My fiancé and I had little ballroom dance experience, but we wanted to feel confident dancing to our wedding song in front of all our friends and family. Karen was the perfect teacher! Her lessons were so much fun, and she truly listened to what we wanted throughout the process.

My husband and I took dance lessons with Karen for our Sept 2023 wedding, and it was without a doubt the best part of wedding planning. We took 5 lessons with her and went from having 2 left feet to feeling incredibly confident about our first dance. Karen taught us the basics first, setting a great foundation, and then helped us put together a routine. Before our wedding we wanted to make sure we wouldn't step all over each other during our first dance so we looked into dancing lessons in the area and came across Karen's Ballroom Dancing. We initially signed up for 1 class thinking we might take 2-3 total. After the first session we ended up booking a '5-pack' of classes and we're SO GLAD we did this. Karen is an incredible instructor and she is very flexible schedule-wise. With all the stress of wedding planning these lessons were a nice break and we turned them into little date nights which was very nice during those times. We ended up signing up for 1 additional class 2 nights before our wedding as a refresher and it was such a good decision. Our guests loved our dance and we had fun doing something so special on our wedding day!

We took dance lessons with Karen for our 2022 wedding and not only was our first dance amazing, we had a lot of fun learning it! Over 5 private courses we went form next to no ballroom dance skills to having a fun and relaxing first dance that we could be confident in! Karen was easy to learn from and patient with us throughout as we slowly got the hang of our steps and learned what to do and just as importantly what not to do to look like we knew what we were doing! Dance lessons was definitely a fun break to the regular planning as the wedding approached!

Taking dance lessons with Karen was one of our favorite parts of wedding planning! She does a great job at teaching you dance steps that allow you to be confident during your first dance, without being overly choreographed or having to remember a routine. She is also a lovely person, and we really enjoyed spending time with her in the weeks leading up to the wedding. We could not have been happier with how our dance turned out, and we had a ton of fun in the moment!
