Chequessett Club can truly be defined as the wedding venue gem of the Cape. Tucked away, laid back, gorgeous views, and not nearly as over-priced as some of the other Cape options. Our guests have complimented the venue over and over. Tracy and her staff were amazing to work with. They truly are wedding pros and somehow ran the behind the scenes so smoothly that if anything did go wrong we would've had no idea. Tracy was a pleasure to work with and gave us excellent recommendations for vendors. She also seemed genuinely excited for us and our big day, which made it all the more special. We are so glad that we stumbled upon Chequessett and would highly recommend to any couple looking for that Cape Cod wedding experience without the hefty price tag.

I have played golf here for years and understand the drainage issues on the course. Memorial day weekend we called pro shop to make a tee time(with two children), checked in, paid full price...and THEN we were told that three holes were closed and there was a 40 minute backup on the first tee. The group ahead of us was 4 carts, each with a player and a ride along, no ranger, and 1/3 of the course was closed. The convenience of getting tee times here and its close proximity to our house has run its course and we will be playing in Truro and Chatham from now on.

We had the most beautiful wedding here. However, I am giving three stars because coordination with the venue was horrendous and they misrepresented a golfing tournament that was happening the same day. We had about 15 cars for the entire wedding, and they couldn't find parking before the ceremony because drunk golfers, who’s tournament ran longer than promised to us, were wandering around the premises. They are extremely disorganized. The questionnaire requires that you create a layout for their tent and boathouse which was a stressful exercise. The process of selecting wines was also not straightforward or transparent. They will charge you $50 per bottle regardless of it normally being a $10 bottle or an $30 bottle. Also, be warned, that your open bar tab will be about 10k after gratuity. They say they count drinks (at $14 per drink) but we never saw the bartender counting. The bartender was also the RUDEST person I’ve ever encountered, and the drinks she made were not great. Every guest had a story about how outrageously mean she was. This is a gorgeous venue but I recommend that you be a seriously laid back couple willing to spend 60k to 80k and leave a lot up to chance.

So some people say I wish there was a rating lower than one star, all these reviews are multi years old. This course is a piece of crap. It's a joke and it's an embarrassment. The fact that they charge what they charge to play there is ridiculous. It's literally like playing on the moon. 50 bucks for a great rate on GolfNow, three of the nine holes are closed down. Nobody tell you this of course. One saving Grace, whoever does the greens is incredibly good. Cheers to you, bro, I don't know how you're still working there because you really know what you're doing.

Tracy at Chequessett is a dream to work with while planning a wedding. The day of, she is there ensuring that everything we wanted was in place. The getting ready suite for the bride is beautiful, the tent is right on the water, and the ceremony and cocktail hour spaces are perfect. Old Cape Cod vibes in the best way possible, and no other venue are you so close to the water. Loved!!

My husband and I had our wedding there in June. If you are looking for a laid back, beautiful beach setting for your wedding or event- this is it. Reven, the event coordinator was great! She was helpful and kind and her overall attitude calmed my nerves and made me so happy we chose this venue. Every single one of the staff members that were part of our day were professional and personable. Our entire wedding from start to finish was incredible. Thank you Chequessett!

We can’t say enough for Tia and the team at Chequessett. We planned our wedding for a solid 3 years due to covid. Tia was accessible by email and phone every step of the way to help us navigate our ever-changing plans. She was such a comfort throughout the planning process. After a seamless (though sad) postponement, we got to finally have our perfect day. Anyone who plans a wedding knows things go awry. That said, we didn’t have to worry day of. Tia worked with our wedding coordinator and we got to just relax and enjoy from the ceremony on the beach, through a charming cocktail hour and dinner, right through dancing. We also have to add that Chequessett was pet friendly! We got to have our ring-bearer dog with us the whole time! Pretty much anything we thought of to make our wedding special was met by enthusiasm and from Tia and her team. Chequessett made our dream day a reality and we’ll remember it forever! We would highly recommend this venue! Thank you all!

The view from the boat house at Chequessett is unbeatable. When I saw this I was worried about how easy they would be to work with, thinking that they might not care about their clients since they knew they had a great location. Luckily I was wrong - they were so fun and helpful through the whole planning process it was great. Since we were from out of town, they always worked with our schedule for on-site visits when were came to the Cape.

As we started to work out our beer, wine, and liquor selection Tia made suggestions for the liquors in our specialty drinks. She was even able to source whiskey from a distillery in Michigan close to our cottage! She was also very responsive in getting us lists of possible sparkling wines for our first toast so that we could taste them before making a final decision.

On the day of the wedding the staff were always available to assist. For our guests that have trouble walking they provided a golf cart to get them to the ceremony on the beach. They also had golf carts available to take guests from the reception in the boathouse to the bathroom in the clubhouse. I was initially concerned that the bathrooms were so far away, but everyone enjoyed the golf cart rides so it didn't matter to them that the bathrooms weren't in the boathouse.

The location of Chequessett may be the reason that you first visit, but it will be the staff that will make you glad that you booked your event with them. From start to finish they are outstanding to work with!
