I was lucky enough to be a recipient of Alyssa’s assisted stretching at a time when my knee was in pain and my hips were intensely tight. Talk about a gift to my body! It was obvious that Alyssa knew her stuff and I was able to deeply relax into the process while she did 99% of the work! She checked in with me throughout around my comfort and what was coming next. I felt so good and loose after we were finished. Highly recommend both Alyssa and this amazing service.

MHM is a really incredible place. I’ve been going to classes since they opened and I can genuinely say it has changed my life. I feel so much stronger, more confident, and get to be part of a community of genuinely kind and loving people.
As a person in a plus size body, regular gyms have felt unwelcoming and uninspiring, with a general understanding whether spoken or unspoken that weight loss is the goal. At MHM, movement isn’t about changing the way your body looks, it’s about moving your body in a way that feels good to you, whatever that means to each individual. The trainers focus on teaching form to prevent injury, and movements are modified for each persons needs. You’ll never feel pressured to do any movement that doesn’t feel safe to you—only gently reminded that you are strong and can do hard things.
I go to group personal training, some large group classes, and recently started one-on-one PT, and have loved every class/session. I truly can’t recommend it enough!

MHM is the best place in Western Mass for an inviting, inclusive, welcoming community around fitness. They have NO MIRRORS in the studio, people! I always have a smile on my face and my heart feels full after a class at MHM- it's what I have always been looking for in a movement space.

Since I began attending group classes in Sept 2024, I have felt welcomed by Britt, Tiff, Mary, and all of the MHM community. I never wanted to join gyms before finding MHM. Like so many, I've experienced offensive "advice" on how my body/gender identity "should be." At MHM, my body belongs at every size/shape/expression. I am so thankful MHM exists in our sweet valley.

From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed and supported. What sets this place apart is their commitment to inclusivity. It’s so refreshing to be in a space where all bodies are genuinely celebrated, and fitness isn’t about shrinking yourself but about feeling good and being well.
The atmosphere is incredibly friendly—truly the most welcoming experience I’ve ever had at a fitness studio. MHM has created something really special here. It’s a safe and affirming space where I never feel judged, no matter where I’m at on my wellness journey.
The classes are paced thoughtfully and can be adapted for any body, which is huge for me as someone managing a few health conditions. The trainers are knowledgeable and compassionate.

MHM is a bright, shiny beacon of fabulousness and I'm so grateful that I've found this community. I've recently moved back to MA after 30 years of living in LA among the body-shamers, -shapers, and the undying quest for youth. I knew that I wanted to find a place where I could be myself and find movement and strength again.
As a person in her early 50s--amid perimenopausal body changes--I've struggled to find a way to incorporate exercise in ways that feel healthy and supportive. I knew, from the very second I walked into MHM, that I had found a home.
Britt and Tiff have been nothing but kind, invigorating, playful, intuitive, and supportive--there's that word again--and I have felt SEEN. Being there with that community gives me hope for the world and for myself. I feel like I can take care of my body and mind while retaining autonomy over what feels best for me--and this is not only tolerated but it is the way it's supposed to be at MHM. I'm astounded at the patience and goodwill that surrounds each class, and the vibe of the place is full of love and joy.
It will change you. It will change your life and the way you think about yourself. I cannot recommend MHM highly enough and thank the sparkly clouds above that they exist. Amazing.

I had such a unique and wonderful experience at MHM. The vibe is super welcoming and the boxing class with Mary was unlike anything I'd experienced before. I can tell that the group classes are well led with the individual in mind, and I got more of a workout than I ever thought I would, plus learned some cool new boxing moves! As a massage therapist, I'd highly recommend MHM to any of my clients who want a great fitness experience.

MHM is a very different experience than most gyms. The environment is warm and inviting, classes are varied and challenging, but also fun and accessible, and instructors are great. I have never been a gym person, but I actually look forward to going to MHM! It truly is a community where I feel supported and encouraged every time I show up. Many thanks to the instructors for helping me stay strong: Tiff, Mary, Jordan, Jo, and of course, to Britt for creating this beautiful place.

I have been meeting on Zoom with Mary from My Health Matters for just over a year now, and it has been an incredible experience! Mary did a great job meeting me where I'm at (honestly, a little traumatized from gym classes and generally not a fan of fitness), and I have gotten so much stronger! After a couple of months, I realized that not only was I doing okay with our sessions-- I was even LOOKING FORWARD to them! I recommend MHM all the time.

My Health Matters is a very special and unique fitness studio. I should know because I have been a member since Day-1,
Class-1!
Britt has created a space that is diverse and completely committed to body acceptance and working with people of all ages, sizes and shapes. The general “feel” of the studio is warm, friendly, supportive, accepting, and downright silly, at times.
You’ll most likely be greeted with a personal “hello” when you arrive and a personal, “have a good day/night", when you leave.
Britt has chosen knowledgeable, sensitive, and fun trainers, all of whom have their own styles of teaching so even if you take similar classes on different days, they can feel utterly unique and challenging in their own way depending on who is teaching. But regardless with whom you might be training, there is always this common thread: that class instruction is designed to encourage each person to LISTEN TO THEIR OWN BODY. It helps that there are no mirrors in which to reflect back self-criticism and there is no talk of dieting or "earning" one’s food through exercise.
We are reminded and invited at each and every class to do what feels good to our bodies, at this time, on this particular day. We are given the opportunity, and clear instructions on how to make an exercise more challenging to achieve, or maintain, strength and flexibility. But most importantly, we are offered alternative exercises or accommodations with every movement in order to decide, individually, what to do to prevent injury but still achieve our personal goals.
There are many classes to choose from: some, like Spin, emphasize cardio, others, strength or flexibility, and still others, balance and stretching. There are Barre classes that focus on small muscle groups, Yoga, Core-focused classes, Boxing, TRX, along with Small Group or 1:1 Training sessions. Something for every body.
So, come check out the place and see how it feels to you. You'll TRULY be welcomed exactly where you are in your fitness and/or body journey.

From the first large group class I took here, I fell in love with the space! I've had 3 different instructors and they are all fantastic and so knowledgeable in how to train all different types of folks. It's incredible to walk into a gym and feel completely comfortable. Thank you so much for helping me find joy in movement again.

MHM is the real deal 💜 They actively practice what they preach — they are inclusive in every way, affirming and encouraging, and have created a space that really feels different. No mirrors on the wall to pick yourself apart, just supportive trainers you can trust to keep it real AND celebrate your wins! Every poster on the wall affirms the space you’re in - you are safe in this space, exactly as you are. Every human I’ve met there is welcoming. They keep it real! You can show up having a tough day and be treated with compassion. They also have all the tools to make your good day even better. Working with Tiff has been one of the very best things I’ve ever done for myself - she is so knowledgeable, encouraging, and supportive. If you’re a former or current dancer, she is your girl! Britt and Tiff never miss an opportunity for a hello - you will immediate feel at ease with them. If you’re looking for a safe, inclusive place for movement.. you’ve got your place. Highly, highly recommend.

A movement studio without mirrors in the training spaces- what a game-changer! Body image has always been a personal struggle but this is the first “gym” that I was able to actually enjoy my workout without the constant stress of judging my body and comparing it to others. After 3 children in 4 years, I am living in a much larger body than I have in the past but I have never felt more comfortable exercising in a group movement space! The community at MHM is unparalleled in its kindness, inclusivity, and genuine interest in supporting one another both in and out of the studio. The variety of instructors and trainers makes it easy to try new classes and explore movement in a safe, supportive space. I am beyond grateful to Britt for creating this unique, welcoming studio!

MHM is one of the best "gyms" I have belonged to. The interior has been decorated so that it does not feel like a gym! Britt has done an amazing job creating a warm, inviting space. The classes are fabulous, the instructors are great, and it is a place to meet new (and old) friends. I am so thankful for it, I am proud and grateful to be a founding member.

This studio is the most friendly and welcoming experience I’ve ever had at a “gym”. What Britt has going here is truly a special, safe, inclusive space for everyone. All of the instructors are so kind, patient and helpful. The classes are challenging but tailored to each individual in the class (harder or easier as needed). Everyone is truly supportive of everyone else and encouraging each other to do what their individual self needs at the moment. So thankful to have found this wonderful community that Britt has built.

MHM has been such a positive part of my life since I started attending classes there. All of the instructors (and the owner, Britt) are beyond welcoming and I have never felt more welcome at any other gym. Unfortunately I'm moving out of the area this year and this community is one of the things I will miss most, I only wish there were multiple locations.
All of the classes are paced well and can be adapted to any body, which I really appreciate as someone with a few health issues. It's a way to stay healthy and active without feeling the pressure of diet culture. Also the pricing is great, as Britt is incredibly understanding of financials. I would highly recommend at least trying out a few classes here - I'm so happy I found it!

I’ve been training with Brittany for years, first at 50/50, then virtual for 3+ years, and now back in person in her beautiful brand-new studio! She is an amazing trainer, encouraging her clients to push themselves while also taking pains to remind them to listen to their bodies and honor themselves—both physically and mentally. The sessions are challenging, but you can always go at your own pace. They are also fun, and a great way to meet new people—I met one of my best friends while training with Brittany years ago! ❤️ The new space is lovely and welcoming, and she has hired a wonderful group of trainers to fill it!

I have worked with Brittany for many years. She has helped me keep my mind and body fit for a long time through a number of ups and downs, including recovery from a ski accident. She is very knowledgeable in the areas of strength training and wellness. I can't imagine a week without her supporting me in staying on track with my goals so I can keep hiking, biking, xc skiing, and playing lots of pickleball as I get closer to retiring. She is the best!
