy knows how to test my limits without pushing me so hard that I give up. One of my favorite things about him is that he is respectful of my own knowledge and integrates that into the plan. An extra bonus is that have great conversations too! Each workout is filled with music, laughter, and sweat!

I started working out with him twice a week and being more conscious about food intake. Within weeks, I felt better, slept better and began noticing a change. Clothes began fitting differently and I had to start digging into the back of my closet for smaller sizes.

Circling back to my friend, who has always been one of my biggest cheerleaders and greatest motivators. He will now be joining me at Aum and we’ll be working out together with Ozzy. Looking forward to continuing this journey and staying healthy together with a pact to never let the other let themself go! Thanks to Aum, Coach Chris and Coach Ozzy, who will definitely keeps us on track!

I joined AUM last year following two major surgeries that left me with a complication that I wasn’t entirely sure how to navigate with regards to exercise. I was looking to learn how to work out with the new restriction while getting stronger at the same time which is exactly what happened while working with Coach Ozzie. My physical therapist had told me I would never be able to lift overheard heavier then 8 pounds and we easily quadrupled that in under 6 months. He definitely pushed me when I needed and didn’t take my complaints (which were often) when it came to doesn’t an excercise I didn’t like. AUM is a great facility and a really fun place to train. Everyone there is very encouraging in your journey regardless of if they are your coach. I learned a lot that I am able to incorporate confidently on my own which is especially useful following the future surgeries I will have to undergo. My experience with Aum Training Center and with Coach Chris has been transformational! I started with Chris in late summer of 2018 after having many personal trainers over the years, most recently at a high-end Boston fitness club. I was highly disappointed with my training there - bored, not challenging, same routine, expensive and no results. I didn’t look forward to the sessions and I didn’t like the environment ... too crowded, questionable cleanliness, etc. By chance, I walked by Aum Training Center and decided to check out its website. I was very intrigued by the number of testimonials that described “life-changing results” ... not just pounds. Should I try yet again another trainer? I was really ready to make a commitment so I did a consultation with Coach Chris.

One of my biggest surprises after starting to work with Chris was the focus on nutrition. I started to make changes and the best part, I wasn’t hungry ... I didn’t crave the sweets. I’m not perfect, but I feel so much better - less bloated and more energy. The training sessions are always challenging … concentrated on form and pushing myself.

Two things to share on my journey. First, the results that I experienced once I was ready to commit were amazing. My body fat went from 19% to 11%. I lost almost 12 pounds of fat, but gained over 4 pounds of muscle. My clothes fit so much better! Second, consistency in maintaining strength training is important to keep those results. The commitment of Aum Training Center is exceptional. And, particularly during this terrible health crisis that keeps us all at home, Chris and his team are that much more valuable, addressing these issues - starting with nutrition and strength training... even if you don’t have a home gym. In fact, some of the more challenging routines can just be done with body weight!

I would recommend AUM to anyone that has tried the yo yo dieting or just can’t get motivated to start a workout regime. I saw an add on Facebook for AUM and contacted Chris the next day. AUM is not just for scheduled workouts, it is a wholistic lifestyle overhaul that will work for you long term. I was already calling plastic surgeons about liposuction and by luck I was connected with AUM! Chris was awesome at listening to what I was trying to achieve and created a whole plan with me. I began working with Chris about 6 months ago due to a referral from my physical therapist. Because of a chronic pain condition, I wasn't sure if I'd be able to sustain this type of exercise program. Working with Chris changed my life. After years of knee problems and a knee surgery in 2011, I was out of shape, in pain and unable even to cycle or swim comfortably, let alone do my favorite things such as downhill ski with my children. I had gone through several cycles of physical therapy with multiple practitioners and it only seemed to make things worse. The doctors told me that I shouldn’t expect to improve given that I had already tried everything. They were recommending further surgeries.

Then I met Chris. He did a comprehensive evaluation and immediately found exercises I could do pain free to start getting back in shape. Chris was encyclopedic and customized everything to me in a way that I had never experienced before. If one exercise was causing pain, he always had five more options that would achieve the same goal. This was far more effective than anything I’d read on the internet or the cookie cutter stuff that I’d received from physical therapists. This integrated, customized program caused slow steady improvement that just wasn’t happening through physical therapy or through my own workout program.

Chris listened to my goals. Thinking it probably not possible, I told him I wanted to ski aggressively like I did in my 20’s. Slowly, over the course of a couple of years, he took me from not even being able to cycle to having stronger legs (and stronger full body) than I’d ever had in my life. I was aggressively skiing double black diamond runs with my kids and even on playing on an ultimate Frisbee club team. Plus, now I generally feel good about my body and my psyche is much better in general.

I’m a very busy professional with kids and Chris provided great flexibility in scheduling sessions. He’s the kind of ultra-dedicated person who loves his job and goes over the top. I can text him any time with questions and he responds. As an included value add, he evaluated the whole me. He looked not just at my exercise but also analyzed my diet and my sleeping patterns and recommended specific changes.

This was money well spent. Chris is worth every penny.

Ive worked out and been involved in sports my whole life, however pushing 40 with a family, I’ve found it hard to achieve my fitness goals lately. I live in NY with plenty of access to fitness professionals however after talking with Chris I knew I wanted to work with him even though he is Boston. Chris has a great combination of knowledge and passion with an understanding of the difficulties many individuals have with fitness. Fast-forward 7-8 months and I have seen huge changes. I work 10 hour days, commute 2 1/2 hrs each day and have 2 young kids at home. This leaves me about 45 min to workout in the morning before work. Chris has designed workouts and nutrition plans catered to my schedule, body type as well as the goals I want to achieve. In about 4 months I’ve cut my body fat in half, from about 23% down to 11%, while adding muscle and strength. My clothes fit much better and for the first time in several years I feel good about my physique, have an increase in energy, and am motivated to keep going. I first came to AUM center almost two years ago. I was recently retired and was not in very good physical condition. I was unhappy with how I was managing my exercise and nuturition and knew I needed some help. My wife and I both decided to see Chris as a team.

I had always worked out but it wasn't until I met a true caring professional like Chris that I realized how much I didn't know. Chris got us focussed on building our core strength and eating in a way that help us build lean muscle and burn fat. Chris has a great way of explaining the mechanics of the exercises and adapting them to fit your capabilities. Through encouragement and humor he pushes you to do more and challenge yourself. We set goals and celebrate successes together as a team. I alwayus feel good and tired when I leave a training session.

As far as results, over the time we have worked together I have lost 15 lbs, dropped my AIc blood sugar reading from 6.4 to 5.7 and dropped my cholestrerol from over 200 to 145. Very pleased with the progress but still more to go.

I initially came to the Aum Center six months ago to get medical advice for my hypothyroid, then I decided to see what Aum Training Center was all about. I was currently seeing a trainer on a weekly basis at one of the best gyms in Boston and was not completely 100% about how things were going. My first session with Chris- I was sold. He did all these tests-- body fat, etc, etc. We looked at my stats and made some serious goals. Our sessions are tough. He pushes me like no other trainer has pushed me. He gets me in the zone, and I'm able to do things that surprise me every session. What I like most about Chris is how passionate he is about his clients' success. He gets just as excited as I do! It's awesome. This type of support just makes me want to work harder. I have lost inches& pounds. My body fat % has gone down like crazy!! When we're not working out together, I have a super detailed training plan that I follow for weight training and cardio. Every month he switches it up based on our goals. He's also created a custom nutrition plan for me. I've made major changes to my diet, and I've never felt better. And this is just from just six months together- two of which I was away for the summer! I'm so happy I decided to try Aum Training. I can't wait to see where I am in six more months!! I came to Chris at Aum Training center because despite riding my bicycle daily, I found I was losing some balance. We are, slowly, rebuilding my core strength with a range of exercises and I am seeing an increase in my balance, measurable in actions like how long can I maintain balance on one foot. A nice side effect of this is that several people have observed I've lost weight. The Aum studio is great. Comfortable, nice music, light filled, and Chris' instruction os great. I had hit my mid 40’s, was coming off an injury, work a busy desk-based job, have kids with lots of activities, had a bad diet, and rarely had time to work out when I started at Aum Training Center last spring. I barely made it through the first class, but since Chris liked to talk about the NBA, I came back for another session. And I was so glad that I did. Slowly but surely, he helped me turn it around. At every session, Chris treats me like I am most important client. He designs and manages core workouts that are at my level. He also regularly highlights diet and other health issues. Chris and Nick have a program that was exactly what I was looking for. For a few years, as I've gotten into bad shape while sitting behind a desk for many hours a day. I've been trying to find an exercise and diet regimen that'd be ideal for long term health and weight loss. I've tried other trainers and programs from apps/magazines and all seemed either too hardcore, or not strenuous enough. These guys push me exactly the right amount- I get a great workout every time but never feel like I'm about to keel over at the end.

On top of that they keep close track of diet. There's no formal program around it but they'll monitor food intake via an app and provide lots of specific recommendations. There's nothing magical about it but which I find makes meal planning a bit easier and more structured with their tips.

We go twice a week, listen to some awesome bhangra/bollywood tunes and push our limits every time. Chris has this energy that is super contagious. I have no reservations in recommending the Aum Training Center, and specifically Coach Chris Carreiro, to the Google community. I am an avid distance runner, but over the years, I kept injuring my hips, knees and feet while training for races. After spraining my plantar fascia last summer, I thought that my body wasn’t able to handle the distance running. I’m so thankful that I was referred to the Aum Training Center before I gave up on running because training with Chris has completely changed my running experience. I’m happy to report that after five months of training with Chris, I’m about to run another marathon and I’m injury-free!

The key to Aum Training Center’s strategy is a holistic approach to achieving a healthy lifestyle through nutrition and whole body strengthening. I’ve never felt healthier than I do now as a result of working with the Aum Training Center. I’ve used prerecorded cardio and strengthening classes at home in the past out of convenience. Chris met with me and we discussed my goals back at the end of the August. Chris made suggestions relative to changing my diet (i.e. - eating more and more frequently) and we committed to start working out together once a week starting in September with me being responsible for two workouts a week on my own that he designed and then two cardio days. Chris is knowledgable, patient, encouraging, and most of all, listens.
