Gym is pretty clean, however the amount of machines that are out of order is unacceptable. Week over week many of the same machines are still out of order. Several treadmills, stair masters and weight machines.
I’ve also tried to use many of different pieces of equipment in the CrossFit room such as the medicine balls and many are all flat and or old.
I would think for a gym that is as busy as it is in addition to having advertisements about how many members are in / out of the gym the equipment would constantly be fresh, upgraded and working as intended. I’ve even noticed that some of the weight machines are old planet fitness machines with the purple paint removed.
Men’s steam room has been out of order for over a year now as well. Who knows maybe they have no intentions of fixing it.
I give this gym 3 stars mostly for location, cleanliness otherwise it’s failing in most other categories for me.

I don't understand why they can't just lock up the weights in the ffit room instead of closing the whole room off if they closed it due to stealing. I do my workouts in the yoga room which clearly other people have been too as it stinks in there and the ventilation is poor.

Crossfit area is excellent, the gym is clean and the staff is nice. It’s never too crowded. Plenty of parking and easily accessible. Overall it’s a great gym!
The reason I couldn’t do the full 5 stars is the quality and maintenance of equipment. I understand how difficult the upkeep is, but for a local chain this shouldn’t be a problem as much as it is. Most treadmills are capable of 12mph but they refuse to reach it due to poor belt drive and overall condition of the treadmills and none of them are super level which only true runners would notice. The stairmasters also struggle when you do the max level 20. Certain bars are so bent they’re pretty much unusable and borderline dangerous (I was benching and tweaked my wrist because of this and no I am not stupid I’m a seasoned lifter).

I joined the gym a year ago because of the Functional Training classes. We had a very special 5am crew. But first, they cut classes, now, they just canceled the whole program without notice. We kept working out on our own, but eventually, they removed all the equipment and pushed us out. I canceled my membership. Not worth it. All the other classes are always overbooked within seconds, the equipment always broken, and the gym always dirty and smelly. The management very disrespectful. I don’t recommend this gym.

I joined fit factory back in 2018 and I loved this gym! They had a variety of classes, childcare, and functioning equipment. However, in the last 2 years this gym has slowly declined. They closed childcare (saying it wasn’t used much, but it was always packed!), cancelled most of their classes, including FFIT, and started locking doors to other parts of the gym. I mostly use the FFIT room and attended the FFIT classes. They started to open up that room to all the members, which resulted in equipment missing (mind you we still paid the premium price) then they cancelled the classes and now they’re taking equipment out of the classes. It’s just been a downhill decline. I can tell you for a fact that people don’t want to pay premium prices for gym that doesn’t offer much. Not sure what management is thinking…

This is a good gym. I started in January and I am yet to understand why there are so many negative reviews. This is a gym not your house. Not sure why people seem to be expecting too much. The folks that work here are super friendly. They greet you when you come and go. The bathrooms are clean. I see the lady from the front desk come in for refreshes frequently.
There are several equipments. The ambience is also good for a workout. I also do classes which are pretty helpful. The instructors are nice. The only problem I have is the loud music in the classes by Cara. It doesn’t need to be deafening. Frequent exposure to loud music can be detrimental long term so she needs to really tone it down. Other than that. I like this gym and I have been to many in my lifetime so I know a thing or two about gyms.

I visited FitFactory in North Attleboro with someone who’s a member, fully prepared to pay for a guest pass. I walked in with cash in hand, visibly holding a $20 bill ready to lift and mind my own business. Before I could even speak, a manager approached in an unnecessarily confrontational way and snapped, “You know you’re not entitled to guest pass privileges with your pass?!”
I get that this might be an ongoing frustration for them that needs added clarification, but the tone and delivery was uncalled for. There are a dozen more professional, courteous ways to clarify a policy, especially when the visitor (me) is clearly holding cash ready to pay.
I immediately felt like this was not my gym and I was spending $20 for a day pass to have all the energy sucked out of me before getting into an hour workout. I guess expecting decent front desk service is asking too much.

Just when you think this gym can’t get any worse, they lock an entire room off to members even when no classes are going on. Literally lock it. Meanwhile, they only have two sets of each dumbbell. God forbid a staff member preps the room ahead of time — instead, it makes more sense to block off an empty area during peak hours (5–8 AM), forcing the rest of us to cram into the CrossFit room.
Now you’ve got people stretching and doing abs in the middle of the floor, while others are trying to do lunges or anything that requires space. Makes total sense, right?

I worked out here (and at the Foxboro location) for about a year. It's a solid gym with plenty of weights and machines, reasonable hours, and a friendly staff.
Yes, the equipment is old and sometimes broken. But it's a $20-$40/month membership, and the negative reviews below make it sound like people were expecting a gym like Equinox. It's a good gym for the price.

I'd give this place zero stars if I could. The customer service is awful. You pay for training programs and don't get the service you pay for. You try and Cancel your membership and they give you the run around. The store says go to the billing site, the billing site says go to the store. Then they try to send you to collections. Its not worth it.

This gym was representative of a $10 a month big box gym - tons of equipment but poor upkeep. Equipment will often break down and take weeks or months to be fixed. For example, for months there has been a pec fly with a seat that can’t be adjusted. They claim it’s fully functional, but how can it be if the seat doesn’t adjust? Fully functional for one specific height of member I suppose. Many of the pads on current equipment is ripped and should be replaced for comfort and hygiene reason. The sauna is frequently broken and after being down for months they announced they will not be repairing the steam room due to the cost of repair.
Recently, they announced the price will be doubling for the base tier. I understand everything has gotten more expensive and wouldn’t mind paying if I knew the money was going back into the facility, however, with the way the gym is currently running I highly doubt it will.
Though, I will say they do have a couple very friendly staff.

Changed my vote to 1 star. I wanted to cancel my account before the price increase so I asked the front desk staff how I can do that. He said because I paid for a year up front it would cancel automatically. This was not the case - I was charged with a monthly fee and $60 yearly fee after my year was up. Upon talking with the dismissive assistant manager, I spoke with the general manager who told me she could not do anything because I did not have what the staff member said in writing. People make mistakes, but to not honor the mistake and try to make it right is disgusting. It’s not the $80, it’s the principle of staff either lying or being incorrect and management not doing anything to correct this. I will be making sure everyone knows about my experience.

Place used to be amazing, but now the place is falling apart. Seven machines have been broken now for weeks.
Toxic fumes from the sauna. The people that came to fixed the sauna stained the wood which you can't do at all. Seems like the people that run this gym don’t even care anymore. I wouldn't even give this place a star.
The only reason they get a star is because of the staff that works there trying their best. I can find better working equipment in third world countries. Tara,Shawna and Tino keeping this place afloat with tape. True MVPs right there.

This gym used to be solid. In fact, I had previously reviewed it as 5 stars.
So, why am I changing my review to 2 stars?
Over the past two years this gym has gotten worse and worse.
Half of the equipment is either broken, rusty, or malfunctioning.
On top of that it takes them MONTHS to make simple fixes. For example - one of the peck decks has had a broken seat for more months than I can even remember. Two of the stairmaster machines have been broken for 4+ months with no fix.
The steam room has been out of service for 3 years and sauna is often broken. When the sauna is working you need to be careful that you don’t sit on a NAIL sticking out of the wood.
Most people I talk to here are just waiting for a new gym to open up locally so they can leave.
It’s clear this location is not a priority and is not given a sufficient budget to maintain the quality that members deserve or that they advertise.
Also they recently increased memberships costs despite the decrease in quality.

It’s the busiest gym season of the year and the amount of broken cables and machines is astounding.
They also used wood stain inside the men’s sauna and the smell is unbelievable (not to mention TOXIC)... A 2 second Google search can tell anyone the dangers of using stain or varnish in a sauna. It's honestly mind a blowing level of negligence.
In addition, they apparently fired the janitor months ago and have not replaced him.
This gym has turned into a total joke. The only reason people are still here is location.

This was last year but I will never forget how absurd the situation was and I should've tried to dispute it with my bank as well because I was out over 100 dollars. Such a disappointment. Edit: was pleased for a while but over the last few years this place has gone downhill. Equipment is not as clean and maintenance upkeep is not great. I don't see the janitor around anymore. The latest drop that made me adjust the review was them using wood stain on the sauna boards instead of using cedar wood. Who does that? Just being next to it in the locker room makes me dizzy. Prolonged exposure to wood stain fumes can cause wood stain poisoning, which can result in a burning sensation, blurred vision, and collapse

I’m not one to leave a bad review but in the handful of times I’ve been I continue to be shocked at how rude the people are. Heading back to FF Foxborough. Decent gym over all. One thing is completely unacceptable in my opinion. You closed your steam room understandably during the pandemic. We are at least 2 years removed from the pandemic and now your excuse is “cost-savings” for upkeep. NO, not ok. You built a gym with this amenity and sold it to your customers. This place is horrible. Kids try to fight you in the parking lot, equipment is constantly broken, members are breaking equipment in between sitting on their phones, save your money and go anywhere else. Staff are cold and unapproachable or pushy and rude no happy medium, always on their phones too. High school creatine kids and uneducated adults ruined this gym. And the bathrooms are disgusting.

Absolute horror story. They changed their terms and agreements, and I did not agree to the new terms. They would not let me cancel my membership and the ‘cancel’ option on the website and app were dysfunctional. They refused to answer any questions on the phone. I cancelled my credit card and they reported me to the credit bureau, so my credit score dropped 30 points and they charged me almost $300, which was way more than the membership cost. Complete scam and terrible customer service.

My experience at this gym was disappointing for several reasons. The dumbbells are old and cracked, posing safety risks. The cardio machines are outdated and frequently malfunction. Membership costs doubled without proper notice, leaving many members feeling blindsided. When asked about equipment updates, staff only replied with vague promises of improvements, yet spent thousands on fake grass instead. Additionally, people should be warned that canceling a membership takes forever, and if you don't do it within 30 days of the next billing cycle, you'll get charged for the next month. I recently had the pleasure of interacting with Alynna and Brodi at Fit Factory, and I couldn’t be more impressed with their service. When I called, Alynna answered the phone and was incredibly helpful, addressing all my questions with patience and clarity.
Upon visiting the facility, Alynna gave me a comprehensive tour, showcasing all the services and rooms. She was very accommodating and made the sign-up process seamless. The pricing is very reasonable, and the space is open and inviting.
Both Alynna and Brodi at the front desk were not only professional but also exhibited great personable service. They were down-to-earth and had a practical, common-sense approach to everything. Their excellent customer service made my experience at Fit Factory truly outstanding. I highly recommend this place, thanks to Alynna and Brodi’s exceptional service!

Be wary of signing up at the gym—it’s a breeze, but canceling? A nightmare!
I joined Fit Factory a year ago with a $49.90 membership and paid an upfront annual fee, paying total of $109.90 just to register. The gym requires a 30-day notice for cancellation. Despite being a consistent payer, my attempt to cancel in the 11th month was thwarted by an inaccessible online process. I visited the gym twice before the 30-day deadline to seek help, only to find no managers available during evening hours.
Although I understood the 30-day notice policy, I was frustrated at being charged for another year’s membership that I wouldn’t use, especially since I had already paid this fee at signup. Attempts to discuss this with management were unproductive; the assistant manager was dismissive and the manager denied my previous visits, demanding specifics about whom I had spoken with.
Their approach felt less like customer service and more like a tactic to hold onto my money. It’s absurd that you can sign up in person but can’t cancel the same way. I’ve decided against returning to Fit Factory—I had considered returning in the future since it's conveniently located next to my house, but after this experience, they've lost my business. Additionally, the equipment, like the leg extension machine, lacks basic maintenance, and the machines are dirty looking. This isn’t just poor service; it’s a scam. Be cautious!

Shouldn’t be surprised that a gym will try to scam its potential customers, then act like they did nothing wrong. Signed up for the special deal with 2 free months that advertised no commitment, did not end up going after the first 30 days, and so reached out to cancel membership. Lady on the phone explained that since I did not give 30 days notice, any bills would have to be paid. What they fail to tell you is the “no commitment” deal is false advertising, and they will be charging you an annual fee along with your first month, forcing you into an almost $100 payment right off the bat, which sounds very much like a “commitment” to me. After I tried to explain to the worker that I don’t see why I would pay for a gym membership when I have never even stepped foot in the gym, she simply just threatened me with collections if the bill did not get paid. If this is how you treat all your customers, then no wonder why you have to offer free months and hide annual fees in the fine print. As someone who has worked in customer service, to say this was a disappointing interaction would be an understatement. Now, I am simply forced to submit a claim to my bank, and have them fight with the gym, because I will not give any more time to a place of business that clearly only has one thing in mind, and that’s making money. Wish I could give 0 stars, and hope everyone avoids scam gym programs like these.

Dont waste your time or money. The place is not clean, then have 2nd hand equipment and services they offer they do not have. The sauna heating unit has been broken for over 3yrs...they fail to replace or fix broken things. Repairing and upgrading your equipment is part of the cost of doing business. Stop lying and saying "the repairman is coming tommorrow" we are on to your game. Much better gyms out there.

Very clean gym with a solid combination of free weights, machines, and cardio equipment. The space is very smart in its layout so that even during peak times, you don't feel crowded. There is a small refreshment area and in-locker room dry sauna. There is no loud music piping in like a lot of other gyms and the staff are polite but not intrusive.

Love this gym I started doing personal training 3x a week. The fitness director Fallynne is great, very personable and encouraging. I work with Kevin now too, the staff here is great if you want to be serious about getting in shape they will help you! Best cross fit (FFIT) classes around! Gym is very comfortable clean environment with many class offerings. Go ask for a tour.

They charge you like crazy every chance they get. We had the premium membership and were charged to freeze it and then charged again to cancel it. As a college student I paid for at least a year worth of membership with all the extra fees and only got a couple month use out of it. Super rude over the phone when we were upset about being charged ANOTHER month. We canceled cuz your facility sucks. And we have to pay for another month to work out somewhere we don’t want to. Also the machines are almost always broken.
Planet fitness is a better use of your money, same exact equipment but the people there genuinely care about you and not just money. Really saddening that they do anything to extort money out of a teenage girl and then blame me for it. Take your money elsewhere I promise.

Im not one to leave reviews ever but this was so unfair that i think it needs to be left here. So I was a member since about 2018. I had the membership that included childcare and used it about 4-6 days a week since i had my child. I never had any intention of canceling my membership because I loved the child care staff and was very comfortable at the gym. I re-signed my yearly commitment to save a couple extra bucks each month back in November. About a month later I get a phone call that gave all of the parents that use the child care, and their own staff, a 10 day notice that childcare was closing. Initially, the staff was very understanding about the inconvenience, and the child care workers were shocked by the decision. They promised to waive all fees that went along with canceling. A month goes by after I cancel and i get a 79 dollar charge taken out of my account. I call, thinking they had made a mistake, and the district manager refuses to refund me because i "broke my yearly commitment and that is their policy". I told him i would have never canceled if they kept the childcare. For me i cannot workout without that. I asked to speak to someone higher up and he refused to give me any info on someone higher up because he was "the highest up" i could talk to.I ended up disputing the charge with my bank since he was set on not refunding me, even though they broke their end of the contract i signed. I haven't received any word from my bank yet. An old friend of mine found out about this situation and was able to let a general manager know and within a couple days of her finding out i got a refund. Not sure if it was my bank or the general manager who was able to get my refund but Im just glad i got my money back at this point and this headache is over with.
I have heard many complaints from people around the area complaining about difficulty canceling their memberships, charges being taken out of there accounts and many more things.

Great local gym, we are new members. A couple machines are out of service and doesn't look like the steam room will operational any time soon, but overall good gym. Opening up at 400am or 430am would be super beneficial for those with long commutes to the city.

I joined this gym a few months back and I have to say, it was a great decision. The staff is friendly, the FFIT classes are awesome, and spin with Tarsha on Sundays is one of the best classes I’ve been too! My only complaint would be the weekend hours, specifically Sunday. I like that they open up at 7 on Saturdays, but 8am on Sundays is a bit late for me, but that could just be me. Also, lately, with the New Years resolution, the classes have been filling up fast! Especially Sunday morning spin, so you have to make sure to get there really early to sign up. Would love to have a few more spin classes in the early mornings (5:30am ones). Would also like to be able to go to the FFIT classes more than once a week, preferably on weekdays, If they had earlier start times. 6am is just too late for me to be able to go.
UPDATE: years later, and this is till my gym. Sundays they open at 7am, which is nice that they take feedback into consideration.
Also, FFIT classes have gone through a transformation (different coaches and change in workouts), especially after COVID. Dave, the morning coach is just amazing. He pushes you and makes sure you fully understand each movement. I love going to the 5:30am class, and when I can't make it, I feel like something is missing from my day. Highly recommend his class.
My only feedback would be to have childcare available for evening hours. This used to be the case pre COVID, but not anymore.

I've had a very positive experience with the personal training program at Fit Factory, North Attleboro. My current trainer, Alexis, is wonderful. She is very motivating and encouraging. She has a remarkable way of pushing me out of my comfort zone, allowing me to see exactly what I am capable of achieving. Alexis is very knowledgeable and attentive, and offers fantastic feedback. I am seeing results in fat loss and muscle gain, which is extremely encouraging.

This health club has exactly what I need. Friendly curtious staff, big circuit training area, plenty of benches and free weights, nice long cardio deck, available open space for body weight training and it clean! Theres nothing more needed. I hit the weight circuit in the morning and take a fitness class a couple night/ week. An added bonus is amazon lockers and small phone lockers right at the front door.

This gym is a whole scam. They state month-to-month, and when you try to term your membership with them, they make it impossible. OH, let me not forget that they love to send to collections (even though it’s no contract, and month to month). I joined this gym for ONE MONTH ONLY. The audacity of them. Clearly, the pandemic affected them financially, that they’ll send you to collections after a one month membership…. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. They’ve done this to so many people. I wish I would’ve read all of these horrible reviews before joining them.

Charged a yearly fee even though I've "canceled" in person last year. Despite being told I was good to go, you can't cancel your membership in person or on the phone. You can only make a request to get an email to then create an account and then pay extra to cancel. What a waste.

I just recently came back after the covid home gym era and it’s been such a pleasant experience. The gym is clean and not very crowded and my daughter has been going to the child care area. She’s having a great time with Amanda. Amanda is always calm and collected as she watches toddlers run around with a baby on her hip! The kids seem very happy and comfortable with her. It’s been a great experience.

I have been a member here for 2 and a half years. In recent months more and more babysitting availability has been removed and now no babysitting is offered at night. I pay for the top membership because of amenities like this. Due to this I am canceling my membership. I was told best case scenario this would be reevaluated in the winter months.
I paid my yearly fee of $74.99 in August. My only request was a prorated refund of this based on amenities I signed up with having been removed. I was shut down and told that the only two options I had was 1) lower my membership to the lowest membership to save money or 2) stay with the current membership and see how childcare pans out.

I was no longer able to commute to the facility and although you can join in the. Facility you have to go online with a very lengthy process to cancel your membership and although i cancelled in the beginning of the month they still charge you for one more month. Literally extorsion. The people who work thete are stuck up and this facility smells like old fast food you cant use the free weights often because of all the steriod juicers. The cardio equipment is worn and outdated.

Love the North Attleboro location, it was a hard year and I've been trying to get back into a routine and with classes I've been able to. I have it down to Monday, Wednesday and Friday yoga which has been the best thing for me with Emily L., Jeannette P. and Erin S. They have been so calming and helped me to gain strength and flexibility back. I've also added in barre class on Saturday morning with Sara M. and she's great and energetic. She encourages every single person, no matter their ability. She meets each new class member and gets to know them personally and their needs and finds a way to connect with each of us.
She answers questions and advice. She pumps us up! Even during lockdown, she was checking in with everyone and seeing how we were doing. She provided virtual classes to keep us going! (My kids enjoyed the virtual classes too!) I was never a big fan of fitness classes, but she had me going to the gym more than I ever attended before! I have never been someone who looks forward to the gym or working out in general but fit factory has seriously changed that for me. This gym is so clean, spacious, the staff is always friendly. At first I was in doubt that for the cost of the membership that any of the classes/trainers would really be any good and I AM WRONG all the of the instructors have been great take their role seriously the amount of classes offered still blows my mind and the time availability is really pretty accommodating. I look forward to booking my classes on the app to the moment i walk in - really has been such a shift in my work out mentality. My only wish would be a Protein shake bar would make it even better !

I have been a member of a couple of other fitness clubs but this one is different. The people here starting from the person at the front desk and the manager to trainers are all very friendly. My trainer Rob Richa is great. He takes an interest in your well being and will comment on what I am doing when I see him at the Fit Factory while working out on my own. He encourages me to challenge my progress by increasing weights and using different equipment in my workouts. This has helped me progress and lose weight. I recommend them to others I know who are thinking of joining a fitness club.
