I went to the gym last Thursday 06/16 and they was taking all the equipments and machines out it look like they are moving or closed but They don’t send any message email to let the clients know . I’m so disappointed because is the only gym at Westborough they should let we know before they move because I still paying for use the gym .

Worst customer service ever. I am trying to cancel my membership since i moved out from Massachusetts. It’s been more than two months i am calling this branch they never picked my call. I left multiple voice mails. I have sent them multiple emails but, still no response. I never experienced such worst customer service anywhere. Their voicemail always says that, our staff is busy in cleaning I don’t understand how many days they will clean the gym without attending the phone calls.

Been a member here for a few years. Only reason is because of their convenient location. But wow, this place is dirty all the time, lacks paper towels(to wipe down equipment). Half the equipment here is really worn down, doesn’t function or is unsafe. You pay a maintenance fee every year for no reason cause they don’t maintain anything.

It’s sad cause this place WAS nice a few years ago but management and the owner don’t take pride in this place. They should really close it down for a week and do the work that needs to be done.

Only reason for the 2 stars is the location and 24/7.

Could be great, but it is by far the worse gym I have ever been to due to the uncleanliness of the facilities. There is a legitimate concern of contracting Staph infections when you see a Gym to this level of uncleanliness. I've lived in MD, VA, MN, SD, CA and all over MA and this is by far the dirtiest gym I have ever been to.

Could be an absolute stellar location and phenomenal gym. But the lack of cleaning shows a lack of care.

It’s been about a year since I’ve been to this gym. Went back for the first time yesterday 1/27/22, And wow was I surprised. The men’s bathroom and locker room are absolutely disgusting. Crud piled up in the corners, urine dripping down the outside of the urinals, mirrors were filthy, and it appears the locker room hadn’t been vacuumed since before I took my break. The best part is the employee was “cleaning” the bathroom while I was there. Not sure what he was cleaning but I would find another gym to attend until they clean this dump up.

Fraudulent and non-professional management, I have been trying to cancel my membership and have yet to receive a response (now over a week). As other reviewers have noted, they are rarely there and when you just get some recorded message claiming the workers are cleaning and to leave a message, which surprise they don't actually check.

They have even sent a collections agency after me (Aldous & Associates) to try to retrieve payments. Even then its unclear how much I am supposed to pay, as they continue to provide me contradictory info on the exact balance I supposedly owe.

I would not go here.

I have been going to this location for around 20 years, and have lived through several different ownerships. When Crunch took over a few years back, they made a lot of improvements. But over the last six months, it has seriously gone downhill. The place is filthy... dirt/dust piling up under and around equipment. Locker rooms, bathrooms, showers are disgusting - mold all over he shower curtains. Urinals and floors never cleaned for weeks-on-end. Equipment is getting run down... coverings/padding getting torn. The gym is in disarrays, with equipment scattered all over the place. If I were the manager of this place, I would be embarrassed. Over the last 6 months, I have filled out 3 Crunch surveys that they send to me, and every time I have highlighted the cleanliness concerns, but nothing changes. Very frustrating. Not sure how they think they can attract new members and retain existing members with such poor facility and equipment upkeep. Hope things change soon, otherwise they will lose their valued customers.

You will never be able to get ahold of them if you have an issue. Terrible customer service and communication. The machines are fine but crowded together and the location is quite small. I would not recommend coming here. They do not care about their customers whatsoever.

I have been noticing the cleanliness level of this gym has sharply declined over the last couple of months.

The amount of dust and dirt in the gym is gross. I have not seen an employee cleaning in the gym for at least 3 months. The turf area is always littered with dirt and equipment and has lumps that are a serious safety hazard.

When I went to the gym to use a treadmill this morning I was disgusted by the layer of dust covering the base. I have been a member for a long time, I have never seen the state of this gym so bad.

This gym is very unclean. There is either trash or dust or dirty paper towels everywhere. I stopped doing floor exercises because I was so grossed out by the floor. The space is great and there is a ton of useful equipment. It’s just all over the place. Nobody re-racks and I think just labeling where things should go would be an easy fix. There are also some maintenance things like fixing the rips in the benches or tightening the barbells. In the last 6 months, I have never seen someone working there. I hope you realize how much business you are losing when nobody is there to sign people up for memberships. I also don’t understand why it’s not a 24-7 gym if nobody is ever working. It can be super inconvenient and there is absolutely no communication about changes in hours. Sending an email would be courteous if you are making changes to a set schedule.

I visited the the gym for the first time and I did not like it as much. The dumbbells were all over the place. No organization. The cleanliness is not that good. Equipments are pretty old and the abs area is pretty cramped and small with old carpet that looked a bit dirty. The front desk employee was very nice.

I was injured and have tried to cancel my membership for 2 months. No one was ever at the location in Westborough in the am when I tried to cancel in person. You call the location and you always get a recording saying the staff is cleaning the gym ,leave a message which I have several times with no return call for over a month. I finally recieved a call back from the manager I believe Mike or Matt told me to email my doctors info and they would refund the prior month and make sure no other fees came out. well this week another month came out and a annual fee and left messages again with no response this is just unexpectable for a business.

Great GYM around the area with very good equipment and good price options. They have almost every equipment you might need for the workouts. And also had enough space for training and free style workouts. Decent selection of classes are also offered here. locker rooms are good and the place is sanitized often. Great choice!

Don’t come here if you wear a mask or want to avoid Covid. It’s always been an issue at this gym but it’s only getting worse. People blatantly walk around with no mask on and nothing is done, I saw 8 people in one work out.

Good gym, bad clientele

I had a dangerous incident of an individual throwing loaded barbells at head height, monopolizing most of the turf section from other gym goers. Then proceeded to kick plastic steps around the gym at other members. Completely unacceptable.

On top of that, I am hearing conflicting statements of gym policy from gym staff and general manager Candice. Hopefully this matter is resolved quickly and can restore my faith in this branch.

I find the lack of regional/cooperate oversight of these branches to be very problematic.

This is a long time coming Crunch. If it wasn't for the fact that you have a couple squat racks and benches, I would have left months ago. It all starts with the masks and the enforcement. Putting an extra few signs out doesn't do any justice. It's time to staff someone in the mornings and/or revoke memberships. You're just losing the minimal respect that you already had from your customer base that actually follows your "supposed" rules. Responses to friends from months ago say you are doing something about this yet it continues to happen every day. Are you going to change?

I was really disappointed by Crunch in Westboro. It was my first time visiting the gym and at least 10 people were not wearing masks, and there was no one at the front desk monitoring this. I’ve never poorly rated a business before, but felt that the level of care was so reckless it was worth calling out especially those considering joining who are at risk. Please do better crunch.

I've changed this a few times now. Pretty disappointed even with the new mask enforcement orders put in place. Plus cleaning supplies don't seem to get filled regularly. In on a Thursday and Friday morning, no cleaning supplies or they are empty. Nobody on staff to change that.

Convenient location, and the gym is a good size. Not huge but not too small, i’ve never not been able to get on a cardio machine. The gym feels clean and doesn’t smell. I love that there’s a workout class room that you can use when there’s not a class. the basic membership is only $10/month with a contract or $15/month without one, which is awesome. The lockers rooms have normal unlocked lockers, lockers you can rent for like $25 if you want to lock up your things but forgot your lock. There are showers and even changing stalls if you don’t want to change in front of other people. The only thing i don’t love is how dark the back parking lot is.

Yes, it is new so it is super clean and very large with a lot of equipment. Love the locker rooms. Friendly staff and a reasonable sized parking lot.

They need better trained Zumba instructors (real dance instructors would be even better) and having members teach a song - dance is not professional: I am paying for good instructors who really know how to teach and what the flow of exercise needs to be. Management should step in and stop this.

Compared to gyms in the area, the price couldn't be beat (even with additional fees) for the number of machines and overall gym balance. Do make sure you read the fine print for all the charges. There is a good flow with the machine placement, 3 barbell/lifting9 racks, and 2 Smith machines as well as multiple benches with barbells to use. 5:30/6pm most days tend to be busier but not unbearable. Facility is super clean and plenty of space in locker rooms and outlets! A few other gyms I went to locally didn't have ANY accommodations for outlets... Overall great local gym, good prices, great facility.
