I am so Happy that I started going to KYA Fitness-the Best decision I made! The first reason is that at 82, I hadn’t realized how weak my body had become, and the second reason was that I weighed 155 lbs. Deanna was So good. She was careful to have me only do what I was able to do, yet, increasing as I was able to. Within nine months, I became so much stronger and I lost weight down to 129! I am thrilled, and only have Deanna to thank! We have So Much Fun while working out!

I love the small training groups Dina has. She is extremely knowledgeable, always has great energy, and able to justify workouts if needed. I also think she is extremely reasonable for unlimited classes. She also offers alot of other things ontop small group training.

I started working with Deanna 10 months ago and I have never been stronger or more mindful about how to approach fitness and health. Deanna takes a holistic approach and works with you on your goals, not hers. I went to see her after breaking my shoulder and finding out that I had osteopenia. I wasn’t OK with that, and we’ve been working on my strength and my core. She gave me the confidence to try a surfing lesson on my 60th birthday. I was afraid that I wouldn’t even be able to stand up, but here I am! She’s amazing!

KYA Fitness is more than just a gym, it’s a house of happiness, support and success. I’m not your typical guy who works out everyday and at first I was very skeptical to even try it. However once I started and was welcomed in by Deanna and her crew and I felt this was where I belonged. Deanna has a very caring way about her and makes no judgements, she just listens and recommends a plan that is tailored to my schedule and goals. She takes every client seriously and really cares about their success. The culture at the gym is welcoming and warm and all the other members are very nice and not judge mental, this was very helpful getting me started.
Since joining KYA about 6 months ago I’ve lost 25 lbs and still losing.

I strongly recommend KYA Fitness to anyone looking for a good place to workout, whether you’re an on the fence kinda guy like me or a seasoned veteran I assure you KYA Fitness will not disappoint.

KYA is saving my life! I started working out a little less than a month ago. I go every morning except Friday. I feel so much better! Except that my muscles are new to this and are letting me know that they are working hard (ache but “you’re going to love it”. Deanna says it all the time)
Deanna makes any workout perfect for you. She will let you know how to modify so that you can keep going. I was having trouble during core workouts and she helped me modify the workout so that I could breath easier and keep going.
Deanna helps with diet advice too so that you eat the nutrition that your muscles need.
Just start, you will get something out out of it,

When I first started I was not very excited to go to the GYM. ( any gym). Then Deanna was easy to talk to, she listened to what you wanted and then came up with a program and Would tweak as you went along. Working with her is amazing, fun and a great workout. Deanna does a great job of keeping you coming back. She is professional, friendly, energetic, and smart. I have done personal training with her for more than five years. She helped me lose more than 25 pounds in about 5 months (at 57yo) and keep it off with workouts tailored to my needs/ goals and nutrition information/plans that match my lifestyle (I am not giving up sugar). She reads my energy level, modifies moves as needed, I don't think I have ever done the same workout twice.
Deanna also helped me train for a 7 day hiking trip in Zion National park, which was much easier at the lighter weight. She just has amazing range.
The studio is set up with health protocols in mind. I would recommend Deanna and KYA fitness to anyone, and I have. Three members of my family take classes and/or do personal training with her. She is competitively priced and worth every cent.

I have been working out at KYA for the past 11 years. In that amount of time I have had some injuries from other activities, mainly tennis, including a torn ACL and shoulder and back issues. Deanna has a great understanding of the safest and smartest work outs and has always encouraged me to still attend classes regularly with modified and personalized workouts with the focus on keeping all my other muscles strong in order to support the injury. She also guides us with healthy dieting tips and strategies. The atmosphere is professional but also super friendly! Work out pads are appropriately spaced so that none of us need to share equipment. Everything is also sterilized at the end of the work out. I have never been comfortable with the Planet Fitness style gym. KYA is definitely the perfect place for me!
