I am a runner in my 40’s training for my first marathon. After a few months of training, I developed pain in my Achilles tendon . I couldn’t walk without limping let alone run. This was about 9 weeks before the NYC marathon. I scheduled an appointment with Kevin Coughlin at Champion and he was able to see me within a few days. Kevin was able to accurately diagnose the problem as Achilles tendinopathy and that same visit educated me about the condition, set expectations, and started a treatment plan. As a marathon runner, himself, I felt he understood my goals and his clinical knowledge and manner were excellent. He taught me how to improve my tendon strength and resiliency to accommodate my goals, improve calf and foot strength, and improve my running mechanics to prevent future problems. I was able to return to running about 6 weeks later in time to finish my training block and complete the marathon in a respectable time. As I write this the day after the marathon, the only thing that doesn’t hurt is my Achilles. I’m very grateful for his help and highly recommend Kevin Coughlin to any runners out there!

I met with Dan Pope and I am beyond impressed with the level of care and expertise he provided. From the moment I walked in, Dan made me feel comfortable and well-cared for.
His extensive knowledge and rehabilitation techniques shows in every aspect of his practice. He took the time to thoroughly assess my condition and explained the possible treatment options . His ability to pinpoint the root cause of my pain and tailor a personalized therapy regimen was remarkable. Being told I have partial frozen shoulder and spinning my wheels has been so frustrating. Then meeting Dan and seeing all the things I CAN do and understanding forcing the shoulder can also have negative consequences and how to enhance my strength while letting the shoulder “catch up” so to speak was what I needed.
I was so hopeful & motivated again leaving with a specific program balanced with mobility, shoulder specific, and strength training. I have hope & a real plan to get me back to my sport and life!!

Although I appreciate their services, I think there needs to be more focus on BFR for ACL recovery.

Kevin is the best! After suffering a torn TFL muscle while training for the Boston Marathon, I was devastated and unsure if I'd be able to run. However, thanks to Kevin, not only did I recover in time, but I also felt stronger and more confident than ever before.
What truly impressed me was Kevin's holistic approach to my recovery. He took the time to listen to my concerns and thoroughly evaluate my injury. Not only did he focus on developing a personalized strengthening and rehab program, but he also took the time to educate me on proper nutrition and hydration strategies for endurance running.
His expertise, professionalism, and genuine care for his patients make him an invaluable asset to any runner in need of physical therapy.

I want to express my gratitude to Kevin Coughlin, Mikaela Meyer, and Michael Beardon for their exceptional care and unwavering support during my physical therapy and fitness training at Champion PT and Performance. Their dedication and attention were critical in helping me complete the Boston Marathon, one of the world's oldest and most prestigious marathons, on April 15th, 2024, and earn my medal. Without their invaluable assistance, this achievement would not have been possible! On February 22nd, 2024, I had my intake consultation with Kevin, seeking a second opinion after receiving discouraging advice from two other physical therapy clinics. Unlike the other specialists who tried to convince me that it was too risky to run the marathon, Kevin calmly and confidently outlined my personalized cross-training and strength-building regimen, which set me up for small but steady weekly progress. He patiently taught me effective tips and tricks for recovering and performing without getting injured. Kevin introduced me to Mikaela and Mike, both physical therapy students and rising stars in the field. They were so enthusiastic about my upcoming race that they celebrated my every training win as their own. They helped me stay on track when I was fatigued, uplifted my spirits when things got tough, and encouraged me to believe in my athletic potential. Together with Kevin, they prepared me to cross confidently the starting line at Hopkinton and run a safe, powerful, and successful race.
Kevin, Mikaela, and Mike thank you for making me feel like a Champion!

This was nearly a 3-hour drive based on a recommendation from a friend. It was absolutely worth it and this facility did not disappoint. The people are friendly, outgoing, and extremely knowledgeable. Dan, Dave, and all the staff that supported my Daughter and I are fantastic. They broke us down based on our habits, based on science, based on lifestyle, and finally based on our personal goals. From there a routine was developed and I can't say enough about how helpful that is when you are used to doing things on your own. Highly recommended.

Champion was recommended to me by a sports doctor I’ve worked with in Chicago and I couldn’t have been happier with my experience. I received PT from Champion for a few months for both an ankle and a shoulder injury. My therapist, Kevin, was absolutely amazing. Incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, honest, and very enjoyable to work with. I could significantly see/feel the difference and healing with the care I received. I 100% recommended Champion to any and all types of people, especially athletes. Thank you Champion and especially Kevin!!

I've been coming to Champion for almost six months now; diagnosed with moderate arthritis in the knees it was, "find a good strength and conditioning program or face the prospect of knee replacement in the near future". Dewy got me going on a perfect program geared precisely for my goals. I've never felt stronger and my overall health and wellbeing has vastly improved (and I've dropped over 12lbs!) The entire staff is fantastic - knowledgable and always there to help guide you or offer improvement, and all with a friendly manner! The space and equipment are great too. After trying many area sports clubs over many years (some no longer in business) I have truly found THE place I want to be.

I started training at Champion three years ago and I am so glad that I did! As a US Masters swimmer in my 60's I needed injury prevention as much as to build athletic strength for competition. Champion delivered on both counts. I highly recommend Champion.

Champion is a great place to work out and receive top notch physical therapy. The team has fixed me up and kept me moving. The personalized training has absolutely gotten me ready for college baseball, and I actually look forward to heading to the gym each day. The staff is full of knowledgeable experts in their field and most importantly, they make it fun.

This review is based on working with Dave Tilley; however, my impression is that everyone else there is also excellent.
Before going to Champion for PT, my knee was bothering me a lot -- it always hurt a little, and even a short (3 mile, mostly flat) hike could be excruciating.
Nothing I'd tried (including another PT) had helped much.
After a couple months of working with Dave, I'm feeling a lot better, and the real test is that I was able to do a pretty big multi-day hiking trip this weekend. I'm very happy with this outcome. Before working with Dave, something like that would have been completely out of the question for me.
I'm clearly not done yet (still some pain, especially ascending/descending 3500ft in one day!) so I'm going to continue working with Dave to get even better.
A few things to note about the approach:
1. They don't take insurance. Maybe you can get your insurance to pay, maybe not. (Mine paid a little.) But either way it's worth it.
2. Dave is not too interested in spending a lot of time with me; instead relying on me to do workouts myself at my gym. This keeps the cost down. I haven't done the math but it might be less than the copays would be at a PT that did take my insurance.
3. Dave is extremely responsive to email. This helps me get questions answered and problems solved even when I'm not seeing him every week.

Went here for a full evaluation after numerous speculative opinions on dd right throwing shoulder. After lots of tests and measurements they formulated a plan of action to help heal daughter shldr. I would highly recommend this PT place. They spend plenty of time analyzing and figuring out the best POA for injuries. Then they followed up acouple weeks later.
Very impressed.

I first went to champion when I got injured my junior year of high school. Not only did they get me back on the field and healthy, but have kept me healthy in the 4 years ever since. I can’t give enough praise to Mike and the rest of champion for all that they do. Best in the business!

I joined the group exercise with this gym a year ago or longer. I understood the term that you had to share trainer with others but a lot of time I experienced that all trainers focus on one client especially female client that made me so upset and stop going to the gym. I emailed my frustration to the gym. No one replies no apology, so no more.

I have trust issues when it comes to coaching and health concerns with my body as I make a living as a sports professional. Team Champion has alleviated all of my concerns with their caring team, I only make sure I turn up, listen and give my best and the results take care of themselves. 6 weeks in and I'm stronger than ever.

Mike and the staff at Champion are the best. I am a licensed Physical Therapist assistant, and I would never go anywhere else. Knowing that I can have a truly expert opinion at my fingers tips means the world to me. In a traditional PT setting, I would waste hours of time and hundreds of dollars receiving 'treatments' that would most likely never fix the problem. The traditional PT setting just doesn’t allow for the detail that recovery often needs. I know because I have done it, and I have tried it. Mike is at the top of his field and is the simply the best. He understands his profession for the art that it really is. Thanks, Champion!!

I have been participating in bootcamp since November 2014 and I love it! The class is challenging, the instructors are knowledgeable, and the other participants are supportive. I have started and quit many other programs but something has kept me engaged here for over eight months. While my particular class is mainly women, when I have worked out with men at Champion there is no sexism that is sometimes present in a gym. Everyone is treated the same and the expectations are high on what you should be able to do, regardless of your gender, size, age, etc. I am incredibly pleased to have built so much muscle and strength. I feel great!

I've worked with both Mike and Lenny (and Dennis), and they are all excellent. I've been rehabbing my knee after my second knee surgery and my recovery had been amazing. I've made progress on things I haven't had since my first surgery 5 years ago. They make themselves available to you whenever you need advice and are prompt and thoughtful with feedback. Great spot for physical therapy!

After having multiple shoulder surgeries and going through over a year of physical therapy with many different physical therapists I made the decision to fly up to Boston to see the best. Mike and Lenny really take their time to evaluate you and get to the bottom of the issue. You can really tell they genuinely care and want to return their patients/athletes to 100%. Within just a few days of following the rehab plan of what exercises and stretches to do and cutting out the ones I had been doing but didn't need I feel remarkably better. The only regret I have is not getting in to see them sooner!

Champion PT+P is awesome. Mike and Lenny are both great and know exactly what they are doing. Knowing that they both have so much experience ensures me that I am in great hands. It is especially cool knowing that Mike has worked with the Red Sox in the past, so that really makes me feel more comfortable in their hands. I recently had Tommy John surgery and these guys were recommended to me. Now I am recommending them myself just 4 weeks later. I have no doubt that with their help I will make a full recovery and come back even better than I was before.

Recently had Tommy John surgery and I wouldn't do my rehab any other place. The staff exceeds the experience and knowledge that the typical physical therapist has. I chose to go to Champion because I truly trust everything that they do and believe that no other place could better prepare me to get back on the field.
