After moving across the country with my family, we were searching for a sense of community—and we found it at this karate school. From day one, they welcomed us with open arms. Anytime I've struggled, they've been there with genuine support and encouragement. It's more than just a karate school; it's a family. The care and camaraderie shared among students and instructors truly extend beyond the mats, and that warmth has embraced my little family as well. We're so grateful to be part of this incredible place

My family absolutely loves McCoys! They treat us all like family, and the camaraderie is just incredible. We plan on being members for as long as we are able to, and cannot wait to rank up at the end of this month!
The kids have also learned plenty of things as well! They have classes for adults, teens, and kids (they even have super young kids called Dragons that attend, and it's super adorable)
Anyways, Thank you all for everything :-)

We cannot begin to express how much good McCoy’s has brought to our family. We started because my son wanted to try it, but quickly both of his sisters joined as well. The amount of confidence and discipline I have seen in their growth has been exceptional. They have been doing it for a couple of years now and continue to love it. They have made friends, grown stronger, smarter and kinder.

My son Parker joined McCoy's Action Karate about a year and a half ago and I can't begin to describe how amazing it's been for him and our family. Everyone has been so kind, understanding, and patient with him. I have seen a huge positive change in him since he started. His teachers, staff, and other students at McCoys have really helped increase his concentration, attitude, and confidence! Because of this, and encouragement from the amazing staff and other parents, my husband and I have also recently became students and everyone has been so helpful, caring, and encouraging throughout the whole process. We felt welcomed the minute we stepped foot into class and love it so much. Thank you so much for everything you have already helped us accomplish and for helping us continue to grow!
Go Team Parker !!

My son has been doing karate for a year now. Recently my wife and I signed up. It feels amazing to share this journey as a family. Since day 1 we've been welcomed to the MAK family with open arms. Every member of MAK is amazing. All the instructors and your peers want to see you succeed. If your thinking of trying martial arts for yourself or your kids THIS IS THE PLACE TO GO!!!

I can't say enough positive things about MAK and the incredible impact they have on children. What truly sets MAK apart is their unwavering commitment to inclusivity. They embrace all children, regardless of background or ability, fostering an environment where every child feels seen, heard, and valued.
MAK goes beyond just teaching kids academic skills—they help them grow into the best versions of themselves by instilling important values like self-respect, empathy, and respect for others. The staff is incredibly caring and dedicated to helping each child thrive, not only by encouraging their talents but also by nurturing their emotional and social growth.
It's inspiring to watch how MAK creates a safe and welcoming space for all children to learn, play, and build meaningful relationships. If you're looking for a place that values inclusivity and helps children develop into confident, compassionate individuals, MAK is truly exceptional.

McCoys Action Karate has been an incredible positive influence on my two nephews. They have been going there over 12 years and the commitment they have towards everyone that comes through their doors is truly inspiring.

This place is a Family.
As with ANY family, not EVERYTHING is perfect.
But Everyone DOES try!
How many extra curriculars have members and coaches that come to your kids' schools to put on seminars? Or come to your kids' plays and concerts?
Or even come see and support their Other sporting endeavors?
How many extra curriculars include not only the 2.5 year Olds but also special needs and 60+ y.o.s?
McCoys has made karate not Only a year-round sport but a family- centered environment.
And with THAT can sometimes come misunderstandings.
BEWARE disgruntled parents who would rather take their concerns to search engine reviews than speak constructively to the business owners directly.
There is ALWAYS 3 sides to every story and each side deserves to be heard and receive clarification.
Especially if a side Could be taken out of context!
**Communication is KEY - those in leadership roles Must have Fully open ears and hearts accompanied by patience and understanding.✋️👊
After 14+ years with my family attending this place, I highly reccomend.

We absolutely love McCoys and have experienced nothing but a welcoming and accepting community by all members and staff. It is disappointing to see some reviews from former members who didn’t enjoy their experience as there are 3 sides to every story so take the reviews as you will but I highly suggest trying them out for yourself and form your own opinion and give your kid the chance at an amazing opportunity to learn, grow and build confidence with an awesome community of people

I have been going to karate for nearly 14 years now, and I can say that they definitely live by their motto of "more than just karate." Karate has not only given me the confidence to know that I am safe in this scary world, but also become a good person in all aspects of my life. I am a good student at school, at home, and to those I don't know in public.
When I started I was 3 years old and didn't want to be there. Something that Mrs. and Mr. McCoy always say to encourage new students is how far I've come. Their staff is great, they know every students name and interact with them equally.
They always push their students to do their best, ensuring that they earn everything they get, while helping them along the way. When they knew I was ready, they invited me for my black belt. And fours year later I started teaching there, building an even stronger rapport within the community. I never would have thought something like this would change my life forever.

I started at McCoy's Action Karate in 1997 as an 11 year old child. this school help me grow and become a better person through the great owners and instructors they train. I made many friends and eventually taught as well. I use the skills, experiences, and lesson throughout entire life. I left for many years due to life circumstances but recently came back. I can say nothing has changed. The kindness, family oriented school is amazing. The staff knows every students name and cares about them all.

The McCoy family and staff have shown dedication and integrity throughout every season since we started in 2008 (even through challenges like covid). 5 of our kids are black belts now, and 1 is on his way! McCoys Action Karate continues to make a difference in our lives, teaching us all to be better people—and they treat every student like they’re the only one that matters. We are honored to give this karate school 5-stars, although it should be infinity-stars! ⭐️

They are fantastic. My four year old daughter is new and they have been extremely patient with her. She has a delay in speech. They have truly gone above and beyond giving her additional support in class. She loves it there.

My kids and I started taking class here 9 months ago. I take the adult Tang So Doo and kickboxing classes and my kids take the kids classes. You can't beat the fact that for one price you can attend as often as you like. We love the family atmosphere and life lessons that are taught in their classes. You not only learn karate, but my kids are learning self-confidence and teamwork. Their tagline of "more than just karate" is 1000% true!

I and my kids have been taking classes for a few months. The instructors are excellent at martial arts AND at explaining body mechanics. It is a wonderful and supportive environment that meets each individual of all abilities at their level and need. We are hooked! I highly recommend them.
