The instructors at this yoga studio are amazing, great teachers, patient and kind. The energy is uplifting and inspiring, I’m so appreciative my sister brought me here. My daughters and I are looking forward to coming back again next summer.
Thanks!!

Dharma Yoga is my To Go Yoga place on the island. Joann Burnham is absolutely amazing- I love everything about her classes and I am so happy and thankful to have the chance to learn from such a great instructor(and friend). Highly recommend this place for all levels and ages! Joann and her husband Ted are also the founders and organizers of Nantucket Yoga Fest- my favorite summer event- a must go for all yoga lovers;)

I started practicing with Dharma Yoga a little over a year ago when I moved to Nantucket full time. I was a little apprehensive on my first visit because I'm 65 and hadn't done yoga for about 20 years. Sheri and Joann were so warm and welcoming, I quickly relaxed and felt welcomed to this fantastic community of women and men of all ages and bodies. During the year my husband had a TBI and a stroke, so I have been in "care giver" mode for months. Both the Hatha Alignment and Restorative Yoga practices have given me the peace, strength, and centeredness to stay patient and compassionate through the whole year. And the Aerial Restorative practice (in the silk cocoons) is pure bliss! There are a lot of options for approaching different postures, so there is never a sense of being pushed to do something your body can't do on that day. Yet if you want to go deeper and be more challenged, you can. I've gotten stronger and more confident in my practice so it's almost "effortless effort" now (except Low Plank!).
