I take a systematic, individualized approach to helping identify and reach specific health and fitness goals. Once these goals are established I work with the client to create a safe, effective and manageable plan that will optimize their mind and body. We work together to determine potential road blocks ahead of time and put into place effective strategies that will allow them to overcome these obstacles. Taking this approach makes success a matter of time and effort rather then trial and error.

I've worked with many personal trainers over the years, but Jake stands out as the best by far. His communication skills are exceptional, making every session both productive and enjoyable. Jake's deep knowledge of exercise science and nutrition ensures that each workout is tailored to my needs, helping me achieve my goals efficiently and safely. I began training with Jake in the fall of 2013 after parting ways with a different trainer who wasn't the right fit. I am physically disabled but unlike most, he isn't afraid to push me in ways that I never thought my body could do.
This past summer I trained with Jake three times per week in preparation for my semester abroad in Copenhagen. I never imagined that I would have the endurance to walk close to 5 miles each day but I'm doing it. I even opt for the stairs when I head to my class on the 5th floor!
The squats, deadlifts, and the deadly 1000 meter rows were worth it. I didn't even think about the idea of achieving physical independence but with the brutal workouts and Jake's confidence in me, I'm proving to myself that each mile I walk gets me that much closer to my goal. Train with Jake, you won't regret it unless you don't foam roll!

I love working out with Jake! Not only because he knows his craft but he also has a high EQ, he knows how to motivate his clients. PT sessions with him no matter how hard ( and it is usually hard:) still very pleasant. His knowledge and diligent pre-session work makes each session worth the effort. When I continue with my sessions with him I see results quickly since he knows how to push my limits and always further. One other quality that I like about Jake that he is very authentic and also very present with his client. And yes I have worked with many other trainers, they usually talk fast, give orders but they are never present. It makes a huge difference. I highly recommend Jake as a personal trainer.

Jake is a truly incredible personal trainer. He is dedicated to his clients and offers endless motivation for them to reach their goals. I trained with Jake when I was in high school and he completely changed the way I saw fitness and working out. My mind set went from wanting to look a certain way to trying to be the healthiest version of myself. Whether you're a man or woman, if you workout everyday or have never set foot on a treadmill, Jake will help you set and reach your fitness goals.

Jake's workout program has changed not only my body but my mind, too! Each and every workout challenges me mentally and physically. It truly never fails to push me to my limit and show me time and time again how strong this program has made me. I did not weigh myself for over a year because it simply did not matter any more. I felt great and was consistently seeing a difference in my body. Because of the varying workouts, I slowly but surely adjusted my eating to fit this new lifestyle. I found that when I would eat something bad, my workout would be that much harder. I have nicknamed this program 'Booty by Jake', because he kicks my butt and gives me a butt. All over a win-win. Not to mention he is an exceptional guy and trainer! Highly recommended if you are looking for a serious change in your appearance and overall outlook at the incredible things your body can do! I began working with Jake Louro November, 2014. I had been obese about 20 years with hypertension, high triglycerides and cholesterol, 50%body fat but most importantly never played with my kids - I didn't have the physical ability.
We started at the beginning doing what I could a couple times a week. We slowly increased to five times a week as I got stronger. He put me on a nutrition program that got me off statins and multiple cardiac drugs. Obesity is a chronic problem but I'm beating it. I was a healthy weight after 1 year with 25% body fat. My visceral fat by DEXA is only 0.5 lbs which is extremely healthy and my bone density is off the charts AND on the rise. I'm now 54. I started my journey at 53.
In year two I'm becoming stronger, athletic, unafraid to work out with younger athletic people. Jake's workouts are very challenging but never more than you can do if YOU decide to do it. He ups the workouts as you get faster, stronger, more mobile with better endurance.
If you are determined to transform, are coachable and show up ready to finish your workout and eat right, there's no better trainer then Jake. He's learning constantly and always upping his own game. It's fun to be on this journey right along with him. Prepare to be fierce!!!

jake is truly a life saver!!!!!
literally when i was quitting the gym and giving up on weight lose and health four months before my wedding in Aug 2012, i began working out with jake to give it one last shot! best thing that has ever happened to me! from that very day, i have worked out with jake 2x/week for 1 hour sessions. he is seriously the best trainer i have ever come across. he is not only knowledgable about exercise, but he is VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE about health and nutrition. he continuously studies so that he can provide his clients with as much information as they may need to live a better and healthy life. he truly makes working out enjoyable. he always keeps track of ALL workouts and times and pushes me to my limit. he comes up with new workouts EVERY session.
i recently had a baby and i was worried about gaining weight and losing the strength i had gained over the years, but knowing i had jake to workout with during my pregnancy and following delivery i was able to put this worry aside. Being under jakes "fitness care" during the pregnancy i was able to keep up my workouts while never having to worry about harming the baby. And i do believe Jakes "fitness care" helped me maintain a healthy pregnancy. i am so thankful that i get to train with jake and i really do look forward to our sessions!!!
