The only thing that is a little unfortunate about this gym is the day passes, most gyms will issue a discount if you’re obtaining a guest pass via a member however empire does not offer this. Makes it hard to bring my buddies around when it’s a $15 fee each time.

I’ve been a loyal member at empire since 2021, empire is by far the best place to train at in central MA. I wouldnt rather train anywhere else. I see Empire as a castle. Its a huge gym with everything you need. It has an outdoor gym, the main gym (with every machine possible and even a rig), a leg room, another gym with a garage gym kinda vibe (also has a rig), boxing equipment/boxing gym kinda vibe, and they added a studio for classes.
Numerous elliptic machines, rowers, skiergs, assault bikes and step climbers. The environment it’s inspiring, and everyone grinds hard. Did I mentioned the cafe? They have protein shakes, coffee, supplements and even merch. Bathrooms have showers!!! Also, open 24/7 with your key. Staff is super friendly. Give it a try, and I hope you enjoy it as much as I do every day.

The community at Empire is so welcoming. I always love visiting. The equipment is top notch, especially for leg day. If you’re looking for a clean gym in the Leominster area with quality machines, look no further. As a nurse, I often have to go to the gym early in the morning or later at night. Empire is open twenty four hours seven days a week for members, which is a necessity when working to coordinate around my schedule at the hospital.

Took Hannah Lawrence’s group class on Saturday morning and highly recommend! She was very motivational, helpful, and it was so fun! She provided modifications for every movement, making it very inclusive for all skill levels! Empire Athletics offers excellent equipment and 24-hour access, making it an ideal gym for those serious about improving themselves. The overall vibe is focused and motivating, with everyone working hard toward their goals. However, the music could use improvement, as it often consists of repetitive remixes and older songs. While the air conditioning remains subpar, the leaks in the main gym have been resolved.
Among the staff, Meg, Jill, Robby, Shad, Jocelyn, and Cass stand out for their friendliness, consistently greeting members. Unfortunately, other staff members often look up when I walk in but quickly turn away. Additionally, the social media representative in July was unprofessional in responding to my previous review, and they could benefit from better customer service skills.
Overall, Empire Fitness is still the best gym in the Leominster and Fitchburg area and is highly recommended for serious lifters.

I absolutely love this gym. I’ve been a member for just over 2 years now and I’ve seen nothing but improvements since I joined; Adding additional gym sections like a room dedicated to legs, another that has primarily compound lift equipment, and even a posing room.
The environment is broad enough that beginners and professionals can train together, the staff is friendly and never tries to sell you unnecessary things, the cafe has excellent variety and tasty drinks, and it’s the kind of place that you can’t help but recommend to your friends who are tired of planet fitness.

This gym doesn’t get enough recognition considering its 24hrs and its spacious. If it wasn’t such a drive for me I would’ve considered moving membership years ago. Staff is easygoing and provide smoothies which is a great for an after treat. There’s plenty of equipment that you need to work out. Bathrooms are clean and have bright lighting. You have your own scanner they should allow you access to the gym. Less cardio machines but this gym targets more weight training/ body building.

These guys got it right. Very convenient 24hrs. Their equipment selection is nearly unmatched. They have nearly everymachine and free weight you can think of. Up to 200lb dumbells whoever uses those. I decided that if I’m going to start my fitness journey, I want to make sure I’m doing it right so I signed up to be a client with one of the trainers, Ashlea. She is INCREDIBLE! She never makes me feel bad about myself or being a ‘rookie’ when it comes to using equipment for the first time and starting with low weights. Great location with plenty of variety when it comes to equipment. There is a large lounge/cafe/shop space. They added a new weight room mostly platforms and racks, as well as punching bags. With plans to have an outdoor area too, you may not want to miss out. The only downside I can think of is how close all the machines are in the main room, leaving little room to navigate if it's packed. Also the ceiling always seems to have a leak somewhere in the lounge area.

Empire athletics is one of the closer travel gyms we've started to visit with a good mix of about 50% power lifting space and 50% body building equipment of which we use the latter. Day passes are only $10 and a waiver form is needed each time. The gym holds social events such as PR deadlift night, collaborative gym playlists, & car shows which bring a real fun energy to the space. The body building equipment seems well maintained thus far with a long list of Hammer Strength and Vintage Cybex machines as well as many HS plate loaded options. Good options for both leg days can be found, as well as some good back equipment. I'm curious to see in the warmer months if there is a/c in the main gym area as that can be a huge comfort factor. There is a large smoothie bar, supplement shop, and nice locker room facilities here. Overall, it seems that the owners work really hard to build a sense of community here, sadly we're not close enough to join in on all the fun. We have good consistent work outs here and I'd recommend them to our fitness industry pals in their area.

When it comes to Covid requirements. i don't think the members are following protocals, as many of the members lifting weights were not wearing mask and there wasn't any social distancing. I didn't see any members cleaning the equipment after each use. Really a cool gym. Independent gyms like this are becoming harder to find with all the chain gyms around but the atmosphere, equipment, and energy, is so much better in a place like this. The owners are super friendly and very proactive about improving the gym for their members. Awesome equipment and this place is only getting better. If you're looking for a place to lift and a place that will grow with you this is it!

The VIBE in the gym definitely makes you wanna workout. It's cool that owners are always trying to add new and different equipment for the members. Not to mention the cleanliness of the place. 100% recommended anyone that wants to get a serious workout in to hit this facility.

I was hesitant to start using a gym, but then I found Empire. It's a really inviting atmosphere and I love all the great equipment. Best of all is how kind and knowledgeable the staff here is. With their help, there has not been one day that my workout hasn't reached it's full potential. Thanks for everything guys!

I've been going to many different gyms for at least 6 years. Not only does Empire have good quality equipment in a clean environment, but the owners are great people and take care of their members. Empire is one of the few 24hr gyms around and is always getting new equipment, like Rogue and Titan. Definitely a gym for everyone, plenty accommodating for bodybuilders and powerlifters as well

Clean and well equipped. The gym is more than just weights. Sleds, battle ropes. You name it, this gym has it. The owners are always present and accommodating. Great updated sound system to keep you energized. Plenty of variety for whatever your style. It’s a must see!!!

Great setup and atmosphere. If you're serious about your workout this is the place for you. The owners (Nick and Shad ) are great guys and very accommodating too.
Love that it's 24/7 so you can always find a time when it's not too crowded . Oh...and the sound system is very strong 💪, love it.
