⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5-Star Review for Personal Trainer Cliff Miller – Lifetime Fitness Westwood
Training with Cliff Miller at Lifetime Fitness in Westwood has truly been life-changing. Cliff is not just a personal trainer — he is a coach, a motivator, and a steady source of support who sees your potential even on the days you can’t see it in yourself.
After struggling with pain, fatigue, and a long break from the gym, Cliff brought me back with patience, skill, and an incredible ability to meet people exactly where they are. He challenges you in the best way possible — today he had me doing 48 squats, something I didn’t think I could ever do, and I walked out of the gym proud, smiling, and stronger than I’ve felt in years.
What sets Cliff apart is his energy, empathy, and professionalism. He pays attention to everything: hydration, form, mobility, mindset, recovery, and your individual needs. He doesn’t just train the body — he helps you refocus mentally, set intentions, and understand the “why” behind every exercise. His encouragement is real, and his belief in his clients is unwavering.
My InBody results have improved in weight, fat percentage, and muscle mass under his guidance, and he makes every session feel safe, purposeful, and empowering.
If you’re looking for a trainer who listens, pushes you appropriately, celebrates your wins, and helps you build confidence and strength from the inside out, Cliff Miller is the one you want. I can’t recommend him highly enough. He has been a blessing on my fitness journey, and I’m grateful for his dedication and genuine care.
Thank you, Cliff, for helping me rebuild my strength and reminding me what I’m capable of.

Cliff my stretch EXPERT saved my life! My business lifestyle requires me to travel long distance in a sedentary position in planes and cars which has impacted my flexibility and ability to workout effectively. Cliff understands my goals, pain points during each session and accommodates to my injuries. Thank you Cliff!!!

Someone just said it well before me. Love the gym hours , the staff but the corporate policies in place are mostly focused on making money. Nothing is wrong with making money as this is the business but not at the cost of long term loyal customers who have been paying memberships on a regular basis since the gym opened.
Two examples from today’s visit, arrived to the kids pool with my 5 year old who loves the mushroom waterfall - could not be turned on because of the private sessions . So 10 kids suffer because 4 kids paid $50 each for a 30 minute private sessions and there were two in a row during my son’s visit - one session had only 1 kid and the next one had 4.
So making $250 an hour for the gym. Ok - I have known about this policy - what made the experience worth today , the lifeguard came to the pool and collected 4 hand paddle boards as the kids are not allowed to use the gym’s once , only the once they bring - now that’s ridiculous in my opinion. But well - with no other options around , I guess - we have to continue to “ follow the rules “.

The facilities are great and the pool is lots of fun so why the 2? When I registered and spoke with the staff who had me sign up, I very specifically asked about only using the facilities during the summer to get access to the pool. I was assured that would be possible and I was able to put my membership on hold from September till May of this year since I had 0 interest in going during those months.
Lifetime has changed their SOP, and the membership concierge lead must have said that statement to me 5x in a 3 minute call, and then tried to explain to me that I need to pay for months I won't use the gym because if everyone paused their membership till the summer the gym wouldn't make any money.
Very suspect to change your policies after telling families they can sign up for when they need too. I was told "we're sorry to see you go" which is just untrue.

I have been a member for years but the prices keep rising and they are taking away features instead of adding. If we were paying more for more features it would make sense but every time I go I’m waitlisted for classes and told I cannot use all the facilities. Restricted pool use restricted kids academy - for all the money we are paying they really need to figure it out.

No, just no. I’ve been to this gym for over seven years with my dad, and I don’t know why he still goes here. First off for little children, my 9 year old child was swimming in the lap pool, and the lifeguard kicked him out, even though he was actually doing laps. Wow! Just why, it’s not like he’s playing in it. As well as the membership, my dad’s never told me how much he pays for the membership, but I searched it up and it said. 250. Now let’s all remember, the average gym membership is 10-150 a month. TWO HUNDRED FIFTY?! That’s crazy. And parking too, I mean it’s not the gyms fault but every time we get there we get there around 3-3:30. All the spots are taken and we have to go to the very back and walk all the way to the lobby. In some places the gym is clean, in other places… not the same.

I have been going to Lifetime since it opened. It is a beautiful gym with great facilities and workers. I have had a good experience overall. With that being said, I am deeply disappointed with many aspects of the club. The rising prices are out of control. The sheer volume of people at the gym, especially during the summer, is out of control. Lifetime Management must be more interested in packing the club full of people like sardines to make more money rather than the guest experience for loyal members. The pool is out of control. Kids gone wild with little parent supervision. Kids splashing in the hot tubs. Food and wrappers left on the pool chairs. Do better lifetime. Stop prioritizing money and summer memberships at the expense of loyal members.

Oversold & has come to feel more like a daycare that just happens to have a gym. $280/month + $140/month for a four reformer Pilates class pack… and yet there’s not a single place to park.
We seem to have different ideas of what classifies as “luxury.” Life Time Westwood unfortunately misses the mark. Go to the Chestnut Hill location or save your money. Or better yet, burn it.

For the price, the gym is filthy (much dirtier than other Lifetime locations)… the locker room is generally disgusting and their group class studios have giant dust balls flying around and used cleaning wipes left on the floor for days. There are constantly issues with something, for instance the steam room. The group classes are unoriginal (the barbell strength class is remarkably similar to Les Mills’ Bodypump). Staff (especially working at the front desk and GMs) are rude and generally unhelpful. All in all, compared to other Lifetime locations, this one seems to be badly mismanaged.

The best part about this location is the Life Cafe staff members. Lenit and the supervisor are incredibly nice and customer focused. Thank you!! 5 stars here. they provided a solution when ordering through the app when my order did not go through.
The 2 stars goes to the dayshift, morning/afternoon front desk team. Not the most welcoming. I overheard one of the staff gentlemen making fun of a guest photo, so classy...

I just signed up but looking to cancel soon. Very rude front desk morning/evening staff. I had my 1 on 1 for an hour after i signed up. We went over few programs and the conversation was about bad mouthing other staff members. I played along to see what this club is truly about and its a toxic work enviroment meaing they will treat the customers bad.
The front desk staff is a front and a fake and they know it...
The night shift and life cafe staff are polite and welcoming, thank god.

I see a good amount of negative reviews here that I don’t fully understand or agree with. I love this gym, obviously it is expensive but we have found it to be worth it. My wife and I bring our toddler to the kids academy sometimes and he loves it. I play basketball here and it’s great. I’ve found the locker room to be super clean, in fact there’s constantly staff actively cleaning while I’ve been there. I don’t think any gym in the area is anywhere near as nice as this place. Also, in my experience other members tend to love the gym as well.

DO NOT SIGN UP AT THE THIS GYM!!!
Please read this review before signing up
I've been a loyal member at this gym since they opened in 2015. To say the quality and experience has dramatically decreased over that time is a gigantic understatement. When you pay $260/month you expect a luxury experience, which this gym fails to deliver.
Recently, I was notified that my membership will be increased $10/month due to "economy reasons". Keep in mind they are increasing the membership prior to opening the outside pool, how convenient. I believe this increase is extremely petty and insulting.

I had an unpleasant incident with a lifeguard at Westwood location. She was using a cleaning product with a strong odor near where I was exercising. This product can trigger my asthma. I asked her if she could do it after the class. She flatly refused. I would have moved, but the class was full. I reported it to the manager and her response was to question why the chlorine in the water didn't bother me! Given the high membership fees, I think they should do better.

I just moved from north shore to south shore and my recent experience with Lifetime has been a huge disappointment. The difference between the North Shore and South Shore locations is shocking. The North Shore location offers a state-of-the-art gym with a wide variety of classes, modern equipment, and excellent amenities. The facilities are always clean, and the staff is friendly and attentive. This is what I expected when I became a member.
However, the South Shore location is drastically different. The class offerings are incredibly limited, and for anyone with commitments during business hours, there are almost no options available. The equipment is outdated and in poor condition, and the overall cleanliness of the facility is inconsistent, which is unacceptable for a premium gym. I expected the same experience at both locations, especially since the membership fee is the same. It’s frustrating to pay the same amount for a significantly lower-quality experience.
I’m deeply dissatisfied. The disparity between these two locations is not something I can overlook, and it’s extremely disappointing that Lifetime Fitness would allow such a difference in service between their locations.

The experience at Life Time Pickleball has gone downhill, and I can no longer recommend it!
Since the new manager took over at Life Time Pickleball, the experience has significantly declined. She has implemented numerous rules at the court, which might have good intentions, but the club lacks proper enforcement. Instead, the system is being misused to grant privileges to certain people, creating an unfair playing environment. One time, when I signed up for open play, there were 20 players rotating on just two courts, while the third court was occupied by a group (6 people) with personal connections to the manager’s associates. The rule states that the maximum capacity is 16 players for three-court-open play, yet only two courts were being used for open play, completely disregarding the rule. This favoritism has made the environment unfriendly and chaotic.
I attempted to address my concerns with the manager, but unfortunately, she was dismissive and unwilling to listen. Her approach is unprofessional and authoritative, making constructive dialogue impossible.
If you’re looking for a place to play pickleball, you deserve better than this!

I am deeply disappointed with the way Lifetime handled a recent situation at their daycare. A 4.5-year-old child was banned for three months because of hitting incidents. While this behavior can be challenging, it's not unusual for children of that age, especially when they’re adjusting to a new environment. I met the mother, who shared that they had recently moved from overseas, which makes this even more heartbreaking. Instead of addressing the issue with understanding and guidance, the manager and teacher chose an overly harsh and aggressive approach.
Banning a young child for three months is not a solution—it's punitive and lacks compassion. Lifetime should invest in proper training for their staff to handle such situations better. I expected a more professional and empathetic approach, especially from a facility that prides itself on being family-friendly. This was a very disappointing experience.

They keep raising their monthly dues, they keep removing gym equipment, and the arrangement of the equipment makes no sense. The gym itself lacks a lot of the basics, and they changed their kids academy hours during the day, 8-12 and 4-8 where they used to be all day, and they no longer open at 4am Friday - Sunday. They limit their hours, the raise prices of food, spa and membership and we’ve got little return. Membership is now over $300!!
This isn’t the original lifetime that opened where the members came first and foremost and what makes sense for bringing a “luxury” health club to the area. Very disappointing. Corporate greed seems to be the direction they’re going over a strong business model that is customer service based. They’re saving $ where they can while charging more for less luxury and less amenities.
I highly recommend the the GM get more equipment like Peabody has and rearrange the location of the machines. They have a leg press in front of a mirror and a squat rack against a window? The fly machines are way too close to the pull-up machine. They need a larger dumbbell area and more benches. There is a lot of wasted space. Who up the corporate ladder was hired to arrange the equipment like this? With as much money as this company brings in, they could do a whole lot better with what they offer in the gym.
They made a large opening for people to walk to pickle ball and removed gym equipment months ago and never replaced it. This is a GYM first and foremost and should be the focus.
The locker rooms are also not that clean, and the lockers themselves are filthy inside and the locks always get stuck even if you enter right combo. It’s not worth the price. As a “luxury” club that charges over $300/month they need to do BETTER
Lots of frustrations with this gym.

Horrible, Horrible, Horrible. Do not go to Lifetime Westwood. If I could give negative stars I would. Our three-year-old son sustained two injuries within a month. Despite the club management’s denial of any responsibility, we believe there is a significant oversight in the safety measures implemented at the children’s academy. This has led us to lose confidence in the institution’s ability to ensure the safety of our children. Two photographs attached for two separate incidents, one of which involved a bite on his face and the other a bloody scratch on his face.

A nice place to take family to the pool. A lot better then the Framingham location. The front desk man was polite and warm and had a good energy. The Framingham location has two really cold and abruptly mean people there that led me to believe that was the standard but Westwoods ambience and the people there are a lot more chill. No alcohol served but not a problem the place is clean and people who work here seem most part cool and friendly to the families who bring there kids there. We get it. Kids are a lot of work but a place like this to spend the day is special to the kids and the people make the experience better.

This place is so overcrowded in the summertime. It’s like management just can’t say no to $$$$. And it’s making the core members upset. And as a member of this gym since February 2017., It’s sad. If you want to shoot hoops, FORGET ABOUT IT. They took down half for pickleball and the other half of the court is used for camp. I remember the days when pro athletes could be seen shooting around in the gym. Those days are gone! Who makes the decision here?
I remember the days when the memberships were $159/month for a luxury experience. Now there are kids everywhere, I feel like I go to an elementary school to workout, which is why I try my best to be in and out BEFORE 9AM
Now people pay $250/month for the same ran down equipment. Only treadmills that are new are the ones used for classes.

This gym doesn't give luxury experience. It's more of a glorified babysitter for teenagers. The women's locker isn't relaxing, the equipment are dated especially the weight area and the women's sauna makes a ton of noise. It's really hard to relax in the women's sauna. I wish Lifetime really created a luxury experience and starting with the bathroom. Also at other gyms I've seen area where kids can change separately from adults. This doesn't have it. Parents ain't controlling their kids especially these teeenage girls that are very entitled and trash the place.

I don’t typically write reviews especially with an active membership. But here I am, at the outdoor pool with my two kids . My 11 year old was just asked to get out of the lap lane he was in. I go up to the lifeguard to ask why he was asked to get out. In response I was asked how old he is. When I respond with 11 . She says “Are you sure ?” . I feel that is so rude and unprofessional. There’s no reason a child should be asking me if I am sure about my son’s age. I approached someone who looked like a manager seconds later to let her know my interaction with the life guard. She went on about how there are parents and kids crossing lanes and jumping off the boards …… I don’t care what is happening with other parents and children . Acknowledgment of what just happened to me apologizing for your employees rude behavior and making sure what other people do doesn’t ruin customer service experiences should be your priority. Not “theres a way of saying things” &I’ll talk to her . Maybe if you guys have age restrictions for certain areas you should create wrist bands to better identify age groups. That way your rude employees aren’t making assumptions & ruining experiences.

I work across the street and it is incredibly convenient, every staff member I’ve interacted with has been very friendly but the one who stands out the most is Gabe. I am 22 years old, and this creepy manager man was making strange comments at the front desk, treating me like i’m 12, and telling me to “behave” in a weird tone when i brought my friend in as a guest. I’ve had a membership with lifetime since i was 16-17, super uncomfortable experience. Also they charge an extra 40 dollars with the guest pass to use the pool during the week? I really wanted to like this gym. Equipment is okayish but not what you would expect from a high-end gym. Customer service was lacking. I was locked out of my locker due to their locker malfunctioning, and I needed it unlocked, so I went to the front desk. The person checking people in, I think his name might have been Brian told me to go wait by the locker for a staff member. After ten minutes and no staff member, I went back to the desk and was told to go wait by the locker again. This went on 3x until I asked them to just have the staff member meet me by the desk instead. They were unable to find the other staff member and did not have a second key to unlock my locker. They were rude and blamed it on the fact that the second staff member on duty didn't speak English. They were unable to find the second staff member until 55 minutes later. I asked to have the club manager call me, but they didn't bother to do that. I just wanted to provide them feedback that they made me an hour late to my appointment because of their disorganization, and I wanted to suggest keeping a second key somewhere else. I gave the club the benefit of the doubt, but they didn't even care to return my call. I would suggest signing up elsewhere if you're looking for a new gym.

I would still give 4-5 stars because of the group fitness classes only, but you continue to go up on the price too often. Since our return from covid, my dues have gone up by $20/month. Not the end of the world, but when I deactivated my family member, I suddenly saw a $30/month plus the $10 change fee assessed. I could not get a logical explanation from anyone why this happened, but they concluded that my year of joining must have experienced a membership increase and that the system assigned that new monthly fee. Even more suspicious is I should have only paid $80/month instead of the $110/month I was charged for him. There was no effort on anyone's part to adjust my rate to what it was before I added the family member two months ago! All I can say is be careful when you make membership changes of any kind. When I terminated, they had the nerve to tell me I would be paying $30 less than the new people joining. Thanks but no thanks! Three strikes = out! Yes, this is my third time quitting this place.

WORSE customer service. I've been told "NO" at every corner every time I ask for something by this gym. I've been a member since day 1 they opened (with some gaps in between) for myself, my spouse and my two sons at one point or another.
I've never spent this much money with one company just to have them say no to me at every request.
1. gym was un-usable for 3 weeks on different areas, it was unclear everyday which part of the gym was not usable. the yoga studio? the floor? I asked for a 3-week extension on my membership. they said no. gave me a $50 "salon" credit instead - which basically buys you nothing at this place. the only thing a $50 credit would do is make me spend money. no thanks.
2. i briefly terminated my account for 40 days when I Decided to come back. it happened to be december so the price had gone up....again. it's now at $240/month. The price goes up every year at this place. I missed the "30 day" policy to renew accounts so had to pay the higher rate. I asked for an exception. they said NO.
3. My mother needs help so I had to travel for 4 weeks and needed my account paused. Apparently you need a 30 days notice. I asked for an exception. they want a medical letter - what a gross violation of privacy. They said NO. Needless to say, i'm on the hook for $240 this month.
I went on here to write this review and saw how many 1-stars they have complaining about rude staff etc... I'm not surprised. I also noticed the owner only bothered to reply back to about 3 or 4 negative reviews.
This level of unprofessionalism is indicative of how little they care for us members shelling out hundreds of dollars to the gym every month. I never expected this at a gym that looks like a resort.
Very disappointed, and I'm sure no one will be calling or emailing me to try and make anything right. I'll be lucky if I get a canned response from the owner on this public review.

Gym constantly under maintenance, something or the other is not working.
I get preventive maintenance but simply closing out certain sections or even floors is just unacceptable for the premium that we pay as members.
Hand towels are always out and steam smells like a urinal, sauna is full of chlorinated water.
There is always something under construction in this gym with no regards to safety tools lying all over the cardio.
Also, every other day you will probably get locked out even though you enter correct locker code.

Lifetime was something completely new in 2018. Luxurious locker rooms. Towels provided. Equipment you never knew even existed. Whirlpools, steam rooms, and saunas.
Now it’s 200$ on average per month. I am pretty sure there isn’t that many rich people in Westwood MA to pay that without providing something exceptional.
Locker rooms basically a prime target for thieves. Case in point notices are posted don’t put items of value in your lockers.
Whirlpools in the locker rooms are a giant wash machine for sweaty underwear. What does that mean. It means grown sweaty men jump in with their sweaty underwear.
Whirlpool out in the public not locker room. A man with just boxers on decides to walk out with pool area full of kids. I tell him to leave or wear proper CLEAN wear. He leaves and complains to a cleaning staff that I told him to leave. Cleaning staff proceed to say he was covered so you can’t tell them to leave. I get it I don’t own lifetime but when you try to wash your underwear in public I draw the line.
This place can be killed with any properly managed upscale facility.

Front desk staff is very unprofessional and rude. I has some issues with the gym charging me for services that I cancelled in the past and no one could attend to it for quite some time, although I was emailing, calling and coming in in person . This time when I had a question about a charge on my card the front desk employee replied :’ what else are we pretending to have an issue with? ‘ how rude and unprofessional ? I’m paying my dues to get insulted by front desk staff? Very disappointed !

Pros: Love the yoga instructor (Rhianne B).
Cons: Dirty, Expensive, facility closures, unfriendly and lazy staff.
It used to be a nice place to workout and enjoy yourself, now it turned to a stable without any rules.
Advise to Management: Don't charge people full membership fees if you are going to close some your facilities, also hire competent team members to up keep the gym and not people that are only there for the free membership.

Really nice club with friendly employees and above average facility.
They do seem to have a staffing issues as of late as the cleanliness of the facilities went down a bit but when specific issues were communicated to the management, they are being addressed really fast.
Its a really nice place to come with the family and their kids play area is outstanding! The staff is great with kids and is really helpful.
Overall, well worth the money as there is nothing even close to this in the area, unless you are traveling to Chestnut Hill for Equinox but you cant beat the convenience of Life Time and its operating hours.

STAY AWAY this gym is overly crammed with people and kids running around unsupervised. Machines upstairs are never cleaned, lazy employees and mens locker room is FILTHY ! (you will actually never see them being cleaned only towels being picked up). Way to many of there own employees working out taking space, also standing around gossiping. Way way overpriced for what you get !. I have no idea how so many members can pay 200$ a month for this gym (as in there has to be some sort of deal discount for kids or students and employees free). Will be my last month and cancelling

Life Time Fitness is stealing people's money. I went there 3 weeks ago to use a day pass for the outdoor pool. I was charged $50 dollar per person, which was okay with me. Then, today I went again on my girlfriend birthday and they were charging a $100 per person. I guess this stealing on my opinion. I called another Life Time fitness and they told me that they only charge $50 per person. Please someone should take a look onto this matter. I was also planning on joining the club and I guess they lost a customer forever. They are very rude and unprofessional as well, so please becareful when you go there.

-Dirty in certain areas
-Indirect racism. My wife of asian descent wore a mask and the gym goers here definitely whispered something as I can hear it.
-Some staff needs to be train on customer service. For the price you pay at this gym, you'd think the customer service would be great but nope.

My great experience with Life Time was marred by their cancellation process/policies. First they need 30 days to cancel your membership - so you will get charged an additional month. Written in legalese into their contract apparently, and let's not forget the $10 charged for processing the cancellation. Clearly Life Time technology department uses technology from the 80s which require a month and $10 to process a cancellation.
Would not have been surprised to have this happen at Planet Fitness...did not expect it of Life Time. 2.5 stars

As a young Hispanic male my family and I have been a member since 2015. Have been to multiple clubs in different cities and this club is by far the worst! The level of professionalism wasn’t up to par at all. Which shouldn’t even be the case, being that it’s a $200+ membership. I’ve seen lifetime grow as years went on and I’ve never seen the price keep rising so quickly. Every-time it’s different I come in some days with no problem and others saying it’s a $30 difference. Bottom line work with your customers stop asking for more money especially if I’m visiting this club from a different state. I’ve been attending this lifetime for the past year once in a while being that I’m in college visiting from my home club. Just yesterday, I came in and two white men were making me feel very uncomfortable along with my guests not wanting to work with me not even letting me into the club at first. If I need to upgrade my diamond membership someone should’ve came out to assist me not keep repeating in a rude manner “you don’t have access to this gym” EMBARRASSING US consistently with a rude tone and with chuckles in their voice. These two employees need to be checked RACISM shouldn’t be going on in a gym like this or at all it’s 2022!

Turnover for staff here is horrible, most of the personal trainers only last a few months tops. I do like it here though, its usually not overly crowded as long as you do not go at peak times. However, I do wish the weight section was bigger, with all the space here I think they could add more than a few benches. I don't like how they keep raising the price every so often, I've been a member for a long time and I wish they took things like that into consideration.

Love our trainers. 10/10 for them all. Giuliana D. of Warrior Sculpt, Julie S. of SHRED, Angela M. of CRT and Strictly Strength, Diane K. of BarreFusion, Debbie J. of Hatha Yoga, Tony C, personal trainer, and Diane S. Pilates trainer. So much love for them ALL and the passion and effort they put into their work each and every class I have attended.
Front desk and support staff Monica, Jane and Karen, have also been super friendly and welcoming each time I have visited the premise. Julia of Life Cafe has been a pleasure and makes a mean smoothie. Dylan Read, friend since freshman year of college, has been the most welcoming to myself and other members. And lastly but certainly not least, the locker room janitorial staff have done a great job keeping the locker rooms clean and guest friendly.
Life Time couldn't be represented by a better group of individuals here at the Westwood location. Thank you so much for everything that each of you do for this community and for this wonderful experience that is Life Time Fitness, Westwood.
Sincerely,
Michael Musto

I really have to commend the General Manager here. I listened to a lady birate him because her family and her decide to work out before coming to the pool and the pool went on a wait list because they were at capacity. The GM was very pleasant even though the guest was being very unrealistic. I'm not sure how much more the manager could have done to communicate as you get a push notification if the pool is at capacity to your AP and to your email. After she spent a good 20 minutes yelling at the guy in front her kids and our kids they swam for 5 minutes and then left. They kids look mortified.
