Not even karate. I sent my kid here for a day to try it out, all the instructor did was talk about books and a poster board. Thankfully it's free for a few weeks. But it doesn't end there, I don't even think he has credentials in karate only good for teaching kids with special needs which is still great.

Building family bonds, sharing a common interest, and getting fit while learning a new skill with my child is a gift. There is so much positivity and encouragement when you walk through the door, and your daily sense of accomplishment when class is through just feels amazing. Mr. Jeff and his family are wonderful teachers and his leadership program is impressive. My full family is having class there. This is an awesome place to learn Martial Arts. All the teachers are excellent and take the class with good care with little kids. My 4 year old is hard control and I am really grateful to all the teachers who helped him to be focused and learn the steps….I strongly recommend this place for kids of all ages and abilities and of course for the parents too…!!!!

FMAC has been awesome. We started with my son, who took Jeff's teaching style immediately, and I joined almost immediately afterwards. We've been going for a year and it's terrific to see how the kids (some as young as 4-5 yrs old) learn to take small leadership positions and grow as individuals. This is a martial arts school and they take holistic approaches to training leaders.

Our journey at Family Martial Arts started a few years ago when we were looking for another active outlet for our middle son. Before we knew it, the entire family was participating and growing, not only in the studio but outside as well. The atmosphere is friendly and encouraging, my three children (and my husband) enjoy participating and have gained both strength and confidence. My 6-year-old son and I love going to class with Mr. Jeff and other families. Jeff is an amazing teacher, showing kids (and adults) the principles of black belt: modesty, integrity, perseverance, self-control, and indomitable spirit. My son has difficulty with focus and hyperactivity, but went from almost zero participation to full engagement and earning a new belt, stripes, and a medal in just a few months. The lessons we learn in class flow over to our daily lives in such a positive way. Also, shout out to Mr. Jeff’s kids who help in class too and make it fun for us all!

Mr. Jeff is a wonderful , kind, professional and patient human being that not only helped my daughter with her frustrations but also helped my husband. My husband just went in once to try a class and now he goes every week and even does some of the special events that Mr. Jeff holds with other amazing martial arts professionals. Both my kids did his camp over the summer too and loved it ! When I attended the first class with my son and niece, I had no intention of joining in. I was there to watch and get fourth five minutes of peace while Mr. Jeff taught his class. As the class went on I caught myself trying to join in and help my son with the forms. At the end of class Mr. Jeff handed me a Gi, I was a bit surprised because I had no intentions of joining class, but the man handed me a Gi, so now I couldn’t refuse. The look of enthusiasm on my son and niece’s faces was priceless. I could not refuse.
The next class I was in formal attire and standing at my mark of tape of the mats right along with them and loving every moment. Not only does Mr. Jeff make learning fun for my children but also for me, a thirty-seven year old woman.
Now, Mr. Jeff’s class , twice a week has become one of our most treasured and favorite things to do as a family. We get to spend time together learning the art of Kenpō and also the art of finding the indomitable spirt in ourselves. Thank you Mr. Jeff. We love your class so very much.

I have known Jeff for the last few years, first as my yoga instructor and most recently, I participated with Jeff's summer martial arts program where we discussed respect for each other as well as our animal friends. Not only have I seen Mr. Jeff train students in martial arts, I have seen him transform them into kids that hone modesty, discipline, self control, and indomitable spirit. He has a way with teaching students that makes it so he's not just their instructor but also an adult that they look up to and can talk about anything with. The center provides everything a parent is looking for! I was always hesitant when It came to discipline, structured, routine with my kids and I found just that with MR. JEFFS FAMILY MARTIAL ARTS. I EVEN ENROLLED MY 4 YEAR OLD! She's my tough cookie!

I love the car conversations of my 7 year old being excited to earn his stripes, or seeing/ going to Mr. Jeff! Better than thise Fortnite, Minecraft talks for sure! It helps me learn more about my child, his needs and what I need to do as a parent. He's reading, helping without being told and learning the right words to use. Most of all hes showing his sister the same.

Mr. Jeff is patient, humble and kind. I see such a friendly atmosphere! My sister can't wait to get her daughter in there and she's not even 2!

Our daughter was able to join their leadership camp this summer and we saw growth and maturity the very first day. She was challenged to do her best and Mr Jeff’s calm but firm leadership helped her see her potential. She has become more confident on the mat, at home, and at school. We have been working on different therapy options for behaviors but we saw more success in one summer than we had in over a year of therapy. We are thankful for the confidence our daughter has gained and Mr Jeff’s guidance in the process!

Mr. Jeff’s family martial arts center is a special place for our family. Our eight-year-old son started the day program last year, due to remote learning requirements, and loves every minute he spends there. Mr Jeff or his staff member supervises and supports our son during remote classes and also have mini martial arts practice sessions throughout the day. They encourage appropriate socialization, communication and independence everyday. Our son also attends evening martial arts classes 2 or 3 days a week. He is a beginner and never did classes before this year. But he was instantly calmed by Jeff’s presence and has made noted progress with his skills and goals. We are proud to call Mr. Jeff our friend and are grateful to him for providing a “home away from home” for our son.

Mr. Jeff is amazing, we cannot say enough good things about him! During a time where we had no idea how we would manage working full time and providing our son with a quality education, Mr. Jeff started a program to make this possible. Our son has not only learned core skills in Martial Arts, but I have noticed his entire demeanor has changed at home. He is more confident, more disciplined and has a stronger sense of self control. He even ASKS how he can help around the house (we can thank AKLA for this)! Mr. Jeff has shown calm, but firm reinforcement for our son.
