I'm a certified LVL1 Crossfit coach, been doing strength and conditioning/Crossfit and bodybuilding workouts for about 15 years, I've been to 10-20 S&C/ Crossfit gyms, and this is by far the best gym I've been too. This gym used to be a Crossfit gym but is now it's own strength and conditioning gym, and for good reason.
Their programming is way better and way more intentional than anything Crossfit produces and any other S&C gym that I've been to in the past. They've got it down to a science it seems. I had ACL repair surgery last year and have seen consistent and big gains since joining and so much of it is due to the programming.
The rest of it is due to their phenomenal coaching staff. They have a small group of 4 coaches who are all extremely knowledgeable and super attentive. Anthony, Mike, Pat and Nikki are all super professional, friendly, and focused. No one is on their phones during class and they all have great tips and cues to give the athletes.
I'll even add that their warmups are top notch. Once again super intentional and efficient. If I'm sore from previous workouts they do a great job with getting those muscles warm and warming up the ones you'll need for the workout through isometric, plyo and dynamic warmups.
I've heard Anthony say before that they'd ideally want classes to be 90 minutes to get everything they want in, but they already do an incredible job squeezing in so much meat and potatoes in to 60 minutes. At previous gyms I'd always have to hang around afterwards to hit some strength, bodybuilding, or olympic lifting movements because I'd feel like I didn't get enough in. But here if you just hit the 60min class and the supplmental work they prescribe after the class it's all I need. I can leave after 1 hour and feel great about the day.
I love that they focus on strength because strength and muscle gain takes the longest. Not that they don't get conditioning programmed in too, because as the coaches and attest I'm usually on my back in front of the fan gasping for air after each workout.
I'm very fortunate this gym is only 8-10 minutes from my house, because I'd still drive 30-40 minutes to this gym to get the workouts in. It's worth it. I didn't intend for this review to be this long but the words just kept coming out, I can't say enough good things about this gym.
Not to mention the people, community, and members are all awesome people too. It's such a friendly and inventing environment. I convinced my gf to give it a try after she was hesitant because she though it was too intimidating. And she's been hooked since. She did their nutrition program and would be so excited about what she learned from it that she's try to teach me some of the stuff. Now I'll join the program myself next time they do it.
Come by for a workout/drop-in, you will not regret it.

Mass MVMNT is hands-down the best gym I’ve ever been to, and I genuinely can’t imagine my life without it! I feel so lucky to have this incredible space just down the street, and I urge anyone even considering dropping by to come in—you won’t regret it.
From the knowledgeable and supportive trainers to the welcoming owners, I’ve felt encouraged and empowered from day one. Coming in with only basic gym knowledge, some spin class experience, and past F45 training, I’ve learned so much here—especially when it comes to strength training. I now feel confident in my movements and continue to grow stronger every day.
What truly sets this gym apart is the community. The members and coaches alike lift each other up, celebrate each other’s wins, and make every class something to look forward to. Mass MVMNT is consistently the highlight of my day.
I also took part in their 6-week nutrition program, which was beyond informative and transformational. Huge thanks to Mike and Elena for their incredible support and guidance, and to the amazing group I got to learn alongside.

Mass MVMNT really has a great community overall. I joined Mass MVMNT in January of 2025, and it was one of the best decisions that I’ve made for myself. From day one, I could tell it was different than any other gym that I’ve been to. Unlike other gyms that just want you to have a membership, this gym truly wants every member to be there and active in the workouts, and wants to see everyone achieve their individual goals. I was brand new to this type of program and was admittedly a bit nervous going into the first couple of classes, but everyone truly wants to see everyone else succeed. I normally attend classes that Mike, Pat and Anthony run and I couldn’t ask for better coaches. They make sure your form is correct so you don’t get injured, and challenge you to push yourself further and harder than you thought possible.

I strongly recommend Mass MVMNT! I did an introductory session with Mike, which was awesome and really informative. I then scheduled personal training with Pat. Pat also really knows his stuff, plays close attention, met me where I was at, and built my confidence immensely. I recently moved to the south shore and I looked far and wide for a gym to join. I had never tried (or considered) joining a crossfit gym. After meeting Mike (owner) for an evaluation, I decided to give it a shot. It's hands down been the best decision I've made since moving down here. All the coaches are excellent, the workout-programs are dialed in and community is awesome. I would HIGHLY recommend MassMovement. This is one unreal gym! All the trainers are straight up physical gorillas that know how to build muscle, strength, and endurance in the people they train. There is good reason why all the local sports teams send their athletes to them. I personally do 1:1 with Anthony and it has not only completely overhauled my physique but also my mental attitude and eating habits. Ask the owner how old he is, it will blow your mind (jacked looking like late 30’s). Be ready to work but also get excited for some insane results!

When I think of the best way to describe Mass MVMNT , I recall the theme song to the old show, Cheers- "Where Everybody Knows Your Name." I was honestly blown away by the warm, genuine welcome I received when I first started attending classes there, a little over a year ago. Literally on day two, multiple members already knew my name and greeted me as if I had been going there for years. There's zero judgement, no cliques, and consistent encouragement from members.
The coaches at Mass MVMNT are hands-down, second to none. Training plans are meticulously thought out, communicated, and executed. During class, coaches are quick to assess and offer support and guidance, based on your fitness level. One of the things I love are the regular emails from coach Anthony, laying out the upcoming training cycles, and sometimes just words of encouragement and motivation. Everyone here definitely goes above and beyond. Highly recommended!

I joined Mass MVMNT this past summer, having never really done this type of workout I was outside my comfort zone. Everyone has been so supportive and encouraging. I've been doing CrossFit for about 8 years now, but just joined Mass MVMNT a few months ago. The coaches are the best! I am 57 years old and on any given day have issues with anything from arthritis in my knees to tennis elbow. The coaches are great at modifying any workout to what is good for you on that day and keeping the stimulus of the workout. Anyone who knows me can tell you that MM has been my sanctuary since it opened in 2018. The programming and coaches are best in class: thoughtfully created, strategized, and curated weekly with an approach you won’t find anywhere else. I've been attending Mass MVMNT classes for six months. The instruction is 10/10. They give so much care to teaching the movements, and this helps to mitigate injuries for those of us who are newbies. After a long time battle with fitness and weight, my husband recommended Mass MVMVT. I walked into my first class with no CrossFit experience and feeling so nervous. Coach Nicci was leading the class that day and she was incredibly friendly, helpful, encouraging, and supportive. I left class feeling so confident. The best of the best; I think all of these coaches will be famous some day! Their knowledge of the human body is outstanding. The best part: there’s something for everyone, always. Bad hip? Shoulder? I'm a retired guy who over the years has trained under elite rowing coaches and world reknown yoga instructors, been instructed at rock gyms, fitness clubs, ski slopes, surfing centers...and I've NEVER had better instruction than at Mass MVMT. These guys are tops: thorough knowledge of technique, eyes like hawks, and great explainers. Plus the community atmostphere is the best ever, as energizing as a jolt of caffeine. This place has the best CrossFit programming I’ve yet to experience. There are solid blocks of strength training mixed in with conventional CrossFit workouts and conditioning. The coaches know their stuff and will keep you honest about your work. Mike, the owner, loves what he does and it shows. He, and all the coaches, know every member by name. There are periodic nutrition and lifestyle challenges and workshops held in addition to regular programming and open gym times. Plenty of parking.
Overall, really great and welcoming community. Come, be consistent, listen to what the coaches tell you, and you’ll see yourself making strides.

Hands down the BEST crossfit gym I've ever joined and/or dropped into. The coaches are so knowledgeable and welcoming and the programming is so well designed. I live in Canton and have been a member of MASS MVMT ever since Mike took over. This gym is by far the best gym that I have ever been to! (And I have tried many) I live in Canton and make it to class 5-6x a week because it really is worth it!

Mass MVMNT offers a fitness style and training that is above and beyond any traditional gym environment .
Some might hesitate possibly due to the “Xfit label “ and the stereotypes that go along with it……. but don’t !
The trainers are extraordinary!! The coaches teach, instruct and make every effort to make it safe and productive . Although it is a group class, the instructors make sure to give every single person the attention and critique needed . The Xfit trend over the years may have gotten a bad wrap for excessive weightlifting training resulting in injuries. This is mainly because of poor instruction and lack of education on behalf of the staff that are hired at these pop-up gyms .
The coaches\trainers at MassMVMNT Are exceptional not only due to their terrific personalities , but have the education and experience. They explain and demonstrate each exercise in great detail, supported by physiology, anatomy and exercise science. They offer alternative and scaled exercises to meet your needs, so no one feels left out or intimidated.
I have been in and out of gyms for over 25 years and have never felt better physically and emotionally. I owe it all to the MassMVMNT team.
Lastly, there is a wonderful sense of community supported by the members of all ages, that make it fun !

After moving to Quincy, i never thought I’d find the right box for me. I had been at CF southie before and so i had some high expectations and needs. I tried out about 7 different boxes and Mass MVMT was the last one & i had almost lost all hope. I am soooooo glad i found this place! The CF classes are super fun & i find myself being pushed everyday. Even when i the workouts are tough, i know the programming is on point & trust the coaches. The people are soooooo lovely. I have been going to Mass MVMNT for about three months and couldn’t be happier with the program or the results. The instructors are all extremely knowledgeable and teach you the right way to do every exercise. The coaches communicate well and do a great job both teaching proper technique and motivating hard work. The workouts are hard but can be scaled to your ability/fitness level. The community is extremely friendly. I have fun every time I go, so I keep going!

A great gym for beginners or advanced, I always feel challenged (and exhausted/sore in the best way), but can also adjust things to my level. The trainers are super knowledgeable and friendly and will support you to learn the right form and accommodate movements where needed. Every class is different but well thought out (you can go once in a while or follow a regular program), and you can usually see what exercises will be included in a class online before you sign up. Everyone who attends classes is also friendly and supportive. Highly recommend!

Can't say enough about Anthony, Mike and Pat at Mass MVMNT. They run a great gym that's more than a gym. Everyone there has a smile on their face when they walk in and when they leave (maybe not so much while working out). Not only do they do a great job but it's just a fun and entertaining place to be as well. Go give it a try.

I have been attending Mass MVMT for several years and was a member of the gym under prior ownership. I have also been fortunate to have been to a number or other gyms (crossfit and non-crossfit) across the US and in a few other countries. Of all the gyms I have been to, Mass MVMT is top of that list. The owners and trainers (which they keep to a small dedicated group) are all knowledgeable, passionate, and fun to train with. The programming is the most thoughtful of any gym I have attended and they are consistently investing back into the facility with new equipment and upgrades. I expect if you attend regularly you will find yourself in the best shape of your life and doing things you did not think you were capable of. If you are looking for a place to drop in for the day, you will get in a great workout in an excellent facility.

So glad I joined this gym 3 years ago, the coaches are amazing and have created a community that I truly love being a part of! Not to mention the facility is very well taken care of, and the training is extremely thought out! Recently recovering from a total hip replacement. I am working my way back into exercise post traditional physical therapy. All the trainers have been very supportive and attentive providing ways to modify movements that will help me build my strength back. Great community and support between members.

My wife and I are new to this community, and wow - what a community it is! Mike the owner is amazing, all the trainers we’ve met are so nice and knowledgeable, and the other members are encouraging. Mass Mvmt is the 1st and only gym I have EVER had a membership to!.. In the past I wasn’t overly fond of working out and definitely didn't know my way around gym equipment but this gym has certainly changed my ways. The coaching staff are very supportive, welcoming, and answer all my questions.
Most importantly, the coaches give feedback with actual reasoning behind it. I like to know why I should adjust my movements or do something a certain way so I can learn.
Love the intro classes too. They are great for beginners!

Too bad you can't give bonus stars. I've been around the block when it comes to gyms and rarely find one worth committing to long term. Mass Mvmnt is a wonderful gym. Mike and his staff are extremely welcoming. Their programming is extremely thought out, well-crafted, progressive, and supported by science and experience. These guys know their stuff.
The results speak for themselves as I have gained 5+ pounds and my wife has exchanged (lost) 5-10 pounds of fat for muscle in the few short months we've been attending.
They keep you engaged, give you the information you need to succeed outside the gym, and always put their members first. 5 stars, a golden star, and rave reviews will never do Mike and his community justice.

I've been to many CrossFit gyms over the years and Reebok CrossFit Bare Cove is undoubtedly one of the best! The facilities are top-notch, the programming is tough / varied and the coaches truly care about each and every member. But the best part about RCFBC is the community! You'll work out alongside people from all walk of life and each will push you and inspire you in their own way. Come here to get in shape, but expect to get a whole lot more than that in the process.

I Love this place!! Have been coming for 3.5 years on and off (between pregnancy and unrelated injuries) and I literally can not think of a place I'd rather be. I can bring my 2 year old son while I work out, which I have been doing since he was about 6 months old, and know that he's having fun and looked after. All the staff is super welcoming, knowledgeable and inviting. I love the whole atmosphere. Highly recommend!

LIFE CHANGING!! I have been to a half dozen CF boxes around the country and NONE of them are as nice a facility as RCFBC. The equipment is world class, the facility is clean and open, the coaching is top notch. All around incredible place to get your WOD on. I love that it's my "Home" box.
