Nick Bolio is the best trainer you will ever find. As his wife, I can attest to this first hand. When he isn’t in his studio with his clients which is all day, every day- he is home doing hours of research/staying up to date with the science so that his clients will get optimal results. Even on his “off time” he is emailing his clients research studies, completing new workouts, writing newsletters each week, etc. To say my husband is dedicated to his job and his clients is certainly an understatement. Nick is the most present, engaged, dedicated trainer I've ever worked with and I used to live in LA, which is the mecca of personal training. The best evidence is that I'm still with him after 2 years and I'm more consistent and committed then when I started. I had never stuck with the same trainer for more than 4-6 months before, but Nick's programs are evidence-based and sustainable, which includes time for recovery and not over-training. He also records everything for you so you can always check your progress over months and years. It's also fun to train with someone who loves what they do. This past year I've doubled my max reps in chin ups and added over 100 lbs to my deadlift, without any injuries. 3 year Update in Jan 2025: I've been working with Nick for a little over 3 years now and going strong. 3 years ago I had never done serious strength training despite playing sports growing up. I've improved my form, my strength, increased my protein intake and reduced body fat. This is the most consistent I have trained in my life and it's due to Nick's incredible consistency, positivity and how much he enjoys his work. I know he has a long waitlist including people from many miles away, so I feel lucky I got in early before he became so popular!

Really excited about this new way to achieve more of my goals with Nick. He uploaded my program to a super simple app I can use while I travel. He even looked up the hotel gym pics and modified my workout to fit the equipment they have available. Then he switched me to the modified workout the week before I left town to make sure it worked for me and made some small adjustments. I just finished my 5th day with the app and didn’t miss a beat! Thank god each exercise also has a video attached so I don’t have to guess about form or set-up when I am unsure. Thank you Nick!!

Nick is phenomenal. He's THE best in our area (and beyond our area too). I moved to the Sudbury/Wayland area and was really struggling getting back into strength training and needed expertise, structure and accountability. I've trained with several coaches in my lifetime and I've yet to see a coach as professional and talented as Nick. He works hard for us and really goes above and beyond. The workouts are GREAT--appropriate for the stages we're in, creative and results driving. You can tell he not only knows his stuff but has such a growth mindset as he's always immersing himself in new education and certifications. I've been seeing Nick for just a few months and I can already see my strength and definition returning. If there's an injury or if I'm feeling overworked on a particular day, he always creates modifications to ensure we continue to grow but we stay safe. Lastly, Nick is just a great human. He's a great guy with an amazing work ethic and head on his shoulders. Ended up with a long term injury because Nick the coach didn't pay attention to my form. I have a background in high level sports and training so I wasn't a newb. Didn't make a regular time for us despite us repeatedly asking for one, even though he sold us packages that required regular workout schedules. Sessions weren't personalised. Several years ago Nick inspired me to get my personal training certification. While, I may be more knowledgeable about training, it's no replacement for my sessions with Nick which I never miss. He is a student of personal training and strength conditioning which is why he always comes up with innovative exercises or approaches that keep my muscles and mind challenged. Nick is 100% prepared with a plan for every one of our workouts and records all of our performance stats. He never ceases to impress me with his ability to recreate the workout on the fly should my body need it. B3 has improved my life. Nick Bolio agreed to take me on as a client as couple years ago and I’ve made phenomenal progress since then. I am in better shape than I was in high school/college. I had spent a small fortune on training but had not made satisfactory progress. I was 70. My old trainer was afraid of a program of workouts where I’d be constantly adding reps and adding weight to lifts to make me stronger and better conditioned to deal with real old age. I have trained with Nick Bolio for 6 years. He started training me after my Sophomore year of high school in 2015 when he worked at Boston Sports Club. My dad bought me 3 sessions with Nick as I hadn’t been able to make any time cuts as a member of my high school’s swim team, and I had never lifted. After training with Nick on a monthly basis that year, I made qualifying time cuts for both sectionals and states. A year later I was being recruited to Tufts University to join their mens division 3 swim team where I am now a rising senior.

While I ended up leaving the team around the time of Covid, and while Nick was fired along with all the other staff of Boston Sports Club due to Covid, I never stopped training with him. I have sent him videos of lifts to critique, and still have him write workouts for me on a monthly basis despite being packed with clients 6am-8pm most days. Just last year he approached me to code his website, which I did without hesitation. With our history, I now see Nick as more of a friend than a trainer. I have enjoyed every moment of my time working with him, and seeing him grow his own business in a pandemic has been inspiring. Nick is extraordinarily well read, and knowledgeable as a trainer and nutritionist. After a few months of training with nick i asked how long the average person should work with a trainer. He said ‘forever’ & I laughed saying something like ‘ya ok’. 6 years later I told him forever sounds about right.

I was not comfortable lifting before we met. He built on my strengths & introduced compounds movements. We lift every session. We build on every week. I trust he is working safely within my limits when pushing me through those hard sets. He adds hiit days when we need a change. We talk nutrition always. We each do our part... My goal is to be strong. His goal is to get me there safely.
