Assistant Manager Rickey is beyound rude. Nevwr mind lack of help. He wouldn't let me finish my questions about the gym during covid 19 time . On top of giving wrong information. I asked to speak to his manager he proceededs with his attitude then continues to hang up so i cant get information when the general manager is in. His professionalism is beyond horrible. I would never suggest the gym to anyone on the behalf of Rickey being the assistant manager. His rude and don't care about the root of the problem

You got to be careful they tell you they take in the money on the 1Firs and I put the money in 9 AM and they overcharge me $15 even on the first and all the people getting charge more tha they supposed the Jacuzzi always damage steam room is damage people pay money for nothing and they always got an excuse A lot of people are leaving because they having lot of problems

Best gym I've personally seen in the area. Very clean and well maintained. Plenty of machines and space to get everything done. Staff and ambience give you a welcoming feeling. They also have a "women's only" room which is great. Pool is huge and there is a cool running track incorporated on the second floor

It's nice but tooooo expensive. I think for the amount of money that we spend there we should at least be able to bring a friend. The steaming room is always busted and the bathrooms always have a funky smell. This is the one in Methuen, i don't know about the other locations. I'm happy to say I'm glad I left and signed up to choice fitness!

When I first started going to this gym it looked clean and organized. For the past year or so, I noticed there has been major over crowding with dumbbells and plates left on the floor instead of being racked. Also you now have to squeeze yourself through the machines which it's not safe. For the past several months there's been an awful smell in the hall in front of the basketball court. I think that for the amount of money each member pays, this gym should be cleaner, maintained and their equipment should be better kept. Some of the machines don't glide well.

Looks like I'll have to begin shopping for a new location!

Been going to this gym (Methuen) for many years. Also referred many along the years. The past year I have been very disappointed in the upkeep of the gym overall...especially the pool. I have reported big black bugs around and in the pool water, small black flying bugs in the showers and filthy floors, moldy walls...saddening. Heard there was new management but haven’t seen any improvements. ☹️

Very disappointed in the staff’s response to my complaint about gum found in the steam room. I saw it and mentioned it to the front desk , the next day saw it the gum there again and I complained that nothing was done. Several days have gone by and to my surprise found the gum still there. For the amount I pay every month I expected a cleaner facility and a more responsive staff.

While I like the facilities and classes, the gym is a social gathering. Especially in the woman’s area and locker room. It’s super distracting when you run on a treadmill and the person next to you is loudly video chatting on their phone. Or lifting weights only to realize you are directly in the background of a video chat. Or you want t do sit-ups on a mat but there’s 3 women sitting playing on their phones. If I was more comfortable I’d just use the equipment in the general area. Love having a sauna t relax in after a workout but again people are alway video chatting or super loud on the phone (Complete opposite of relaxing after a workout). If you want to sit around and chat or need a place to make all your phone calls while pretending to workout this is the place for you

Honstely idk why I left Choice Fitness for this place. Biggest mistake ever. Everything from the customer service to the trainers suck. Let me breakdown my experience...

When I first visited this site I came with my brother who is mentality disable. We get approached by one of the sales guy named Eric and he turns to my brother asks him if he “Just got out?”. For those who don’t understand slang that’s a term for asking someone if they just got out of prison. My brother isn’t up to date with fashion and a lot of clothes are from back in the day but that didn’t give Eric the right to feel comfortable enough to speak to my disabled brother in manner. I should of known then my experience was going to get worse!

I join the gym without my brother bc I didn’t want him to continue to get micro aggressed. Day one I walk by the smoothie bar and asked if they make vegan smoothies, some girl on her phone said no and went back to her phone. I then read the menu and they did have vegan soy based smoothie yet she couldn’t point it out to me.

Weeks pass and I find myself speaking the staff at the front and I asked them if this gym has an app so I can book a class in advance and they all start to laugh and one of mention that this gym is too “ghetto” for stuff like that. Smh that left a bad taste in my mouth that an employee would say especially when I feel like I’m paying double the price as I would at Choice Fitness and it’s considered to be “ghetto”.

This is when I got fed up!

I was out of work for a week and wasn’t going to pay the following week and that day was the day the payment for the gym was oppose to come out. With my experience with Choice Fitness I would just call ABC financial and they would just change the date to a future one. NOT THIS GYM. I called 5 days before my payment date and I got the manger Gail on the phone. Let me know ya this lady is super rude! I explained to her my situation and she said that they will still try to take the money out even if it not there. She offered no solution whatsoever which was very upsetting to me because I’m trying to avoid getting an NSF fee from my bank. Bc of her lack of empathy and zero solution I mention that I would like to cancel my membership and her response to me was “You can afford the cancellation but you can’t afford the monthly payment”. When she said that I immediately made my mind up to leave this place. How dare she question my finances. It’s none of her damn business what my finances are. When I tell you the vibes here BAD they are BAD! I regret leave Choice Fitness! They were super flexible over at that gym I can’t wait to return to them. Today I’m going to just have them cancel everything and put it on my charge card bc that’s how upset I am with the service I’ve received. I willing to put up all this credit just to no longer deal with them. Save your coins and go somewhere! The headache is not worth it here.

. Honestly, this is what I tell everyone. For what you pay at this club I believe that it is a good deal for what you get. There is a pool, a basketball court,. Sauna and steam room in the mens' locker room. classes, a spa next door that is not affiliated but in the same building. There is always plenty of parking and the area is secure. Check it out for yourself.

I've been a member at this gym for 5 years now. The only thing keeping me at this gym is the basketball court and SOME of the friends I made while here. This gym has got worse over the years.

IT IS A MESS!

People don't re-rack their weights and if they do they rack them in the wrong spot. It's just a total mess. You're lucky if you're not tripping over something wherever you walk. The workers don't keep up with it either.

If you are close to any other latitude it may be worth your money BUT NOT IN METHUEN.

Horrible smelling bathrooms - track reverses direction every other day which sux! People on the phone are super rude, especially billing! I had been paying to go to this gym for months without an actual visit and they wouldn't wave a 30 day notice to cancel, and wouldn't let me cancel over the phone and hung up on me. They are not accommodating and will dig for your money every chance they get! Their staff turnover for personal training is so fast you can't even go a few months with out having to change. Wouldn't recommend this gym.

I'm a new member, my complain is that they are supposed to close at 10 but they start to close at 9:30, I mean sometimes you're exercising in one zone and if you move from that zone they start to turn off everything, I asked one time why They do that and the answer was that they are tire and they wanna leave as soon as posible, the other thing is that the weight equipment, many of them are damaged. I'm making this complaint cause I think that latitude is the most expensive club in the zone, and I think that the ownership should take a little bit more care of the equipment and the crew.

I agree with some reviews that it has gone down hill over the years, I simply canceled my membership because the mens' lockers continuously smelled filthy and I begged for 3 years to have some sort of air purifying system going, but instead they have Home Depot blowers moving stinky air around... the staff at the front desk seem to spend too much time texting rather than help customers, please put your phones away and act professional! Never tried the classes but always seem full anyways. That being said, I like the layout and the place has potential, just not being maximized for $45 a month.

I have been going there for over three years. I love Lisa who has always been accommodating. I love the gym but have two complaints. One being that they close early on the weekends and the other that the pool is not always available to members that pay for it. I have never had anything stolen from my locker or car and all the other members have been very nice and will even help if you do not know how to do something. Everytime i go there is always someone vacuuming and cleaning. I fo not know where these other people go but their standards must be that of a millionaire.

I am a prior member. I absolutely loved the spin classes, but there are a lot more negative. Extremely dirty and moldy locker rooms/shower/changing rooms. The weights are never re racked and the staff could care less about your valid complaints. Not to mention the poor parking and the high incidence of theft in the parking lot and inside the gym. If you want to go to a gym to say you go to a gym. This is the place.

They don't got that much for the weight lifting but they are equipped with the basic so yall "gym rats" can deal with it but it has its own indoor basketball court and pool. sauna and spa. With a variety of other equipment so you can use it for quite the HITT workout place. its not perfect so I am not giving it 5 stars.(but what place is)

Latitude Sports Club is easily the worst gym I've ever stepped foot into. It looks great from the outside and when you walk in its huge and looks awesome till you start walking around the place working out, you notice some things. First the bolts on their benches are not tight, the benches are very wobbly. Second, there are weights all over the ground along with bars, and yoga mats. Third, nobody knows how to put the weights back, they just leave them on the bars and walk away. Fourth, the machines are not oiled so with every pull is a nice loud screech and takes extra strength to get it down due to it not being oiled up. Fifth, there is no chalk around and the gym is very hot so your hands get super sweaty and their bars don't have good grip, it's very smooth on the bars so if your hands are sweaty it can slip right out of your hands, which is why chalk is needed. I asked them and chalk is banned in the gym. Sixth, there is no clips, I saw maybe 1 clip laying around. Seventh, the weight racks are numbered to where the weights should be, none of them match up, you have 25 lb dumbells next to 85 lb dumbells next to 110lb dumbells. Lastly, there is garbage all over the ground, empty bottles, paper towels, etc.. I'm sure I'm forgetting a bunch of stuff but I couldn't believe this place. If you're ever in the New England area never come here. It's a terrible gym and they charge way too much, I paid $50 for a week pass here and am very disappointed with what I got out of it.

Stay away from this gym, it is awful. The management will lie to get you to sign up for a membership. The gym is old and many pieces of equipment are broken and remain broken. They rarely clean equipment, you can always find trash in the cup holders of the cardio equipment. The locker rooms smell disgusting, and the shower curtains are covered in mold. This place is way over priced and they treat you horribly. I read alot of bad reviews but it was closest to where I work so I though it can't be that bad, and I was wrong. Truly an awful overpriced gym!

Methuen club has drastically declined. Equipment is all falling apart, mens locker room is disgustingly filthy, air quality is that of sweat (hello board of health), mold is growing in various places, you can never get into the pool because there are constant swim lessons when we grown ups get out of work, spoken to management (Lisa) on several occasions and nothing ever changes, the spa is constantly broken or chlorine mixture is off and burns you. The Methuen club is a hot and unhealthy mess. I will be moving my membership to Work out World where the guarantee at least 2 lanes open for swimming and it is much cleaner! Many of the other folks I work out with or try to swim with will be doing the same. Good Luck Methuen Latitudes!

As a new member to this gym, my experience so far, has exceeded my expectations which was loosely based on previous reviews. I needed an environment that could compliment my primary work out of P90X I was doing at home. I needed variety, and this gym fits my bill. It offers a swimming pool facility with a hot tub, a variety of classes (ps. they will be including a P90X class soon! oh yeah!), a track, private women's workout area, cardio sector, pilates and an appeasing weight room. The open and airy space continues to supplement with even more incentives that would make an ordinary weekend with the family, more fun and relaxing. With amenities like a basketball court for kids and daddy to let off some energy, a steam room & sauna in each bathroom to relax in after a hard core workout, one would find it almost indulgent to discover a spa connected to the gym.
The entire staff was inviting, courteous, and professional. My orientation began with Lisa, who customized and incorporated my personal incentives into the tour of the facility with effortless grace. She answered my questions and was sure to be attentive to me while I was waiting for my husband to finish his evaluation.
I was scheduled to meet with Mr Erik Bruce for my complimentary fitness consultation. He is the current Regional Director of Fitness at Latitude, and although he is managing more than one center, I was struck by how attainable he seemed and expressed to be. One could feel how passionate he was about his vocation. His intentions were clear, he wanted to get to know my husband and I, in order to cater better to our individual needs.
I experienced his unwavering professionalism first hand when I arrived for my appointment which was scheduled at the precipice of an event scheduled to start later that day. Although he was multitasking and helping transition rooms for the event, he still, unflustered, kept my appointment and gave me undivided attention customizing a workout routine that catered to my injuries, weaknesses and needs.
Although I shower at home I found the bathrooms and locker area to be clean and presentable.
I am looking forward to enjoying the quality of service that the Latitude team presents.
