Back Bay Yoga Union is the new incarnation of the former Boston Yoga Union, formerly at 1112 Boylston Street.
Named Best of Boston by Boston Magazine.
From the poses, the philosophy & the practice; to the mystical, the playlist, the sweat AND the surrender: we genuinely love it all.
Our teachers first and foremost consider themselves students; and our collective experience shows us that regular practice of yoga is vital to physical health, emotional wellbeing, and spiritual connectedness.
In person, online or on your time! There is no time like now to begin! See you on your mats.

My new yoga studio! So happy to have found them. So far I have felt welcomed and really enjoyed the different classes and instructors. I switched from a different studio after having a bad experience there and I am so glad I did.

On an extended stay in Boston I joined Boston Yoga Union and took several classes. Each instructor was unique, well informed and welcoming.
Thank you BYU!

A tremendous and welcoming studio. As an out of town visitor both Nikki McMaster and Beth Fricke were so welcoming, professional and I could tell loved the classes they were teaching. I cannot recommend this yoga studio enough. I am so lucky to have found them and will visit anytime I’m in Boston. Thank you!

The place to be for yoga, community and to learn. I’ve been at this studio since they opened pre pandemic and cannot say enough about the staff. Overall very knowledgeable, kind and a vast array of offerings.

I spent a week in this beautiful studio and it was just great! The trainers are very professional and each one has their own individual style. I liked that very much. Each welcome and goodbye was also very friendly and the participants are approachable. I also think the location is great and felt very comfortable in both rooms. If I lived in Boston, this would definitely be my place to be. Thank you for the diverse yoga practice and the feel-good atmosphere.

Very pleased with my first visit and intend to join. Recently moved back from California and was worried about finding an authentic studio. I took 2 back to back classes; one flow and one restorative. The flow was great. The restorative was amazing. I write this in comparison to my studios in SoCal … which were Shefa in Venice and Bodhi Salt in Ventura. Both were amazing and have been sorely missed. Finding Yoga Union was a blessing! Staff were super sweet, kind and attentive. I am eager to try their live stream classes when I am out of town. And, I look forward to their advanced classes. I hope they will offer sound bath meditations in the future.🙏Overall I am very happy with my choice to try them. Cheers BB Yoga Union!

Open minded, caring individuals make this place different than the bro-centric workout places throughout Boston. It’s community first here and being kind is the norm. Love the space and the people. Thank you!

This studio made me fall in love with yoga. The amazing teachers with the combination of a strong community, flexible class schedule, and attention to each individual member made it the best yoga studio I’ve ever experienced. It’s truly amazing what they have built here.

I’ve been teaching yoga for the last 7 years and Amanda’s flow was simplistically incredible. Sequencing flowed smoothly for equally the beginner to the experienced. Flow featured a full body stretch and recovery for this weary traveler. Studio is clean, perfectly lit and precisely heated. If you are in town or just passing by, I highly recommend checking this space out. Namaste.

Literally one of the best yoga communities I have ever been a part of, everyone who works there is so special in their own way and teaches classes so different and in unison at the same time as well as their teacher training programs being amazing I wish I could’ve finished my 300 hour with BYU! The worst thing about moving back to California was leaving this community!

A studio with spirit, humor, fitness and wellbeing. Looking for a great yoga experience? Check out the Union, you won't be disappointed. Lead by Tim and his amazing approach to being seriously dedicated to the practice while bringing a level of humor and occasionally a bit of snark. Oh yeah, it is also a beautiful space filled with light and great energy.

Best studio in Boston (and possibly country?) Soothing ambience, large main studio so you never feel cramped, and most importantly, fantastic teachers. They offer a nice variety, but they all focus on a holistic experience and don’t treat it like strictly a workout class as you find in many other studios. Lots of classes at different times to cater to any schedule and very reasonably priced considering the prime location. Great community feel as well and their workshops and teacher training programs are wonderful additions to get deeper into your practice.

Trying to take up time on my business trip, I booked a class here and had no idea what to expect but leaving this place I was so happy. The instructor was amazing and so were the other staff. It took my mind off business for awhile and gave me time to relax.

There's no better yoga studio in all of Boston and probably beyond. From the physical space and classes to the teachers and community of students, it's such a special place. Tim and Emily put their heart and soul into Boston Yoga Union and you can feel it the moment you arrive. I can't say enough about how incredible it is.

I went last night for a pre-opening free class just to try it out and it was exceptional! The instructor (Emily) was approachable, kind and extremely helpful (I am not really an avid yoga person). The studio is warm and inviting - feels like a home. I ended up purchasing a card of 10 classes! Maybe I am a yoga person after all! Thank you Boston Yoga Union!
