Namaste Jill,

It was truly a blissful session!

The shlokas were recited with deep devotion.

The gong portion of the journey still reverberates within.

The chanting of Goddess Lakshmi mantras pierced through the everyday din.

Grateful for the experience.

Great class by a great teacher. Alexa is awesome. Cues are easy to follow and the flows change relatively often, which for myself, keeps it fresh. I dont always make a gratitude list, but when i do, balance and its instructors often make that list!!

I loved this studio!! It's beautiful and conveniently located in the center of town.

I was visiting from out of town and did a drop in vinyasa flow class with Stephanie. She was amazing! Honestly, one of the best vinyasa flow classes I've taken and I taught yoga for 8 years. She was down to earth, descriptive, and encouraged people to modify as they needed. Great lowkey music that didnt overpower the class. I loved the lemongrass scented towels they passed around at the end of class. Wish I could be a regular!

I’ve been going to Balance for 12 years and it has been my home for yoga and barre. I love the beautiful space, the teachers, the like-minded people, and the calm and welcoming energy. It has been such a foundation for me in every way.

I took a Vinyasa Flow class today. The yoga instructor, Sue, welcomed every human who walked into the studio with respect and a smile and was genuinely interested in new faces and names while greeting her regulars, and there are many! She is attentive, engaging, and thoughtful. While some teachers never leave their posts at the front of the class at other studios, Sue models the poses but is also constantly observing and correcting in an empathetic and light hearted tone. Her knowledge of poses and how to get you there, as well as the cues and reminders of breath, are all a 12! If you have any physical issues she invites you to try modifications. I like the pace...it allows me to focus on the form and breathing. The studio has amazing boutique with very chic clothes and gift items too!

Every teacher has something unique and special to offer. The consistently excellent level of instruction has really blow my mind…and the sense of community and supportiveness that I’ve found here is something I really appreciate. I have not felt so at home and welcome since my other favorite yoga studio, ShreeYoga, in Taos, New Mexico closed during the pandemic. A great yoga class is a wonderful thing to find, but a great community to practice in and be a part of is truly something special. Thanks for being there Balance ❀️πŸ₯°πŸ™

I've just returned to yoga after five years, so I'm a bit tight and not flexible - but after 6 classes in two weeks at Balance Studio, I'm invigorated and really feeling the flow again. The teachers are excellent, understand flow, keep the classes enjoyable, encourage us to find our own edge and make us feel so appreciated.
This studio is one of my happy places - in addition to the beach of course.

Balance is fantastic! The classes are great, the community is welcoming no matter what stage of fitness you have, and the teachers are up-lifting. I have particularly enjoyed learning from Crystal, Kellie and Katelyn.

I signed up for the monthly unlimited membership, which is a bargain for all the classes I take. Lastly, the scheduling software is easy to use and makes planning ahead fun. I highly recommend to anyone wanting to be inspired and encouraged to move again! Thank you!

The Friday 6:00am Method class with Katelyn is something special, you come in as an individual, focused on you and your space, then, during the course of the class (while she is kicking your butt) Katelyn brings you together collectively as one. The beauty of it, is that you don’t realize this transformation, this sense of belonging until the class is over and you appreciate what a great community, she and all the teachers at Balance have created.

I absolutely love Balance studio. I was looking for a place for many years and I have been so happy with the variety of classes, the schedule is great for working people and those who are able to take class mid day, the teachers are all great and supportive and I love the full moon circles (not something I typically would be into but honestly it’s become my favorite monthly ritual). The studio had a great balance of traditional yoga and modern yoga and all instructors are highly knowledgeable. I cannot say enough great things. Highly recommend!

Balance studio in Cohasset is a great place to practice Yoga. Their dedication to the practice of yoga as a means of promoting physical health and mental well being is truly effective. The teachers are experienced and compassionate, creating a supportive environment for practitioners of all levels. The studio itself is clean, spacious, and peaceful, making it the perfect place practice and workout. Anyone who seeks to improve their physical and mental health through yoga will find no better place to do so than this wonderful studio.

I am from out of town and wanted to take a Pilates class. I found Balance Studio on line and a referral from my sister who lives in Norwell. The studio is beautiful! The room in which the class was held was nice too. I had called ahead to sign up for the class and spoke to a woman who was welcoming. I arrived at the studio about 15 minutes in advance to be prepared for a liability form and to cover any injuries I might have. There was no mention. This was and "advanced" Pilates class. I was welcomed by the instructor (Shannon) but quickly asked if I had taken Pilates before, yes I replied. I was asked again if I had taken a lot of Pilates cause she was going to do some "different" moves. Yes I replied again. She never asked me if had any injuries, where I was from, and "welcome to her class". The class was good - not any "unusual" movements that I had not done before. Not sure if she was surprised that I had quite a bit of experience, but she did comment to me in the class if I was "having fun". Yes! It was what I needed after the Holiday. There were no corrections made, but that was ok. The class ended right on time. They definitely have a tight schedule. She collected our workout balls, spoke to a couple of other women who were regulars, and was out the door. She did not take even a minute to ask me how I liked her class or a "thank you for coming to our studio". I gathered my things and left. When I went by the front desk to return my mat, there was not a mention of "how did you like the class" or a "thanks for coming". If I didn't say thank you to them and have a nice day when I was leaving they would have said nothing to me. I grew up here, so I chalk it up to "that's MA for you"!

Safe, sweet sanctuary; these are the words that come to mind when I think about Balance Studio.
When I first started attending classes (more than 10 years ago…yikes!), I was drawn in by the clean, fresh, sunlit studio and the welcoming, non-judgemental attitude of the instructors and staff. I tried a variety of classes and enjoyed them all.
Now, I am full-in! Last week I enjoyed a Pilates mat class, paddleboard yoga, a yoga flow class, Pilates reformer small-group instruction, and a barre class! I am always refreshed and ready to head β€œback to the real world” as I leave my Cohasset sanctuary.

I love Balance Studio! The variety of classes and the quality of instructors keep me coming back time and again. I appreciate their attention to detail, professionalism and all of the little things they do like cool lavender scented towels at the end of a hot class.

I joined Balance Studio, taking a single yoga class, over 6 years ago. Now, I am taking classes 5-6 days a week. I’ve expanded my yoga practice with barre, pilates and the newly offered extreme class. The classes are terrific and the instructors are the best. I never felt stronger and more in tune with what my body needs.

The teachers challenge me and encourage me to keep improving. Recently I have also discovered their Yin Yoga classes for deep stretching – a great addition to my fitness routine. I've been practicing at balance for about two years. I started with barre and have since picked up yoga. I love the classes, there are a range of levels so that I am constantly being challenged and the class curriculum is always changing so that things are kept interesting. The teachers are wonderful and as well and always make the effort to get to know their new students. Great facility and awesome people!

I began going to Balance Studio in 2010 when injuries from an automobile accident prohibited me from the fitness regime (running, cycling and weight training) I had been following since graduating college. I started with yoga, added barre and recently embarked on pilates. The knowledgeable and challenging teachers at Balance Studio helped me recover from my injuries. I have returned to the racing and weight training I always enjoyed - and my yoga practice is stronger than ever!
