There’s plenty of equipment, I rarely have to wait for free weights or cardio equipment. For the price you can’t beat it, but you get what you pay for. The place is poorly maintained. If anything breaks, it could take months for it to get prepared. This includes anything from water fountains, to toilets, to sinks. Locker rooms are filthy. Garbage cans are always overflowing, soap dispensers, paper towel dispensers, toilet paper dispenses are often empty. Especially on weekends and Monday mornings. I’ve seen the same piece of paper towel sitting in the sink for a week. There are constantly drain flies in the showers. I wonder the last time, and how often, a manager has walked through them.

I am not getting my moneys worth for my membership and there are other gym options that offer much more amenities. Very bad experience 😤 with LA Fitness. I tried to cancel my membership several times, but the staff kept stalling me. At first, they asked me to write my name, phone number, and reason for cancellation on a piece of paper and said they would deliver it to management. The next day, they told me it was submitted, and later they said the managers were not available. When I called, they said “you must come in person”, but when I went at 12 PM, no one was there! After all this hassle, they still didn’t cancel my membership and continued charging my card.

Before this, I canceled my wife’s membership (on the same bank card), and even that took almost two weeks with a lot of stalling—but now my experience is even worse.

The gym is extremely crowded, and waiting times for machines are very long. The place smells bad, is not cleaned properly, cardio machines are rusty and dirty, and the pool has been closed for a long time without any maintenance or explanation.

Honestly, their way of handling memberships feels like scam and fraud. It’s like a prison they don’t want you to leave. I do not recommend this place at all.
If there a zero star I will give them, Shame on a big corporation like this

I’ve been struggling with cancellation at LA Fitness. Even though they confirmed my membership was canceled, I was still charged. When I called about it, I was told refunds can only be handled through the corporation—not the local gym.

The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) actually filed a lawsuit in August 2025 against the operators of LA Fitness (Fitness International LLC and Fitness & Sports Clubs), accusing them of making it “exceedingly difficult” for consumers to cancel gym memberships. The practices in question include requiring mailed or in-person cancellation—often involving unavailable managers—or forms that are hard to access or print, resulting in continued unauthorized billing and allegedly hundreds of millions in unwanted charges. The FTC is seeking to stop these practices and secure refunds for affected members.

On top of that, the facility itself is very poorly maintained. The place is extremely busy, with. A lot of the equipment is broken, and many of the machines have ripped or worn-out cushioning.

It’s also uncomfortably hot inside. They never seem to turn on the air conditioning, and when asked, the staff says they can’t control the temperature because it’s set by the main corporation.

Overall, between the billing issues, the ongoing FTC lawsuit over cancellation practices, and the poor gym conditions, this has been a very disappointing experience.

Had a terrible interaction with GM Valentina back when she first started at this location. We had been accidentally double charged the first month of signing up, and instead of working with us reasonably, she was rude dismissive and all around completely unhelpful. We canceled and never came back. Looks like the gym has gone downhill since then!

Just an average gym, but this location has a lot of non English speakers who speak very loud, always disturb other customers. I have no problem with other race, but speaking very loud especially not the language you understand is very annoying. Hope the gym place some “keep noise down” sign.

The stench of the gym is so bad it is unbearable. The gym and locker room are filthy. The cardio machines are dirty, rusty, and broken. The pool area has recently been permanently closed. The large doors to the basketball court are always wide open so you see, hear, and smell mobs of sweat-drenched players running around with their shirts off.

No paper towels to wipe machines off. Would it be so hard to have air fresheners and to thoroughly clean the place? Poor management!

Just an overall gross facility. Shame on La Fitness for allowing this.

The big fans were no where to be found, usually one upstairs by the mats and one by the basketball court. A little TLC goes a long way. For a gym in the summer, the AC should be on blast.

Very good gym though recently they have been closing a lot of the amenities. They still have a sauna and plenty of space to work out in. If you have a workout buddy, you can split a membership as you allowed two guests each visit. That is good because each membership is ~40 bucks a month.

I’ve never in my life felt so disrespected at a gym—or any business, for that matter. I came in with a basic question about my membership, and what I got instead was a full-blown attitude from Valentina Aguilar, the General Manager. I don’t use these words lightly, but she was aggressive and hostile. From the second I approached her, she made it clear I wasn’t worth her time. She cut me off, rolled her eyes, and spoke to me with a tone so nasty I genuinely thought I was being pranked.

I tried to remain calm and respectful, but she escalated things for no reason. She raised her voice, dismissed everything I said, and acted like helping a paying member was beneath her. It was surreal like she had some personal vendetta against basic customer service. I left the gym angry, embarrassed, and completely stunned that someone with that level of unprofessionalism is in charge of anything.

I will never return to this location as long as Valentina is the GM. And if corporate doesn’t step in, they’re just as responsible for the toxic environment she’s created. This wasn’t a bad day or a misunderstanding…. this is someone who should not be managing people or interacting with customers in any capacity.

Used to be pretty good but has been going downhill since I joined a few years ago. Currently the WORST LA Fitness location in the state. It started with the closing of the pool to save money. The locker room and shower areas are not very clean and smell. The basketball court is slippery in the colder months. Recently sometimes there isn't even hot water to take a shower. Wouldn't be surprised if the management is purposely shutting off heat to save more money.

I used to not have a problem with this gym. Been a member for almost 2 years. Recently, it seems like they stopped cleaning? I come in the morning before work and rely on the showers post workout. There’s been no hot water for WEEKS. This morning the water was the coldest I’ve ever felt, I could barely get through my shower. The floors in the locker room are absolutely DISGUSTING. honestly the whole locker room is absolutely filthy like it hasn’t been cleaned in months. Constantly toilet paper and just dirt all over the floors. The old staff were great, but lately the new desk staff seem to not care. They have headphones in and are on their phones. I’m honestly shocked how downhill this gym is. Searching for a new gym, freezing cold showers and people constantly taking photos with you in them and lack of cleanliness isn’t worth it! Save your money, don’t join this gym.

The only reason I did not leave this gym is because a few of my friends are still there. The men’s room is completely a disaster, and paper all over the floor. Toilets 🤮🤢 💩💩 , showers with spiderweb, no soap, no toilet paper, no hand sanitizer. I’m really sure the CEO has not clue of this mess. Coaches are doing nothing they’re very unprofessional, they have not respect for us and try to clean or put the weight on place. I will call Natick health department soon and maybe they can do something about it. Or at least fee them !

I am 59 years old. I’ve been training in all typs of facilities since I was about 13. I’ve been to every LA fitness in Massachusetts and Rhode Island with Pawtucket and Stoneham being by far the cleanest. The Natick facility is absolutely disgusting at 9 o’clock in the morning. The bathrooms were absolutely atrocious. Every toilet had feces stuck to it. I could possibly understand later in the evening but in the morning when your best client tell is there and people have to take a shower to go to work whoever is managing that facility should be ashamed to call himself a manager for the amount of money that we pay the corporate office should take notice. I pay half the price at planet fitness in those facilities are impeccably spotless.
