The Get Lively experience is always awesome! I do personal training for a knee injury and always get specialized modifications BUT even in larger class settings, I know I’ll get the modifications I need to get a good workout and safely push myself. I recently brought my 15 year old niece to a class and she said “That was better than like any exercise I’ve ever done in my life.” - she loved the TRX circuit and fast-paced HIIT class we took.

Jan has created a community where women cheer each other on and she is the chief cheerleader. Fitness is just one aspect of what she does. She also coaches women-owned small businesses, helps with family stuff, gives her members a community to interact with as well as a way to give back to the community at large, and more... on a regular basis. And for me, having access to this community, especially while I work alone at home, is so positive for my mental well being.

Jan is an excellent instructor, fun, caring, personal. She works well with folks beginning their fitness journey as well as those who are already in excellent shape. I have been attending her classes for three years, and have benefitted from her coaching program as well. She is simply the best.

I finally found a fitness studio that fits my needs. It’s fun, affordable and offers a great variety of classes. The studio/ equipment is new, very clean and the instructors are knowledgeable and accommodating. I never get bored and have never been in such a good shape since joining. Not to mention, I never thought it was possible to have fun while working out!
Another bonus is that there is an option to rent the space for private events. I recently invited 20 friends to a dance lesson for my birthday and it was a blast.
Definitely check this studio out!

Jan’s Get Lively 30-day Challenge was exactly the motivation I needed to kick off the journey down a better pathway. Simple little changes like drinking more water and eating more veggies made a huge difference in my overall approach to healthier eating. The stretching videos and the various challenges were great. Plus, the ongoing accountability for doing healthier things was an effective motivator! Jan is so positive, enthusiastic and lively — and reasonable! Great program, and I look forward to continuing the relationship!

Jan is the absolute best instructor/fitness coach that I have ever worked with! If you think you aren't a "gym person" - this is the place for you! After a long break from exercising during the pandemic, I was so hesitant to start again. Jan Taylor is definitely in the business she was born to be in! I've enjoyed several of Jan's courses and can't say enough good things about her and what she offers.
Jan teaches her clients to listen to their body to create the best lifestyle for themselves, through diet, exercise and mindfulness. Her enthusiasm and positive attitude is infectious and encouraging.
After Jan's 12 week Lifestyle Program Íve increased my water intake, cut way back on carbs, added a lot more veggies, have very little sugar,
increased my exercise, take more time for myself and lost 10 pounds. The best part of all that is that Jan taught me how to kickstart a healthier lifestyle for a lifetime.

I participated in the Get Lively Lifestyle program. It was 12 weeks long and each week had a different focus on how to live a healthy lifestyle. We learned some "hacks" so if you're in a rush to make dinner you have things you can grab and eat. We spent some time looking at our own habits and how to warp them into "healthy" habits. I've continued with some of the hacks I learned and the habits I tweaked and am much more conscious of my lifestyle choices! There is a group component which was key especially during some of the days/weeks when I was waning in my commitment. Jan's suggestions were right on target and so helpful!
Jan is wonderful at motivating you to keep going and working on living a healthy lifestyle, she's inspirational and a great resource for all things health and fitness. I highly recommend the program!

I've just finished Jan Taylor's Lifestyle program and I can't recommend it enough. In the past, I've struggled with an "all or nothing" mindset in regards to improving my health. The old "if you can't give it 100% don't bother" and as a result I so often would set unattainable goals for myself and then fail. The Lifestyle program taught me how to tackle common challenges in concrete ways and did so in an environment of humor, support and relatability. Check it out, you won't regret it!

I stopped working out for years and didn't know how to get back in it. I took one of Jan's classes with a friend (after a lot of convincing) and was instantly hooked! Jan is such positive energy that she makes her classes exciting and FUN! Her classes are hard enough that I'm sore for days after... but not too hard that I don't want to ever go back. It's the perfect balance. I now work out 3 times a week with Jan and I'm looking forward to her bumping up her class schedule!!

It's been a couple years since I started working out with Jan. I am now up to 4 times a week with her group classes. I've recently joined her "lifestyle" program. With this program Jan taught me the right way to implementing healthy eating into my lifestyle. I joined with about 20 other ladies and it was great to have Jan's insight along with the input from the other members. If you are looking for a fun and lively trainer, look no further. I started with Jan at Get Lively about 3 months ago. I have struggled with my weight for years and would try to do group classes at other places or work out on my own and I couldn't help but think everyone was watching me. I felt like I couldn't do the exercises in the classes and I felt embarrassed that people were watching me or judging me (even if they aren't, we all feel like that sometimes) Working out on my own or at home was very inconsistent and unsuccessful it is so hard to get up, get dressed and push yourself to do things. During Quarantine I realized things were getting bad, I didn't want to do much of anything and I was body shaming myself for being overweight and struggling emotionally. That is when I reached out to Jan for one on one training. It start out as a this is a good thing for me (aka I just need to eat my vegetables) then when it was hard it turned into well I want Jan to be proud of me. Now just a few short months in I cannot wait for another session with Jan. Being in her studio I let go of all my problems and push myself to be the very best I can in that moment. Even if I can't give 100% any other day, I think just give 100% in this one short hour then go home and sleep and be lazy but right now it is go time. Through my journey Jan has been so supportive. She truly listens to any needs I have, maybe I am not feeling great today. Okay lets work on slower paced weight training and stretching. Maybe I don't feel like I am be challenged enough well she is always more than happy to push you further! Her energy at every appointment is happy and as stated lively. Her optimism and can do attitude is contagious. She is also patient when you are in pain or if you have hurt yourself doing dumb things in life (looking at myself for carrying something too heavy that I should not have been). Jan has been very responsive when I text her to tell her what is bothering me, maybe my back hurts, maybe I was sore the next day and she comes back with solutions and stretches even when she does not have to. With Jan I have lost 10 pounds, I feel more confident than before and can't wait to get back to show her and myself what else I am capable of.

I have been taking exercise classes from Jan for a few years and I know her to be a fun, high energy, engaging coach. If Jan is teaching the class, I’m looking forward to taking it. Last month I signed up for a 30-day workshop that Jan offers called Get Lively 30. The basic idea of the seminar is to help you jettison bad habits and incorporate good habits. In particular, I was looking for help with diet and weight loss. Jan’s approach with me was less about a strict diet regimen and more about why I was making the choices to eat what I was eating. I had never looked at my eating habits through that particular lens and I found it to be extraordinarily helpful. I believe I’m making better choices now because I realize the bad choices weren’t getting me where I want to be. It is my pleasure to recommend Jan as a trainer and as a health coach!

Jan’s Get Lively HIIT class is the anchor keeping me accountable and in the best shape of my life! After having kids I found it very difficult to get into any real exercise routine; my “exercise” consisted of chasing after two kids which only led to random aches and pains that made me feel even worse about myself… until I met Jan. In 2016 I learned about her classes, starting working out regularly with her and never looked back. Jan’s sessions are unlike no other- this is NOT your ordinary workout! She is a very devoted instructor, keeping me in-check and accountable. Jan is always present and her mission is to keep our mind, spirit, and physical health in balance. I have never had the same exact routine twice and she keeps things lively during our sessions in a friendly, non-judgmental environment. Her weekly podcasts and posts on social media give me insight and the tools I need to succeed. The bonus for me was finding a group of similar-minded friends who have since become instrumental to my physical and mental health. Jan's Get Lively program is the change I needed and continues to be the reason why I make exercise a priority in my life.

I consider myself so lucky to have been introduced to Jan and her classes, through a friend, a number of years ago. What I love about Jan‘s classes is that she keeps things Interesting, and she keeps things moving… Though I have been in her classes for years, we never repeat the same exercise routine! Jan is friendly, upbeat and motivating and makes people of all levels of fitness feel comfortable in her classes. She helps with modifications with each exercise so that people of all can participate. Jan keeps the music pumping, and classes feel fun. I always feel great leaving Jan’s classes…both because of the work out I’ve just had, but also because of the warm, positive environment she creates in her classes.

I am a 43 year-old mother of two active preschool boys. I have always considered myself an athlete and pretty physically fit. After having my sons, both by c-section, I found it very difficult to regain my physique especially around my lower abdomen. I started working out in Jan's Get Lively small group sessions a year ago and I'm thrilled with the results. Jan is extremely informative on proper technique and what muscle groups we are focusing on during the class. I am definitely getting my waistline back, and abdominal muscles that I thought I would never feel again are re-emerging! Jan Taylor of Get Lively: Mindful Health & Fitness Coaching provides a one-stop shop to get your body and mind in gear! I was embarrassed to admit that my healthy eating habits had gone out the window with two young children and a busy career. Jan operates in a no judgment zone and is literally the best listener that I know! As a health coach, Jan guided me to make simple yet powerful changes into my daily routine, adding more energy and peace into my life and body. I'm not sure how I lived without her green smoothie recipe before she introduced me to them!
As a fitness instructor, Jan's style is fun and invigorating. She keeps her playlists fresh and our time together flies. She is a great motivator in the studio and has the ability to connect with her clients while managing exercise modifications at the same time. As I said, she is an amazing listener too.
