Fueling Strong is the first gym I've gone to in my 58 years that I feel safe from injury and my body's needs are understood and respected. I'm learning so much about nutrition and health. I haven't hurt myself once in 2 years and I feel better than I have in many years!! Let me just say, I've exercised at many gyms my whole life and eaten well. But FS has changed so many of my old habits and has me ready for the next chapter, stronger and healthier than I thought I could ever be again. Rachel is wise beyond her years and an incredible trainer. Morgan is awesome too. The community here all ages is unparalleled. I will never join another gym again, none compare!

A friend had told me about the classes & training she does at Fueling Strong and that I should check it out. For me the idea of starting a gym class and meeting alot of new people felt way too intimidating but finally after about 2 years of encouraging me, I did it and signed up for a class. From day 1, both trainers, Rachel & Morgan & EVERY single person in every class has been welcoming, positive & friendly. I feared a small gym that others have gone to for years would be like I'm trying to join a high school clique but it couldn't be further from that. It's been about 8-9 months now & I actually look forward to class & don't dread forcing myself to workout.

Despite the fun aspect, both instructors take the time to ensure you are doing the exercises correctly. They will adjust your form so you don't get injured & if you have an injury they will make sure to give you specific modifications so you can workout out safely. THIS is not something you often get in classes, nevermind for the price of their classes. They genuinely care!
Highly recommend! (Wait...just not too :highly" that I can't get a spot in my current classes 😊) My only regret is my waiting 2 years to finally try it. Thank you Fueling Strong.

Fueling Strong is amazing! I began my journey at Fueling Strong very intimidated by the entire “gym” scene. Since I have been working out at Fueling Strong my outlook has completely changed! Going to Fueling Strong is one of the best parts of my day…I look forward to spending time with Rachel and Morgan and I love the changes my body is making! Not only are they amazing at fitness…they are also incredible teaching nutrition courses. Taking these nutrition courses with Rachel & Morgan has completely changed my outlook on my food choices, actually understanding how food fuels and hurts your body and has given me a healthy relationship with food. If you’re looking for a place that truly cares for their clients and is passionate on helping them with their goals, then I would definitely recommend Fueling Strong!

Rachel is both knowledgeable, and compassionate! She has a very impressive understanding of different diet & nutrition protocols. She helped me fine tune my insulin/glucose issues and nail down an actionable plan! The fitness assessment and home plan she put together was spot on for my individual goal. Rachel is not only a great fitness coach, but she is also an amazing nutrition coach. I love the group Whole30 and our monthly food freedom meetings. Fueling Strong is a new hidden gem, a boutique gym conveniently located on Route 28 in North Reading, near the confluence of I-93 and I-95, in the extended North Shore region. The facility is clean and cozy with many personal touches, and with equipment options that are flexible without losing any of their seriousness. Owner Rachel Lucas is a special treasure: warm, wise, and welcoming. I have been pleased to upgrade my own fitness experience with her over more than five years as she upgraded from the big corporate gym where we met, through some intermediate adventures, and finally to a space all her own. Every time I am at Fueling Strong, Rachel takes me as I come, fast or slow, buoyant or in need of buoyancy, and is committed every session to leaving me in a better state than she found me.

I highly recommend working with Rachel. She was always available with encouragement, food recommendations, and answers to any Whole30 questions I had. I chose the Gold package Whole30 coaching. I also work out with Rachel virtually and she always keeps my workouts fresh and exciting. For me she's obviously a nexus of fitness and nutrition, but she would likewise be helpful to anyone trying to focus on only one of those items. She cares whether you are engaged and always takes into consideration how you/your body is feeling. No regrets yet
