My son has been attending for more than a year. Master Mendes instills a good work ethic, self-control, and respect while engaging his students in strenuous physical development from the start of class to its conclusion. Greg Mendes is incredibly gifted and talented working with the kids of all ages!
I would recommend this dojo to anyone with kids (especially if the kids are struggling with listening skills, focus or sef discipline or self control, lack of respect...etc), it's one of the best ways to relearn these traits.

When I first moved here my oldest son was shy, anxious, over energetic, he didn’t have much self confidence and lacked discipline as much as We tried to instill it and his every day life. I tried everything from punishment to positive reinforcement to therapy but I could see my son was still struggling with his day to day. However, My family has been with Mendes Martial arts since about August 2018 , and there is already such a dramatic change in who my little man had become . He is confident, strong, outgoing, and excited about working hard , doing his best , and never giving up (even if he needs reminders) this school and the teachers Master Mendes , Master O’brian and Master Lombardo have taught my boys they are way better than what they believe they could be and working hard and doing their best they will be winners in every aspect of their lives. Because the lesson they learn in class isn’t just about who can punch, kick and block or who is the strongest but about respect, trust in yourself, your team and your loved ones that will the reason you succeed in every aspect of life . And when a child knows that that is when they will be great . THAT is when the will win. Winners never quit ; quitters never win . Chose to be a winner ! TANG SOO DO !

Mendes is very good with kids, keeping their attention while also imparting good morals and life lessons. Good facilities with ample space and plenty of chairs to view the goings on. Also able to hold birthday parties, which is fun for all kids even those not part of the programs.
