CrossFit TILT is Waltham's premier fitness facility. CrossFit TILT is the only gym in New England built from the ground up specifically for functional training. Complete with locker rooms, showers, air conditioning and a lounge, CrossFit TILT has all of the amenities you would want in a gym. With classes offered throughout the day, our class schedule allows you to workout before or after work, or during your lunch break. This review is long overdue. I couldn’t think of how to express my gratitude for this place without sounding like a complete cliche. I’ve always been into fitness- rec leagues, orange theory, barre and traditional gyms. I would go in- be on my phone til my workout started and then head out with a quick wave.
Tilt has broken me of that and made fitness a way to connect with people- not escape from them. It’s been a community for me when all my family is out of state and hours away.
There is something for everyone- the environment is supportive not competitive. Definitely give it a try!

I didn’t have prior experience with CrossFit type exercises when I started, but the coaches are absolutely amazing at teaching new movements and skills, providing helpful feedback, and helping you find options for scaling the workouts if you aren’t comfortable with/able to do a certain movement.

Steve, James, Sami, Max and the rest of the coaches made me feel incredibly welcomed back in November when I first started at CrossFit Tilt. I've been doing CrossFit for eight years TILT is my third CrossFit gym. I joined about a year ago and this place is just different! I learn something new every week and the skill review within the warm-up for the WOD's is unlike anything I have seen at other gyms. The coaching is second to none and couple that with the welcoming members and amazing facility and there you have it. Great staff and great workouts. This is only my second full time box experience and I have to say it sets the bar very high in everything. The programming, trainers, facility are all amazing. The rest of the members here couldn't be any more helpful or supportive. I find myself making more of an effort to get in for a workout the more time I spend there. Highly recommend it for any age or ability level, these guys will make sure you have a great time at the gym.

Cannot recommend this place enough!! As someone who had never done CrossFit, I was nervous and apprehensive, but now I’m hooked! Come, you won’t regret it!! I was initially apprehensive about the entire CrossFit cult-ure but my partner pushed me to go with him. I could tell I was wrong, Tilt has the family mentality that I love and needed. They work with everyone at their own pace, scaling workouts down or up based on the individual’s skill level and offer a variety of class times. Our coaches are amazing and it’s pretty cool to see the owner in the gym too! The facility is clean and the layout optimizes the space. I HIGHLY Recommend coming! **I now go more than my mate if that tells you anything

The staff at TILT endlessly finds ways to keep their members involved. When COVID started shut downs, they got virtual classes up and running quickly and with SO MANY class options; wod classes, endurance, mobility, weightlifting, yoga. Now that restrictions are relaxing, they are providing outside in-person classes and virtual classes, with memberships that align with members needs. They continue to keep their members accountable with their healthy lifestyles and produce so much virtual content that we are always entertained. This is an amazing group of people that always strive for the best for their members. I am proud to be part of their gym and highly recommend to everyone, young, old, and in-between.

Amazing Box with Amazing Coaches. This gym stands out among all the CrossFit boxes where I've taken classes--and I've worked out at a lot of CrossFit gyms. The coaches and coaching are terrific. I've been attending TILT since it has opened and how the team has handled COVID has been incredible. Quickly putting together zoom classes and now hosting workouts outside that are as much about exercising your mentals as much as your muscles. TILT is an elite gym. Not because you have to be an elite athlete to join... not at all, actually. It's perfect for athletes of all shapes, sizes and abilities, with a focus on long term health and fitness. It's elite because of the coaches, the members and the facility. After a few months here, I tried leaving to work out on my own but had to come back. The coaches are among the absolute best in countless ways, but especially in skill level, attentiveness, and friendliness. The programming tends to focus on high heart rate workouts and is consistently challenging. I'm not always happy about much but TILT is a strong exception. The membership is worth every penny.

Coach also provided a really great instructional on variations of the rope climbs that I can take back to my home box to gain more confidence in my ascents and descents on the rope.

Crossfit Tilt is AMAZING! Where do I start? The facility is like no other.... clean, organized, nice bathrooms and showers, all the equipment you’d ever need, but that’s just the beginning. Crossfilt Tilt changed my life! I just ran 2 miles with a 20 lb weight vest on for the first time in 30 years as an anniversary celebration of my membership here at Tilt. It's hard to believe that just 1 year ago I carried that extra 20 lbs on my body every day,.all day before I started at Tilt. My experience here has been AMAZING. Tilt has the most attentive, inspiring, caring coaches that work with you to find success no matter your age, competence, or level of fitness desired. The gym is immaculate and filled with every piece of equipment you would ever need. The workouts are always different, and I am always excited to hear what the next day will bring. Nothing but love for Crossfit TILT. The coaches are excellent, the community is supportive, the facility is modern/clean and the energy is always high (even at 5:15am!) I love the diversity in the classes there are all ages, all abilities, and all are being supported by each other. Need to scale or modify? Never a problem; the coaches are more than willing to find a workout that is specific to your needs. Broken ankle didn’t keep me from showing up, modifying the workouts for my capability and still getting in a great workout everyday. If you’re thinking about trying out TILT do not delay, this place will change your life for the better!

Tilt is hands down AMAZING!!! As an adaptive athlete I didn’t know what to expect when looking for a CrossFit gym, Max made the experience easy and fun! The fact that I have a physical disability and utilize crutches and a wheelchair never phased him he did his own research and even invested in adaptive equipment to make me more independent when working out! The time and thought he puts into modifications for the WOD for me while still making me feel part of the group is remarkable. All the coaches at Tilt have been so accommodating! I would recommend this gym to anyone especially an adaptive athlete!

In one word: perfect. I've been going to TILT in Waltham since July 2017 and this is by far the best crossfit gym I've ever been to and the staff is one of the nicest I've ever found. The facilities were built from the ground up to be a crossfit box and the equipment you find here is top quality, which makes every WOD smoother and better. The coaches make sure you do every movement correctly to avoid injuries, they guide you on the stretching and the warm up, as well as during the WOD, to ensure your success. Honestly, I've been to crossfit boxes in Boston, Salt lake City, Puerto Rico and Iceland; and the level of commitment, engagement and sense of community you get here has no comparison.
