I was very disappointed with my experience here. I was interested in joining Vital Core (separate studio but located inside the gym) and they offered a discount for both so I tried it out. In order to sign up for the gym they make you sign up for four fitness consultations with one of their trainers and make YOU pay for it ($90). Even if you're not interested in this service, they require you to do it/pay for it in order to join. This is in addition to the monthly fee and the yearly fee they tack on. I decided to cancel my membership after a month or so and it was SUCH a hassle. I called a few times and continuously emailed with one of the trainers. I would ask what days/times are best for me to stop by and I wouldn't here back for days. Eventually everything was canceled but they do not make it easy. They even offered me a "special discount package" to keep me enrolled.... really? I'm giving two stars because the gym wasn't too busy when I would go. The showers could definitely be nicer and cleaner for the price /fees associated with the gym and Vital Core.
Edit Feb 2020. Updating my review to 1 star. I received an email from them saying I owed them payment for the fitness consultations from Oct 2019 ($90) that I was told I would be refunded for. I have emails outlining all of these conversations and have not been a member since Nov 2019. This place is a mess! Planet Fitness has their stuff together more than BodyWorks.

It's rebranded and now called Bodyworks. I love this place. I've tried a few different women only gyms and this one is very chill, clean, the staff is knowledgeable and kind. I saw June A. for personal training sessions and she's fabulous. She also teaches vital courses there. Highly recommend

Great classes and instructors! If youβre looking to use the freeweights after 5pm on Mondayβs or Tuesdayβs youβll be hard pressed to find space to go through your routine without being interrupted by a personal training session as the group classes use 3/4 of the floor space from 5:30-7 these days. Otherwise a quick workout is easy and accessible!

I really like this gym, all the staff are very attentive. It has a place to take care our kids, but It's just in the mornings ( until 11:30 am). The babysitters are great. It's a Clean place, new equipments and great professionals for group and personal classes. I always tell my friends.

Morning daycare is what got me to join. The group classes is why I keep going. Being all women is nice, but wasnt a requirement.

I started at Pumps when they first opened up in Woburn and due to certain happenings I had to leave after being there for a year.
Well I finally came back. I took a little over a year off and BOY am I glad I'm back. Now, mind you in the interim of the year of not being at Pumps, I went to two others gyms, and yes that's all they are "a gym" a very large room filled with machines and people that don't try to get to know your or care who you are. They are nothing like the staff at Pumps.
Pumps is the only place that invites you to want to get in shape and healthy, not just work out. The staff is the best that I have ever experienced. From the first group when Pumps first opened, to the current staff. I think Sharon is a very strong example of how to run a very successful staff, of how to always acknowledge you when you walk into the building, to helping someone who is not too sure of herself and making sure that they encourage you.
Thank you Pumps and all the staff for all that you give me and for welcoming me back from the minute I walked in the door after a little over a year. It's amazing how they did not forget who I was and were I want to be in my life, "healthy".

When I signed up at Pumps I was very excited to workout there. Everyone was so nice and kind to me in the beginning. That changed shortly after they took my money. They robbed me blind. I had to quit due to a leg injury and had a doctors note as proof. They also did NOT tell me the nutritionist costs you $70 and they count it as a personal training session so beware of that. I got charged $29.99 for membership dues since I quit 2 days after they charged me they would not refund me. So they made me pay for a whole month I couldn't use because of my injury. I understand their are rules and regulations but I feel as though they could have at least try to work with me. It is sad because I really loved the working out but they misinformed me that having a trainer would be great for me, talked me up to a big package, told me the trainer had a lot of experience with people in my condition (I have spina bifida) Now I am hurt, back in PT and out almost $1,000 for a month of a gym membership, training and fees. :( I called to discuss my issues with the owner Sharon, but she does not return my calls. My advice read all the reviews everywhere ( yelp, fb, BBB) on this place I wish I did I would never have signed up.
