I use ClassPass and was looking for a strength and conditioning/HIIT workout that would challenge me yet keep me interested; so I was thrilled when I discovered Grit Per4mance! Every session is unique so I never get bored and the people provide a warm community atmosphere. Irene (the owner) discreetly evaluates each person to verify they have proper form and technique to ensure safety and mitigate any injuries.
Overall, I am elated to have found this gem and look forward to each class!! I highly recommend the Grit Per4mance and fully support women business owners!

Grit has helped me face my biggest struggles that I've always dealt with: Losing weight, staying motivated, and being consistent. Irene, Manuela, and Hedrick have seriously been such a big help and I never thought I would ever be able to keep this up. I'm so very grateful to have met them and have them pushing me on this journey❤️
As for these people complaining about the noise, all the trainers are very respectful of the neighborhood. The garage door is shut during the AM classes and if I can still hear my trainer over the music, I think you need to rethink your attitude. Maybe come join us since the 5ams/6ams seem to "wake you up"! 😃

This gym is absolutely ridiculous. I don’t know if they’re trying to compete for noise level or actually exercise. There is absolutely ZERO reason to be this loud, especially at 5AM. There are families with small children who are disturbed every morning by the constant SCREAMING at this gym. Extremely disrespectful. I understand that they are a gym but the noise level is completely unnecessary and inconsiderate.

This training facility is truly amazing! I have been inconsistent but when I was going more frequently I had a great experience! The owner and the team really motivate you to be your best self. I was shocked at how much my body can do and I noticed results in just a couple weeks!!! HIGHLY recommend you check out Grit. The owner has really built an amazing, loyal community! I started Grit about 2 months ago, and after the first class it kept me coming back for more! It’s an extremely encouraging workout facility to attend. Everything from the music, clients, to the coaches is motivating to help you reach your goals. This place is great to help you lose weight, gain strength and muscle, improve mental health & anxiety, etc. Best part is that you actually see results after going consistently!

This place is truly a hidden gem and it’s a beautiful location with a community dedicated to you and your mental and physical growth. I started coming here 4 months ago and I honestly can’t go a week without coming at least once a week. the sense of accomplishment after a 45 min workout is addicting. My favorite part is the trainers and how unique each of them are, that make each workout so exciting. I had an ACL reconstruction 3 years ago and I never truly felt like myself till now. I always had some kinda pain or soreness to not push myself. Girt changed that mentally after a month. My knee now feels stronger and I have recovered, so much confidence to not be afraid to try any intense workout.

Small business with a ton of community support. The owner / trainer works hard to create a great small group environment that’s covid safe but the class still packs a heavy punch with a 45 minute workout. Easy to book on mind body AP. Two bathrooms ( one with shower.) class is a mix of body weight and weighted exercises that don’t feel boring or over played. Masks required.

I am a person who HATES to exercise. I’ve spent most of my life avoiding it. So I knew that I was going to need a ton of positive feedback in order to stick with something. Grit Per4mance is not easy, and because it’s not easy, you are so unbelievably proud of yourself on the drive home. That’s what has kept me coming back, and the fact that Irene and Joey are awesome is just a bonus. Plus, if you’re self-conscious like me, rest easy... everyone else in class is suffering through the tough workouts too (and therefore NOT looking at you while you sweat and/or struggle with a new movement!) Try out a class, get your butt kicked, and then be proud of yourself. Rinse and repeat.

I started going to Grit about 2 months ago, and it's such a hidden gem! It's been the most challenging workout I've done in years. All of the classes get your heart rate super high, burning a ton of calories. It's the perfect combination of weights/cardio. You will feel absolutely exhausted at the end(in a good way).
Every day of the week has a different focus, but every class I've done so far is different. They do a great job of keeping it interesting and challenging so you don't get bored. The music they play is awesome!
Irene is very friendly but also pushes you to be the best you can- please support such a good local business! She's passionate about what she does and you will be so happy you went. All levels of fitness go, so no matter where you are at you will feel comfortable.

4 months in and Grit changed my life mentally and physically. Irene and her crew care for their clients. I walked in there scared, nervous amd out of place but the trainers and clients made me feel welcomed. We all support each other. Best full body workouts with the best energetic trainers.

Everyone should try out grit per4mance!! I have been working out there for over a month now and I have fell in love. Not only is it a great workout that pushes you to limits you may not have thought you could go to, it is a great environment with even better people. It is truly a community of people who wants to not only get better themselves but help lift the people around them. The owner Irene Barrera is wonderful and always has a smile on her face as well as an amazing workout! Their new trainer Joey Carroll is great as well, he pushes you in the best way and I always leave feeling satisfied after his workouts. I would recommend to anyone looking to switch up their workout routine and who wants to get better!

I absolutely love Irene and Grit Per4mance!! I started a few months ago and can see the results in just a short time. I feel stronger, have lost 10 lbs, and have higher energy throughout the day. Grit classes are very motivating and encouraging and I can’t imagine a week without coming here. I 10/10 recommend this to anyone it’s a great experience and a great hard workout if your willing to get in shape or even lose weight this program will do both of those things. I loved it, it was a hard workout for me since I wasn’t used to it but by the end of the day I could feel the soreness on my body so I know it worked sign up for gritt whoever is interested it’s worth it.

I joined Grit a about a month ago and it has been life changing in so many ways!! This is for everybody of all abilities as well! The works out are intense they push you hard enough to where you never thought you could go! Not only do the coaches coach but they make you feel so welcomed and they feel like mentors. Irene checks in with you personally to make sure you are on the right track and that you are getting what you need. They focus on changing your body and your mind and it is amazing. As a member,after every workout I just feel younger ,healthier, you have to be ready to leave your comfort zone ,take your mind and body to a different level and you'll be surprise what you are capable to accomplish!! I definitely recommend Grit Per4mance if you are ready to make a big positive change in your live!! I have been coming to Grit for a little over a month. It is a boot camp style gym owned and operative by a Waltham native-Irene-and I love the sense of community and togetherness that greets you every class! John is a really great coach who doesn't let you wimp out! You definitely get a total body workout each class!! Irene offers a free 3 day trial period-don't know of any other gyms that offer this. And class sizes aren't so big that John, Irene and the other coaches have time to watch you and make sure you are doing the moves correctly. Everyone in the class is so supportive of one another too. So glad I joined!

I have not been coming for a long time but I Can honestly say its an amazing workout. If you want to push yourself to the max then this is the place to be at. Instructor is focused on having the best intense workout. Focusing on yourself and becoming better a better you is what GRIT gives to its clients. Workouts are intense but so worth it. I don’t understand why people want to focus on being negative about local small business owners instead on empowering them to grow especially when is a female owner. I am glad GRIT is here in waltham it is convenient, good for the community, and a great way to workout with friends!!!

Love this place! I’ve been attending the outdoor bootcamps for months now. I used to work out for years and was in OK shape - but since starting these bootcamps, I’ve been feeling incredible every week. My performance at work has improved dramatically (I get more work done in less time), I feel better mentally, and my physique is also improving a lot.
I love seeing my friends every week at GRIT, it hold me accountable to getting my workouts in

Terrible neighbors. Can't speak for their product, but they use unauthorized parking spaces, trespass during their "drills", and shout obsenities at their clients in the street, and generally makes assess if themselves early in the morning. Wish these guys would move out ASAP.

I have been going to GRIT performance since day 2 of their opening and I absolutely love it!
