Dan's professional knowledge of personal training might only be outmatched by his compassion and dedication to those people lucky enough to have worked with him. Dan has helped me reach many goals over the last decade I've known him to include making a collegiate sports team and numerous strength and running achievements.

When working with Dan, there is always a clear and logical progression from "where I am right now" to "where I want to end up." His programs are backed by sports science and you will see and feel the progress you make. Most importantly, he cares about you. Dan got to know me and all the other athletes/clients he works with on a personal level.

Best in the business. Sports science professional. Compassionate human being.

Dan is the absolute best person and an exceptional trainer! Whatever your individual goals are, whether lifestyle or sports related, he will exceeds all expectations and deliver more than you thought.

He is incredibly knowledgeable and tailors his training focus to each specific person which most in this industry don’t do.

Training with Dan will be the best decision you can make, period!

Dan is a pretty special guy. Both my wife and I have trained with him. I can safely say that I have learned more from Dan about fitness and physiology than any other person on this planet. He is patient, kind, caring, and a remarkable teacher. He works with each of his clients, getting to know their fitness goals, their past experiences, injury history, time constraints, and more. He then takes his time to custom create exercise plans that both meet clients where they are at, and push them just outside of their comfort zone, in a caring and supportive way. After working with Dan for year, I can not only say that I am a more physically fit and healthy person, but a more confident, more well rounded, and more self-aware human. I cannot recommend him enough.

Dan has provided me with just about the best personal-training experiences I’ve ever had. He has a gift for first understanding the goals of his clients, and then jumping in with a passion that makes it clear that our goals are his goals. Let’s be honest: There are trainers who wander from station to station with their clients, doing little more than pointing to the next exercise on the script. And then there are the trainers who offer actual guidance and have a plan. It’s always been the latter course with Dan. He knows his stuff, and he shares his knowledge without speaking down to his clients or being preachy. Five-star recommendation here.

After working with Dan for over a year, I can confidently say he pretty much knows it all. Whether you're looking to build back after an injury, hit a new personal record, or just want to get back into shape - Dan's your guy. Using his extensive knowledge of physiology and exercise/sports performance, he can create whatever type of plan you're looking for. On top of his expertise, he's a joy to be around. He really makes training fun, but also knows how to get the best out of you. He always meets you where you're at and builds with you. You absolutely cannot go wrong in choosing to work with Dan.

I had the absolute pleasure of having Dan serve as a mentor during my early years as a personal trainer and nutritionist. Through his guidance, I learned exactly what it means to be a true fitness professional. Dan’s counsel served me well, as I became the Lead Trainer and Training Director at one of S. Florida’s most popular gyms. His dedication to the science of training perfectly compliments his commitment to the “personal” side of training. Dan is the man!

I worked with Coach Dan for all four years of my college football career at Tufts University, and he is hands down the best strength coach I’ve ever had. His influence goes far beyond the weight room — the lessons he taught me about discipline, resilience, and mindset still guide me to this day.

Dan is an exceptional coach: knowledgeable, motivating, and thorough in his approach. He pushes you past your physical limits while helping you build true mental toughness. Whether it’s improving strength, explosiveness, speed, flexibility, or developing a recovery program, Dan knows exactly how to tailor your plan AND his coaching to bring out your best.

What sets Dan apart is that he doesn’t just train athletes, he develops complete individuals. He instills habits, accountability, and a drive to attack challenges both in and out of the gym.

If you’re serious about results and personal growth, Dan is the coach you want in your corner. Thank you, Coach, for everything you’ve taught me — on the field, in the gym, and in life.

Dan was one of my closest mentors when I was in the strength and conditioning profession. When I went into my first role as a SC Coach, he was always my first call when I needed him and he always answered! He embodies the key characteristics of what a coach/trainer should be: attentive to detail, goal-oriented, and driven for results. He has high expectations and will never let us sell ourselves short. Not only is he well educated and experienced in all aspects of fitness, he will put your goals and aspirations before his. You’re not only getting a trainer, you’re getting mentor and leader out of him. There’s nobody better!

Dan is not only the greatest trainer in the world, but also one of the greatest people I have ever had the privilege of working with. His knowledge of fitness and exercise is excellent, but what is more than that is that Dan takes the time to know you personally. He wants to understand your goals, and from that he builds a very achievable road map to get you where you want to be. He keeps things challenging, but fun, and never asks something of his clients that he wouldn't ask of himself. He is a great motivator, teacher, and friend. If you have the chance to work with Dan you will not only become a better athlete, but a better person. I feel blessed to have worked with Dan for so many years, and many more to come!

A client in their 70s, I highly recommend without reservation the Personal Trainer, Dan Kopcso, for his outstanding professional competence and expertise. Extremely impressive is his ability to evaluate a client’s unique fitness level and limitations, to design accordingly an appropriate, safe, and effective exercise and fitness program, and most importantly thereafter to guide, encourage, and motivate successful progress and accomplishment of personal fitness goals. When I began training with Dan, I lacked overall muscle strength and flexibility, was unable to stand up from a chair, had balance issues, and could not walk any distance of consequence. Today I can attest that all these former aspects have been successfully addressed by Dan and no longer define my life. I regard him and always will a “Master of the Muscles” par excellence!

It is a privilege to train with a coach as knowledgeable, creative and motivational as Dan. He came prepared to help me progress from day one. He quickly and precisely identified my functional weakness and set up a series of stretches and exercises I could do on a daily basis. Dan follows up our visits by texting me notes and short videos so I know what to do and avoid. He delivers all of this with insanely precise observation, firm direction and great humor. I feel confident and highly motivated with his guidance both during our sessions and working out alone. I’ve had the chance to work with personal trainers for over 15 years and Dan is one of the very finest. Whole heartedly recommend him.

Long time aging athlete (now 74) running @30-40 miles and swimming @3,000 yards per week with Dan's expert training (nearly ten years) has allowed me to maintain a high level of fitness for running, swimming and overall fitness. Dan's strength coaching and conditioning expertise several years ago after a surprise open heart triple bypass ( bad genes) operation had me jog-walking a 5K eight weeks after surgery. I highly recommend Dan for your strength and conditioning program.

I can't say enough great things about Dan--he is, without a doubt, one of the best personal trainers (and people) out there. From day one, he made me feel comfortable, got to know my fitness goals, and brought a level of energy and knowledge that made me feel like I was working with the right person. Since our training days, I have recommended Dan to so many friends and family because I am so confident in his ability to work with anyone! He also inspired me to become a personal trainer myself while I was a student at Tufts University and as a registered yoga, pilates, and zumba teacher now, I am certain that my time working with Dan inspired my drive to work with other people.
Hundred percent would recommend, Dan!

I’ve worked with Dan for nearly a decade. Dan is a superlative personal trainer who leverages his encyclopedic knowledge of human fitness, decades of training elite athletes, and passion for physical exercise. No two workout routines from Dan are the same. Before a meeting, Dan asks his clients about their fitness ambitions, workout preferences, and gym resources. Based on these criteria, Dan meticulously curates a personalized regimen that enables his clients to efficiently and expertly fulfill their fitness goals. Dan’s clients gain more than just a new workout routine. They gain a kind, empathetic, and zealous advocate they can depend on for informed advice about nutrition, injury prevention, and proper exercise form. Few, if any, personal trainers are endowed with Dan’s extraordinary skill, experience, and commitment to their clients.

Training with Dan at Tufts University was key to my athletic growth. Under his guidance, I became the strongest and fastest I’ve ever been. Dan’s knowledge of strength and conditioning is exceptional — he understands how to push you to your limits while keeping your training smart, safe, and tailored to your goals.

What really sets Dan apart is his energy and commitment. He’s genuinely enthusiastic about helping his athletes succeed and brings consistent positivity and intensity to every session. Whether it was improving my speed, building strength, or staying injury-free, Dan had a plan and knew exactly how to get me there.

I’ve been working with Dan since 2012—nearly every week, often more than once. When I started, I had serious back issues from old sports injuries and had been in and out of physical therapy. My physical therapist recommended Dan specifically for his experience with injuries, and I’m so glad they did.

Dan is not your average trainer. His background as a Strength and Conditioning Coach at Tufts University gives him a deep understanding of the body and how to train safely and effectively. He customized a program that helped me strengthen and repair my back, and continue my active lifestyle—something that, at points, wasn’t easy.

He’s incredibly attentive, adjusts every session to how I’m feeling that day, and pushes me just enough to keep progressing. I train with him both at his private gym and at home, and between sessions I use his custom workout sheets and videos to stay on track.

Dan’s also just a great person—honest, positive, motivating, and easy to work with. He listens carefully and offers the flexibility I need with my schedule.

I’m 71, work in a sedentary sales and management role, and thanks to Dan, I’m in terrific shape. I hike (including Mount Washington last year), cycle weekly, and kayak the Maine islands. Staying fit is essential to the life I want to live, and Dan has played a huge part in making that possible.
Highly recommend.

Seven amazing years of training with Dan have been nothing short of transformative. As a personal trainer, Dan is exceptional, crafting highly personalized exercise programs that perfectly matched my body’s needs and fitness goals. His very personal approach and professionalism shone through in every 40-minute session, where he skillfully combined challenging weight training with expertly guided assisted stretching, improving my strength, flexibility, and overall well-being. Dan’s ability to adjust each session on the spot—tailoring exercises if I felt weaker than usual or not at my best—ensured every workout was safe, effective, and motivating. His expertise, genuine care, and encouraging demeanor make him stand out as not just a trainer, but a true partner in health. I wholeheartedly recommend Dan to anyone seeking a dedicated and skilled fitness professional.
