The instructors here at Barry's Chestnut Hill are unbelievably encouraging. They strike the perfect balance between pushing you to your limits and making you feel supported every step of the way. Whether you’re a regular or walking in for your first class, they hype you up, help you with form, and keep you going when you think you’ve got nothing left. Their energy fills the room and makes the Red Room feel like a team effort rather than a solo battle.
If you’re looking for a place that challenges you while still making you feel welcomed and inspired, I highly recommend Barry’s Chestnut Hill, their smoothies are great too!

DO NOT order smoothies from this place. You’ve been warned. I placed an order on UberEats for an smoothie, called the place to ensure it would be sealed properly before being handed to the driver and they said yes. The order comes to my door with a tiny sticker on top that had been tampered and opened. I called them and they were super snarky about it and didn’t care. Seems like they even might have done it on purpose. Beware of this place

Alyssa is an incredible trainer - one of my favorites!
She motivates and encourages the class, but is understanding of individuals with limitations. Her upbeat and positive personality is contagious. I will miss her classes in Chestnut Hill, but wish her the very best in NYC!

Kiley is an excellent instructor! She is able to teach both the treadmill people and the floor participants at that same time without missing a beat! It is very challenging to do that, and she does it seamlessly! Her energy and music choices are very motivating, and I always enjoy taking her classes when my work schedule allows.

Came in with a friend for the 1st time and Megan was Amazing. Her coordination between the groups lifting weight and the group doing cardio was simply a breath of fresh air. All though the workout kicked my butt, I felt she did a good job making the workout not overwhelming especially for a first timer like me. Great Job Megan!!

Tommy S. has amazing energy! He totally kicked my ass - I was exhausted and slowing down and when I saw him jumping around and getting people excited - it was a great motivator. He was regularyly coaching some new folks on what to do and how to scale and helping coach some vets on proper form.
Fantastic music - found myself working out to the beat.
Apple watch reported 700 calories burned! Definitely going back to his class - it was fantastic.

The front desk staffs and instructor Meg made me feel very welcomed. Meg brought such a positive energy to the class, and her instructions were clear and easy to follow. She kindly taught me how to squat too. Thank you! The place is clean too

Absolutely terrific workouts through and through. I HIGHLY recommend you use the disposable ear plugs they offer at the front desk if you care about your hearing. The music is loud enough to damage your hearing for how long the classes are.

Barry's really is the best workout - at least that I've ever tried. It's fun, challenging, motivating and you leave full of endorphins. Not to mention how it changes your body: I'm definitely stronger and faster because of it.
And the Chestnut Hill location is fantastic! The people are great - really friendly and welcoming. The trainers will kick your butt, but in the nicest way possible. :) And the facilities are clean and beautiful. They did such a nice job with the space. From the first 'hi' to your post-workout protein shake, it's a great experience. You'll be hooked. But you'll be better off for it. ;)
