The Lifted trainers learn everyone’s names and treat you like you belong from day 1. The workouts are hard, smart, and efficient. The trainers offer personalized guidance and make sure every single person is class is challenging themselves. I leave every class feeling stronger and in a better mood. Lifted Fitness is hands down the best gym I’ve ever been to and the best part of my days. I’ve been going for four years now, and I’ve learned so much—how to work out properly, how to push myself, and how to use good form. Been going to lifted for almost 4 years and I could spend all day talking about how much I love this place. The workouts fly by, they change up every single day so you never get bored doing the same things and they truly train you like an athlete. Somehow this place has single handedly helped me completely get rid of my knee problems (I started always wearing knee braces and haven’t worn them in 3 years). I won’t go anywhere else and when I move out of Boston I’ll STILL attend the zoom class because that’s how much I love this place & the trainers.

Been coming here for over 3 years and I can say that trying out lifted fitness has easily been the best investment in my health and fitness I’ve ever made. The programming and set up is done for you- all you have to do is show up and that’s easy with the great location, parking, and awesome trainers.

While all my friends are complaining about aches and pains as they age, I feel stronger, faster and more athletic than I ever have with this functional training program that focuses on full body strength and all the stabilizer muscles that keep you healthy and happy.

I joined Lifted 5 years ago when I first moved to Boston and it was by far the BEST decision I ever made. The workout program they have is incredibly effective - I achieved my fitness goals and felt like the very best version of myself. I was scared to lift heavy weights at first because of the stigma around "getting bulky" but Pat and Mo changed my entire perspective of that. I can confidently say that Lifted is the reason why I got so toned and lean. The owners, Pat & Mo are two of the best people - they make you feel so welcomed and bring such a refreshing energy to every workout. Lifted is a place I genuinely looked forward to going to everyday, it changed my outlook on going to the gym and working out in general. I sadly just moved out of Boston and leaving this gym was one of the hardest (if not THE hardest) parts about leaving the city! I cannot say enough good things about this gym, or about Pat & Mo. I truly can’t say enough good things about Lifted. After playing lacrosse in college, I really struggled to find a gym environment that felt right for me, with structured workouts that I enjoyed, coaches I trusted, and a group atmosphere that pushed me in the best way. Once I found Lifted, it checked every box.

Just a few weeks before starting at Lifted, I decided to try out for the France national lacrosse team. After making the team, I knew I needed to get back into a consistent fitness routine that incorporated both athletic and strength training. Two months into training at Lifted, I played in my first tournament with the team. I can honestly say that without Lifted, I wouldn’t have been nearly as prepared. Fast forward another three months (now five months at Lifted), and I just competed in another tournament. This time, the improvement was even more noticeable. I felt great physically and saw real progress in my speed, strength, and endurance.

Even though I could tell I was making progress in the gym, seeing it translate in a competitive setting was so encouraging. It was a clear sign that the time and effort had been paying off. I truly credit that progress to the programming and structure of Pat and Mo’s workouts. Just as importantly, they’ve made Lifted a place I genuinely look forward to showing up to every day.

Pat and Mo are hands down the best! They pay close attention to form and technique, and they’re always there to offer corrections, modifications, or that extra push when you need it. Beyond their expertise, they’re also just great people. They know everyone by name, take the time to connect with you, and create an environment that feels positive, inclusive, and fun. Their energy is what sets the tone at Lifted. You can tell they truly care about the community they’ve built, and it makes all the difference.

I’d recommend Lifted to anyone looking for a gym that makes you feel stronger, confident, and motivated every day!

I have been a member of Lifted Fitness for almost 4 years now and it has been by the far the best gym I’ve been to in Boston (or anywhere really). The owners, Pat and Mo, have created such a welcoming, safe, unpretentious and fun space for everyone who works out there. They know everyone by their name and take the time to say hi to you individually when you walk through those doors. It’s the little things that go a long way! Beyond that, they have created a safe environment for me to explore and learn more about strength training. I had dabbled in it before but I really needed someone to correct my form and make sure I was doing the movements the right way. Pat and Mo and the other trainers on staff have helped me learn the right techniques and exercises to build the strength in my body that I was looking to achieve. I truly look forward to each class I attend - for the workout itself and for the people and community that are also there. I can't say enough good things about Lifted! As a women who has always been on the smaller side (I'm only 5'0"), I struggled to achieve that toned look I wanted, especially leading up to my wedding this fall. After trying countless workouts that focused heavily on intense cardio or conversely on small weight movements, I finally found results at Lifted.

From day one, I was welcomed by Mo and Pat, whose encouragement and expertise kept me motivated. They helped me understand the power of strength training and pushed me to lift heavier weights. The atmosphere at Lifted is fantastic. It’s not your typical workout class; there are no microphones or forced group workouts. Instead, you get the feel of personal training in a supportive group setting. You can go at your own pace, which is perfect for anyone who wants to focus on their own progress without the pressure of a traditional class environment.

On my wedding day, I felt absolutely amazing, and I truly credit my results to consistently going to Lifted. I can’t imagine leaving Southie because of this place!!

This gym changed my life. I walked into this gym almost 4 years ago. Two shoulder surgeries, no confidence, and no strength. I couldn’t believe I mustered up the courage to show up. My first session was a personal training with Mo, and the rest was history. After a few months, I finally built enough strength (and confidence) to try the group strength classes. Each strength class truly morphed me into the person I am today. It taught me discipline. For 4 years, I saw Mo every Thursday and went to atleast 3 plus classes a week (over 500 classes) where I met Pat. Pat makes everyone feel like family, and will always go out of his way to make sure you feel comfortable whether it is a new excerise they introduce or building up the courage to go heavier in weights. There was never a time that I felt intimidated being here. That is the type of energy this place brings. I met so many great people and Pat and Mo became family. I can’t thank them enough for what they have done for me as an individual. If you are on the fence about joining this gym (or any gym in particular) take this as your sign to sign up. You will not regret it. I recently moved to New York and I can say without a doubt this was my hardest goodbye. I’ll be back.

Such a motivating atmosphere! Happy to have found this gym a couple of years ago in Southie and sad to leave it as I move away from the area. The instructors are great at giving personalized attention to your form so it feels like a personal training session in a group setting. I started going to Lifted after getting engaged last March. I wanted to make a concerted effort to get back in shape and be consistent about working out. Just shy of one year later, I'm down 10 pounds and stronger that I've ever been. I'd never lifted before--I was much more of a cardio/Pilates/yoga kind of gal--but I'm never going back. The instructors are attentive and knowledgeable about correcting form and, most importantly, not condescending when doing so. I was so intimidated by just the idea of strength training initially, but everyone at Lifted is very kind and supportive. I also love that my workout is planned for me (with great music) and levels up slightly each week in order to challenge me at a reasonable pace. If you're nervous about strength training, this is a great place to start.

If I could give 10 stars I would! Lifted fitness helped me gain my confidence back after a traumatic event in my life and I can’t thank them enough. The owners (Pat & Mo) are welcoming, knowledgeable and genuinely good people. They care about every single person that walks thru their doors and make an active effort to make sure you feel comfortable during their classes. The 45 min classes FLY by and I always leave feeling energized and accomplished. Side note: when I first started taking classes at lifted I had knee pain that I’d dealt with for years… almost a year and a half later my knee pain is completely GONE! Since moving to Boston in 2016, I've taken workout classes at boutique fitness studios all over the city and I can confidently say that Lifted's classes are my favorite by far. Pat and Mo are awesome trainers (and just great humans in general), who really take the time to get to know each of their members and push them to do their best every workout. Do yourself a favor and get the unlimited class package -- if you commit to going 3-4x a week, I promise you'll see results. When I moved to Boston I was looking for a convenient gym that I could go to everyday and create structure for myself here in a new city. I had been a runner all my life, and had never lifted before. My cousin had joined Lifted and recommended I try it! I tried my first class back in December and have been hooked ever since. The class environment is perfect for someone who has never lifted before. I feel extremely comfortable pushing myself in the gym, and Pat and Mo are literally the best and give guidance when needed. I have nothing but good things to say about lifted. It is the best workout I have ever been to and the community within the gym is amazing. I owe so much to Lifted, and my transition to Boston. Lifted is absolutely amazing. I usually get very nervous when going to a new gym for the first time and prior to lifted I hadn't worked out in almost a year. Pat and Mo (and the other trainers at lifted) were truly the most welcoming trainers who really want to help you get to your goals and get stronger. My anxiety completely went away right after meeting Pat and Mo for the first time. The entire environment is so welcoming and being able to have a structured workout in 40 minutes made it so easy to fit into my daily routine. If I didn't move I never would have left this gym and being a part of it for the past 6 months helped me so much physically and mentally as well.
I honestly can't recommend Lifted enough and if you are reading this review because you are on the fence about joining I was once in your shoes and the only regret I have is not joining sooner!

After Boston Athletic Club closed down for Covid (and never reopened…?) I decided to try Lifted Fitness, thinking I’d only be there for a month or two. Ended up staying for 8 months and only left because I was moving to CA, and I wish this gym could’ve come with me. So many positive things to say about this gym:
•Pat and Mo are some of the best guys, they take time to get to know all the members
•The circuit style of classes was different from what I was used to, but challenging in the best way. 40 minutes and DONE
•Accommodating based on skill level or if you have injuries - trainers are always happy to suggest an alternative exercise
Overall, 10/10, 5 stars, whatever you need to get you to try this gym.

I used to dread gyms until I found Lifted Fitness and met their amazing team of trainers. I cannot speak highly enough of the owners, Mo & Pat. Not only are they incredible, knowledgeable and encouraging trainers but they will quickly become your best friend. They take the time to get to know everyone and understand their needs and goals. The small group classes are challenging yet fun and are truly designed for all levels of fitness. They offer such a variety that you never feel like you have the same workout twice. The real deal!!! Lifted's classes are fun, intense, and varied so you won't get bored doing the same thing over and over again. The classes are capped at a small size so the trainers offer a ton of individual attention, giving the class a personal-trainer vibe for a fraction of the price. I was hesitant to start strength training because I didn't want to bulk up, but these guys KNOW what they're doing. I've been training with Pat for over a year now and have lost more inches/felt stronger than I have after committing to any other exercise routine (spinning, barre, running...). Pat and Mo are genuinely smart and dedicated professionals who know how to have a good time but push you hard at the same time. Hands down best gym in Boston- check it out you won't regret it!
