Great place to work out great staff in every position it's a comfortable place to work out with like-minded people. We all come in to work on improving ourselves mind body and soul. But there is one thing that troubles me constantly the political news station that you choose to play In the gym is very polarizing I don't think it has anyplace here. I come in for 2 hours a day 4-5 times a week to take a little time to escape the chaos of the world (Washington dc). I know I am only one voice in a crowd of many but if you could kindly select a program that doesn't constantly suggest the world is on fire and I'm the only one that can save you I would be eternal great full. Working out here at best fitness was the most rewarding experience for me the last year. I’ve worked with the same trainer Leroy since last October, not only has he become my trainer and mentor, but has become a friend and family. I recommend this Gym to any one, especially new comers (new to the gym) it’s a great environment, no judging, and any one will help you if you ask and need advice!!!! The environment is so diverse, of all body shapes, skills, professions, and so much more in depth. The staff makes amazing shakes, and gives a one in a million experience. If you stick to a plan, you will reach your ultimate goals.

Update 2/2025 I’ve been coming to this gym for over 3 years now. The friendships I’ve built with the entire gym community and staff has been something that will be apart of my heart the rest of my life. My life has changed entirely coming here, I will forever keep my membership at Best Fitness. I tried a couple other gyms to change it up; however this place has my heart. I’ve grown exponentially here and I love this place. It’s better to go earlier on in the day; 5pm- 730 is the BUSY BUSY TIME! Most people are just getting out of work and kids are out of school. Hit this spot if you can mid or early day! It’s a huge gym, but one of the most popular around. I describe it like a warehouse!

I have really enjoyed coming to Best Fitness. The gym is very clean, unusually clean compared to every other gym I've tried. I think that seeing how hard the staff works to keep it clean encourages other members to help keep it clean, a positive feedback loop of sorts. For me, cleanliness is my biggest priority for a gym, and they blow it out of the water.

Also, there is so much room. Very open, the machines are well spaced and I never feel like I'm on top of anybody. Obviously it gets busy during peak times (per the 1 star reviewers that are confused why the gym is busy when everybody gets out of work, as if every gym isn't like that), but if you can keep your workouts to early mornings or afternoons, you hardly ever have to wait for things to open up. They have a wide variety of equipment that's kept in great shape.

Overall, I have had nothing but positive experiences in this gym. If you are in the area or are disappointed by your current gym, it is definitely worth giving Best Fitness a look. I think it is a very competitive price for the reasons I outlined above, and I have no intention of switching any time soon.

Trying to cancel with this gym is nearly impossible, so I hope that anyone who is signing up seriously considers it unless you plan to be there for the rest of your natural life. I cancelled in February, in person, with a manager at their desk. My husband cancelled a few months later, not only did they charge him two months, and the renewal fee, and forced him to drive 3 hours to go in person to cancel (again) because NO ONE picks up the phone. We thought we were finished.. AND YET weeks after he went in person to cancel for the nth time I received an email that they want me to pay $122...3 months after I cancelled. Its outrageous, they will try to squeeze every last penny out of you even after you paid on time every month of your active membership AND personal training. THINK TWICE BEFORE SIGNING UP!!

Best Fitness is a decent gym for what you pay for. Decent selection of equipment, (if you can even get on it during peak hours). The sauna is nice, and the employees up front are usually helpful. A few critiques I have is the excess volume of the music. I feel it’s unnecessarily loud and even seeps through noice cancelling headphones. When I say loud, it’s literally the loudest music in any gym I’ve been to. It is a busy gym, so keep that in mind. I really wish they had neck training gear as well. The price is cheap for a week pass and regular membership. Overall, if you are near it, it’s ok gym for any East Springfield lifters.

One of the worst gyms I’ve been to in regards to their contract and billing. The gym is completely over priced and they charge you $30 a month and you can’t even bring a friend for free, they’ll charge that person $15 every time they want to come. Then there’s the “annual” fee that’s pointless and just another way for them to take even more money out of your pocket. I joined a gym that has more amenities like a pool and a hot tub and an aromatic therapy room and they charge $19.99 a month and there is no annual fee. Save yourself a headache and get a membership somewhere else. These big commercial gyms are just money laundering schemes that run out the business of small gyms.

Watch out with this gym’s billing. They conveniently never have a cancellation manager on deck, so the best they can do is put a note in the system. The note, though, never goes through so they will bill you at least one extra cycle of personal trainings nobody is going to ever use.
