JP Centre Yoga is a wonderful place to practice yoga and be part of a wonderful community. I've been going for over ten years, and I can't imagine what my life would be like without it. The owners do a great job at finding and retaining really high quality teachers.

Andrea is one of the best teachers I've taken classes with in Boston area. Her attention to detail when it comes to alignment has helped me make a lot of progress while protecting my joints from any injuries. Her creative ways of exploring the poses and activating each muscle needed for the final pose helps a lot with the understanding of pose.
She would usually tell a story at the start of the class and would sometimes refer back to it during rest of the classes.
Also the 90 min format gives a lot of time to explore the poses and the class doesn't feel rushed.
I'll highly recommend her classes.

Kristine did great! She answered all of my questions and I had a lot of them. I was worried about asking so many questions but Kristine was super patient. I typically canβt make it Sunday afternoons but I will look out for other classes that she teaches.

Very welcoming space for everybody. Great variety of offerings. I love Daniel's, Evelyn's and Alana's classes. I enjoyed the vibe of Marlene's monthly BIPOC class. The BIPOC discount is greatly appreciated and allows me to practice as much as I want to. I love that I can practice in my neighborhood (and beyond Down Under Yoga).

The studio boasts excellent teachers and very agreeable space. Minor qualm: folks that are late to class tend to squeeze themselves into front rows, which can be somewhat annoying. But I suppose it can be grist for the meditation mill π

I am from out of town and attended two classes. I've been doing yoga for 25 years, and have done teacher trainings myself. The classes I attended were both great! Excellent instructors, and well balanced classes. If I visit the area again, I would definitely go back. Thank you!

I started coming to JP Centre during the pandemic to practice online with Dan Steel, I deeply resonated with the practice and so when Dan Steel left JP Centre I was (heart broken letβs be real) and searching for a new class. Last night I went to Daniel Maxβs class and it was the perfect combination of classic yoga asana sequencing and deliberate consideration of pacing that made the practice feel like reuniting with a great friend. As a teacher myself, I welcomed that it felt appropriately challenging, insightful, and welcoming all at once. Also, the energetic considerations and speaking to the deeper meaning within the physical practice was beautiful. Beyond this JP Centre Yoga embodies true alliance with the BIPOC community and aligns its values with social causes that I value. So it feels like a true safe space.

LOVE JPCY! Iβve experienced many different classes and instructors and everyone is knowledgeable and caring. Such a wide variety of times offered as well. I always feel like I can keep up, or tailor the flow to my needs, even when Iβm a bit out of shape and havenβt done yoga in a while. Highly recommend!! You will feel like family at JPCY!

Loved the space, light coming through the windows. I think there were 50 people in the class and I never felt crowded. And of course Daniel. I could listen to his wonderful alignment cues forever! And loved his sense of humor. Everyone was very inviting and lovely from the front desk to the teacher, and people taking the class. Thank you!

I took a hot yoga class with Chanelle. It was the best hot yoga class Iβve ever taken! The music was so good! Chanelle had her music lined up perfectly so that when we started to wind down, the music automatically started to wind down. Chanelle sounds like she wants to be there. She sounds confident and vibrant. She sounds awake, even on an early Saturday morning. Sheβs able to adapt to challenges. Iβll definitely be taking her class again.

Trust me you wonβt find a better place to practice yoga than JPCY. I rarely leave reviews but have to leave one for JPCY since I love it so much here. AMAZING instructors (Alana, Jill, Kristine, Sarah, Daniel, Max, and many, many more). My favorite classes are the heated flow - you will feel so light and exhausted (in a good way) afterwards. They are extremely accommodating and offer tiered pricing which is so nice. Now that Iβve moved out of Boston, I have so much trouble finding a new place to practice because nothing has come close to the quality of classes offered here. Missing JPCY so much!

Even though I was on livestream, Marlene helped me to feel apart of the class community. She checked in frequently with us to make sure we were present and the technology was working. The technology worked perfectly for the entire class until the sound healing practice, however Marlene had thoughtful suggestions for what we could do at home during this part of the practice. Overall the class was well prepared, joyful, timely, and very trauma informed and accessible. I donβt live locally but hope to make the trip and come in person soon!

Before coming to JPCY I always felt like an oddball in a yoga studio. I would take classes or do online videos and walk away feeling worse than when I stepped on the mat. Being someone who has had chronic back pain for 10 years my yoga journey was challenging. Until I found JPCY, the instructors really acknowledge different abilities and make stepping on to the mat accessible and welcoming.

I love JPCY. I dabbled in yoga to some extent most of my life but this is the first studio that made me want to commit.
The atmosphere is welcoming and not intimidating for a beginner, but there's plenty of knowledge and challenge for anyone with more experience. The studio culture/environment clearly speaks to many because students are at all ages and levels.
Lots of classes to fit anyone's schedule. I haven't had a bad class yet, though my personal fav teachers are Daniel Max and Ame Wren.
Also the studio is vocal about social justice and equity, and actually takes action (e.g. tiered pricing, community classes, etc). It's great to see a business that doesn't just see this as a marketing opportunity.
