I will start by saying I was skeptical to try someplace new at first. I went in to meet with and get information from Jason the owner and he couldn’t have been nicer. I am loving the workouts, community and the trainers! Best decision!

Northstar strikes the perfect balance of creating challenging workouts while ensuring a fun and adaptive atmosphere. The trainers are so welcoming, knowledgeable, and usually have a decent playlist to make the hour fly by. I actually look forward to waking up at 4:45 AM to workout, and am now capable of exercises I never thought I could do.

Jason has created something great for the South Shore community with North Star. Brett, Matt and Luke are the best and assemble the avengers of the coaching team! Effective workouts with a great atmosphere. Small classes (6 max) that feel personalized while working with each participant on their own set of goals. No BS, no cliques, just a straight forward approach to get you the best outcome in a 60 minute session. Thanks guys!

The team at North Star do a wonderful job creating training programs that not only build strength now but integrate functional movement for strength and agility for life! My increase in strength training has proven beneficial in other areas of movement (in the pool and on the tennis court!). I lift more here then I ever would working out on my own! And it’s a fun, encouraging and supportive environment too!

I have been working out at NorthStar for the last 14 months, and I can’t recommend it enough. Everyone there is so welcoming. Jason has hired only the very best in Luke, Brett and Matt — they will help you train the right way but moreover are caring, outstanding individuals. I had drifted away from fitness when I first walked into NorthStar in July of 2024. Don’t let that deter you - Jason has designed a small group training program that truly benefits all ages and skill / strength levels. Everyone is strapped for time these days, but even 2 days a week training at NorthStar will literally change your health and your life. Congrats to Jason and the team on building such a successful program. We are grateful for all they do to support us and the community.

I started at North Star one month ago after suffering through a winter of insane pain from a pinched nerve in my neck. I was unable to do a single pushup because of the nerve damage. North Star’s focus on strength and mobility with the added benefit of small classes and world class trainers has me feeling amazing and doing pushups again only a few weeks in! For anyone looking for a great community vibe and impactful yet approachable strength training, couldn’t recommend more!

I have had a wonderful experience at North Star Personal Training. I reached out in late summer 2024 to get more information on the gym and Jason was quick to respond and was accommodating when scheduling time to meet and discuss my personal goals and if North Star was a fit. It was apparent from the first interactions that Jason was extremely knowledgeable and also takes great pride in his brand.
I have now been a member since September 2024. The classes are motivating, challenging and there is great community- which is a necessary combination for early morning workouts. I have felt more energized and stronger since joining North Star.

North Star PT is truly the place to be! Jason and his trainer Luke are exceptional at what they do. Not only are they always friendly and welcoming of you into the gym, but they are encouraging of you to meet and exceed your goals, assist with nutrition guidance and are always finding a way to help you perfect your form or modify an exercise if you are experiencing pain or have an injury. Each class is small and pre-programed, which I find really beneficial to ensure I am doing exactly what I am supposed to be doing. In the beginning, my form was terrible and Jason spent the time explaining and teaching me how to perfect it. The environment within the gym is like no other and the community is amazing and so supportive of one another. Another added bonus, Jason regularly hosts seminars for the members and outside community to learn from various specialists such as, physical therapists, focusing on specific concerns to better themselves. It is great to be apart of a gym who truly cares about their members well-being and fitness goals. I highly recommend North Star!

Cohasset is so lucky to have North Star! The downtown space is fantastic and the small group trainings are a challenging combination of both strength and conditioning. If you're looking to get back into regular fitness routine, Northstar is the perfect place to start. The gym is top notch and Jason is an excellent trainer. But more importantly, the community is really strong. I genuinely look forward to my 5am workouts each week.
Of course you can go to the gym at 5am on your own, but it's a lot more fun to go with a great group a people and a trainer who is invested in your success.
For me personally, I'm working on becoming a better long-distance runner. Going to Northstar twice a week compliments my running program, and ensures I have the strength to avoid running injuries. I have big running goals for this year, and Jason has personalized my program in several ways to ensure I'm setup for success.

I can’t say enough good things about North Star! I joined about a year postpartum after my second baby because enough was enough with the excuses for my lack of exercising. I knew I needed a place to hold me accountable, but more importantly, had a program that told me exactly what to do so I wouldn’t have to do the thinking once I stepped into a gym.
The small class sizes ensure you get the accountability and personal attention you need. I was starting from scratch on my fitness journey and they ensured I had the proper modifications and technique to not cause any pain or injuries. The coaches are fantastic – they genuinely care and always push you to achieve your best. Since joining, I’ve seen progress in my habits and feel stronger and more confident. I have been a member at North Star since they first opened last summer. It’s been a fantastic experience all around. Jason and Luke are excellent coaches, the facility and equipment is all top notch, and the community of members is friendly and welcoming. It is always a great workout, as they consistently change the routines each month to keep things fresh. I joined North Star Personal Training in July when I was sidelined by a running injury. I’m an avid runner and when the injury happened, I knew I needed to try something new. From day one, I knew this was a special place. Jason has created an environment that fosters encouragement, growth and positivity.

My wife and I have been going to North Star for the past 2 months and it has been a great experience. Luke and Jason are dedicated to providing a welcoming and inclusive environment for all levels of fitness and backgrounds. I have a prior athletic background but was quite out of shape. The programming and workouts provide great full body, core and conditioning components. There is flexibility to challenge yourself as well. I would highly recommend North Star and look forward to working with Luke and Jason every time I go.

I decided to visit North Star PT over the summer when I was feeling mentally and physically low. I knew I needed to do something different and commit to it. Upon meeting Jason, it was clear he is a professional, knowledgeable, and kind business owner. I started going 2x per week and immediately felt better and moved to 3x. I love that you show up and the programming is already set, the classes are small (meaning you get 1:1 attention to make adjustments), the workouts are diverse but also consistent so you can see and feel your progress. More than anything, Jason has built a beautiful business and kind/motivated community. His trainer Luke, is also amazing. It’s a highlight in my day to do a class. Thanks to Jason and Luke, I’ve made so much progress in just a few months and can’t wait to keep going. I highly recommend NSPT as an investment in yourself on multiple levels.

I joined North Star in June and I've been consistently attending sessions twice a week. Day one Jason asked me my goals, like most gym owners do. My goals were not weight driven, rather I hoped to safely return to long distance running and remain free from injury post baby. Unlike other gyms, I've been to the conversation didn't stop at day one. Jason consistently asks me for feedback on how I am doing and feeling outside of the gym. He has even tailored Saturday morning workouts to ensure that I'm getting the strength that I need to support my running (rather than holding a typical cardio heavy Saturday morning plan). Four months after starting at the gym, I've peeled off over one minute average on my running pace per mile and more importantly I am injury free.
The customized approach and individual attention does not stop at Jason; Luke, the other primary personal trainer on staff, is an absolute delight. He brings a wealth of education and patience to work outs, makes himself approachable and engages every single person in the gym. If you show up ready to work I can confidently assure you that your goals will be met and you will feel seen and heard at North Star.

North Star is exactly what I was hoping for in a local gym. The programming is tailored to support each client’s experience, which is so important for those of us who want an exercise program that will avoid injury. Jason is super approachable and his style is a great balance of motivational and challenging. The classes are small, the times are flexible and the regulars are inclusive. My 14yo has also joined the high school athletes program and is gaining a new appreciation for exercising regularly. Having a great time and seeing results!

I joined North Star at the beginning of the Summer and have done both personal training & small group classes. I finally like going to the gym! Jason, the owner, is incredibly supportive and paid close attention to my goals when we first met. He has consistently encouraged me to meet those goals and then exceed them, all while making it fun and approachable! After having my second baby this winter I was feeling really rundown and weak. I was new to strength training and it has been a great experience. I already feel stronger and have more energy! The classes are tailored to the level you’re at and are not intimidating which for me is huge. It’s a really wonderful positive environment and the space is clean and beautiful which I really appreciate. So grateful I joined - it’s been life changing!
