I started coming to CFTC at the back end of July 2025 through a friend. CFTC has a great community and i have had nothing but support and motivation since i started from all the coaches and all the members. I have felt really welcomed in by the community. I would really recommend CFTC for any fitness level as the coaches will tailor each workout to suit you and get you a good workout in.
As a beginner to CrossFit and not really understanding the correct technique, the coaches will spend time going over the workouts each day to give you a better understanding of how to complete each movement. Also Coach Scott runs a Friday night Bar Bell Club that goes over Olympic lift technique that will help in the long run, which i started pretty much from day one. If you are a beginner like me i would also recommend taking the time for this class.

A little over a year ago, I walked through the doors of CFTC for a beginners class—nervous I’d be too out of shape for CrossFit, worried about making friends, and unsure how long I’d stick with it. Those fears disappeared almost instantly when two members greeted me with open arms, showed me around, helped me get set up for my first class, and introduced me to Coach Scott St Cyr.
What has happened since that first day is something I never could have imagined. Two things stand out the most about CFTC: the coaches and the community. Scott’s entire coaching team is highly trained, focused on helping you get the best workout possible without pushing you into unsafe territory. Scott preaches longevity, proper technique, and the fundamentals of living a healthy lifestyle—values that truly set this gym apart.
The second thing that makes CFTC so special is its community. From the warm welcome I received on day one to the countless members who have cheered me on through some of my toughest physical challenges, I’ve felt supported every step of the way. It’s been a full-circle experience to now cheer on new members as they reach their goals—including my 56-year-old dad!
In my first year at CFTC, I’ve lost 40 pounds, reached the best shape of my life, and gained more than just fitness—I’ve built lasting friendships and found mentors in Scott and his coaching team who inspire me on and off the gym floor.
I can’t recommend CFTC enough. Come try a beginners class—you might just change your life, like I did.

I can’t say enough about CFTC and Coach Scott. Coach runs this gym with more passion than I’ve seen anyone else run a business. He’s a grinder and pushes you to your limits without compromising form, technique and promotes longevity and healthy lifestyle. I’ve seen him push his top athletes to the extreme and modify workouts for new members that make them feel like they’ve achieved something, all while providing comedic relief along the way. The other coaches all take tips from Scott’s coaching style and are there to make you better as well. CFTC is a welcoming community and makes everyone feel apart of it. Crossfit requires consistency, you will not see results overnight, this demands you put the work in.
I started July 2, 2024. In 13 months I’m down over 30lbs, my health has done a complete 180. I’m stronger, I have more endurance, more energy and my lower back problems have improved dramatically. I look forward to attending class everytime. This is just the start for me. If you can’t get into a groove with your normal gym routine and struggling with your health, or you want to improve your fitness, I strongly recommend giving CFTC a chance. It will change your life!

CrossFit Tri County has completely redefined what I thought a gym could be. From day one, the coaching staff has been nothing short of phenomenal, every coach here takes the time to learn your goals, your strengths, and where you need guidance, and then helps you get there step by step. The programming is smart, challenging, and adaptable for every fitness level, so you always feel pushed but never left behind.
The coaches have great attention to detail, ability to correct form, and knack for motivating you when you think you’ve got nothing left. They create an environment where hard work feels rewarding, and where progress is celebrated no matter how big or small. You don’t just show up and “do a workout” you learn, you grow, and you leave feeling accomplished every single time.
What really sets CrossFit Tri County apart, though, is the community. It’s a group of people who encourage each other, celebrate wins together, and make you want to keep coming back. I’m not sure I have the words to convey how I feel about Coach Scott St Cyr and Tri county CrossFit but I’ll try . I’m 56 yrs old. I’ve had a right knee and hip total replacement. The knee is about 5yrs old and the hip 3 yrs old. I never recovered completely from these procedures for many reasons but mostly I didn’t put the time and effort in. I was in a state of mind where I told myself I was broken and this is now my life. Sedentary, incapable of enjoying family activities, work that needed to be done around the house etc. at one point I weighed over 300lbs. I was able to get my weight to 280lbs but still feeling very broken. With some prompting from my son ( relentless prompting lol ) I decided to give CFTC a try . I won’t lie it was very difficult in the beginning. I could barely get up and down off the floor. I have currently just finished my 4th month at CFTC and I’m down 33lbs. I’m doing things I never imagined I would be able to do again. You have to put the work in both at home with healthy eating and in the gym. That being said everything you are taught at CFTC is scalable. Coach scott has all the tricks to get you moving and heal your body and your mind . Just 4 months in I am a different human being than I was . My strength is coming back I’m doing vigorous activities like mountain biking, hiking and I’m back on the softball field again, playing along side my son who I am extremely grateful for. Without his push I’d still be complaining from the recliner. CFTC has changed my life for the better 100%! The hardest part is just showing up. Did I mention the family atmosphere and support system from the other coaches and gym members. It is 2nd too none. I couldn’t recommend CFTC enough. I am now 56yrs young and turning my clock back day by day. Harder to kill and stronger than I know. You got this, give it a shot. 😎

Tri County CrossFit in Bellingham, MA is top-notch! Owner Scott St. Cyr and the coaching team are excellent—knowledgeable, encouraging, and always focused on safety. Every WOD is thoughtfully customized for beginners, intermediates, seniors, or anyone with physical limitations. The hardest part for me is walking through the door on the first day of a new box, but once you open that door you quickly realize CFTC is simply amazing. You can tell this community really cares about each other and my initial butterflies went away 30 seconds after walking through the door. Whether it’s a fist bump or a hug, the community is very welcoming and show up for each other. I’ve been doing CF for a little over 8 years and have seen a lot of different styles of coaching and have felt very comfortable with the style of Coach Scott and his amazing coaching team! I reached out a few weeks before I started, a little over a year ago for a drop in. I haven’t left because of the motivation and ethic that they teach here. I’ve made more progress over the last year with my gymnastics movements than I ever have before. They are also great at teaching clients how to truly scale and gain insight into the intensity needed for functional movements. CFTC is great box and I highly recommend it…Highly!

CFTC Truly Cares - More Than Just a Workout!
I was a member of CFTC when it first opened in 2012. I loved it then, but life got in the way, and I left for 8 years or so. I was always waiting for the time when i could return. The time finally came, and I was scared to come back because i was so out of shape and gained a lot of weight and not feeling very confident. My fears were for nothing. The moment I walked in, I felt welcome and comfortable. It didn't matter the level of my fitness because there are all levels of fitness there.
The coaches are top-notch, offering modifications and guidance for every fitness level. They push you to reach your potential while prioritizing safety and proper form.
But what I appreciate most is the emotional support and camaraderie. During a difficult time in my life, CFTC became my happy place. Members and staff offered kind words, listening ears, and even hugs when I needed them most.
If you're looking for a gym that truly cares about your overall well-being, look no further. This gym is a haven for anyone seeking a supportive environment to grow stronger in body and spirit. Thank you to Scott St Cyr and the entire team for creating a space that feels like home

I started CrossFit at another gym about 6 years ago, and I switched to cftc early this year. I loved CrossFit before, and I love it still - the true magic of this place is the coaching. I have been injury free since joining (the longest streak of my CrossFit tenure), and my range of motion has noticeably increased.
Coach Scott is meticulous about proper form, adequate intensity, and above all else longevity. There’s a huge amount of care placed on members as individuals, and together as a community. Every member receives his focused attention, and personal recommendations before each workout even begins.
There’s space for monster Rx athletes, and day 1 beginners. I’ve never been to a gym quite like this one - if you’re on the fence give it a shot, he’ll change your life!

When first going to this gym I was nervous about making friends or who I would get along with. The second I walked in for my first class I was treated with so much respect from Coach Scott (owner) and all the other coaches. Every member in the gym took time to Introduce them selves and made me feel welcome. While the workout of the day is going on people will take time to cheer your name and spread positivity. They will give you a boost of confidence to keep going and to never give up. If you are unable to do the prescribed movement/workout, the coaches will give you so many options to still get a great workout in. They will always watch you and make sure you are not in discomfort and getting the best workout you can for the day.
If you’re looking to get in better shape, develop great form, fix an injury, move better, make friends, this gym is the right choice for you. I have spoken to almost every member in the gym. Every single one of them love showing up each day and love the community. CrossFit Tri County has saved lives and peoples overall health. If you want a gym filled with coaches who care, an owner whose passion is coming in every day to spread happiness and members who constantly support you and motivate you. I have been a proud member of CFTC for 12 plus years. Scott and his coaches are the best. The community is amazing. I started when I was on a weight loss journey and lost over 70lbs. I stayed because of what CrossFit has done for my confidence, mental health and overall wellness. I learned this year how important it is to take care of yourself. I received a cancer diagnosis in November of 2023. I had major surgery and now cancer treatment. I have been able to continue to CrossFit with modifications and stay strong with the support of my coaches and community at CFTC. It truly is a special place.

There is so much to say about this amazing gym and I’ll keep it short as possible. Scott is an absolute fantastic coach and has grown his place into a fantastic community. The members are amazing here and it’s a very warm and welcoming atmosphere especially if you are just starting your fitness journey. I am a certified personal trainer myself and have been in the industry for over 10 years and I have no problem saying Scott is one of the best coaches I’ve ever encountered/ worked with including myself. He has even motivated me to become a better trainer for my clients. I also actively compete in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and Scott has put my conditioning to a whole other level for my competitions. I started my CrossFit journey about 8 years ago and have been to some amazing gyms over the years, but I can’t speak more highly of Coach Scott, CFTC and its community that I’ve seen this past year. The attention that Coach Scott gives to each individual is paramount to any other I’ve seen. You’re welcomed with hugs and fist bumps daily, and just constantly given those helpful chats and boosts that help make you feel that much better about just being there without feeling like you’re on the outside looking in. There isn’t a typical CrossFit “clique” that you see at many other gyms, CFTC knows that mentality is just toxic and scares newcomers away.
CrossFit has gained a bad rap of athletes constantly injuring themselves and bad coaches not being the supporting role to prevent it, but it just seems impossible at CFTC. Every class starts with an actual 2:00min warm up, group stretching and then individual banded mobility and stretches; sad to say but that’s unheard of at many gyms. Coach Scott wants to make sure everyone is prepped to attempt their best and scale to what you can do, but also push you where appropriate. He’s an all around amazing coach and I certainly wish I became a part of CFTC sooner.

I was a CrossFit-skeptic until I stepped into CFTC. When you join CFTC, you are joining a wonderful community of people who motivate each other. Coach Scott and his team of coaches (Thos, Brenda, Caroline, David and Abby) have been incredible. I have been working out 5 days a week at CFTC, for a month now, and I can tell that CrossFit Tri-County is hands-down the best CrossFit gym in the area. Coach Scott and his team place a great emphasis on technique, mobility, and stretching. His formula has definitely helped keep my knee issues at bay. If you have injuries or mobility limitations, they scale the exercises accordingly so you can still get a great workout. All you have to do is just show up and you will be in the best shape of your life. I cannot recommend them enough.

I don’t know why I waited so long to join CFTC, but I’m glad I did. Fantastic community, supportive coaches, and challenging, but fun, workouts await you every day. I don’t consider myself an athlete - just someone who wants to take better care of myself and keep myself active — but I have already seen definite progress in the two short months I have been here. It motivates me to keep coming back and doing my best. You’ll find people from all walks of life here, and the camaraderie here is truly special. All the other reviews are really true! I don't even know where to begin. CFTC has truly been life changing for me. The first day I stepped foot into CFTC I was greeted with open arms by Coach Scott and knew right then and there I belonged here. The support that comes out of here is unmatched to any other gym. The community here is AMAZING and so uplifting. It's so hard not to walk out of CFTC without a smile. This gym is incredible! The coaches focus on correct form to avoid injuries: they also work around any prior injuries or mobility limitations that you may have. My friends and I go a couple of nights a week and it has provided us a healthy environment to grow together in. It's been an absolute game changer for us!

I’ve been a member here off and on for the past 3 years. In the beginning I can honestly say I was trying to out train a very bad and unhealthy diet. I stopped my membership for a few months due to work commitments. I ended up having 2 heart attacks and needed heart surgery, I’m only 42. I contacted Scott and he literally took me by the hand and walked me through the workouts and my rehab process. His positive mindset is extremely contagious and helped me not just physically but mentally as well. I started beginning of August and here we are in September and I’m going 5 days a week and feeling a significant difference. Coming here has truly had a positive impact on my lifestyle. Please don’t not learn the way I did, your health definitely comes first.

Great place, amazing community! When I started at CFTC, I had no CrossFit and very little fitness experience. I've always put off joining CrossFit because I had heard a lot of different things about the people, the workouts and the injuries. I couldn't have been more wrong in my thinking. I wish I had started 10 years ago. My experience with the coaches and the community at CFTC has been nothing short of amazing. There is a right way and a wrong way to do CrossFit and the athletes that have been with Scott at CFTC for 10+ years are a testament to his approach as a coach. CFTC methodologies have a strong focus on mobility and longevity as they help transform you into an athlete who can be fit for life. Scott and the other coaches are hyper focused on making sure you work at the right level so that you are able to show up as many times a week as you'd like. The community of people who come here are amazing and are as supportive of the new person as they are for the grizzled Crossfit veteran. Regardless of your age or athleticism level this is a great place to learn how to get fit for life!

When one hears "CrossFit", one may think that's for "extreme athletes".
I've had gym memberships where a personal trainer was extra. I would avoid the free weights because I wasn't sure how to properly use them. CrossFit at CFTC is a place where you can learn. The workouts are intense, but scaled to your level of fitness. The key differentiator of a CrossFit Gym is the coaching. You're not just "working out", you are learning. The coaches at CFTC make sure your form is correct first and foremost, then you progress from there. People of all shapes, sizes, and fitness levels can be found at CFTC. The one thing everyone has in common is the positive, supportive community. Don't think "CrossFit", think "Gym class for adults". I started a year ago and I am probably stronger now in my mid 50's than I have ever been. It's even fun.

One of the best finds and gem in Bellingham. I am so glad that I have joined here. In 3 months, I can feel the difference in strength and stamina. WODs are great with a lot of variety and the coaches there are amazing. They give you personal attention, make sure you are doing everything right in form and are constantly motivating and pushing the entire class to perform at their best. But the true find is the community that is so good, friendly which makes the class everyday all the more enjoyable.

I want to start off this review by saying that I was fully a CrossFit skeptic before joining CrossFit Tri-County. Prior to joining, I rowed competitively for 5 years, and I was used to training for 3+ hours a day. I didn’t think it was possible to be in amazing shape by only working out for 1 hour a day. Fast forward 8 months later and CFTC changed my life! I am stronger, healthier, and fitter than I’ve ever been. CFTC has amazing, friendly, and knowledgeable coaches who are passionate about moving well. Outside of the fitness aspect of the gym, there is a truly wonderful community at CFTC, and each member brings their own light to the environment. Any member who has tried a different CrossFit gym knows that there is no gym that has the same community as CFTC does (I’ve tried 4 others). Upon joining, not only will you have access to high-intensity, individually tailored workouts, but you will also have the opportunity to meet genuine, down-to-Earth humans who may just become your closest friends. Even if you don’t think CrossFit is for you, try out a class. I guarantee you’ll be hooked in no time!

I started going to CrossFit Tri-County to get some exercise and I continue to go for so many more reasons. While I get pretty socially anxious, this community makes me feel happy. You are greeted with smiles and friendly faces before the workout, then bombarded with fist bumps and words of praise afterwards. Finding CFTC was the best thing that happened to me and my husband... not only were we welcomed like we have been always a part of the gym .. but Coach Scott made sure we were getting what we were looking for. It has surely helped me gain more strength and handle my 19 month old kid with so much more energy and also match up to his energy levels ... All the coaches are very cool and for sure make sure that you are safe while you are working out .. they make you get into the mindset of working on the form and technique before getting to the weights which helped me a lot. Its the 1st thing I do in the morning starting my day with motivated gym partners pushing everyone to do their best. And I wanted to mention one more thing is the coaches motivate you to show up regularly at the gym so that we know how important practicing what we are not good at is and getting better. I’ve been a member at cftc for 9 1/2 years. It has been the best way to start my day ever since I joined. The owner Scott is a friendly and supportive coach along with all the other coaches. I can do things now that I would have never thought possible 9 years ago even after having 2 kids. Along with a great place to workout, it has been a great place to make new friends and socialize. If I ever have to bring the kids (which I try not to) Scott always loves having them and has pushed them around the gym in the stroller for me to get my workout in and my 4 year old enjoys playing games with him after class and helping him coach. Before coming to CFTC and trying CrossFit for the first time, my girlfriend tried to get me to workout regularly for years. I tried different gyms but never stuck with it. Amazing coaches and community! My wife and I started here with Coach Scott and team about 6 months ago. We had really never worked out on a consistent bases before and had never been exposed to CrossFit. When first walking in, it seemed a bit intimidating, but after the first few sessions, that all dissipated! It was extremely challenging at first, but with all of the encouragement of the community at CFTC, we have stuck with it. It is still challenging, but doesn't hurt nearly as much as those first couple of weeks! LOL! All of the coaches are extremely helpful and encouraging, taking time every workout to make sure you are using proper technique and scaling the workout appropriately for your level. We are now going consistently 4 times a week and enjoying the results: I now no longer need BP meds (approved by my doctor) I have lost 10lbs and gained back 9lbs in muscle, we have completely changed our diet, and my wife and I have enjoy more time together with an activity we can share! We found CFTC through a referral. My goal was to get my daughter in a program that would meet her where she is and challenge her from there.
Coach Scott was so welcoming and made sure to understand all of my daughters issues so he could tailor the workout effectively.
The place is extremely clean and open, with limited class sizes.
Oh! We are now a month after her first workout and she has approached challenges that she was never open to before. Her confidence is in good hands.

I am in my third week at CFTC. Before I came here, I had been hesitant to take the first step because I have heard both good and bad things about Crossfit gyms. I did not know what to expect.
My first contact was with Scott, the owner and the head coach. Scott was quick to respond and was enthusiastic about having me come in and see things for myself. I went to a class the next day.
The first class was an excellent experience. Even though I was the new person, all the other folks were very happy to have me there, encouraged me, and showed me things that would help me get the most out of the workout. Most importantly, Scott made sure I did the workout at a level that was right for me. I didn't "overdo" it, but at the same time I didn't take a bunch of short cuts. I used weights and motions that were just right for my fitness level. Also, Scott made sure I was doing things correctly and safely.
Since the first class, I have been to several more and have worked with the two other coaches, Jaileen and Corey. They are both consummate professionals and share Scott's enthusiasm for doing things properly above all else. Also, they have both made sure I am properly scaling my workouts to correspond with my current level of fitness. Like Scott, they have both made me feel comfortable and excited about starting this journey.
The other folks who are a part of CFTC are a diverse, friendly, and impressive group. There is a wide range of ages and abilities. Regardless of the differences, everybody has been friendly and welcoming. People I have never met have congratulated me on my hard work, cheered on my successes, and taught me things that have helped me improve.
If you are on the fence, I urge you to take that first step. You will be glad you did!

I am new to CrossFit - I’ve played sports my entire life but never did any “training”. CrossFit is amazing! I am 60 and on any given day I am surrounded by men and women between 22-82, all working hard and supporting each other to do our best at the “WOD” and anything else our Coach has us do. And loving every minute of it! Coach Scott does an incredible job of “scaling” the workouts to each individual’s abilities. CFTC is not just a simple place where you put in work, clean your station, and move on. This is a community where everyone genuinely wants everyone else to succeed. Having started really slowly pre-COVID, I had doubts and some intimidation about being able to go through with this kind of a workout with people who are pushing good amount of weight. During the on ramp program, the focus was more on doing things the right way and making adjustments so that can become more natural as you add more complexity, like weight or distance on a run. I still felt intimidation and stepped away from Zoom to try and take the workouts solo.
Fast forward to August 2020. I made the decision that I needed to do more than just follow along from home. Having been with the community regularly has had a positive effect on my health and confidence. Coaches Scott and Corey actually want you to succeed and are willing to help where needed. The community genuinely wants to see you gain strength and get through a workout, even if it was scaled down. You feel like you conquered the world at the end!

When I was forced to move to the greater Boston area and leave my old CrossFit home behind, it was devastating for me - I wasn’t sure that I would be able to replicate the same sense of community and coaching anywhere else. In fact, I had convinced myself that I wouldn’t. But luckily, I found CFTC which proved me terribly wrong. In this box, everyone (and I mean everyone) is invested in your personal growth. The coaches are experts at catering the workout to your fitness level, and the people never fail to put a smile on your face. CFTC is more than just a crossfit gym. It’s a place where the coaches and members motivate and support each other.
When I started at CFTC, I had a lot of extra baby weight still and I had been pretty sedentary for a few years.
I remember my first week, they heavily scaled my workouts, yet I was almost defeated by a handful of burpees. I’m not joking when I say that I started at almost zero, but everyone was so kind and supportive. There was no shame, no judgement... only kindness and support. The coaches take the time to make sure every member is comfortable. They want you to succeed. They want you to be healthy. They want to share their knowledge with you.
Over time I was able to push harder and harder and see massive results in not just strength and performance but in how my body looks and feels.
Since starting crossfit, I have lost 30lbs, but honestly weight is just a number. The important thing is what I have gained... I’ve gained health, confidence and friendships. Oh and remember those burpees that I said almost defeated me... now I do 100 with a smile on my face.

Joining CrossFit Tri-County has been the best fitness decision I’ve ever made. I’m not trying to write a sales pitch for them I just feel the coaches at cftc truly care. There is a friendly and welcoming atmosphere at cftc. Anyone and everyone belongs, from 80’s (or older!) to kids, whether you’re in shape, or not, or just don’t think you are. Try it out! You’ll be encouraged to push yourself to new limits you didn’t think were possible but never pushed by the coaches only through the spirit of competition by your peers and personally. Cftc is great, if you’re interested in CrossFit or already have CrossFit experience and looking for a new box try them out, I doubt you’ll be disappointed.

I have been a member of CFTC for about 6 months and it has become not only a place to improve my fitness goals, but has also given me an awesome community and family!
Before starting at CFTC I went to another box in New York for a couple of months and loved the high intensity workouts that were always challenging. After I moved and started at CFTC I noticed right away how awesome the coaching staff is here. Every coach hyped on the importance of doing what is challenging for you, while staying safe, because every workout is scalable for anyone. The coaching staff also knows how to safely challenge and push me to improve my strength and fitness. If I had stayed at my previous gym I would have never made these physical improvements safely and effectively without the care, knowledge, passion, and focus of the coaching staff at cftc.
Also, being a former high school and college athlete I wish I had tried CrossFit when I was younger because I feel I am in the best shape I have ever been in. This would have benefited me in sports, so I highly recommend cftc to any athlete trying to become a more well-rounded. I also knew coming out of college and no longer playing sports I would struggle with finding motivation to workout by myself. CrossFit has given me a community parallel to teammates in sports that support you and make working out fun and something I look forward to everyday!
Lastly, no matter what your skill level may be, cftc is the most supportive community where every coach and member is there for you to motivate you, support you through a workout, or even support you through a challenging day you have been having. I can guarantee you will always walk out of this box in a better mood than when you first came in!

Before I started CrossFit I honestly didn’t know much about it, there are a lot of false stigmas about CrossFit but CFTC is truly an amazing place. Not only do you gain a lot of health benefits from CrossFit but the atmosphere is always so friendly and your surrounded with encouraging and hardworking people. I’m still in high school and most kids my age are struggling to find workouts that suit them best. Going to a gym alone can be very unmotivating but when going to CrossFit no matter how unmotivated you are feeling, you always seem to push harder when you’re surrounded by others who are helping you accomplish your goals. I started off pretty hesitant coming into CrossFit, not looking for much but just a summer workout to keep me in shape. It turned into a place where I can go and challenge myself and push against others to see amazing results that I never would have if I just went to a gym by myself. CrossFit has helped a lot with my athletics and fitness, I feel a lot stronger and faster on the lacrosse field and it has made a huge difference in my lacrosse game for me. You don’t have to be an amazing athlete to start CrossFit because any and every workout can be scaled to your ability and all the coaches are very good at making sure everyone stays safe. It’s an amazing and welcoming community that is friendly to everyone at all ages. It’s suitable for anyone too and it’s all what you want out of it, it can be a place to relieve stress and get a workout in or a place where you can reach a whole new level of fitness and push yourself to your limits. I am so happy to have found CFTC because it has made me in way better shape and there are always new things to work on and improve when I am at the gym!!

Joining CFTC has been one of the best decisions I have ever made. I was nervous to begin as I was still recovering from a non-CrossFit related shoulder injury, but the coaches at CFTC knew not only exactly how to modify for me, but also how to work with me to slowly and safely regain strength and mobility in my shoulder. There was no pressure to jump right in and do something that I didn’t feel comfortable with. In fact, it was the opposite—I was encouraged to take it slow and steady, learn the proper foundation and movement patterns before adding weight. With the help and support of the coaching staff, I am now performing all of the movements that I was afraid of and that I had convinced myself that I’d never be able to do. I am now consistently pressing 100+ pounds overhead which is something I was unable to do even before my injury. My lower body and core are also so much stronger since joining, and my conditioning has drastically improved.
There are unfortunately so many misconceptions about CrossFit, and my one regret is that I believed them and didn’t join sooner. Due to the highly skilled coaching and the supportive and motivating community, I couldn't imagine working out anywhere else. I now know firsthand that CrossFit is safe when you’re learning from knowledgeable coaches who truly care about you and your goals. That's the type of environment that Coach Scott has created and mastered. At CFTC, you aren’t just another member—you’re family.

My mom has been a part of CFTC for 3 years and it has changed her entire out look on life. I’m a junior in college this year and during my 2.5 years I haven’t focused much on my health or nutrition. I use to be a very fit and athletic person but have lost that part of me since college. I decided to take back my life to rediscover who I once was and to become better than before. Since joining crossfit, I feel reconnected to the person I use to be and with the encouragement of the CFTC Coaches and other members, I feel like anything is possible. Those, among other things is what CFTC should stand for!! Over 2.5 years ago I was looking for something for my teenage son to do to keep busy through the winter months. Upon a friend’s recommendation, I signed him up for Crossfit at CFTC. Within 6 weeks of him joining I joined. Keep in mind, I tried it once, at a different gym and swore I would NEVER do it again. CFTC has changed everything I ever thought about Crossfit. Coach Scott and his team of amazing coaches are knowledgeable and passionate about what they do and their main goal is always to help you become a better you. CrossFit Tri-County has truly changed my life. I moved to the New England area last year for PA school, and did not know anyone prior to my arrival. I decided to give CFTC a try, and it was honestly one of the best decisions I have made in a very long time. Not only have I made incredible friendships, but I have gained amazing training partners that have transformed my fitness to all new levels. We have been coming to CFTC for 2 1/2 years now. We joined with the idea we would try it for three months and see how we liked it. We were looking for something we could do together since both of our kids would be in college and we didn't want to sit home staring at each other.
Three months went by and we were hooked! You don't have to think about what to do as the workout of the day (WOD) is already programmed. The WODs are always challenging but can be scaled to your ability. The community is what really did it for us, though. Everyone is very supportive no matter what your level of ability is. The gang cheers every athlete on right to the end. They make you feel so good about what you are able to accomplish and they push you to do as much as you can so you keep progressing.
The coaches are great and make sure that you are able to do the movements properly so you stay safe. There is no pushing to 'go heavier' just for the sake of lifting more weight. Proper form is really emphasized to avoid injury.
If you are looking to give CrossFit a try, this is the place to do it. You will feel welcome and supported by all.

I first started at CFTC in January 2015 not knowing at all what to expect. Being a former professional athlete I immediately loved the "team like" support and encouragement of all the other members . I could never have imagined 2 years ago when I started at CrossFit Tri County that the coaches and community would become such a meaningful part of my life. I was looking for a way to become stronger and improve my fitness level but what I got was so much more. The varied work outs keep your interest, challenge misconceptions of what you think you “can’t” accomplish all the while helping you become a stronger better version of yourself inside and out. I love that you can scale/modify your work outs, and are encouraged to do so since it’s all about safety and form but at the same time your given the right amount of push so you don't get stuck in your comfort zone. The coaches are so knowledgeable and encouraging to every level of athlete. Whether you are Rxing every WOD and looking to compete or just trying to get the best work out in for yourself, they give each member the same respect, attention and enthusiasm. This box is not like every other typical box you hear about. “Box” for people not familiar with the term is what Crossfit junkies call their workout place. I like to travel not far thought roughly 30 minutes or closer to workout. I do this so my lovely girlfriend and I can sit in the car enjoy some music and discuss how our day went; plus we both thoroughly enjoy working out. The other two boxes I worked out at before coming to Crossfit Tri County were not very people orientated. I have had an issue with my shoulder that anything I lifted over my head would tear the soft tissue. The first thing I told these coaches when I arrived was the same problem I have been having for years, that my shoulder was absolute junk. For a month straight we focused on healing and strengthen my shoulder (something I never done at the other boxes). The owners of this gym Scott, Ashley and various other outstanding coaches were truly looking out for me. Finally for the past two months I have been complete fine with my shoulder. I have been throwing weight around like it was nothing, when three short months ago I could barely put a plate in a cabinet. If you are scared to join a Crossfit gym because of all the stories you hear about injuries then you are sadly mistaken. This box is different trust me when I say that I have seen firsthand the difference between each and every one. This place is a must for anyone of any ability and cannot wait to continue my fitness journey here at Crossfit Tri County.
