If you've ever felt as if you aren't doing your workouts correct but you're not confident to ask or train with someone who's more experienced, no need to fear here. Every time I workout here I'm always getting tips and tricks to make my workouts more effective. The trainers here are on the clock at all times, whether or not you have questions they're there to help. In terms of "open gym," look everyone needs to work out not just you -if you're doing something horribly wrong you will be assisted, however, open gym is assumed that you have minor knowledge of what you're doing. If you don't have a clue to what you're doing, SCHEDULE A SESSION WITH THE TRAINERS FIRST, it'll be well worth your while. Great gym, great people, great atmosphere, and if your lucky lots of furry friends to support your emotional journey throughout your workout. Great job High Function Fitness! 10/10

Honestly HFF changed my life. I started a little over a year ago and I feel healthier, stronger, and more confident than ever before. Jeremy and Emily are incredibly supportive and motivating. If you are looking to get stronger and have fun & feel supported while doing it, this is the place for you. The coaches strive to make you feel confident and comfortable, while also pushing you to give your best effort. They demonstrate and talk you through each exercise, so you feel confident going in, and provide individual modifications as needed, even during group classes. I would highly recommend trying out some classes at HFF!

Coaches are all top shelf! They genuinely care about each individual and their needs. I have never been to a gym in the past that focuses on stretching, mobility, cardio & weight training. HFF is an awesome community, I am so glad I joined.

High Function Fitness is a great gym and I would highly recommend. Friendly coaches and members. I go to the group classes, they mix up the workouts every 4 weeks which keeps it fresh and helps you with your progress. If you canβt do a certain exercise they can give you an alternative exercise which is impressive for a group setting. Not only do they care about your gym goals but they care about you as a person. Try them out for a class!

The best part of my day is going to class at HFF. The classes consist of both strength and cardio and can be performed at any fitness level. Emily and Jeremy really care about each member and will make sure that you perform each exercise with proper form and technique while also pushing you to get the most out of every class. At HFF you will find great workouts and an even better atmosphere.

These guys were a disaster. My partner and I got groupons for a month of unlimited classes and went to 2 classes. We would of liked to go to more, but this train wreck of a gym canceled classes often and had an extremely limited schedule. One week they only had 2 classes available the entire 7 days. On two occasions we showed up for classes and no one was there to teach them. To top it all off the groupon states we would have use of the gym facilities, and yet they made it very clear when we arrived that it was ONLY for the classes (the non existent classes) and that maybe we could us the facilities here and there. But when my partner tried to coordinate time to go to their SCHEDULED open gym time because the classes were so lacking, they werent actually available to be there. Surprise. We both felt extremely let down. Very unprofessional.

Barely functioning fitness would be a better name for this place. Its run by a nice couple, who have absolutely no business running a business. Words that best describe this gym would be disorganized , unreliable, unprofessional and inconsistent.
First off, they dont have the capability to offer enough classes, let alone for the prices they are asking. Maybe theres 4 or 5 classes scheduled for the entire week. However most of those will be cancelled, so dont bother making plans.
If cancelling classes all the time isnt bad enough, they routinely forget to tell you theyve been cancel, or just plain dont show up at all. Yeah, its bananas. I have never experienced anything like it at a gym, ever.
They are barely responsive by email, it may take weeks of prodding to get a response. Their responses are usually something like βwe will reach out to you this afternoonβ. And then of course they dont.
They have slots that look like open gym time, but the truth is that they probably wont be there. It seems the focus is on personal training, but they are trying (very very poorly) to add in classes. Its just a mess. The handful of people who sometimes come to classes actually appear to be their friends. The classes are often the same thing week to week.
I canβt wrap my head around there they got 17 good reviews. As nice as everyone is, it doesnt make up for the epic failure they are as a business. They just do not deliver what is promised, or anything even remotely acceptable. Im guessing they do much better at their one-on-one stuff, or they have at least 17 friends who were happy to write reviews for them.
All in all I would advise again wasting your time and money, there are tons of other gyms in the area that will delivery. Being reliable and respecting your clients time is pretty basic stuff. Iβm not sure which was more upsetting about the experience here, the waste of money or the loads and loads of wasted time.

When I moved to Woburn, I was searching for a gym to get in shape for my wedding. I looked into a lot of different options, but after my consultation with Jeremy, I decided to give High Function Fitness a shot.
Right after my first group class, I knew I made the right choice. Even though this type of working out was completely new to me, I never felt self-conscious about asking questions or needing help because the environment was so welcoming with Robin and Emily coaching.
Iβve been going for a year now, and I still look forward to every workout and moving forward in my fitness journey. I can't recommend HFF enough!

I came to HFF at the ripe age of 41. My fitness had slowly declined through my 30s, because "life", and I was no longer the athlete that I imagined I was. Weeding my garden was difficult, skiing a full day was taxing, and a 5k was a miserable jog/walk slog. HFF has transformed my fitness and well-being! I joined just a few months before the pandemic, and I was immediately hooked on their group classes, and still am to this day. Their dedication to the HFF family throughout the pandemic helped me maintain my sanity, and helped me get stronger, fitter, healthier and more mobile throughout. The zoom workouts during the shutdown were the one thing that provided structure to my entire day and helped me stay grounded. (Extra thanks to the equipment they loaned us during that dark time). I also learned to finally eat veggies and fruit (lots of it! Everyday!), and have transformed my diet, all thanks to them. I look forward to continuing to enjoy my life as a fitter and healthier person. Thanks HFF!

High function fitness is not your typical gym. It is an entire community of people that not only push you to work harder but also support you in life events outside of the gym. I have been a member since they have opened and Emily and Jeremy have seen me through injuries and a pregnancy and were able to not only keep me working out throughout them but also taught me how to continue seeing results all while keeping me healthy! They also helped my family raise money to help us through a financial disaster when our dog suddenly passed away after to VERY expensive surgeries!

High Function Fitness changed the way I view working out. I have always been one to go to the gym because I felt I had to but I always dreaded it. Jeremy and Emily made me enjoy working out and have become the best part of my day every day.
In the group training sessions they still give personalized attention to each member and make sure you are doing the exercise correctly or give modifications if you can't do it. I have also done their personal training sessions, which allow them to focus on what you want, or need, to work on. In each class they are pushing you to work your hardest while still making sure your form is not compromised. They start each class with a warm up and mobility stretches to help you improve your movement in the workout, which ultimately makes you a better athlete.
On top of the excellent workouts, I also gained a family through joining HFF. They do charity events and gym outings to bring everyone together so that everyone knows each other and feels comfortable around each other. Every member I know is supportive and will cheer you on or pump you up whenever you need it. We end each class with a high five to show our support for one another. They also have an awesome gym puppy who greets you with love every day!
I started going to this gym as a temporary thing when I was doing a 6 month internship in the same building complex and I have now been there for 3 years and don't plan on ever leaving!

High Function Fitness is truly the best of the best in gym facilities! Jeremy and Emily have ingeniously created an environment that is both welcoming and challenging to all persons regardless of their fitness levels and capabilities. I started here seven months ago and I have no intention of going anywhere else ever again. Each class you are challenged to be the best version of yourself while also being supported by the brilliant peer athletes in your class. I know first hand that joining a new gym can be intimidating. Rest assured, the people here are NOT those who judge another for their abilities or looks, we only train with people who want to try their best and help one another. If you're reading this and want to be in a judgmental "glam squad" I'd recommend you go elsewhere. Otherwise, I'll see you at the gym future friends!

Jeremy and Emily have created an amazing environment at HFF. They realize each of their clients is an individual with different needs, issues and goals and because they are so knowledgeable about body mechanics and physiology they are able to create personalized training programs to help their clients reach those goals and address those needs and issues. They have been working closely with my physical therapist to help address some of my issues and the physical therapist is thrilled with the things Jeremy and Emily have discovered by working with me one-on-one and in a small class setting. She is, as am I, very impressed by the breadth of their knowledge and by the individualized program they have created for me. I am so happy to have found them!

Jeremy and Emily are amazing coaches. HFF is a different kind of gym facility. The coaches learn you as an individual, learning about you as a person and not just a gym member. Their exercises strive to improve your overall fitness with their personalized "functional" fitness plan. It's more about the quality of the movements than the quantity you can complete in a given timeframe. Their instruction of each movement is excellent, breaking it down into laymen's terms rather than the typical gym jargon. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a good, quality workout.

I'm not really a gym person but I find myself looking forward to going to HFF. The trainers are awesome, continuously watching out for poor form and modifying elements of the workout to meet individual needs, even in a group setting. I've done crossfit and "open gym" and my rate of improvement at HFF seems a lot more rapid. I recommend them highly!

I thought I was in pretty good cardio shape for a 55 year old man - I truly was not. I wanted to join a fitness gym in order to augment my running/biking. What I found at HFF is functional training that essentially replaces the running/biking while strengthening the entire body and improving flexibility and mobility. I also found trainers that are friendly, energetic, supportive, and extremely knowledgeable with a focus on their vision for their individual members' physical health. It's only been 3 weeks since joining and I can see marked improvements in my stamina, strength and flexibility.

You know you've found a great gym when you are genuinely sad you can't make class.
I've tried out several gyms from Crossfit to other functional training facilities and found that at HFF the coaches are actually engaged with their members during the entirety of the class instead of just writing a work out on the board and occasionally yelling "nice job".
The coaches are awesome and extremely knowledgeable. They cater to literally every fitness level, from someone who has never set foot in a gym to a seasoned athlete. The workouts are always broken down to an appropriate challenge per person. Most importantly they make sure everyone is performing movements correctly and safely while getting the most out of your workout. All of the members are friendly and welcoming too. After a few classes you'll feel like your working out with a bunch of friends which is nice because it holds you accountable.
