Established in March 2021, LIFT Get Fit offers group fitness classes and personal training in North Andover, Massachusetts. Specializing in strength training and functional movements, LIFT Get Fit caters to adults and teenagers of all fitness levels in a supportive community environment.

Joining Lift has been an awesome experience! I really appreciate the friendly community vibe over a crowded gym. All the trainers are super kind, attentive, and helpful in helping me get back in shape. The gym is clean with lots of natural light, and the classes are both enjoyable and demanding. I see myself working out at Lift long term and highly recommend!

LIFT Get Fit is hands down the best gym I’ve ever been a part of. It has everything I need for a great workout. Top-notch equipment, a clean and organized space, and best of all, no crowds or uncomfortable feeling of being watched or recorded. The environment is welcoming, safe, and refreshingly free of distractions, making it the perfect place to focus and feel confident while training. There’s also tons of parking, which makes every visit that much easier.
But what truly sets my experience apart is my incredible trainer, Matt Scanlon. Matt has been instrumental in helping me build muscle and dramatically improve my balance. He’s not only knowledgeable and professional, but also incredibly attentive and adaptable. He takes the time to understand my physical limitations and consistently modifies exercises to suit my needs, without compromising the challenge or the results. His approach is both motivating and empowering, and I’ve seen real, measurable progress thanks to his guidance.
If you’re looking for a gym that has everything you need without the stress, and trainers who genuinely care about your goals and well-being, I can’t recommend LIFT Get Fit and Matt & Emily highly enough. Five stars all the way!

Emily, Lift's owner has from day 1 made me feel welcome into a gym and environment that I felt intimidated by. She truly cares about every single client, their well being and slowly but surely you become part of the "Lift family", a tight caring family, may I say. My previous trainer Matt Scanlon has since joined the Lift family and I love taking his Saturday class as he has trained me for over 10 years and he is one of the best around!

Having been away from the gym scene for a while, Matt Scanlon made it extremely easy to get back into the routine of working out and sticking with it! He is motivating and accommodating to individuals needs as well as making you work hard towards your goals. My original plan was to just have him jump start my working out for a few months and then joining a regular commercial gym, but 3 years later , I am still there!!! Highest of recommendations!!

I’m fairly new to Lift but I was immediately taken by the family friendly atmosphere Emily has created with her clientele. The facility is spacious,clean, neat and well equipped. You won’t go wrong if you give Lift a try.
I came to Lift when my trainer, Matt, choose to move his operations there. Matt is great. He friendly but also strict when comes to form. He listens and adjusts to change as necessary. He’s the only reason that I continue my weekly regiment, even on those bad mornings.

I’ve had many trainers over the years, but Matt is by far the best I’ve ever worked with. He is incredibly motivating, highly knowledgeable, and truly invested in helping his clients achieve their goals. Since working out with Matt, I’ve seen noticeable results. My husband & I have been working with Matt for over 3 years. Not a one size fits all Trainer, Matt works with the individual to identify goals & develop programs to meet those goals. Matt is knowledgeable, flexible and always concerned with continuous improvement, but never at the expense of safety or personal limitations. I have worked with other Trainers in the past, but no one compares to Matt.

I was looking for a gym to join that offered classes based on strength training and weight lifting. LIFT has blown away my expectations! I am able to slow down and focus on strength and form while training at my own pace! I am writing this as a recommendation for Lift, the gym I have come to love over the last few years. I am stronger today because of the motivation and dedication of our trainer, Emily Skaj. I would not be in the condition I am today, stronger than ever at 58 years of age. Lift offers services for teenagers, young adults, and people of all ages, including those nearing retirement. In addition to one-on-one classes, Emily offers classes for groups of 4 to 12 people.
I have been part of her classes for a few years, and, because of the communities she has created, I have formed bonds with people I would never have met otherwise. Lift is not just a typical gym; In the world we live in today, with mental health issues on the rise and many people working remotely, isolation has become a major problem. Emily offers an inexpensive, flexible, inviting, and therapeutic environment to combat these issues. Throughout the year, Emily creates fun events such as, but not limited to Saturday morning runs with your dog, salad-in-a-jar parties, and of course holiday get togethers. She also celebrates milestones in our lives, such as birthdays, anniversaries, and holidays. Moreover, she created an environment where we all support each other during unexpected life events, health or mental crises, providing a shoulder to lean on.

Lift is an amazing Space to be in! I was reluctant at first because I am not a Gym person. I went for a trial session with a friend and Emily was super great with me. She made me feel very at ease and like I was able to do it all.
I immediately put money down for future sessions because I wanted to make myself better. I’ve been doing one on ones with Emily and she takes me through all the workouts in ease and fun! I want to better myself and she makes it so easy even when I complain and groan about some of the hard workouts. Lol
I completely recommend Emily and Lift as a place to better yourself physically and mentally!

This gym is the best: quality equipment, clean facilities and a fun atmosphere. It's a non-judgmental space with knowledgeable and friendly staff. Even with all of the gym options in Boston, I drive up to Andover to get my sweat on at LIFT.
Personal training sessions are a must; it's a challenging workout that is new and fun every time.

What I love about Emily’s approach to working out, besides her passion for helping people achieve their fitness goals, is that she varies the workout routine so it never gets boring. She offers modifications when necessary due to injuries. She will gently push you but will always listen to the client’s concerns, especially if the proposed exercise is too strenuous (until she gets to know you, anyway!). I travel 35 min to the studio and actually look forward to my session. Well done, Emily!
