Great place, lots of pools and hot tubs. Community was perfect to walk around and the golf course was really nice. It was a little expensive but overall worth it.

Review from someone who has lived in the villages for 9 months. The speed bumps are excessive. The Fletcher pool grout needs repair. There are hundreds of ant hills in the villages all over the lawns, ants invading condos, and ants in the mansion. The ants are literally in the pool area of the Mansion as well as all over the villages. The member fees are unreal for this level of pests. It is really sad that the landscapers are instructed to use leaf blowers and blow patio furniture around and just blow everything everywhere for hours on end in the early morning, and there is never any notice that this is going to happen or that ocean edge decided to deposit gravel by the condos.
The rules here regarding not being allowed to have house decorations or be creative regarding the color of one’s blinds make it feel extremely generic. Ocean Edge is okay with not repairing a fence for years, but people who live here are not allowed to paint the fence themselves. Too many rules. Also, the condos with the spiral staircases are treacherous. The bathrooms are too small in those models. It’s also completely ridiculous that one cannot simply use a garden hose here. And yard sales are forbidden. I pray every day that I will soon be able to live elsewhere. This development could probably get 3 or 4 stars from someone who didn’t actually live here. Also, I have on good authority that the golf course is poorly designed and that many many people who come here to play golf leave feeling depressed. Please don’t even get me started on the dysfunction of The Mansion. The concierge there doesn’t even have a map of the villages, and nobody in charge cared about ants all over the pool area. It is very sad that the hospitality at the “frost bar” is so lackadaisical. Not worth the money or hassle and incredibly understaffed.
