I've traveled to many gyms. This one is the nastiest and dirtiest I been to. I felt like I walked out of the shower dirtier then I went in. I tried 3 showers and the were clogged to the point of standing water. They had overwhelming smell of urine. The sauna didn't work. The gym itself was tolerable but still unclean.

I used to attend this LA Fitness location, but my experience was consistently disappointing. Whenever I needed assistance finding specific equipment, there were no staff members present on the training floor. A lot of the machines felt outdated, and overall the environment didn’t feel well-managed. What bothered me most was noticing staff members focusing more on flirting with female members—especially moms—instead of doing their jobs. It was frustrating and unprofessional, and it made the gym feel less like a fitness facility and more like a hangout spot. I did enjoy having a variety of equipment available, but the lack of professionalism outweighs the positives for me. I have no interest in returning.

This gym use to be so good and clean. The carpets off the floor are coming off some of the equipments show obvious wear and tear. The pool is filled with germs and bacteria making people sick and make staff continue to flirt and make us feel uncomfortable in particularly Micheal I think his name is the operations manager. He is not fit to be a manager and is very unprofessional , rude, disrespectful. He needs to be dealt we or taught how to treat members. He lets his friends in for free and give people who are actually members an hard time accessing the things we pay for.

I’ve been training here for a while and overall it’s an amazing gym! The front desk staff is friendly and check-in is quick. There’s a wide variety of equipment plenty of free weights, machines, and cardio options so I can usually get my workout in without waiting too long, even during peak hours. The group classes are well run and the trainers I’ve met are knowledgeable and approachable.

This is a large gym with lots of equipment unfortunately there seem to be maintenance issues that are not being kept up with. It is a busy location but my last four visits there are no cleaning wipes on the top floor. Its pretty uncomfortable to do incline presses while holding your head up because you dont want to put your head in someone else's greasy head sweat mark. Many of the machines seem to be in disrepair. The staff is pretty friendly. If they repaired some equipment, replaced some carpt, and were more attentive to refilling the wipes it would easily be five stars.

The gym itself was fine while I was a member, but their handling of cancellations is beyond unacceptable. I moved for work 10 months ago and went in twice, signing all the paperwork they required to cancel. Today I discovered they’ve still been charging me every single month. I called this morning expecting them to fix it instead, they gave me an email address to “re-cancel” and offered zero reimbursement for nearly a year of charges. What was the point of wasting my time with two in-person visits and stacks of documents if nothing was ever processed? This isn’t just inconvenient it’s careless and unprofessional, and it’s cost me hundreds of dollars.

They have one of the best personal trainers i have came across. Shelly! She is amazing and dedicated. She has helped me so much in my journey since joining the gym in 2022. Her personal training classes are one of the most challenging and rewarding class you can take. She makes sure your posture is immaculate and she gets to know you in a great way to best help with your workout. She also helps with modifying a workout to accommodate any disabilities. 10/10 recommend. The only thing I would recommend the gym to do better is just dusting more around the window areas lol allergies be killing me as soon as I walk in. Also can't forget to mention another great personal trainers Marcel!

The LA staff conflict with each other. I tried to use a 3 day pass to test the gym for my liking. I called and they said this is okay but upon arrival, Vladimir said no. He said i have to buy a membership in order to allow the pass. I argued whats the point of a 3 day pass if I have to commit to the memborahip. Seems like a scheme they use to force sales but at the cost of customer satisfaction. Tell the customer yes u can use a 3 day pass but when you get there, they will tell u only if you become a member. Place seems to be run by teenagers. Management is non existent here.

I would say you pay for what you get - but they raised their prices without any heads up to the members? If you guys are going to up the charges you should be able to provide AC or working fans on each level of the gym instead of forcing your members to workout in a shared sauna that smells like piss and BO. Been a member for years and have not seen any repairs or new equipment installed ever since joining. Depending on who is working, you’ll either get greeted kindly or ignored and glared at as if you aren’t welcome. There has been no hot water for almost two months now. Y’all are trying to enforce new rules such as no more gym bags- but your lockers have been broken into and items have been stolen repeatedly. People (including myself) have been using gym bags for years here and even started bringing our own gym attachments since the ones at the gym are either broken or no where to be found. This gym is not that special at all and depending on what time you get to workout for the day, you’ll either have to wait for wanna be influencers to get done recording their workouts (and everyone in that surrounding area in the background) and to stop super setting on three different machines during rush time. Not big enough and defiantly not inclusive enough for all these issues to be justified.

I joined this gym because I was looking for a change from PF. I liked the option of having a pool and hot tub, along with the basketball courts. I prepaid for the year with the option of cancelling in one week with refund. I am now almost 2 months into this membership and have yet been able to deal with anyone capable of cancellation. I have called or gone in person 7 different times to resolve this and only have been told, "I don't have the authority to do this and need the manager to do so." Where is this manager? The gym itself is dirty, littered with empty bottles and weights all around the gym. Dusty machines that don't work. One day, I went into the locker room and when I opened a locker the door fell off the hinges and hit me in the leg. The basketball court is so busy that unless you have hours to kill you never get to play. At this point I'll reach out to the corporate office to see if I can get a response...not holding my breath.

The staff is incredibly friendly and professional, and the facility is always well-maintained. Natasha at the front desk consistently greets everyone with a warm "good morning" or "good afternoon," and she’s always ready to assist with any concerns. While no place is perfect—some members could do a better job of taking care of the equipment and keeping the space tidy—I see the staff working diligently to maintain a clean environment. If I could give 0 stars or less I would. I started at this gym with what I was told was a ONE WEEK free pass, which was only 3. That was not a big deal as everything else. DAY 1 in the gym and I walk into the locker room. Not a SINGLE paper towel dispensar had paper towels, there was what looked like pieces of toilet paper or tissue scattered on the floor. I go up to the basketball court and it's absolutely trashed. Theres dirty clothes (including underwear) amd trash all around the benches. Also noticed some of the equipment falling apart.
DAY 2. We have paper towels but now someone is doing their dirty laundry in the sink, people in the sauna butt naked with their sweaty dirty asses on the seats, and the showers are just disgusting and sad looking. Let's also add that from day 1 and day 2 the only janitor they seem to have was mostly sitting at the front desk talking and doing nothing.
DAY 3 pretty much all the same stuff. Court being closed for cleaning soon but still trashed. Theres now random unmatched single crocs and slides around the gym.
Fast forward a bit and the gym that was cleaned, dusted and light fixtures repaired is still trashed and actually worse than it was before.
Now im about 2 1/2 weeks into my membership and I was not informed that i would be charged an annual fee 14 days after I signed up. Unfortunately this is stated on the contract which they so graciously skipped over explaining. Thats not a terribly huge deal but something that should be VERBALLY stated to anyone signing up. I received a call earlier in the week asking if I was offered the free fitness assemessment. I was not so I scheduled in which it was today 3/21/2025 @ 0930. I arrive at the gym at 0909 and go to sign in and was confused because the scanners that are typically on the counter aren't there. I finally scan in, tell them about the appointment and go warm up because I was just not feeling it today and wanted to get the blood flowing. 0925 arrives and I sit in the lobby until 1000 where nobody acknowledge me. Someone did walk by me twice asking the gentleman 2 seats to my left why they were there, amd the second time to get them for said appointment. I texted the individual that confirmed my appointment that I appreciated being ignored for 30 minutes to which they replied with many excuses and a single seemingly forced apology and not until I was obviously angry and not just annoyed, did they finally ask if id like to reschedule.
This is the worst gym I have EVER been to and if not for it being the only gym with a sauna within a reasonable distance of me, I would absolutely go elsewhere. I believe it may be time to build a personal sauna 🙄

I visited your Springfield location on February 8th and was misled regarding a free trial. My underage brother was improperly signed up for a membership using my credit card. Your claim of easy cancellation is false; I was told in-person cancellation was required when I had tried canceling, violating FTC guidelines. Be prepared to see a lot of disappointing areas that's need improvements (roofs leaking, moldy showers, unmaintained equipment.) Gym staff only care about the sales of the gym and don't care about the environment. Alex doesn't even go to that gym, yet manages it. I’ve been going to this gym consistently since start of 2020.

People leave dumbbells and do not rerack weights. Depending on the time of day the bathrooms MAY be clean.

Some spots on the 3rd floor have cracks in ground due to people blatantly dropping the weight from deadlifting.
They make minor improvements but it can be frustrating going here and seeing the same things and no change.

You only come to this location cause there isn’t anywhere better in the area sadly. It can be much better for what you pay.

I had a 7 day trial only went 3 times and 2 out of three times I did not like what I was seeing. I wanted to become a member because there is a pool and spa I figured if it was a gym pool it would be used for workingout or relaxing there were 5 adults 4 in the pool 1 in the spa. 3 teen age boys came in and started jumping,Cannonballing,diving and swimming across the lanes while people were trying to work out then went over to the spa while there was an older gentleman using it to relax. the boys started junping in and roughhousing in the spa the older man was no match for these boys and their roughhousing. So he got up and left. They did this for aleast a hour and a half. jumping from the pool to the spa to the souna then back again using the place like a playground. In my eyes these boys were way to old to have been acting like that they new better then what they were doing. My problem with this is the staff is right there at the window they could see all of this going on yet not one of them came in and told them to stop. On top of that they could have got really hurt jumping and diving into shallow water. Like spinal injury that they may never recover from while staff just turned their backs and didn't correct the problem. Also the bottom of the pool needed to be cleaned my feet were actually leaving marks because of the grim builed up. Then the third time there. I had no where to change because there was a female and a male staff member cleaning and talking about whatever so I had to get changed in the shower could dry of properly and we'll u know how hard it is to put clothes on in while ur still wet standing in a wet shower. I really wanted to be part of this gym because the price was right. But if it means I have to put up with staff not doing there jobs and unsupervised teen in the pool it's a big fat NO for me!! I will stay at planet fitness. If ur going to have a gym this big u should probably train ur staff better. To me this is a management program!!

I only go here because I refuse to go to planet fitness. The free weights are in poor condition. The floor is sagging by the free weights. The carpet is gross, people leave their dirty used paper towels everywhere. The flat benches have rips and tears in them.

Havent been here in a few months and was told my account was cancelled, found out i was being charged and came in today. With the help of staff and manager on, the process was very smooth and they were a delight to work with. They deserve a raise and have GREAT customer service and patience.

I love the manager Chelsea at this location. She makes sure that all of my questions are answered, she often helps me figure out my form and ALWAYS has such a beautiful spirit. She is the reason I drive over 10 minutes to go to this location! Just wanted to shoot her out really quickly

I have been coming to Esporta for at least five years. The main reason is the Aqua Fit instructor, Lisa. She teaches 3 times a week. She is enthusiastic, plays different music, and changes up the routines. She's the best.
The second reason is the recent change in management. Problems are fixed when reported. The cleaning crew, Sam and Kevin, have made a big difference. The women's locker room floors have never been cleaner! Thanks, Sami...fantastic job.

I used to go to this gym when it was LA fitness and I loved it. The first time I came back to the gym this year I was shock how the place was unkept but in a few months after being back the gym is cleaner and employees seems so happy. The new manger Chelsea has really made this place a better and warmer place to workout.

This gym is a great size and has many different machines. The staff is always welcoming and greets you when you walk in. The manager Chelsea is always willing to help out when needed and is very educated on fitness! I always see the cleaning staff cleaning and wiping machines down.

Huge club with plenty of light…massive space even during busy hours many floors and many options. The basketball court is beautiful in all glass. Staff was extremely courteous and helped when asked. Can’t beat the $ for a membership well worth the cost. Great spot! Great environment and Great health club.

As a long-standing member, I've heard that esporta branding will revert to LA Fitness, which I hope will bring upgraded equipment. Notably, our facility requires new dumbbells and 45-pound plates due to damaged plastic coverings. Additionally, the third-floor TV has been inoperable for an extended period and needs replacement. Once these issues are addressed, I intend to provide a 5-star review.

The place is spacious. Lots of options for workouts. Basketball court, pool, free weights, weight machines, many cardio machines throughout the multiple floors. Tons of lockers.

Here's the thing, and I told him I would put this if I left a review. If I want to go on the elliptical machine, I need to find one that will incline. Not all of them will. Because they're broken. Or one that isn't clunky. Or one where the water bottle holder isn't broken. Or the little piece that would hold a tablet or a book or whatever isn't broken. There are several at least on the first floor where at least one of those problems exists. Kind of a similar thing with some of the treadmills. Is it going to incline? Is it super loud and clunky? So, it would be great if these things could get fixed. Or remove them so we don't have to search. Maybe it's temporary. I recall this past winter or so a Facebook post that they were going to be doing a bunch of renovations? I don't know if that happened. But the issue with semi broken or broken equipment has gone on for a while.

Staff is friendly enough. I find myself wishing them a good day when I leave more often than them initiating, but that's not the end of the world. That's just kind of a difference between going above and beyond (which isn't necessary) and just giving basic customer service, so not a big deal to me.

Gym is clean. Water and wipe-down supplies are readily available.
