Whether you come to classes at the gym, outdoors, or attend virtually through our online classes, our certified coaches will make sure that you get stronger safely. Every movement is scaleable to every ability level and our coaches are there to help you determine what works for your body and your goals.

Did the 6 week challenge offered by coach Kara and even with a crazy work schedule was able to meet and exceed my goal weight. The coaches are all great, the atmosphere is inviting, all in all would recommend!

I have been a member for over 10 years. I never plan on leaving. The work outs here are programmed to give you a thorough & varied workout, both cardiovascular & strength. You have a built in personal trainer that will help you modify every workout specific to your needs & ability. The space is open & beautiful with plenty of parking. But THE best part is the community. The people are from all walks of life, have vastly different athletic abilities but their common attribute is their supportiveness, positivity, & inclusiveness. It is a fun & happy place to work out. There are community events & challenges & get togethers outside the gym. It is more of a health focused community than a gym. I can not recommend it enough.

Let’s start with the fact that if you’re reading this review you are interested in taking a class at CFCA. The short answer is you absolutely should. I could tell you how you won’t find better caliber coaches anywhere else, or how you’ll build strength and endurance, or how you’ll feel more confidant than you’ve ever felt , or how no matter what age or ability you are there are always modifications to any workout to fit where you are that day. I could also tell you how you’ll gain a sense of community and friendships that you’d never think you’d find in a gym. I could tell you that whatever hobby you have - running, rowing, hiking, pottery, poetry, boating, catching live music- you’ll find someone, if not many people, to enjoy said hobby with. I could even tell you that nobody cares whether or not you can deadlift 400 pounds or 40, or if you never use a barbell for that matter. I could tell you all these things but the problem is if I did that than you’d have no reason to come check us out and clearly that’s what you’re hoping to do. You just need the nudge. Consider this your nudge. When I promise you this is a one size fits all kind of place I mean it- very differently than when your size small friend and size large friend get tricked into thinking the same shirt will be equally as comfortable on both of them- I’m the size large friend and let me tell you for sure no shirt should be a one size fits all. Like ever.
Come take the class and if I’m wrong about all of this the worst thing that happens is you get a good sweat for an hour. But I’m not wrong, you’ll see.

Community fitness has changed my life for the better in so many ways. Functional fitness is ony a part. I've made incredible friends who are supportive, motivating, and I hold near and dear. Not only am I stronger physically, but mentally as well. Im a better human overall for this community. Whitney and Jaime are wonderful people and have created an amazing women owned business.

I have been a member at CrossFit Cape Ann for about 3 years now. They have knowledgeable and friendly instructors who help people develop their strength and fitness at their own pace. They push us to improve, while being still mindful of preventing injury. Jon and Karen have built a wonderful community of members who support each other and welcome newcomers with enthusiasm and encouragement. And there is more to CFCA than a few hours at the box! Many members participate together in various events such as races, volunteer opportunities, fitness and dietary challenges, and frequent celebrations. CFCA also sponsors opportunities to give back to the Gloucester area in various ways, including a Saturday community workout session that is open to anyone for $5, with money going to a local charity. It's a fantastic experience and I'm glad to be part of it!

We had a blast training at CrossFit Cape Ann. Located only at 9 minutes from our rented house, we could not find any excuses but to show up and train.
Thx to the coach Jon for the nice programs. People of Gloucester, you are lucky to have this guy, and a crossfit center with climbing classes.

Love this place!! The coaches are knowledgable, the workouts really get you moving, and you will get fit. Plus, everything is scalable based on your ability, and we have so much fun in and outside of the gym!
