I’ve been training at Elevate Strength and Performance in Worcester since December, and the experience has been truly transformative. Under the guidance of Evan and his dedicated team, I’ve become stronger, healthier, and more confident in my fitness journey than ever before.

Their approach to training focuses on building real, functional strength through kettlebell and dumbbell workouts. Every session is thoughtfully structured, challenging, and tailored to help you progress safely while pushing your limits. This is the best gym. The coaching is top notch and the environment is positive, supportive and kind. I was a little intimidated to join a gym like this at first, but I was so welcomed by the coaches and other members that that feeling disappeared quickly! With small class sizes, you get a lot of attention and feedback, making it great for all levels of experience. I’ve been going for about 2 months now and I’ve already seen major changes in my strength and posture, inside and outside of the gym. Today I was walking out of the local hardware store with a 35lb bag of dog food on my shoulder when I dropped my keys. Instead of putting the food down. I dropped one foot back, did a split squat to pick up my keys and kept walking. Evan and the coaches at Elevate are amazing and are all about functional strength and movements. I have been a member of Elevate for just over a year now and I’m so happy it (and the wonderful coaches and people I’ve met) are a part of my life. I, like many, had an on again off again relationship with gyms and personal training. When I didn’t understand, or when it got too hard (or when I inevitably got hurt) I just decided it wasn’t for me and stopped for a while. The training and relationships here are vastly different than anything I’ve experienced. You are pushed to do your best, but you are pushed to do your best in a way that is safe to you. Each coach truly cares about your form, what you have going on, etc that could impact how you do the exercise you are doing. I’ve never been happy or excited to go to the gym, and I’m always happy to go knowing I’m seeing people who are so kind, personable and who want the best for everyone. I am so grateful for everything Evan, Gail and Dion have done for me in a year and look forward to continued training with them.

I joined Elevate Strength and Performance a few weeks ago with the goal of improving my running speed, aiming to hit a 7:30-minute mile. However, I was facing issues with tightness in my hips that were holding me back. From the start, Evan and Gail provided personalized attention that has helped me work on my mobility, which has been a game changer. I have been a member here since 2016 and could not recommend it more. The owner, Evan, is nothing short of spectacular. He has the best coaches who are all educated and experienced in their craft. I have not stepped into a cleaner facility and great care is taken of all equipment. Staff is very attentive to injuries and able to make modifications so you are always able to get some work in. What started as a goal to meet some people living in a new city and get in some shape after years off from athletics, has turned into a community I couldn’t have begun to ask for. The ”gains” expand beyond the gym and Evan and team have been there through it all.

The community Evan and his team has created at Elevate rivals no other! It is the friendliest, most supportive group of people one would ever hope to meet. Forget any "big box gym-bros" and the like, this place doesn't play like that. Thought I would update my review since it was 5 years ago. Elevate is still the best-in class-gym and community I have ever been a part of - and I have been a gym rat for 20+ years and tried everything: big box gyms, boutique gyms, small class training, every exercise class under the sun, hell, I was even "committed" for a couple years (IYKYK). Elevate beats every single one and it's not even close. The personal attention and community support you receive at Elevate is unrivaled. It's almost been 8 years for me here at Elevate and that's the longest I have ever stayed at one gym and I never plan on leaving.

If you have been wanting to start exercising, or looking to return after an absence, this is the sign you have been looking for - do it today and you will not regret it!

I joined ELEVATE three years ago and have not looked back. If you're looking for a gym where the coaches matter about YOUR fitness goals, you've found the right place. I've learned so much about myself, my strength, and my goals over the past three years. When I joined, I struggled to walk up a flight of stairs, could barely lift any weights, and resented going to a gym. ELEVATE welcomed me in, without judgement of my physical condition, and gave me the tools I needed to succeed in all areas of fitness. I started deadlifting with a single 20kg kettlebell (44 pounds). With dedication, exceptional coaching, and a focus on technique over getting to new PRs quickly, I hit a PR this weekend of 375lbs!! Over a 330 pound increase!!! It goes beyond the weightlifting PRs, though: I can now bound up the stairs, effortlessly, 10x/day. I can wake up and walk 5 miles without blinking, and I can live life more fully.

I never left the gym feeling like I was abusing my muscles. Rather, I felt the exhaustion of working hard, consistently, and with deep intentionality. It is this focus on intentionality that teaches you to move properly. If you follow the coaches cues, you too can train with such intentionality where you minimize your potential to hurt yourself.

If you're thinking of joining or learning more, do not hesitate. I do not doubt that the skills you will learn will carry you to a brighter future, and a healthier, stronger you.

Elevate = instant de-stressor! You walk though the door & your worries stay on the other side & sometimes you forget to collect them on the way out! I've been working out at Elevate since spring of 2021, and its been worth literally every cent. Evan puts his heart and soul into this gym, and he's got a fun, skilled team of coaches that bring their own personality to the sessions. I feel like I found myself again by coming here, and in the process I found a community. They change up the classes on a monthly basis, so you can challenge yourself without the workouts going stale. Move Well. Be Strong. These words are printed on the window at Elevate, and I think they are a perfect focus for my review!

1. Move Well.

I used to be a person that had the “more is better” “go hard or go home” mentality. I was always pushing limits and not always using the proper form. As a result, I was plagued with shoulder issues (and other issues) for years. I joined Elevate in 2019, and thus began my reeducation! The coaching attention given to form in all movements is second to none. I’ve learned the importance of movement prep (warming up) and rest and recovery and I have learned to move well. I can still work hard and challenge myself, but in a way that allows me to remain pain free.

2. Be Strong

I am a goal oriented person, so the Elite small group training has been a perfect fit for me. I share my goals with my coach and he writes a custom program to help me achieve those goals. Small goals, big goals, whatever they may be, I have made continuous improvements in strength since I started in 2019.

3. Be Happy!! 😊

Elevate is truly my Happy Place! The coaches, the environment and the community are the best. 💚

My husbands been going to elevate for almost 10 years and has loved it. When we met I joined shortly after and have really enjoyed it. It’s super clean, nice equipment, everyone’s welcoming, great gym culture. It’s really a little community. I’ve worked out at other gyms in Worcester area including orange theory and they just aren’t the same. I’ve also done personal training before and all of the coaches here are great. Evan the owner is definitely the best trainer I’ve ever worked with. But all the trainers are super knowledgeable and help you with your form and reaching your goals. The coaches also pick someone every month who’s exemplified the core values of the gym and showed a lot of growth, then the gym donates money to that persons charity of choice, which is think it so great. If you want team personal training then this is the gym for you. Theres different workouts daily and they change every month so you never get bored. Also super reasonably priced for a specialty gym. Can’t recommend elevate enough!

I highly recommend Elevate to anyone, especially if youre looking to get into weightlifting. The gym focuses on developing good techniques from your first class. Evan (the head coach and owner) is extremely knowledgeable and I love how he explains good techniques and why its important. It is very clear that he is passionate about fitness and providing his trainees with quality coaching. Gail and Dion are super encouraging while still motivating you to challenge yourself. Programs change on a monthly basis so you are never too bored of the same workout, all the while building strong foundations.

Elevate is of the upper echelon of gyms. I have been working out for over 15 years with a focus on both boxing as well as strength and conditioning. I was a member of a gym for over 7 years that was no longer serving me. The gym offered a mix of strength as well as intense cardio like burpees, wall balls etc. I am 48 years old and didn't feel I was gaining any muscle and that the workouts were really fatiguing me and causing inflammation. I searched for a strength focused gym and found Evan and team. The gym is beautiful with the best equipment. More importantly Evan, Dion and Gail are amazing trainers and welcomed me with open arms. They listened to my goals and trained me from the basics. I loved learning perfect form with the focus on strength and quickly saw great results. After 6 months of training I had never felt better and had met my physical goals. Everyone there is so warm, friendly and fun! Great atmosphere and the very best of trainers! Unfortunately I moved away and was very sad to leave. I highly recommend!

I joined elevate a little over 2 years ago. I had worked out in the past, but after moving to a new town hadn’t found a local gym to get back into a fitness routine, and then covid hit. After a couple years of remote work and a less active daily routine I found myself packing on extra pounds and being less physically active then I had been before.

Elevate was the best choice of gym I could have made to restart my fitness journey- especially coming back into a gym routine out of shape and wanting to be careful to avoid injuries while regaining fitness. Evan, Dion and Gail are all excellent coaches with a focus on form and correct movement, and are all genuinely invested in your success and improvement. Truly you will not find a better coaching experience - the level of attention feels like you are benefitting from private coaching even in a group class. Classes are always a positive experience- fellow members are encouraging, supportive, and fun with plenty of laughs to go around, and the gym environment is very clean and welcoming (extra water bottles, hair ties, paper towels etc always readily available).

The programming is excellent and combined with the coaching ensures you will see results and progress wherever your baseline is at. My results varied from initially improving my movement quality, recovering from non-gym injuries, and building strength, to this last 9 months when I’ve been able to commit to pretty consistently attending class 4 times a week building strength, energy and muscle at 35 years old that I’ve never had before, while losing a significant amount of weight. Most importantly, I feel better and more capable outside the gym in daily life- a true testament to the functional training and movement quality the programming and coaching supports. I plan on being a life long member!

I’ve been going to Elevate for four months now and I have found a genuinely amazing gym environment. Evan, Gail, and Dion have given me so much confidence and guidance with their training and I love going there. I’ve built up my strength as they really focus on progression while ensuring all the exercises I’m doing are done without injury. I did not specifically seek out a kettlebell gym, but now that I’m here I love the versatility. The structure of the classes also makes it easy to follow along and know what you’re doing every day. I never considered myself a gym person before walking into Elevate. I think like many folks, I have had some not so great experiences with gyms where you're sort of left to your own devices and pick up terrible habits. Not here! They take the time to do an assessment of where you are and work with you to get you to your goals. Class sizes are small intentionally so nobody is lost in the crowd. And Bonus - the community and culture is authentically supportive, I'm just bummed I didn't get there sooner. If you are looking to build functional strength, work with people who take the time and WANT you to succeed AND have a few laughs along the way, for what it's worth, I highly recommend ELEVATE.

It’s been about 10-12 years since I’ve focused on conditioning. I’ve never felt comfortable in a gym; I’ve been anxious and too nervous to take the plunge. Evan and his team are exceptionally welcoming, motivating and accommodating to my fitness level without me feeling like I’m not a part of the group. They create monthly programs with progression for the strength and conditioning groups (TEAMS) but there are other classes there as well. I’m also in an Elite class which is more individualized for my personal goals. I know it can be tough to jump in but I highly recommend trying! You will want to keep up with it! Lastly price; when you are nervous about sticking with something any price can be intimidating. It’s a month to month fee and I find that my budget hasn’t really changed. You start to feel invested in your health to support your programming for me that meant fewer purchases of snacks, alcohol, smarter grocery trips and even dinners out. Try it, you”ll be surprised what you can accomplish in such a short time!!

Elevate is the best gym I have ever been a part of! I always active and engaging in various types of work outs but as I got into my 30’s, I felt it was important to start weight lifting for my bone density and to challenge myself to go outside of my comfort zone. I joined in 2015 and have been a happy member ever since. I trained through 2 pregnancies and I truly believe my consistent training prepared me for parenthood! The coaches at ESP are so dedicated to our growth, health and safety and that energy makes for an empowering and motivating space to get stronger. ESP is more than a gym, it’s a community where people cheer on your progress and support you through your struggles. The coaches are patient, knowledgeable, and great at explaining corrections. I came from another gym with a similar small group setting, but my mobility and strength weren’t improving and I was getting more stiffness in my joints. At elevate, there’s a focus on functional strength and movements to feel good. Whenever I’m walking up the stairs with my toddler in one arm and my baby in the other, I think of how fortunate I am to have coaches that have taught me the importance of core strength in all activities because otherwise this task would feel impossible. I recently joined a workout gym and I must say, I am thoroughly impressed with my experience so far. The staff at this gym is absolutely fantastic. They are friendly, knowledgeable, and always willing to help. From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed and supported in my fitness journey.

I joined this gym many years ago and it is by far, one of my best decisions. Evan has worked with me to keep me strong and limber as I grow older, which allows me to keep up with my grandchildren. Evan has also helped me recover from different times I've been hurt in order to keep healing but stay limber and strong. He can quickly and effectively modify workouts to help you as you ease back into a full body workout. I joined Elevate in May of 2021, post-partum and in the midst of a Covid slump. Through the Elite membership I have become stronger than I have been in years (I mean in many many years, was college really that long ago?!) and started to feel like I was part of a community. I can’t say enough good things about Elevate and the owner Evan. Elevate feels like more than just a gym, it’s a welcoming place where you want to go get your sweat on, achieve your goals, have a good laugh, and of course build some useful strength. 10/10 recommend.

If you are in the elite program, he writes a program specifically for you. I have gained so much strength in the past years and I feel great. His team programs are amazing as well. Amazing community that just happens to also be this awesome gym. The coaches are fantastic and meet each individual where they are and coach them toward thier goals. The focus is on each person's strengths both inner and physical, driving the person toward thier personal best. I should've posted this review sooner, but here we are. The fitness world can be rough, especially when trying to find the right training environment. I can say, without a doubt, that elevate has the best training community I've ever seen. Not only that, but you are guaranteed to learn something here regardless of your skill/experience. There is a clear focus on proper technique, making progress, and hitting your goals. Whether you're a novice or an experienced lifter I highly recommend Elevate. Evan is by far the best trainer I've had in my life and I've worked under some professional lifters. Do yourself a massive favor and give Elevate a try, you won't regret it.

There are so many place I could begin, but I've been a member at elevate for just over a year and my life has change dramatically physically and emotionally. I was 45 and facing a knee replacement, I couldn't get out of a chair without help, my shoulders, wrists and hip were always in pain from pushing myself up because I couldn't use my one knee. I started working with Evan who said he was up to the task to get me feeling and moving better. One year later I have lost almost 40lbs and as strong as I have ever been in my life, and I am no longer in constant pain. Evan and the folks at Elevate have coached, mentored and supported my efforts every Monday, Wednesday and Friday morning and have made my life exponentially better.

I joined Elevate because I need to be functionally strong for my job. In the time I've been at ESP I have become stronger, and because of the coaching I have also noticed less strain when working out. My form has improved greatly and I feel less prone to injury. The coaches really care about physical and mental fitness. In a multi person class you can still get one on one feedback to improve.
A great compliment to the training is the community behind ESP. Every time I am at the gym I feel welcome by the staff and members. It is a great experience and I look forward to every day I'm here.

When I came to Elevate I was 60 and broken, physically and emotionally. I was in poor shape and couldn't walk up stairs without assistance.I was miserable. It was recommended by a good friend who told me this place was like no other.They would meet me where I was at and tailor a program especially for me. I was so excited with the early results I convinced my wife to sign up.She now has a strong core of women friends that genuinely care for each other inside and outside the gym. Elevate has given me my life back. Evan's knowledge, programs,patience, and encouragement has restored my health in a way that just a year ago I didn't think was possible.For the 1st time in a over a decade I can live an active lifestyle. I invested in ME, going 3 times a week for over a year and see no end in sight. I love going. I keep getting stronger and more mobile. One of the highlights of my new life is meeting my married son twice a week for 3 mile sunrise walks. you cant put a price on that. Its truly a nice group of people who support each other in so many ways, none more evident during the Covid crisis where everybody is continuing our commitment to fitness via zoom. I joined Elevate Strength & Performance in January 2017 -- one of the best decisions I've ever made! Before I began to train, Evan performed a functional movement screen that identified a pre-existing shoulder mobility issue. Knowing that led him to tailor the training program for my shoulder issue, and he helped correct it. With training sessions no larger than 12 people, Evan and his team are able to watch and correct form, as needed. The facility is very well-equipped and absolutely spotless, and the gym community is friendly and supportive. ESP truly lives up to its Core Values every day.

Evan and his staff truly go above and beyond and are personally invested in everyone's success and cater to a range of ages and abilities. Training here is the favorite part of my day. I've been a member for 5 years and have trained consistently throughout thanks to their dedication to me and my wellness. I started going to Elevate in October of 2019. I was looking for a new gym with a method and atmosphere I liked, and this has been it! There's a focus on correct form and a process to the workouts which I really like. There is an actual method to strengthening yourself, and without injury. The atmosphere there is very positive and everyone is encouraging. I never enjoyed going to gyms before, I had to force myself to go. I've been training with Evan at Elevate Strength & Performance for just over three years, and it has been a life-changing experience. When I first joined (as Worcester Kettlebell Club), classes were small and instruction was tailored to my individual needs based on what my body was able to do at the time. I had never really had a regular fitness routine, and I was searching for something that would help me lose some weight and feel better. Over the past three years, I definitely found what I was looking for, and it has resulted in remarkable changes in both what I am able to do and how I feel. Even though the number of members at ESP has grown quite a bit in three years, the feeling is still that of a small group with outstanding individual attention. The entire coaching staff has great attention to detail, is so encouraging, and the members feel like a family. While I'm not always happy when my alarm goes off super early in the morning, I never question a single morning that I get up and go train at ESP. There are so many ways that Elevate is different from other gyms. The owner and trainers work as a cohesive unit to help you reach your goals. Joining Elevate has changed my life in more ways than I can count. In high school, I was always apart of a sports team. Therefore, I was not only accountable to myself but to those around me to show up to practice and give it my all. However, I lost that team atmosphere in college and beyond. I have again found that at this gym. Although we are working at our own goals, there is a strong sense of team and community. I want to show up for myself but for my gym family as well. As far as coaching, Evan, Mary and Brandon are exceptional.
