This Pilates studio has literally saved my life. They really know how to help people in chronic pain in ways that other studios and many physical therapists I’ve worked with just don’t know. They are especially helpful for those of us who are hypermobile. They take their work and expertise incredibly seriously and they have a better understanding of the body than many doctors and pts I’ve worked with. I feel super safe in their hands and have worked with both Brittany and Kirsten- who are really amazing, attentive, thoughtful, smart and feel like great partners to have along your journey. The practitioners know from personal experience what it’s like to recover from chronic pain. I have found nothing like this studio.

Every Body Pilates is the cornerstone of all that keeps me sane, healthy and active. Over the past couple of years I have built strength and stamina that helps me do both the basics in life (load the dishwasher!) and the fun stuff (get in and out of a kayak gracefully!). Thanks Dylan and team, appreciate you!

I am a 70 year old man and a card-carrying pilates skeptic. To me, it always fell into the "woo woo" category, like hot yoga. But I have significant deterioration of the cartilage at the base of my spine and I'd do almost anything to relieve the pain. So I made an appointment with Kirstin at Every Body Pilates. That was about six months ago. Last week I told my orthopedic surgeon that I didn't think I'd need surgery. I am mobile, not pain-free but dramatically more comfortable, and I've lost 15 pounds. I still feel ridiculous writhing around in my tights, but I am here to testify: this really works!

I’ve been attending classes at Every Body Pilates since May 2022. EB Pilates is unlike any exercise I’ve tried. I prefer it to lifting weights, yoga, ballet, etc. I feel like the exercises and movements have made my body stronger *inside*. I have more flexibility in my hips and feet, my shoulders hurt less, I slouch less and am more aware of how I am using my body. I began with in-home video practice and private lessons with Brittany, eventually graduating to group classes. I now take group classes 1-2 times/week, led by both Brittany and Shannon. I also graduated from the video lessons and continue to do the in-home exercises 5-7 days/week. They do not take much time and I feel the difference on the days I am too busy to do them. The studio is clean, calm and is filled with many reformers and props. The primary focus seems to be learning the movements properly, without pain, using props and modifications as needed. I’d taken pilates elsewhere and the exercises were not really explained, it seemed about how many reps or how many ‘hundreds’ you could do. My back always felt tweaky afterwards. Here, I never feel rushed and instructions are given in a clear, calm manner. I was nervous about using the reformers but now look forward to using them during class. Group classes feel very supportive, there is no competitiveness and people move at their own pace. I highly recommend the studio and encourage you to give them a try.

Wow, I didn’t think I’d ever have the spine flexibility I got back from working with Kirstin and her team at Everybody Pilates. They are so real and down to earth, focused on your actual body versus all those fakey Pilates studios that are just traditional fitness studios jumping on the bandwagon of Pilates’ popularity. If you know what real pilates is— integrated healing movement— this studio is where you’ll find a home.

What a fantastic workout at Everbody Pilates! After learning the correct ways to perform the exercises, I was able to join classes and become stronger. After about 4 months I noticed a change- my hips no longer ached, I was sleeping better and I was able to easily carry heavy items. After almost 4 years I’m in the best shape of my life! As with anything it takes patience and practice.

All the teachers at Everybody Pilates are incredibly knowledgeable and Kirstin the owner has set up a warm, welcoming studio and online environment. The classes are SO GOOD and the teachers are all able to adjust for the students needs and abilities.

I can’t wait for class Wednesday night!

I really wanted to love this place. I do think it is perfect for someone who is new to or just getting back into exercise as they are very attentive to their clients. However, it didn't work for my husband and myself, who despite being a little overweight exercise frequently. The studio proceeded very cautiously with us. We were told that we needed to learn all the moves before we could do anything that would even slightly challenge us. The problem is that the exercises were expensive and took time. And by doing them we weren't doing other exercises that really do challenge us (in our case yoga). After 7 "introductory" lessons with still no plan to get us to a point where we would have even mild muscle fatigue we decided it wasn't worth it.

I joined EBP 2 years ago after a chiropractor recommended Pilates as way to get more consistent movement in my fitness routine. For the first year and a half, I enjoyed both private and group classes in the studio and transitioned to online during the pandemic. I enjoyed working with different instructors to learn how to use different muscle groups, but it wasn’t until last fall when my schedule changed, and required more private sessions to accomplish my goals, that I started working with Stephanie. One thing that immediately stood out (and remains for me, the piece that sets her apart) is her level of feedback and cheerleader/enthusiasm for me. She remains incredibly engaged (over Zoom) throughout each session to the point where family members overhear her and suggest we need her around full-time! To the level of progress, she helped to drive, for the first time in more than 4 decades, I have muscle definition in my upper body, and endurance that allows me to run (again, a novel concept for me). She does an amazing job to explain the “why” and is patient with me when I need to digest a particularly challenging move. Stephanie has taken me well outside my comfort zone but this shift over the past 8 months with Stephanie has been the most comforting move I have made in quite some time.

I have been taking pilates classes at EBP for about 4 years now. Prior to the pandemic, all classes were in person. When the pandemic hit, they seamlessly pivoted to virtual classes. I was amazed at how much the teachers can still see, teach and queue over the computer. I was also amazed at how versatile mat can be, and what a full pilates experience I could get via a virtual mat class. I am also lucky and have a chair at home. EBP offered virtual privates and duets which allowed me to continue my chair practice weekly.

Now that the studio has reopened, it is wonderful to get back into class and on the reformer. I am amazed at how thorough and thoughtful EBP is regarding COVID protocols. Limiting class sizes, limiting studio access, and equipment cleaning is all top notch. I’ve felt very safe ever since coming back into the studio and loved getting reacquainted with more of the equipment. What was fascinating is how much 6ish months of mat helped my reformer work. They are also still doing a mix of virtual and in person classes, so it has been great to be able to continue that mix on my end.

I also would be remiss to not mention the instructors. They are all top notch. Each on brings a wealth of knowledge that provides for a very rich class. I also have worked through some sports injuries and EBP helped me recover from those injuries, which further speaks to the versatility of their teachers.

So all in all, I highly recommend Every Body Pilates.

I cannot recommend EBP enough! Almost 2 years ago, I walked into EBP as a last ditch effort to help resolve my debilitating back & neck pain. The pain was so bad that I was on bedrest for the majority of my pregnancy & quite a while postpartum as well. I had tried literally everything (physical therapy, chiropractor, acupuncture, massage therapy etc.) to fix my chronic pain but nothing worked. I never thought that pilates would work but I was so wrong & I wish I tried it sooner. Within about 9 months of attending class roughly 2x a week & one private lesson with Lauren a week my back & neck pain were completely gone. I was even able to carry my 2 year old a zillion miles around Disney World without any issues. The virtual classes & private lessons are FABULOUS and have kept me sane during the pandemic.

I cannot say enough about how amazing the teachers are. Lauren has helped me work on my form, strengthen my weaker side and better engage my core during each move. She even comes up with clever phrases and visualizations to help me remember how to keep proper form. Claire always keeps her classes interesting by constantly switching up the flow. I love that Kirsten has come up with modifications for the moves to help those of us with chronic pain to ease into the movements. Laura is new to EBP but you can tell that she knows exactly what she is doing. I have been taking her Tuesday night class for about 2 months now and I have gotten so much stronger. Do not sleep on her classes or private lessons!

My experience with Every Body Pilates in Belmont has been outstanding. Their platform and instructors are top notch.  Highly trained, skilled and knowledgeable. I had my initial consult with Kirsten the owner, and have been working with instructor Dylan remotely in conjunction with EBP's online learning platform. Dylan is amazing!  She's incredibly skilled at what she does; possessing an in-depth knowledge of body mechanics that rivals any physical therapist.  Dylan is patient, understanding, and has a great way of keeping me on track. She completely understands my issues and goals. She has a strategy up her sleeve to help me through any challenge I encounter.  I completely trust all of her guidance and have seen remarkable results in a short period of time.  I find sessions reasonably priced for the quality of what's being delivered and so far have done everything virtually. I'm diligent about doing the work in between sessions with the support of an absolutely amazing video platform.  Can't say enough about this practice.  Only wish I had started sooner...

I was referred to Every Body Pilates by my TOS doctor in Boston.  I started taking private Zoom classes with Kirstin in the spring of 2020 during the height of Covid.  At that point, I was in a lot of pain and so stiff that I had trouble doing the most basic Pilates moves and household activities.  (I took Pilates classes for several years before my injury at different studios, but I do not believe any prior Pilates experience is necessary to benefit from the Zoom classes.)  I initially had a neck injury and TOS that went undiagnosed for over a year, and this wreaked havoc on my entire body.  Kirstin has been working around my limitations, so I can both gain back my strength and flexibility.  It has almost been a year since I began taking the Pain Pathways program, and the improvements have been immense.  The alignment problems and subsequent pain and stiffness that I developed after the initial injuries have greatly improved, and I am better able to move around without pain.  I am still working on improving the TOS symptoms with Kirstin and my PT, but most of the other pain and stiffness throughout my body have been eliminated.  I am so happy that I found Every Body Pilates.

I’ve been practicing Pilates at Everybody Pilates for a bit over five years now. After making a cross country move it’s become my workout home. The outstanding, professional instructors are beyond reproach. Kirsten ( owner) was at the forefront of virtual teaching and rose to the challenge of keeping classes live in our homes during this crazy Covid year. I can’t wait to get back to studio reformers and most of all, reconnecting with the many workout buddies and instructors I’ve come to call my friends!

More than just a pilates studio, my instructor, Leslie, takes the time and care to focus on the "adjustment" needs and capabilities of each individual student. As someone beginning to actively age, I feel lucky to benefit from her upbeat instruction and the small classes because this has truly improved my endurance, balance, coordination and sense of well-being. This studio knows exactly how to keep us moving safely .

Working with Kirsten every week since Covid began has been incredible. After being evaluated for thoracic outlet syndrome, my doctor recommended that I try Kirsten's TOS-specific program to see if I could avoid surgery. Pilates actually works. It's just as effective with video lessons and Zoom meetings, and this is the first time in my entire life that I've had an exercise routine that I can do daily, no matter how I'm feeling or what part of my body is flaring. Because of chronic pain, I used to need several days to recover after exercising, so I could never develop a consistent routine. After two car accidents and surgeries that left me totally deconditioned, Kirsten was able to work with and around my limitations like they weren't even there. Now I'm riding my bike and my body actually wants to try running. In case you couldn't tell, I highly recommend Kirsten and Every Body Pilates.

I have been going to EBP for over 3 years and highly recommend the studio and entire staff. 100% credit for EBP of my physical transformation so far. Initially signed up to work on developing my core and increasing my flexibility. Amazing courses / instructors that truly understand body mechanics along with tailoring to each clients needs. Immediately transitioned last year to offer virtual courses that allowed me to continue to work on body / mind and now being able resume smaller in person classes that follow all safety protocols has been amazing. Whether you are beginner or advanced, you will always find and learn new techniques from each class and instructor. Claire always keeps each class different. Stephanie is great with emphasis on the pilates fundamentals. Laura will definitely get your heart pumping.

This is long, and I apologize: I've been a client of Every Body Pilates for at least 11 years that I know of, and I say that b/c I started out booking with them when I used a Palm Pilot (look it up, children!) and can't track my start date. What I know for sure is that these women, every last one of them, know their stuff. I started way-back-when with horrible plantar fasciitis. I couldn't stand for more than a couple minutes without extreme pain. My kind and patient instructors guided me through workouts, lying down, worked me back to strength and confidence in standing, then running, lifting, etc. again. I loved the way I felt and I continued for years in group sessions and privates. I took a small time-out but recently returned to try their new-to-me Pain Pathways program - I'd been disabled with chronic back pain for several months. Had a disability hang-tag for my car, was unable to do all the active things I loved. I was crushed and had "tried everything."

Fast forward 5 months to this week. I started prepping to do kettlebell swings again. I've been deadlifting and pressing and running intervals and spinning for a few weeks now. Stephanie is my instructor - she's taken me on this ride and has literally CHANGED MY LIFE. It's not hyperbole, it's reality, and anyone with chronic, disabling pain knows how demoralizing, depressing and limiting it can be. To be shown a way out of that hole is, well, just incredible. It was a slow process - at times much slower than I EVER would've taken it on my own. But I had trust in Stephanie and her approach and my gosh, it's worked!! Stephanie has taken so much care to learn about me, my body. She listens to my feedback. She is whip-smart but nurturing. She is one of my biggest cheerleaders and has also comforted me when I've had setbacks. She's helped me retrain my mind and my body to understand that movement can be safe again. And now she's guiding me along the path further, from "safe" to "joyful" - paving the way to the freedom to just "do what I want to do when I want to do it" again. It's fantastic.

I'd also like to note that this place has always been a place for Every Body. The diversity of clientele has always made me so happy and comfortable. This is the place for you, no matter what your shape, color, or orientation. No matter how bendy. No matter how tricked out your workout gear: Wear your favorite holey tee or your deluxe Lulu garb. Bring your cane. Slip off your $200 running shoes. There are no molds to fit into. Settle in and open up your mind because you will learn new things, meet some wonderful people, and best yet, feel great in YOUR body.

Everybody Pilates is doing amazing work. I can’t say enough good things about my instructor Stephanie! She has helped me improve my body and by association, my life. I have thoracic outlet syndrome and lived for years with chronic pains. Since beginning work with Stephanie, my body has become significantly more stable & i now have tools to manage those chronic pains. So thank you to Everybody Pilates and especially Stephanie for helping me find my body power! 💖

I have been going to EBP for over 15 years and have worked with many of their teachers during that time, including my current teachers, Claire and Kirstin. They are all remarkably knowledgeable and dedicated to your body and how to help you understand it and work with it to be your best. In addition to the core discipline of Pilates, they bring many other disciplines to the studio to help each client pursue a combination that is best for that client. I love the addition of Personal Trainers, including Lisette, who is making me feel stronger than this over 60 body has felt in years.

For the last few years running has been a challenge with knee pain. A busy work schedule in addition to knee pain put a damper on my exercise routine. Having weekly Personal Training privates with Lisette I am finally back on track, regularly running pain-free and feeling great! Lisette is the best and really knows how to challenge you while paying attention to form and proper function.

Every Body Pilates is a light and open studio which feels welcoming. When I started two years ago, I worked with different instructors. Now I’m working with Claire but all the instructors have been encouraging and knowledgeable.

At the beginning of each session, Claire asks how I’m doing, listens to my answer, and structures our session to meet my needs. When I bring up a concern from the week, she includes exercises for it. We’ve developed a home routine that I don’t miss because I’ve found it helpful. As someone who has not exercised consistently in life, I’m amazed and pleased with the results.

My experience leads me to strongly recommend Every Body Pilates!

This is such a wonderful, bright studio with the most welcoming and caring staff. They are expert at working with each individual's needs and body movement. After spending many years running long distances, my body had some specific areas that were limiting my ability to do certain things, and now with Pilates as part of my regular week, I can move pain free and I am actually running again. I have loved this place so much I actually considered getting certified (through them!) as a Pilates teacher. Love them!

I am so grateful that I found this studio. I had a serious back injury 20 years ago and ever since have been so cautious and timid about doing anything that might hurt it again -- to the point where I've not kept my body strong. Until now! Everyone I've worked with in the studio has been conscientious and understanding about my concerns, and I'm learning how to safely become strong again. The whole studio has a welcoming, come-as-you-are vibe and to top it all off, it's a gorgeous, clean space. Can't recommend it enough.
