Visiting Boston for a Meeting at Hynes Convention Center. Great to have a pool to go to for a swim as a visitor, for a nominal day pass price of $15. And they converted to 50 m long course for the summer session. Wasnt too crowded with 3-4 in a lane on Sunday at 1 pm and about 2-3 on a Tuesday around 11 am.

A vast sports complex that includes an ice rink, 4 basketball courts, several pools, an indoor track, and squash courts. Family swim lessons for kids are available. A great resource for the surrounding community.

**This review is for the Non-MIT people**
I am gonna be selfish here because I am a powerlifter. So, only the heavy weights that attracts me. This gym is good for that purpose. It has pretty much everything. Several benches and squat stations with Eleiko olympic bars (π₯π₯), two deadlift stations with the barbell jack, plenty of machines for the accessories. The Eleiko plates are you seeing, these are not for you folks. You have to be in the athletic team. That something to brag about if you're a MIT student. I got the day pass for $15 which includes the pool area as well. That one is amazing if you're into swimming. Any outsiders with a valid ID can buy the passes. You can find the info on their website.

Ive been using the gym at the MIT Zesiger Center, and itβs great. The range of equipment is excellent, from weights to cardio machines, and everything is well-maintained and up-to-date. The space is clean and spacious, but it get a littlr overcrowded during peak hours. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the overall atmosphere is motivating and welcoming.

I was only spectator at the pool for a few days, so it's hard to rate whole complex.
Clean facility, parking may be pain during certain times.
There is one big mishap in pool design.
Wall above/along lane 1 angles at some point & most of the swimmer being not familiar with it had a big problem while swimming backstroke. They would fallow lights line which also curves and that was taking them off to side in many cases during the meet.
Kinda unthinkable mistake in designing, which was very surprising no one picked up.
Accept that, all sides we were able to visit-very nice&clean, good amount of seating.

The MIT Recreation - Zesiger Sports and Fitness Center is an absolutely amazing student athletic facility located on the campus of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Cambridge, Massachusetts. From the moment you step inside, you are struck by the facility's state-of-the-art equipment and modern design.
The Zesiger Sports and Fitness Center is home to a wide variety of athletic facilities, including a swimming pool, a gym, and a number of sports courts and fields. The facility is well-equipped with the latest and greatest in fitness equipment, including treadmills, stationary bikes, weights, and more. The gym also has a number of group fitness classes available, including yoga, Pilates, and spin, as well as personal training services.

Could not be more frustrated. They take a long time to respond to membership questions and then get conflicting information from different employees. End up wasting time and got no membership which is a horrible experience. They need to simplify the process so three weeks don't go by with nothing happening

Great gym for MIT students and community members. There is a golf simulator in the basement you can book via the MIT rec app or on the website. Select the golf sim as the room to do it. Also have a pool, basketball courts, squash, and two floors of gym equipment.

I regularly swim at the Z center pools. The pools are huge, generally clean, well maintained and not too crowded. As an alum, I get a slightly lower membership rate, but even the rates for the general public are reasonable. What a great value.

Not Covid safe! Great facility, nice equipment, friendly staff. Sadly, typically a quarter of the patrons don't wear their masks properly. The staff don't seem to have the support or guidance needed to enforce the MIT and Cambridge indoor mask policies. Out of care for myself, staff and the larger community I've reached out to Recreation management and higher up MIT administration and been met with hollow, bureaucratic responses. While the majority young student population may be generally safe, MIT is not a bubble, and it is disheartening and dumbfounding to see a respected institution not act with care for its larger community and follow through on such a simple preventative measure of enforcing proper mask wearing to stop the spread and mutation of this virus. Visit with caution!

Come here few time each year for kid's swimming meets. the pool is beautiful. it can be used for long or short course. for normal meet, the pool is big enough for everyone. For championship meets, it is a little crowded.
Accessing the pool is on the 120 Vassar Street Cambridge, MA 02139 - back door where you can park your car at the end of the Vassar Street next to the soccer stadium.
The Zesiger Center overall is nice place.
