I’ve worked out with Kyle, Kris, and Jerilyn - they’re all great at meeting you where you are at and pushing you to go a little further!
It’s exactly the kind of motivation I need - fun group setting with attentive instructors! It costs more than a regular bare-bones gym, but I personally have gotten more value and return for my money out of coming to Epoc than going to BSC

EPOC studios truly is an amazing gym. I started going in the beginning of this year and I feel stronger both physically and mentally. The trainers establish such a welcoming environment where you are able to build your confidence with each workout. The classes are small group classes focusing on both strength and conditioning to give you the best overall workout! They offer many class times for each day which has been crucial in my busy work schedule! I’ve also added seeing one of the trainers, Tatiana for individual training which has continued to improve my strength immensely! Every trainer has been fantastic and I HIGHLY recommend joining EPOC for all your workout needs!

I’ve been working out with Stew at EPOC for the past year and a half and I cannot recommend them more. I’m in the best shape of my life, I’m actually enjoying working out, (which I never would have thought!) and it’s just a really nice, friendly environment the whole staff has created. So if you’re looking to trim down, bulk up, or just get in some good exercise, look no further, EPOC is the place to go!

Epoc was phenomenal. The coaching was encouraging and very technically sound. My girlfriend and I were only visiting for a week, but all the coaches spent just as much time working with us as with any of their regular clients. Highly recommend! The training team are well-trained professionals and genuinely interested in us as individuals:
They remember all of our names; they care about past injuries and current issues and modify each exercise of the circuit for you on-the-fly, during the circuit, and yet maintain the proper feel, flow and pace of all cohorts.
They encourage, yet they don’t dote and don’t get in your grill. I’ve done Insanity, P90X, CrossFit, Dawg Squad, etc. over the years. This is an outstanding environment. Join!

I went to my first workout class at EPOC this past Saturday and had one of the best/most fun workouts I’ve ever had! The size of the classes and space work out perfectly so the class coach can keep eyes on everybody in the room to cue form and make recommendations during each station. I love that there were plenty of exercise modifications provided depending on your level of fitness or if you are working around an injury. The different exercises ensure you will be working multiple major muscle groups in a variety of different ways. I was sooore the day after but in the best way possible! Thanks Kyle for a great class! Can’t wait for the next one!

An absolute neighborhood gem!
After checking out multiple gyms in Boston, this is hands down the place if you want a well-planned program and a genuinely supportive community. It’s a small, powerhouse gym that caps sessions at 8-10 people, so you get tons of attention and direct feedback from the coaches.
The sessions are tough in the best way—targeting all the muscle groups over the week— with some great full body and cardio days mixed in there. It’s the perfect blend of a personal trainer’s expertise with the motivation of a small community that feels like family. Everyone’s friendly, rooting for each other, and it’s worlds away from the typical big gym scene.
If you want a gym that makes you look forward to your workout, this place is it.

I just started at Epoc a few months ago and am so glad I did! The sessions are well-organized, and each workout is tailored to keep us challenged yet motivated. I was visiting Boston for a few days and this gym was right down the street from where I was staying. I've been to a lot of group strength classes, watched/read a lot about form, etc - this was hands down some of the best instruction I've gotten and if I lived in Boston I would 100% get the actual membership. Kyle is very attentive and remembered me even though I only went a few times. I noticed that he would stay by certain exercises to coach people through proper form but also adjust weight for injury prevention. Sometimes in these types of classes, it feels like you're expected to 'max out' your weight or reps, but Kyle encouraged pushing my personal best while staying safe. I also felt that the class size (8) was really nice and didn't feel crowded or too empty in the space, and it was clear that there was a regular community of people that went. The actual routine was very well thought out and balanced and worked through all ranges of motion and different muscle groups - this balance is something I've been struggling with since going through PT.

We joined EPOC Studios last year and it has been a game-changer. The class size is just right, making it easy to get to know everyone and build a supportive fitness family. The instructors are top-notch, offering personalized guidance while keeping the energy high. As a 60-something guy who has never loved to work out but has always needed to, I love the EPOC Studio! Their boot camp-style classes are efficient and fun, with varied workouts each day in groups of up to about six. They are well designed with multiple stations so that the hour goes amazingly quickly. And the training team of Kris, Kyle and Tatiana are knowledgeable and supportive who give the right amount of encouragement and challenge. They and their daily programs meet everyone where they are and help get you where you want to go. And the purchase options of one-class, 10-packs or monthly passes allow you to test the waters or jump right in. EPOC has quickly become a wonderful addition to the South End neighborhood!

I started working out at Epoc a few months ago and I am so happy I found this gem of a gym in the south end. Not only everyone here is so kind and supportive, but all the coaches push you to excel on a regular bases. I have seen a lot of change in my personal health and well being since I started and i can’t be happier about it. If you are looking for a fun and judgment free group work out program that will also kick your butt and make you stronger you should join Epoc.

I recently joined EPOC studios and I really wish that I had joined earlier! The workouts are challenging but approachable for anyone at any fitness level. The coaches are great and the small class size makes it feel like you're getting a personal training experience. There is also a great sense of community with other classmates which makes it a fun environment.
I can feel myself getting stronger and in better shape every class. I love how EPOC also tracks your stats each class so you can see how you have progressed each week. The class times and sign up system make it easy to get in a routine.
I highly recommend trying a class, I guarantee it won't be your last!

EPOC studios is really the kind of place you wish you found sooner! It is truly unlike any other studio gym you may have reluctantly tried in the past. After doing other things like Crossfit, Pilates, etc for 8 years it’s a relief to find a place like EPOC!
Note: this isn’t a bootcamp/dark room rave, etc. The monthly programming is really well thought out and customizable to each individual if needed.
The coaches (Tatiana/Kyle/Kris) are very personable and professional. They clearly have experienced backgrounds because they are able to immediately tell if you are doing a movement correctly or not and break it down into simpler steps.
From what I’ve seen, people that try EPOC once or twice quickly become regular members. It’s easily the most enjoyable gym experience I’ve been a part of.
tl;dr: A+ programming, ideal location, class size, unintimidating coaches/environment, great music choices —reasons you’ll want to join and start improving asap

I’ve been consistently going to EPOC studios for a few months since moving to Boston. This gym has it all. It is excellent circuit training that combines cardio and strength training. Classes are small so coaches can focus on proper form and motivating you to push your limits. Coaches keep track of many milestones and progress. The best part of the program is the community. Due to the tone and atmosphere set by the coaches, it is a relaxed but hardworking feel. You will be sure to improve no matter your goals at EPOC!

The challenge with any sort of exercise is getting started. EPOC and its trainers make the gym / workout experience challenging yet comfortable and achievable. The sign up system and times of classes make the discipline easier and routine. The people / members in the classes become friends and part of this really neat EPOC family. Personally I need the discipline of an organized class that changes up the regimens each day. It's money well spent and a perfect place to start my day. It really is a unique place to experience ideal workout programs.

The circuit exercises are easy and fun, but you will also get a great workout. Kyle and Tatiana are easy to work with and have the perfect temperament to instruct you no matter where you are on your fitness journey. I worked out with weights in the same gym down the street for 30 years, but I was getting really bored and needed a change. The circuit exercises in rotation made me work up a sweat to a level I have never, ever experienced before. It made me wonder how effectual my previous endeavors were.
The space itself is really well done and very cool looking. The long and narrow configuration of the space concerned me at first, but it actually works really well and serves to help separate people. Kyle and Tatiana are also constantly keeping surfaces clean , which was very reassuring for me. That said a lot to me.
Boston is not an easy place to park and the South End is no exception. But EPOC is on a stretch of Washington St that almost always has an open parking meter. So traveling to EPOC by car is a fairly easy thing to do considering you’re in Boston.
If you’re in the market for a circuit/class sort of workout, I recommend you give EPOC a try.

I love this place! I've never been able to get into a routine of working out consistently or making any progress during my workouts until starting here a few months ago. Kyle, Tatiana, and Kris are very friendly and are always making sure everyone in class is comfortable, enjoying themselves, and most importantly actually getting good exercise and getting stronger. The moves are very accessible for people with any range of past experience working out. And since the groups are so small it almost feels like you're getting a personal training session each time without all the pressure of having a one-on-one personal trainer. I don't think I'll ever be able to say I "enjoy" the actual working out part but I do enjoy going to these classes, not only because I am actually seeing physical results myself but because you can tell the coaches are really invested in your progress and want to see you improve. I'd highly recommend EPOC to anyone.

I absolutely love Epoc Studios! Kyle and Chris are amazing coaches and the atmosphere is both fun and supportive. My husband and I are in our 60s and we are healthy and fit, but we really appreciate the attentiveness around our prior back and shoulder issues while being encouraged to push ourselves to next level strength and fitness. There is tremendous camaraderie amongst all the people young and “less young” who attend the classes. Check it out - you will love it!

Epoc has been a phenomenal addition to the South End. Innovative workouts in small group training sessions that give you the perfect balance of individualized attention (they are sticklers for good form!) and the social/competitive aspects of a being in a group gym setting. I joined Epoc in mid-November. Within a month, I came to regard the trainers, fellow classmates, and intense workouts as the highlight of my day.
I used to be intimidated by HIIT/strength-training exercises, but the team at Epoc develops and coaches a dynamic program that's both challenging and motivating for all skill and experience levels. You're held accountable in a supportive and encouraging way.
One of my favorite aspects of Epoc is the utilization of personal fitness data. Tatiana, Kyle, and Kris keep track of your weight and rep progressions throughout the 4-week programs. Additionally, heart-rate monitors are available to borrow or purchase. I love receiving my End of Class Summary email with my workout results including, but not limited to, my avg/max hr, calories, and total workout time for the month.
At Epoc, you can fully expect results by way of a stronger self and stronger sense of community. Do yourself a favor and book a class!

The best fitness studio I’ve ever been too. The owners do an excellent job of structuring their workouts every day. Since joining I’ve gotten much stronger, leaner, and healthier. The classes have a personal training vibe to them due to a max of 6 participants. You’re getting individual attention on form, and getting pushed to improve while being surrounded by your gym partners that adds accountability and a bit of fun competition. The addition of a heart rate monitor is excellent, it’s great to see your heart rate zones and knowing you just burned 957 calories in 56 minutes (my stats today) is a wonderful feeling of accomplishment. Come to EPOC, you’ll love it!

I cannot recommend EPOC highly enough!! Best gym and classes I've been to since moving to Boston ~2 years ago.
The classes at this gym are incredible quality - fantastic trainers, well designed workouts, and a variety of exercises. EPOC's founders lead all of the classes, and are invested in member growth. They help you set your fitness goals and track your progress week-to-week to see how you're meeting them! I joined with the goal of rounding out my workouts (I was primarily a runner), and through EPOC, have seen my mile times and overall stamina improve significantly.
The gym is also just a fun and super supportive environment. Unlike other classes I've been to, there's nothing intimidating about EPOC. The community here rocks, and the trainers work with you to help tailor exercises to your skill, comfort, and experience level, so literally anyone can have an awesome workout here. Highly recommend checking this gym out.

Have been taking classes at Epoc since last summer and can't say enough good things about my experience. The classes are a great workout and make me push myself in a way that I just don't when working out on my own. A good mix of strength training and cardio. Most importantly, the Epoc Team (Kyle, Tatania, and Kris) are knowledgeable, give you individual attention, and make class challenging but always fun. Highly recommend.

The team at EPOC are amazing! The small class size and constant personal attention is really great. There is no time to slack, and if you try there’s someone over your shoulder making sure you finish strong. The structure of the classes makes it really easy to see your progression and keeps things interesting. If you have an injury or haven’t worked out in years everything is adaptable and makes the intimidation factor non existent. Can’t say enough good things, you won’t regret stopping by.

Look at the length and quality of reviews; this place is awesome. I am so glad I was referred to Epoc, as it's been perfect for my fitness goals.
The classes are small (6p max) and covid-conscious. The ~45m workout is demanding, but the format (Three 4-stage circuits with three reps each stage; 40s on/20s off each stage. 3x12m/circuit + warmup/cooldown totals ~45m) keeps it interesting and engaging. There's a different focus each day of the week (Wed upper+core, Sat full body unilateral, etc) and the exercises change every month to keep things fresh - as soon as you feel you've mastered a circuit, they change things up. I usually get bored easily at the gym; Epoc has provided the most engaging workouts I've seen in a group setting and that's a big part of the appeal!
The trainers are wonderful and take the time to understand your individual goals & limitations then coach to them for a personalized workout; you get the level of attention that you want (they’re very receptive – just tell them what you want, and what you don't want!) tailored to the areas that you want (form, cardio focus, strength focus, etc). The clientele has also been amazing to meet and work with.
My time at Epoc has been a highlight of 2021 for me: Great workouts with tangible results, fantastic and caring trainers, and great classmates. Highly recommend!

I was introduced to this Studio through one of the owners, Kris. I had worked with him for a while doing one-on-one personal training. After taking a hiatus for a while, Kris reached out to let me know about Epoc Studios. Since I had been doing 1:1 training for so long, I was admittedly a little skeptical about how much I would like (and thrive) in a group workout setting. As it turns out, great! The studio is always clean and in order. For everything you get in exchange, the membership cost is a steal! The workouts are always challenging and interesting--which was a really important criteria for me because i tend to get bored easily. The circuits are easy to understand too--there is a visual example displayed on a tv that is backed-up by the verbal instruction of the trainers, reinforcing how to do the techniques correctly. The groups are small--4 or 5 max. The studio space is small, but I never feel crowded and the equipment is laid out smartly to maximize space and create efficiency between movements. I have been working out there for a bit now and I thoroughly enjoy it. In addition to having plenty of convenient workout times, I've gotten to workout with people of all ages and workout backgrounds (everyone from beginners to intermediate to maybe those that might consider themselves athletes). My favorite part though, are the trainers. I've had a chance to take a class with all three of them separately and I can't say enough good things about them as a group and individually. They are so positive, supportive, encouraging and knowledgeable. They really meet you where you are in your workout journey and are committed to helping you meet your short and long term goals. No matter what you want to accomplish (weight loss, increased strength, building muscle), you can trust that you will achieve it with this team.

Epoc’s full body strength and conditioning classes allow all fitness levels to train and workout together, while offering options for those who want to focus on conditioning vs. gaining muscle. Tatiana and Kyle are incredibly supportive and an encyclopedia of exercise, nutrition, and wellness knowledge. Their class sizes are small, so you get a lot of personal attention and feedback. Their covid prevention efforts are super diligent - spacing and dividers between each machine, sanitized machines, and the participants in class are extremely aware of each other.
