Horrible experience at this gym. They tack on fees and if you try to cancel your membership they will lie to you and scam you. Gross. Pool doesn’t work most the time. Smells bad.

They’re now forcing members to pay the $85 passport fee just for access to this gym because of the “extra amenities” - those are what exactly?
-the musty, stuffy basement air?
-the pool that is constantly occupied by kiddie swim classes and likely filled with children’s pee and poop?
-the locker rooms that you can barely walk through or change in because they’re filled with strollers and screaming, naked, crying toddlers?

They’ve also closed almost every location in the Boston area so this one will probably be gone soon anyway. hopefully a better gym can take its place.

I really love the group classes especially Pilates with Sharon Cardamone— it’s very hard to find a classical mat Pilates class and hers is excellent. It’s perfect for those looking to maintain back health and come back from injuries. I also love the glute and upper body strength classes

I've been taking classes with Sharon, and she's wonderful. I started with Pilates and have now started her yoga classes. I have a slight disability, and Sharon has been super-helpful in guiding me through my return to fitness.

I am going to give a 4.5 stars since there is always room to improve, e.g. improving the cleanliness of the gym especially the locker room and bathroom area, checking closely on things, such as hanging hooks in the pool areas, to be replaced or fixed in a timely manner.

The club has a lot of good group teachers. I am disappointed that some of my favorite classes were cut due to low attendance rate, including one of the yoga classes taught by Sharon. I have been going the class taught by Sharon, who is a seasoned Ashtanga yoga teacher. She gives clear instructions and offers modifications according to students needs. I always feel good after the class.

I also value the location of the club which has a swimming pool. Most of the gyms in Boston closed their swimming pools. The implementation of reservation for the pool since the pandemic has been very helpful, and the staff are kind to help take the reservation. I used to wait for half an hour to get a free lane to swim in the past. I hope the club Boylston will continue to keep up the good condition.

They’ve cut classes while increasing prices. Didn’t address water damage for months. Lost their towel vendor and couldn’t find a replacement for more than a month. “Renovations” just spread out machines and weights. HIIT area needs expanding. Equipment is old. Sandbags leak.

I value the group classes tremendously. They are so critical of my overall health. There is good variety of classes. I wish there are more. Teachers are all great, especially Kerry and Sharon, terrific instructors. Their routines are challenging enough that you feel like it’s worth the time to come to classes, yet not too difficult. They themselves demonstrate perfectly. There are other good instructors, too many to mention.

Two stars for the sauna which is actually decent. There are little kids getting their diapers changed on the benches in the locker room on weekends. They run all over the place and parents leave strollers in everyone’s way. Hours are bad. It’s pretty dirty all the time even at 5:30am right when they open. Machines are older than my great grandmother. Used to be like 18 treadmills but half of them broke and have been gone for, not kidding, over six months.

This gym is going under, they don’t care about their members or the quality of the gym. They increased the membership price this year to $85!! They just closed their best location in downtown crossing. Brian the manager didn’t return my multiple calls and requests to cancel. He was unsympathetic with any of the issues, just made excuses for incompetence.

This gym is in a basement. The air is stagnant. The pool is small and dirty, never gets cleaned. The whole place smells bad of chlorine. They had water damage months ago and half the facility has been closed off, with no sign of repair. The sauna is too dry and not hot enough, they don’t let you pour water on the rocks. The towels are too small and not often than not they run out so you can’t even use the shower. There is no swim suit dryer. The lockers are broken and falling off the hinges. One of the fountains is broken too. The equipment is pretty dated but ok.

Pros — old school cybex equipment, Icarian machines/benches, Plenty of squat rack options and deadlift options, bumper plates

Cons — most unkept and unsanitary gym I've been to in Boston, deadlift platforms are dented in, they fix nothing, limited cardio area (they got rid of most broken machine) a lot of bum ass rift raft people who go because it's the cheapest gym.

Update 4/15/25:
After 5 weeks with no hot water in February and March we are now on week 4 with No towels at all. It is certainly inconvenient to carry them back and forth, but the lack of communication around these issues has been extreme poor.. no emails or updates on the website the last 2 weeks and when you ask a person at the desk they say they don’t know or “probably a week or two”. This, combined with dozens of broken lockers and mold around the soaps and on the shower ceilings leaves me very disappointed in how this gym is run. I stay due to the location, but may look for other options.
——/
It is generally fine, and has ok equipment, but I am here tonight and once again they ran out of all towels.. for machines, showering.. no towels. Really not an ok issue for a gym and this time it messed up my plans to work out before meeting folks for dinner. Some staff are helpful, but others are rude. One guy comes in the locker room most nights at 8:50pm and yells “5 minutes! and generally seems annoyed and angry. It would be nice if they stayed open a bit later 10pm weekdays and 8pm weekends would be helpful

There are eight working treadmills here - which are all over 20 years old. Another dozen have been sitting there FOR OVER A YEAR with signs saying "we are working on this" but no repair activity ever seen. Lines of folks waiting every day for those who like to scroll on phones while they walk for an hour. Absolutely ridiculous. Another pet peeve is the custodian mops the entire locker room and showers every weekday at 5pm the very busiest time - really??

Mediocre gym with extremely shady billing practices. I used the Prudential Center location in May/June 2023 while in Boston for a 6-week contract. I agreed to a month-by-month membership, to be canceled in mid-June ahead of the July billing cycle. At the end of my contract I confirmed cancellation in person at the front desk of that location. However NYSC/BSC have continued to charge me $74.99 monthly as of April 2024.

The gym itself was fine, often crowded, and sometimes lacking hot water. The business practices however are poor and very underhanded.

Well, the staff are friendly and the gym is sufficiently equipped. However, this location cannot handle the new volume of customers induced by the closure of the Prudential Center location at the beginning of January. The gym is very busy at all hours, and management has not taken steps to add basic equipment, such as benches. I used to enjoy this space, but if you are new to the area and searching for a gym, I recommend looking elsewhere.

I tried but it's a no go. Based on reviews of how crowded it is at peak times in the afternoon/evening, I went at about 7:30 AM and it was packed. Also, the sauna was just lukewarm. It's a decent facility and the front desk employee was personable, but the place just can't handle the massive amount of people who now live in this part of Boston. And like most gyms in young urban professional dominated areas, serious lack of gym etiquette and self-centered behavior. No thanks. Would rather pay a little more to get away from some of the riff raff.

The gym has all the standard equipment you’d expect, but the weight lifting area is small and you often have to wait for equipment since there is (rarely) more than one machine for a lift. It’s also ALWAYS crowded here no matter when you go - I think this is because they closed their other locations in the area so everyone is going here. I will only be around for a few months so I can tolerate it but if I was looking for a long term gym I wouldn’t choose this. Showers are janky in the men’s locker area too (not dirty but the water pressure is bad on most of them and some are missing handles).

Great gym overall. Been coming for a few months now and have had an excellent experience. The trainers and management are professional and helpful, and over my short time I’ve seen continuous improvements with cleaning staff, equipment, and A/C. The contracts put into place by the actual NYSC business can be a little dodgy, but the staff at this location helped me understand the fine print to the point where I’ve had no problems with my membership/billing.

The gym is okay for $79.99 a month. However equipment is always broken and the billing is shady. I canceled my membership May 25 which was 7 days before the next billing cycle; therefore I should not be charged a cancel fee and I was told I would not be charged come June.
1. However June 1, I was charged a random amount of $5 from the BSC. I waited a week to see if the charge would drop off and it never did. When I went in person to dispute the charge the front desk girl was rude and rolled her eyes at me because I was insisting they charge my card. She kept saying their system didnt show a charge and that its only $5 so theres nothing they can do somce there system doesnt show the charge. I asked for someone else to talk to and she said they dont give out numbers or info for people to contact them. I even asked about a billing department number to see if someone could look deeper into my account since she was not being helpful and she said they do not have one.

Currently they still have my card on file, my bank has confirmed that the BSC did charge me on June 1 and the BSC does not care to find out why I was charged or where my money went. I am extremely irritated by this, as their staff lacks customer service and professionalism and clearly my card information is not safe with them. Because they think a random $5 charge is no big deal, but it is my money and I currently am not a member so why would I be okay with a random charge on my credit card?

After I walked away I heard the two front desk people talking about how this has happened to other people except with larger charges and there’s nothing they can do about it. Again they lack professionalism and poorly handled this situation.

Update: I was told the General Manager would reach out to me within 48hours of when I spoke to the front desk people. However its been a week and no one was has called, no one has left a voicemail, and no one has emailed me to explain why or how my card is still able to be charged.

Update #2: on June 10, I was charged $39.99, while my membership was still canceled.

Paul is the front desk guy that I previously spoke with and I spoke with him again today. When I asked why no one ever followed up with me after almost 2 weeks, he said “thats weird, who did you speak with?” And when I told him that it was him I spoke with, he acted like he didn’t remember. So as we continued speaking about the unauthorized charges I referenced our previous conversation and he “corrected” me saying that was not what he had said in our last conversation….which I found ironic because 5 minutes ago he told me he didnt recall talking to me at all.

I asked for my credit card to be removed from their system as I do not trust them with my info and I am no longer paying for services, but I was told they can not remove my card. I asked again for the general manager to be informed and to follow up with me before the end of the week, because I am annoyed that my card is continuing to be charged. They dont care to fix the problem or remove my card from their file…. Which would solve the problem.

Based on their terrible customer service, I do not believe that the GM will reach out to me about deleting my card from their system.

Ultimately I think the BSC/NYSC is extremely shady with their billing practices and I regret ever giving them my credit card to put on file. Do not make the same mistake as me. Find a gym else where, because they are nit worth the money or the hassle.

I tried to cancel my membership because the cleanliness/upkeep of the Boston locations seems to have gone downhill over the last year or so. The website makes it impossible to cancel your membership online, so I called the club to cancel. I was extremely clear about wanting to cancel my membership, and the person on the phone stated that they had fully cancelled my account and that I would be receiving a confirmation email shortly.

I never got the confirmation email, so I went back in to check the status of my account online. They had NOT cancelled my membership, but rather only delayed my next payment by a month. This was really deceptive - and it was clearly not what I had asked for. The person on the phone made it seem like they cancelled my membership, and I would have been charged if I had not double checked the status on my end. This was really frustrating and a bad way to end my membership with the gym.

This review is in honor of Jessica, Boylston, and in the voice of ESP my initials , who after speaking with me, and onceJamie , whose wisdom educated me proper taught me how incorrect the other team members were in accordance with policy guidelines.
Now as a point of honor Jessica and I came to an agreement, a payment arrangement had been made, after around 7 team members at Prudential misled me on the date in. March that I’d be billed.
Too many unexpected bills ruin a business just ask Machine now bankrupt one year after they improperly handled this Bostonian.
Jamie’s wisdom, however, educated me with thoroughgoing accuracy upon the date I’d be billed for the yearly in March and I was very specific about dates with another manager, obviously not a woman who misled me on the weight of gold I’d be out of that basic 70 bucks or I’d be over there at Prudential as I love it there too but I hate being misled.
For what it’s worth today Eddie a team member said and I quote “ Oh that’s ok you can work out today, shower and whatever “ as if I were poor as if I hadn’t worked out an arrangement as if he had any power in his team member positioning and from what I understood he sucked at Baskeball which I exceed in.
I’m praying no hoping Eddie becomes educated because should he not understand that a They Them
Pronoun specifically educating all on and not caring with 11 dead grandmothers buried right here in Massachusetts makes me a 13th generation abolitionist and I don’t take lightly to being told I’m poor because my Soul is rich and I have Jesus and Mary to thank for that and many others especially Jessica and Jamie.
Thank you Boylston Thank you Again
Amen

🚨🚨🚨 BSC does not require vaccinations of their staff. I know personally because of many conversations that one of their trainers refuses to get vaxxed (he will openly admit this) and is currently teaching a cardio class every Monday. BSC is not disclosing this fact to people signing up for and attending the class.

I have spoken several times to the manager and assistant manager about this issue for months now, and it’s evidently out of their hands (corporate policy).

I go to the gym to stay healthy. I don’t want to be working out with people- staff, no less- who refuse to do the absolute bare minimum in the face of an ongoing pandemic and mass death to protect those around them. Shame on BSC for failing to be a safe and healthy place.

UPDATE: I have been kicked out of the club for raising this issue. (To the person who responded to this comment: you can’t find my account because I’ve been booted from BSC.)

Boston Sports Club and it’s former parent company (TSI) are probably the worst company I have ever done business with. They fraudulently charged me membership fees during the pandemic when the club was not even open. And provided no option to cancel membership. They charged me nearly $800 in fraudulent charges. This is truly the worst and most dishonest company. TSI is now in bankruptcy proceedings and formed a separate company to operate BSC clubs, partially to shirk any responsibility of their behavior during the pandemic. I feel as if they took advantage of a global pandemic - a time when so many people were suffering and just trying to survive - to continue to profit. I would NOT recommend that anyone join this club given their dishonest business practices and clear efforts to fleece members.

The gym is returning back in shape. They have since reopened the sauna and have relaxed some of the restrictions. This is good news. However, please return the towel service!

The towel service was indeed convenient but is also more hygienic than members bringing in towels from home. Also, it should not be that much of an expenditure or an effort for BSC to offer this service. There are industrial sized washers and dryers on site in this gym in a closet on the side. Staff can stuff the dirty towels in the machines and fold them when they are ready.

Also, the availability of towels at the gym will prompt more people to come in and work out more frequently particularly if they don't have to worry about bringing their own towel in.

This was indeed a great amenity and convenience. Please return it!

Also, please extend the hours particularly on the weekends. Closing at 4:00 p.m. on the weekends is a little early. By having the gym open a couple extra hours on weekends and even on the weekdays it would provide more flexibility and make it less crowded as the bandwidth of time to work out would be widened. Also as people are returning to work and school the extra hours would indeed be beneficial for members and the club.

Update 4.20.2021- BSC added an option from their APP that is awesome! One can book a time for a swimming lane reservation 'Pool Reservation' and proceed up to 2 weeks in advance. In addition, if one needs to cancel because of a personal or professional schedule change, there is also the option to do so, freeing that time frame for other Member to use the time to make his or her Pool Reservation. Click on Find a Class and it will take you to Pool Reservation!

When the Club reopened, I went to visit at the end of August 2020 to see what measures were taken to ensure the safety of the Members who wanted to go back to the Gym or the pool. I liked the automatic take of each member's frontal temperature, the questions asked at the desk and the obligation to wear a mask while in the premises. I went back the next day to swim at the pool and have been 5 x week since. I feel very comfortable and safe in this location with the pool restrictions and the very frequent cleaning of the pool & the locker area and, as I noticed, in the gym area as well. Thumbs up to BSC Boylston for having put that in place and for keeping it safe that way. In addition the team working there has always been very welcoming. Gerard Riveron
since my last review, the Club has successfully put in place a reservation rule to swim. One can just call a day before of stop by the desk to reserve a swimming lane for a 30 minutes swim at a specific time. This allows to enforce the limitation of 3 swimmers only at the same time in the pool area, each in his or her own swimming lane. Bravo !

BSC Worst Manager without education with people. I have been a member for over 10 years. I have never been humiliated before in front of other people.
Before entering the gym we have to read articles and take the temperature for CORV19. That is fine. I like that procedure. It's SAVE and then you CHECK IN with your phone or card pad. Once the gyms re-opened, I stopped by to see how the gym was and I was very happy with all that I saw. The gym was spotless, equipment was spaced out/marked off to keep distance between other members. EVERYONE was wearing masks. I felt and continue to feel very safe and welcomed at this gym. The entire staff is doing a great job keeping up with these very difficult times that we are in.

BSC Boylston charged me for having membership with them during quarantine, when the gym was closed. They also refused to cancel my membership when I gave them multiple calls and hoped for their understanding during the pandemic. After reaching out to them and asking to kindly cancel my membership, they continued to charge me and refused to cooperate. The worst gym experience ever!

I am not the type of person who takes the time to write a review, ever. As a matter of fact I always wondered what would compel someone to take the time to do this. That was until I experienced such great customer service I felt compelled to make it public. At the beginning of the pandemic I was forced to leave the state and was in contact with the BSC Boylston manager Mr. Zappala. I will spare everyone the details but suffice it to say he was not only prompt and professional in his communication, he was understanding and compassionate. At a time when so many corporations are feeling the pressure of an uncertain economic future it was a pleasure to work with a branch so willing to work on behalf of their customers. Thanks for all your hard work and help BSC Boylston!

I have been trying to cancel my membership since February, and it's now July and I am still unable to do so.
I first emailed the representative who helped me open my account, and never got any response, and I got charged for March regardless. I emailed again in late March about cancellation, and the employee assured me I'm not getting charged since everyone's membership is frozen due to COVID-19, and gave me the impression that I cannot cancel my membership while it's frozen. I was moving away from Boston at the time so I didn't have the energy to deal with that and let it slipped.
Today, I just found that I got charged for the membership again. I am very upset since I was not informed that the membership is unfrozen and I would get charged again. I called my home gym and asked to cancel, but they told me I would need to either go in physically or send a physical letter. I have moved away from Boston, so my only option left is to send a physical letter in! the! year! of! 2020! Plus I probably will never get my membership fee from March and July back.
Deeply frustrating. Beware.

This is your budget gym. It’s cheaper and more run down. You get what you pay for. Still, the rowing machines don’t seem to be regularly serviced from the dust collection. A number of pieces of equipment are broken. Lastly, most of the audio is commercials about how great it is to work for the parent company.

For what you pay, it is not worth it.

I thought about giving this location 3 stars, as I'm still a member and get value from it, but decided on 2, because I'm actively looking at alternatives, and plan to cancel my membership when I find one that suits me.

BSC corporate is predatory in the way they handle their customers, and the contracts you sign with them. You can read the other reviews to see people's experiences with contracts here, but basically, read every word of your contract, don't lose it, and put important dates from the contract on your calendar right away.

Moving on to this specific location:

The good:
- There's a turf area that anyone can use with TRX straps, platform boxes for box jumps, and a couple weighted sleds
- There are kettlebells and medicine balls available for general use
- There's a pool
- There's a dry sauna
- All the standard weight and cardio equipment you'd expect from a standard gym is available.
- The personal trainer I'm working with is the best I've ever worked with. Can't speak for the other trainers, but from what I overhear, they seem competent.

The bad:
- They need way more squat racks and benches in the dumbbell area. Peak hours are terrible
- I wanted to downgrade my passport membership to a standard one location membership, but was told that this location now only sells the more expensive passport memberships.
- They don't sell personal training sessions. They sell personal training "memberships". You're committed to a certain number a month, and if you don't use them, they don't roll over. The most you can do is "pause" your membership. You also are unable to change the charge date of this "membership" once it starts.

The ugly:
- The men's locker room isn't very clean, and the showers can be particularly bad. On a few occasions, I've seen the same band-aids on the shower floor for a few days straight; it's really gross.
- The sauna has a strict no smart phone policy, so you don't have to be paranoid of some creep taking pics of you, but the policy is NOT enforced.
- The manager, Andrew doesn't want to hear about customer issues, and won't do anything to resolve them.
- This place has long struggled with theft. A year or so ago they had a sign posted suggesting people get better locks, because thieves were picking simple locks. A couple months ago, someone had a very expensive jacket stolen from the locker room. I don't blame this location for that, because that customer decided to take the risk of hanging a very expensive jacket in the locker room, with no cameras. What I take issue with however, is the manager's reaction. He decided he was fed up with hearing about customers complaints about theft, and decided to just ban everyone from hanging up their jackets, period. He posted a sign, saying jackets must be crammed in their relatively small lockers with the rest of your belongings.

When I asked him if he could change that policy back, and let us decide to take that risk, because I don't want to cram my jacket into those tight lockers, he just said "no, I'd rather have this conversation than have to deal with that". (He repeated this sentence 4 or 5 times during this conversation) I asked him if he could implement a coat check, or even add a coat rack to an area with cameras (both very simple solutions they're capable of), but he refused. He doesn't want to spend the effort. While I had him, I mentioned some of the other problems I just wrote about. (People bringing smartphones into the sauna, dirty/broken showers, etc). He got increasingly agitated, and told me what their "policy" was, and ignored the fact that it wasn't being enforced.

At the end of the conversation, in a huff, he told one of his employees to remove the remaining coat hangers from the mens locker room. Was he trying to spite me? NOT ONCE in this entire conversation did he so much as apologize for the inconvenience. It was utterly bizarre. Looking at the other reviews posted here, it looks like I'm not the only one that's had an experience like this with him.

Once again we are back to BSC not being able/willing to open on time. A group of 15-20 members waiting on Friday morning to open. They need to realize that if members are waking up this early to work out time is of the essence. I waited for 20 minutes and returned home and went to work early. My time is far too valuable. If the gym was not super convenient I would drop them like a bad habit. Equipment is consistently broken, personal trainers take up way too much floor space (They have 2 or 3 rooms/space dedicated to personal training but they insist on conducting training on the public work out floor). They allow the gym to be used by anyone when the temp gets above 90 degrees. Why should it be more crowded when I pay almost $100 at this point when anyone can come in for free? The one star is because they finally painted the place.

Solid gym, bigger than it appears and has a pool. Gets incredibly packed in the morning and evenings, completely empty on weekends. 3 squat racks, 3 flat bench. 5 free weight benches with two sets of every weight going up to 150lbs. Great location! The staff is super helpful! Decent amount of treadmills which is awesome! Can get a little busy if you're there during peak hours. Love the location of the towels! (my biggest issue with other BSC gyms). Great amount of showers and honestly better showers than other BSC gyms.

Just finished personal training with Beth, I've been recommending her to everyone! If plans change, I will come back to her. Beth is AMAZING at what she does. With all the fitness trends this year, it's hard to find a trainer that actually knows there stuff. Beth is well educated and will not only tell you what to do and how to do it, but why you're doing it. Before her, I didn't care about anything besides getting in the gym and getting out and now I don't step near anything if I haven't warmed up first or activated the proper muscles. It's difficult to find personal trainers that fit your needs and it's even more difficult to find a female trainer who lifts!! To be honest, I've interviewed about three other personal trainers before Beth and there's a reason why I stayed with her: her knowledge!

She taught me the importance of building muscle, why it's important to rest (I hate rest days), and to cut my ego short and work on form. I was squatting 90 lbs when we first started for 5 reps, I maxed out 285 x 1. I've also lost about 10-15 lbs and my body fat percentage went down by 3 which is really what I care about.

If you need a personal trainer, I recommend Beth 5 times!

If I could give zero stars I would. The gym sells you on corporate rates and non contract month to month promotions. However they're selling you a lie, they will accidentally charge you during your promotion and instead of a refund you'll get a credit. Also the gyms themselves are not uniform, but the rates are uniform. The South Station location is legit a dump, locker doors falling off, broken weights, broken unclean equipment. Meanwhile inside the Pru, it is a well run beautiful gym... Hmmm I wonder why. Also spoke with the customer service manager and was basically given attitude for wanting to cancel my membership. I was charged in total 4 times for a free two month promotion for a corporate discounted rate account. DO NOT GIVE THESE PEOPLE YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY! They will not treat you with respect.

recap, go literally anywhere else. They are not worth it.

Let me start off by saying I never really write reviews. I’m only writing this because the manager there Andrew needs to think a little more about morality and less on policy. I walk in asking to try out the gym, and one of the staff signs me in and let’s me go. I get approached by him as I’m changing in the locker room to come to the front to pay a day pass? Okay that’s fine $25 no big deal right? But wait, mid workout I find a “free trial” coupon online. I ask The manager Andrew if he can help me out and he says, “if you had presented it when you came in you could’ve worked out for free.” Again, I’m only saying this for Andrews sake... I don’t really care anymore the $25 is gone and I’m not getting it back... but if I was you I would’ve refunded the $25 and not have said, “well we are a for profit company,” c’mon Andrew that’s a pretty lame response.

A crowded, over-priced, exploitative gym. There are many machines here, but it is so crowded, especially in the mornings, that you can rarely find the equipment you need. If you're looking for a good gym experience, then it's hard to recommend Boston Sports Clubs: between the crowded gym and the awful pricing schemes, it's difficult to feel welcome here. There are plenty of other options so make sure to do a trial before signing up for a commitment!

Long story short: find something else to do, this gym/group of gyms is not worth it.

Equipment is poorly maintained, constantly broken, and dirty. Finding free weights is always a pain because they never seem to reorganize the weight room. The TVs by the cardio equipment never seem to work. The cardio equipment is so crowded together that you’re often fighting for elbow space.

The locations are dank, crowded, and often smelly. The change rooms are in need of a serious refurb, they feel dirty even after having been cleaned.

Hidden fees - an ‘annual fee’ that no one mentions when you sign up, a 45 day cancel notice that required you continue paying for 1.5 months.

Overall, a bad experience from beginning to end.

Do not go here, it's literally the worst club out of all. I had such a bad experience with a trainer, Alex Carmeli. She was an awful trainer, in fact I gained weight whilst training with her. And when I told her I couldn't afford it, she became extremely rude. I still had 8 sessions left with her before finishing my contract, and she did her best to dodge all of them. She was rude. When I cancelled on her I had to pay, but when she cancelled on me, she thought that was fine!!! Once I arrived late to the session, and that time she didn't even train with me, she was just flirting with this guy and then she told me that I was too late to even train. Hello?! I'm the one paying you!! $600 a month!! Biggest waste of money ever. I hope she gets fired, she doesn't qualify to be a personal trainer.

The only downside of this gym is the pool. It's 3 lanes and can only fit 6 swimmers at a time. It's so poorly maintained that I have to say it is the worst pool I have ever been in. I'm convinced they have the janitor dump a bottle of chlorine into it and he just walks away afterwards.

Good enough club while you're in it, but almost I-M-P-O-S-S-I-B-L-E to cancel a membership. Can't cancel by email, online, or by phone. After I moved away, I had to drive to a club in Washington, DC to have the paperwork filed. I was warned by the associate there that it probably wouldn't go through(!?!), and it hasn't: just got another bill this month. When I called to ask about this (3rd time) I was told that what I had submitted was only an "inquiry," then was hung up on.

Also, be advised they will almost certainly charge you for a month after your requested cancellation date. Terrible business practices by Town Sports International (TSI) Clubs (the parent organization). Buyer beware!
