I had only positive experiences during my time at EverFitness. This gym is a fantastic, lowkey local spot—it has an authentic, slightly rugged charm that I found refreshing and motivating. While it may not look like a shiny, generic chain, the equipment is well-maintained and everything was in perfect conditioning (minus the sauna, which was out of service, but that was a minor detail).
The vibe is great, and the location is super convenient with the other shops and businesses nearby. What really stood out was the staff. They are incredibly chill and helpful, creating a welcoming and encouraging atmosphere. They were fantastic to deal with, even when I had to cancel due to moving out of state—they handled the situation with kindness and professionalism. A huge plus is the dedicated women-only area; my girlfriend absolutely loved having that option. If you’re looking for a no-fuss, community-focused gym with excellent people, I highly recommend EverFitness. Five stars for a great facility and even better customer service

I really like this gym! The equipment is solid and I love that they have a womens only room—it makes it feel way less crowded during peak hours. I’m giving 4 stars just because some of the staff aren’t the friendliest, but overall it’s a great gym and I’d definitely recommend it. Only thing I’d suggest is adding more dumbbells and keeping the racks more organized—it can be annoying to find what you need sometimes

Moved to Somerville recently with my fiancé. We got a family membership so we saved a good amount of money. We both love it. She loves the women’s only section. There are so many different machine and dumbbell go up 120lbs. Lots of room even at the most crowded times you still can get a great workout in. Can’t speak more highly of this Ever Fitness! The gym has everything you need, whether you’re new in your fitness journey or are a seasoned athlete. On top of a well-equipped gym, Ever Fitness truly promotes a well rounded health & wellness lifestyle through its amenities, which include a sauna!

The staff really go above and beyond to create a safe, friendly and welcoming environment for all. Not too long ago I had to weigh in for a weight lifting competition and needed to use the sauna at an odd/early time. The front desk staff were so proactive and helpful to make sure I had everything I needed in order to be successful.

Left a bad review a few weeks ago due to the lack of AC use and excess smell and humidity in the gym. They called me and asked to remove the review and explained that they would do better. Nothing has changed, the front section of the AC is in fan mode only. The moment you step into the gym it smells sweat and humid. Will give it a few more weeks but will likely cancel my membership if this very basic part of the service is missing.

I was pleasantly surprised by the facilities, pricing, and kindness of the staff when moving to Cambridge and joining Ever Fitness. The facilities has all the equipment I need for lifting weights and also a good sized locker room and showers. Staff made signing up easy and has always been kind when walking in. Gym community is also friendly, warm and welcoming here. Plenty of benches, free weights, treadmills, and updated equipment. It never feels too packed whether I come in the morning, mid day, or evening. The pricing is also the best I could find in Cambrdige. Highly recommend.

I’ve been a member for a little over two years and I love this place. Ownership has put a lot of effort into updating the machines/Free weights over the past year or so, and it shows. Prices are cheap for the value and just in general (especially considering it’s in greater Boston area) plus you get one free guest pass every time you visit so you can bring a friend for the same price. People/management are friendly and welcoming. You have a wide variety of beginners to advanced lifters, so there’s room for everyone. Lots of cardio equipment, never a wait. There’s a women only section which can be a big plus to some (not me, but worth mentioning). It is located mostly underground, but they keep it so well lit that you never feel claustrophobic. The only downside is the space is packed with equipment, so it can get tight sometimes during peak hours, but generally there’s never a wait for a bench or dumbbells. Plenty of parking given it’s in a plaza, and easy to get to from the Lechmere stop. Would highly recommend for anyone looking for a gym in the Cambridge/Sommerville area

I've been going to this place for a while and considered them about on par with BSC, but better value because they have a deal that allows you to bring one friend to the gym whenever you want. However they just replaced their rickety ass hip adduction/abduction machine with a brand new one and I don't recall BSC ever doing that. So now they're objectively better. Props!

There was a short period where the treadmills would be turned off well before closing, but after putting in a complaint the owner actually called me specifically to tell me that that will no longer happen. That's awesome! Other than that one issue I don't have any other problems with the gym. So, 5 stars!

Ever Fitness is truly one of the best Gyms located in the Somerville/Cambridge area. Despite that, the facility has everything one would need to get a killer workout, and the staff and management are very kind and friendly! The latter transforms the experience into enjoyable and motivating to go there every day -- without hesitation -- even at 5:45 am. Moreover, the equipment is consistently clean. This gym is outdated and unsanitary. The bathrooms are disgusting. The machines are all from the 90's and have paint chips falling off. I'm fairly certain they don't even have cleaners that come in. They also refused to put the AC on until like mid July. Do not sign up if you want a nice gym. The owner clearly doesn't care about this place one bit. Also, the Men's sauna has been broken for over a year. They lied to me when I signed up saying they had an appointment to fix it. Never happened, and other members told me that's what they tell people so they sign up. Gross. What a disappointment. They should be ashamed of this place.

I’ve been coming to this gym for years and they have always been welcoming. The owner is active at the gym and frequently makes changes to upgrade the equipment or modernize the gym. The owner is also very friendly and the staff is helpful. There are people of all ages there that are social and friendly.
Over the years I’ve been able to take advantage of all parts of the gym from the free weights, to the machine sections and new legs machines, the cardio section, and even the open area with room for stretching and other exercises. I have been able to get stronger and more athletic with all the equipment here and benefit greatly.

Went with my daughter to check out the gym we were looking for a gym in the area as weade it to the front desk and were greeted by one of the gym staff we asked for a day pass as and he went along and started the process looking into the system he said "I see u might have taken out a pass before" my daughter said to him I don't understand this is my first time here she said maybe I came in and never used it while they were having that conversation another gym staff comes along and gets into our conversation not knowing that we were going to get a membership he said to my daughter "looks like u already used the day pass " my daughter starts to explain to him that she might of signed up but never used it and he said to her "well then who did a ghost" my daughter tried explaining the situation but in a rude tone he once again says "did a ghost break into your. Went in asking for a day pass to test the gym with every intention of signing up on the way out.. Front desk said I signed up for the day pass a year ago (Which I probably did just never went) so I couldn’t get another one then proceeded to make a whole bunch of ignorant remarks before I could ask for a tour at least.. Such a great gym with incredibly friendly and helpful staff.
It has a sauna which is great to use after sessions.
Also includes a fully kitted women's ONLY gym section which is such a unique wonderful experience for women who feel intimidated or uncomfortable in a shared mixed gender gym environment.
Would highly recommend.
Don't know why I didn't join this gym sooner.

Gym membership packages are super affordable and competitive to all other gyms.
Definitely convinced and joining this gym as a full year member after my short travels away the next few weeks.

Great gym, especially for the price. Their hours are great and Felix, Jose, Eli, and Jonas and the rest of the staff are always friendly and welcoming and have their own rapport with each member. The gym has all the basic equipment you could need to get a solid workout in and is constantly trying to improve. I tried out numerous gyms in the area (BSC, Equinox, GymIt, Crunch, etc.) and Ever Fitness was the best bang for my buck. Not overpriced and great location. If you're looking for a place you can go and workout on your own without all the unnecessary flare, cant recommend this place enough.

I love this gym! Great community of people, friendly staff, people tend to rerack their weights and have good etiquette. There's free parking and the price is unbeatable for the Boston area. It can get very hot in the summer and very cold in the winter but other than that 5 stars!

I've been going here for years -- since before it was EverFitness and was a Gold's Gym -- and this is hands-down the best gym in the area. There's tons of equipment, which is always well maintained, and the place is kept very clean, temperature controlled, and Jonas and his management team are always professional, helpful, and friendly. Plenty of storage areas, bathroom/shower facilities, and there are nearby related amenities (PT, tanning, etc.) in the complex. Clientelle are there to work out and they're serious about it (but also wicked nice); you won't find a billion idiots with their iPhones on tripods set up on the floor filiming themselves flexing or trying to get video content for TikTok, or shaming others for using equipment incorrectly (if anything, others will possibly approach and ask if you'd like some help). The EverFitness in New Bedford is every bit as good, but if you're in the Somerville/Cambridge/Charlestown area, the Twin City location is the place to go.

Everyone that works here at the Ever Fitness Gym is pleasant and happy to help when needed. Best of all they always greet their clients with a smile and are very respectful to everyone.

The gym is clean, and the atmosphere is comfortable. Also, there is a woman only section which is great, but the females can work out in any part of the gym, they have personal trainers that will answer questions and give great suggestions.

It is hard to describe how great the gym and the people that work here are, you should join and experience the Ever Fitness Gym for yourself I have been here 16 years.
