I’ve been going to MATS Boston since November 2024 and absolutely love it! The energy, the community, and the instructors make it such a standout gym. I’ve taken classes with both Zeynep and Johanna and they’re both fantastic! Each brings their own style and motivation, and I always feel pushed in the best way. My go-to is the Tuesday HIIT class since I’m a big fan of cardio, and this class never disappoints. I leave every time feeling challenged and accomplished. Highly recommend this gym to anyone looking for a welcoming, good energy workout environment!

I can’t say enough good things about MATS. From the moment I walked through the door, I felt welcomed and supported. The staff here are not only professional and knowledgeable, but also incredibly inclusive, kind, and genuinely invested in each member’s progress and well-being.
There’s also an impressive variety of classes to choose from, so it never gets boring. Whether you’re into strength training, conditioning, mobility, or something more specialized, there’s something for everyone. The programming is smart and well thought out, and every class is also just FUN.

Gracias a las redes sociales, encontré a Mats Boston, mi lugar favorito. Aproveché el pase semanal gratuito que ofrecen y me encantó. Llevo cuatro meses asistiendo a las diferentes clases y he visto cambios positivos en mí. Me encantan los entrenadores. Zeynep tiene un gran equipo todos son muy amables y dedicados a lo que hacen. Cada uno te motiva y te guía durante el proceso. Disfruto muchísimo de cada clase porque los grupos son pequeños y hay una gran variedad de ejercicios. El horario es súper flexible están abiertos los 7 días de la semana y cuentan con estacionamiento. Gracias Mats Boston!

I strongly recommend the Strength classes with both Zeynep and Joanna. They’re always challenging workouts in a great atmosphere, and — super conveniently! — they’re held at the same time as my daughter’s gymnastics class at the children’s gym next door.

This is my fourth week of taking classes at Mats Boston. I have been going 2-3 times a week. I love how it’s small-group training model with a very positive and supportive vibe, where the instructors remember your name and always emphasize that we are here to work out for ourselves, not comparing with our neighbors. And no two classes are the same! Always a great thing to keep the body guessing.

Wonderful gym with kind and knowledgeable instructors. I like how they set up stations with the necessary equipment before you arrive to class so you already have everything you need at the start and aren't frantically looking for weights and equipment! Instructors provide hands-on support and are very encouraging.

My second class with Shannon really cemented Mats being a hidden gem for me. After trying out countless other classes with trainers/instructors of varying skill sets, price points, and motivations, this is truly the best find yet! The instructor is warm, thoughtful, considerate, yet motivating and using evidence-based *intuitive* cues to make sure we're always checking in on our bodies. The mindfulness of the instructor really pushed the bar for me 😳💕 I've never been so consistent with my routine than with the team here. Thanks Mats!

Great class! I took a strength class with Zeynep and she really focuses on your form and helps you fix it, making sure to work out the right muscles and prevent injury. Nice, clean studio and the workouts were great. If you like small group workout classes with more individual attention I really recommend this class.

I had a fantastic experience at MATS BOSTON and highly recommend it, especially for beginners. I found this place via ClassPass and decided to try it out (Sidenote: I wrote a review on ClassPass already so I just copied and pasted it here). As someone new to yoga, I was a bit nervous, but the class exceeded my expectations. The studio is clean, cozy, and intimate — not a large, intimidating space like commercial gyms can sometimes be. The small class size made it feel personal, and you can tell a lot of thought and care went into creating a welcoming atmosphere.
Pratishtha, the instructor, was exceptional—warm, approachable, and deeply knowledgeable. Her passion for yoga and genuine care for her students really shine through in how she tailors the class to suit her students’ needs. Her instructions were clear and calming. I left feeling relaxed, light, and free of the tension in my hips. If you're seeking a supportive space to try yoga, MATS BOSTON is the ideal choice :).

I am in my 3rd month of going to MATS in their small group training session and I can already see a world of difference in my fitness. I have never attended gym before and gym machines seems overwhelming to me. But coming to this fitness studio, I have found multiple workouts (using dumbells and kettlebells) which fit my interests and fitness goals. In all honestly, it does feels like going to a private gym. The trainers here and specially Zeynap and Can, are highly experienced, skilled and flexible in a way that they can design the workouts according to your own body and energy, on that particular day. We do a mix of strength and resistance building exercises along with cardio, which is great combination to build endurance and loose weight quickly. I also found a sense of community coming over here, as all attendees are very friendly and this makes me eager to look forward to my training sessions. Highly recommended to anyone who is thinking of joining streamlined workout sessions in presence of qualified trainers and a friendly group.

I have been attending Mats Boston for their small group training session for the past three months and love it there! I have never liked the gym and felt lost on what to do when I was there these classes have been a huge win for me! The instructors are extremely nice and very knowledgeable they remember injuries that members have had and will adjust the workout to ensure it is safe for them while continuously checking in on everyone in the class throughout. Each week brings something new and it is not just the same classes over and over again! Extremely glad I joined and would encourage anyone who is unsure to give the trial week a try and you will definitely be wanting to join like I was !

Instructors with over 25,000 private lessons experience. They have group lessons in a different city for 10 years, they have given group lessons to more than 1000 people and they have received more than 40,000 reservations. They have many international senior instructor certificates. They have a high level of general training knowledge, biomechanical knowledge, postural knowledge and exercise physiology knowledge. Great people as characters. They listen to you, understand and set results-oriented goals. Once you get to know these people, you won't be able to give up easily.

Zeynep is an amazing trainer! She is patient, meets you where you're at and really pushes you to do your best while always keeping safe and reaching towards your goals.
