As a health care professional and veteran of 50 marathons/nearly 50 years of intense exercise, I can really appreciate Dr. Beate's knowledge of the human body. (She can't represent herself as a doctor here, but I can!)
I joined the first women''s gym in Boston in 1981, then did group exercise weightlifting classes for 40 years with Healthworks and Evolve Fitness in Cambridge, and I have never experienced the rapid improvement in my muscle tone that I've had with Beate.
I always wondered why people would spend the money on a personal trainer; now I know. I can see and feel my physical fitness improve noticeably from one week to the next.
Based on her expert knowledge of anatomy and physiology, Beate can point out the smallest adjustment to a stance that makes a huge difference in how I hold myself; she can find the exact most specific exercise to tone a particular muscle. My results include a change in my posture (no more computer slouch!) which in turn has increased my self-confidence and strength in how I present myself in life.
As we get older (I'm now in my 70s), it becomes increasingly important to strengthen ourselves to prevent falls, as a single fall could cause a devastating injury and even force a change in our lifestyle. As a health care professional working with elders, I especially recommend that we all take care of our physical self-sufficiency as we get older. Perhaps that's why Beate has attracted so many elderly clients, as well as of course the young'uns looking buff!

I have been training with Beate at Bone and Tone by Beets for three months and can say that Beate Mannstadt is the best personal trainer that you can sign on with!
I went in with some apprehension, not knowing what to expect. I’m 60+ and had never been to a gym, done weight training… or thought that I needed it. But I had been reading how important weight training is as ones gets older and my wife had been joking about how weak my core strength was, compared to hers!
So I signed on with Beate and have never looked back. She carefully plans every one hour session with a mix of leg, core and arm exercises, which all contribute to my long-term goal of building muscle, bone density and core strength. She makes the one hour sessions fun and well paced (but not easy - that’s the whole point!) I have seen measurable gains in strength, balance and form, compared to my initial assessment. My wife now respects my core strength!

Beate is an incredible trainer. She is knowledgeable, patient, and able to explain the value of the training for long term bone and muscle health which is increasingly important as we age. She has really motivated me and has gone above and beyond. She also makes the sessions fun which makes me want to come back for more as I have already become stronger and more flexible in a short period of time. I highly recommend Beate.
